Joseph's story in Genesis 37 shows that even in chaos—family conflict, betrayal, and detours—God was at work. Through brokenness, dreams, and setbacks, He was guiding Joseph toward His greater plan. It reminds us to trust that God is still working, even when life feels out of control.Watch more sermons from the Plot Twist series at https://crosstownalliance.com/plottwist/ABOUT THIS SERIESBetrayed. Sold. Accused. Forgotten. Joseph had every reason to give up, but what was meant for evil, God used for good. This is a series on Joseph's incredible story—a reminder of hope for anyone who's felt overlooked or stuck, and of the God who is still guiding our stories today.Find locations, videos, and more info about us at https://www.crosstownalliance.com or download the Church Center app at https://crosstownalliance.churchcenter.com/setupFIND US ON SOCIAL MEDIAFacebook: @crosstownallianceInstagram: @crosstownallianceTikTok: @crosstownalliancechurchYouTube: @crosstownalliance#crosstown #sermon #christian #christianity #church #crosstownalliance #onlinechurch #churchpodcast #christianpodcast
Memories can bring joy but also regret, pain, and embarrassment that weigh us down. God helps us move forward by calling us to let go of the past like Paul did, find His purpose in it because nothing is wasted, not let it define us since in Christ we're a new creation, and fix our eyes on what's ahead by keeping our focus on Jesus. Through Christ, we are set free from the weight of yesterday so that we can live for Him today.Watch more sermons from the Think Again series at https://crosstownalliance.com/thinkagain/ABOUT THIS SERIESMost of us assume that if we think it, it must be true—or at least worth listening to. But Scripture tells a different story. Worrying, replaying conversations, or comparing ourselves to others—only fuels stress and anxiety. Paul offers a better way in Philippians 4:8–9: focus on what is true, honorable, pure, lovely, and praiseworthy. Peace doesn't come from ignoring problems but from filling our minds with God's truth and goodness. When we take our thoughts captive and fix them on Him, we experience His peace even in life's troubles.Watch more sermons from the Think Again series at https://crosstownalliance.com/thinkagain/ABOUT THIS SERIESMost of us assume that if we think it, it must be true—or at least worth listening to. We are in a spiritual war fought in the heart and mind, where the enemy builds strongholds of lies that shape our identity and control our lives. Scripture calls us to take every thought captive, replacing lies with God's truth, guarding what we consume, and filling our minds with His Word. Jesus not only saves us by grace but also has the power to break every stronghold and set us free.Watch more sermons from the Think Again series at https://crosstownalliance.com/thinkagain/ABOUT THIS SERIESMost of us assume that if we think it, it must be true—or at least worth listening to. The Christian life isn't a playground—it's a battleground. Victory starts in your mind. Take every thought captive, renew your mind with God's truth, and declare: “My mind is under new management.”Every believer faces a daily battle in the mind—a war between the flesh and the Spirit. Paul describes in Romans 7 the struggle of wanting to do right but feeling trapped by sin, yet finding hope in Jesus. True freedom begins in our thoughts, and Romans 12:2 shows the way: by renewing our minds with God's truth, we overcome lies and discover life in Christ.Watch more sermons from the Think Again series at https://crosstownalliance.com/thinkagain/ABOUT THIS SERIESMost of us assume that if we think it, it must be true—or at least worth listening to. Together Day is a celebration of unity, reminding us that Crosstown isn't just five separate campuses—it's one church family with one calling, one mission, and one Spirit. Rooted in Ephesians 4, Pastor Jeremy emphasizes that no matter where we gather, we share the same identity as followers of Jesus—working toward the same goal of leading people to full devotion to Christ and are empowered by the same Holy Spirit. Through stories of life change, we're reminded that we're part of something bigger—and that God is powerfully at work in every location.Watch more sermons from Crosstown Alliance at https://crosstownalliance.com/sermons/Find locations, videos, and more info about us at https://www.crosstownalliance.com or download the Church Center app at https://crosstownalliance.churchcenter.com/setupFIND US ON SOCIAL MEDIAFacebook: @crosstownallianceInstagram: @crosstownallianceTikTok: @crosstownalliancechurchYouTube: @crosstownalliance#crosstown #sermon #christian #christianity #church #crosstownalliance #onlinechurch #churchpodcast #christianpodcast
Living out your faith makes a real difference. Even in prison, Paul prayed for chances to share Jesus and encouraged others to live wisely and speak kindly. He points out people who've helped him and the Kingdom—reminding us our actions matter. So pray big, live with purpose, and be someone who impacts others for Jesus.Watch more sermons from the Elevate: Christ Above All Things series at https://crosstownalliance.com/elevate/ABOUT THIS SERIESLife pulls us in every direction, but Colossians points us back to what matters most: Christ at the center. Peace thrives where Christ reigns—in our marriages, families, and work. When we follow His ways instead of the world's, relationships are marked by love, respect, and sincerity. If your mindset reflects culture more than Christ, it's time to shift. Ask Him to fill you with His love, commit to real change, and guard what influences you. As you live to honor Him, His peace will guard your heart and mind.Watch more sermons from the Elevate: Christ Above All Things series at https://crosstownalliance.com/elevate/ABOUT THIS SERIESLife pulls us in every direction, but Colossians points us back to what matters most: Christ at the center. Following Jesus means leaving your old ways behind and living a new life with Him at the center. Paul reminds us to focus our hearts and minds on things above—not just what's right in front of us—because that shapes who we're becoming. When you said yes to Jesus, the old you died, and now your identity is found in Him. That means it's time to let go of things like anger, selfishness, and sin, and start becoming more like Christ. It's not just about avoiding the wrong stuff—it's about chasing after the right things. Ask yourself: what needs to go, and what needs to grow?Scripture: Colossians 3:1-17 (ESV)Watch more sermons from the Elevate: Christ Above All Things series at https://crosstownalliance.com/elevate/ABOUT THIS SERIESLife pulls us in every direction, but Colossians points us back to what matters most: Christ at the center. Growing in faith starts by avoiding false signs of growth—like rigid rules, spiritual comparisons, or relying on religious practices. These can distract from the finished work of Christ. True growth comes from staying connected to Jesus, who gives us new life. Rest in what He's done—and help others do the same. Christ is enough.Scripture: Colossians 2:16-23 (ESV)Watch more sermons from the Elevate: Christ Above All Things series at https://crosstownalliance.com/elevate/ABOUT THIS SERIESLife pulls us in every direction, but Colossians points us back to what matters most: Christ at the center. If you were arrested for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you? Through Christ, our sins are forgiven and our debt is paid, yet many still live as if they're in chains. We're called to live in the freedom we've received—fully alive.Scripture: Colossians 2:6-15 (ESV)Watch more sermons from the Elevate: Christ Above All Things series at https://crosstownalliance.com/elevate/ABOUT THIS SERIESLife pulls us in every direction, but Colossians points us back to what matters most: Christ at the center. To stay amazed by Jesus Christ, we must remember who He truly is—the visible image of God, the Creator of all, the head of the Church, the conqueror of death, and the one who brings reconciliation through the cross.
