Samuel teaches about the importance of prayer, especially intercession, explaining that it starts with personal connection to God and extends to praying for others. He uses biblical examples to show that everyone is called to intercede, encouraging listeners to persist in prayer for others until spiritual growth and unity with Jesus are achieved.

BREAKING NEWS: Two Christian music artists post content, feel misunderstood, and reconcile their differences like mature adults. If you don't know this story (which is very specific to the past couple of weeks), don't worry! Trevor and Ryan rehash the details of the story so far, discuss the implications for Christian maturity, and talk about how weird it is to see people use online content for relational health and self-sacrifice. Pastor Taylor unpacks 2 Corinthians 5 and the essence of reconciliation.
2 Corinthians 5:17-19 ESV Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.
In the final part of a series on relational intelligence, Pastor Moses discusses the ministry of reconciliation, which he says is not just a message but a lifestyle. He explains that because we have been reconciled with God, we are now obligated to live in right relationship with others. The sermon uses the story of Joseph and his brothers to illustrate how God can heal us from the pain caused by others and redeem the situation for His purposes. He also points out that you can release people without resentment and walk in freedom and forgiveness without reunion. The sermon concludes with the message that the love of Christ should control us, not our emotions or past hurts, which allows us to live out the ministry of reconciliation.Watch this message to understand the ministry of reconciliation!Don't forget to like and subscribe! #reconciliation #forgiveness #community #sundaymessage

In this powerful exploration of the book of Philemon, we're challenged to confront the reality of when life doesn't go according to plan. Through the lens of three characters - Onesimus, Philemon, and Paul - we see how the gospel transforms our responses to unexpected situations. The central message revolves around repentance and forgiveness, core elements of our faith that we're called to practice in tangible ways. As we reflect on Onesimus' journey of owning his mistakes and Philemon's call to forgive deeply, we're reminded of our own need for both repentance and forgiveness in our daily lives. This message encourages us to be ministers of reconciliation, actively participating in healing broken relationships just as Christ reconciled us to God. It's a profound reminder that our faith isn't just theological, but practical - calling us to live out the gospel in our interactions with others, even when it's uncomfortable or challenging. If you want help in starting this journey, please don't hesitate to reach out! The Ministry of Reconciliation: Scripture Reflection for June 14, 2025 by Priests for Life

Salvation, The Sanctuary Service, June 1, 2025
Today, we talk about the task God gives us with the message of reconciliation. All of us have a role to play in representing the Kingdom of God, so that the grace of God and the change that comes with reconciliation can be experienced by all who accept what Jesus did for us on the cross.

Homily for the 5th Sunday of Lent (Recorded at the 11AM Mass - St. Aloysius, Buckley, WA on April 6, 2025) Total Time 13m58s)Angelus Message of Pope Francis (March 10, 204)Dear brothers and sisters, buongiorno! On this fourth Sunday of Lent, the Gospel presents us with the figure of Nicodemus (cf. Jn 3:14-21), a Pharisee, “a ruler of the Jews” (Jn 3:1). He saw the signs Jesus performed, he recognized him as a teacher sent by God, and he went to meet him by night, so as not to be seen. The Lord welcomes him, converses with him and reveals to him that he came not to condemn, but to save the world (cf. v. 17). Let us pause to reflect on this: Jesus came not to condemn, but to save. This is beautiful!Often in the Gospel we see Christ revealing the intentions of the people he meets, at times unmasking their false attitudes, such as with the Pharisees (cf. Mt 23:27-32), or making them reflect on the disorder of their life, as with the Samaritan woman (cf. Jn 4:5-42). There are no secrets before Jesus: he reads them in the heart, in each of our hearts. This ability could be disturbing because, if used badly, it can harm people, exposing them to merciless judgements. Indeed, no one is perfect: we are all sinners, we all make mistakes, and if the Lord were to use his knowledge of our weaknesses to condemn us, no one could be saved. But it is not like this. Indeed, he does not use them in order to point the finger at us, but to embrace our life, to free us from sins and to save us. Jesus is not interested in putting us on trial or subjecting us to judgement; He wants none of us to be lost. The Lord's gaze upon every one of us is not a blinding beacon that dazzles us and puts us in difficulty, but rather the gentle glimmer of a friendly lamp, that helps us to see the good in ourselves and to be aware of the evil, so that we may be converted and healed with the support of his grace.Jesus came not to condemn, but to save the world. Think of us, who very often condemn others; many times, we like to speak badly, to go in search of gossip against others. Let us ask the Lord to give us, all of us, this merciful gaze, to look at others as he looks at us.May Mary help us to wish the best for one another."Mercy Said No" by CeCe Winans

Kevin Ababio | The Ministry of Reconciliation | Romans 5:6-11 | 3.30.25 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation. Reconciliation is woven into the fabric of God's heart and God's intention for relationship between His people. Today we discuss why it is important for us to reflect God's design in reconciling when possible.

DOWNLOAD KEYNOTE SLIDES 2 Corinthians 5:17-18 – “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ and has given us the ministry of reconciliation.” Key Themes: 1. Reconciliation Begins in Christ ◦ True transformation happens in Christ—not through good works or self-effort. ◦ God reconciled us to Himself through Jesus and gave us the ministry of reconciliation. 2. You Belong to God ◦ 1 Corinthians 6:19-20: "You are not your own; you were bought at a price." ◦ Many people try to add Jesus to their lives rather than fully surrendering to Him. ◦ God doesn't do "timeshares" with our lives—He wants everything, not just a portion. 3. God Provides What He Requires ◦ Everything God asks of us, He also provides the grace to fulfill. ◦ Just as in education or training, high expectations come with high investment. ◦ Salvation is by grace through faith plus nothing (Ephesians 2:8-9). 4. With Reconciliation Comes with Responsibility ◦ Reconciliation not just a personal benefit; it's a calling to extend it to others. ◦ We are reassigned after being reconciled—called to help restore others. ◦ The message must be shared, not just received. 5. Seeing People as God Sees Them ◦ Don't look away from the broken, hurting, or lost—see them, engage with them. ◦ True reconciliation requires recognition: ▪ Recognizing God's nature and human nature. ▪ Understanding that all people are created in God's image (Imago Dei), even if they don't yet reflect it. 6. Conciliation Before Reconciliation ◦ Reconciliation requires addressing what caused the division. ◦ No reconciliation without recognition and repentance. ◦ Applies to racial issues, family conflicts, and most importantly, our relationship with God. 7. Understand Human Nature ◦ The human heart is deceitful and desperately wicked (Jeremiah 17:9). ◦ People want a god that serves them, but the true God is the one they must serve. 8. Indicators of the true God: • Is from everlasting to everlasting • Known to Adam, Abraham, Moses and the even the pagans of every generation • Has the power to create, destroy, heal and reform • Passes final judgment • Knows the motivations of the heart • Has purpose that transcends self-serving interests of people • Manifests His presence in the earth through the Holy Spirit • Has a son name Jesus Christ, who is God the Son 9. The Power of the Gospel ◦Salvation only comes through the message of Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). ◦The gospel itself is the power of God to salvation (Romans 1:16). ◦Our role is to preach Jesus, not just share opinions or impress people. 10. The Prodigal Son: A Picture of Reconciliation (Luke 15:11-31) ◦God eagerly watches for people to return to Him. When the prodigal son came to himself, he repented and returned. The Father welcomed him back with open arms, showing God's heart. Don't be jealous when God restores others—join in the mission of reconciliation. Final Charge: Be Ministers of Reconciliation • Recognize that all people belong to God. • Share the gospel because salvation only comes through hearing and receiving it. • Help bring prodigals home to God. • Understand that God does not throw people away—He restores them. This sermon powerfully emphasizes the responsibility of believers to not only receive reconciliation but actively extend it to others. It challenges listeners to fully surrender to Christ, recognize the power of the gospel, and help others find their way back to God. This Sunday Pastor Jeff resumes our sermon series entitled “Called Together,” as we continue exploring various questions about what it means to be church together. We've already explored why you need us, and why we need you. Now this week we'll explore why the world needs us. Given the way many churches are these days, lots of people might say that church is the last thing the world needs more of! Sadly, there's a lot of truth to that. But what if churches lived up the fullness of Jesus' vision? What would that look like? And how can we be that? Join us on Sunday for a thought-provoking sermon.
