Do you want football analysis that isn't just box score run downs? Are you tired of Twitter assholes who know more than you (according to them, at least)? Do you appreciate cartoon references? Well, you're where you belong, then. We take football much more seriously than we take ourselves. Oh, and we love our bits. We'll leave it up to you to determine what "bits" means.
We are back from our own off-season to go through every team leading up to the start of the 2024 season! In this episode we are covering the AFC North and NFC North: Bengals, Browns, Ravens, Steelers, Packers, Vikings, Lions, and Bears. We broke down the depth charts for each teams and outlined how we see their seasons going. Join us next week for two more divisions! Recorded 8/8/24 at 7PM EST
We're wrapping up our prospect coverage with the RB and TE classes for the 2024 draft. Of course Brock Bowers is amazing, but who else at TE should you know about? And who is the top dog in a big running back blob this year? We've got you covered so you don't have to watch a bunch of mediocre running back film! Recorded 4-23-24 at 7:30PM EST
It's time to review this loaded WR class! This was truly a treat for us, as we got to spend time watching the elite trio up top and dig into the next tiers of guys. We are much lower than consensus on the presumed #4 WR, and there are some hyped 40 times that we needed to dissect. Listen to find out who we think is actually deserving of the #4 WR label. Recorded 4-19-24
It's Draft Season! We kick it off with the QBs as usual here, diving into the top 6 prospects. We nitpicked the top 4 guys projected to go early (Williams, Maye, Daniels, and McCarthy) and broke down what they do well and where the floor outcomes could be. We also provided some thoughts on Nix and Penix and discussed which was actually worth a first. We will be sharing our thoughts on the other QB prospects later on in an article on mozzyandthemuscle.com. Recorded 4-16-24 at 7PM EST.
The 2024 NFL Season is now upon us and Free Agency is nearly wrapped up. While there are still a some notable pending FA's (which we covered), most of the movement has concluded. In this episode, we reviewed every notable signing/departure, trade, and coaching change. If you have been tuned out since the Super Bowl, we've got you covered. Recorded 4-10-24 around 8 PM EST
We close out the season with one final preview before we get into Free Agency and Draft Season. The KC defense is thankfully giving us plenty to talk about here, as their approach to defending SF will determine which San Fran weapons carry the load. In this episode we cover which main guys we like, who some possible sleepers are, and what routes we are taking for DFS lineups. Recorded 2-7-24 at 8PM EST
It's almost time to say goodbye for the season, but we've got an awesome round before we get to the Super Bowl. Two of the best young QBs in the league face off in the AFC game that may be more about the defenses. In the NFC, we've got an upset brewing for the Lions to potentially break their curse. Recorded 1-25-24 around 8PM EST
The Sunday games of the Divisional round both feature sub-touchdown spreads, making for a more nerve-racking day. We like one of the underdogs here as well thanks to injuries and a budding rookie, but a certain chef may be able to stave them off. This isn't a food podcast, but I hope you're ready to Cook some Rice! Recorded at 8:30 PM EST on 1-19-24
We kick off this round of the playoffs with two games that, as of this recording, have 9.5 point spreads. That seems pretty hefty for this point in the season, so we'll be breaking down why these teams will (or won't) cover, and what type of chance they have to win outright. We're digging into specific matchup as well to help you make the best bets and DFS choices you can this weekend. Recorded 1-18-24 at 9PM EST
While the first Sunday game will likely endure some terrible weather, the following three games all look like they could be shootouts (at least for one side). After the Steelers and Bills slog it out, we'll get to see four quarters of Cowboys offense, a meaningful return to DET for Stafford, and... Mike Evans. Listen to find out who we like for the Sunday slate and which values could set you apart. Recorded 1-12-24 around 9 PM EST
The playoffs have arrived and they're kicking off with a surprise matchup between the Browns and Texans. Really, who would've thought Flacco would be traveling to Houston for a playoff game? It looks to be an exciting one, but injuries are looming for both teams. That's the case for the night game too, as the Dolphin are coming in banged up after last week's divisional bout. It looks like Waddle and Mostert will be back, but will that be enough to take down the Chiefs? Recorded 1-11-24 at 9:30 PM EST
We close out the regular season with a real doozy. Between injuries and resting players, there was a LOT to cover, but we did our best to get through it succinctly. With most leagues completed, a lot of this is through a DFS lens, as we had to decipher motivation and playing time for several teams. We hope you get as much out of this as we put into it. Recorded 1-6-24 at 1pm EST
Week 18 is one of our favorite times of the season. Resting players, incentives, and various tomfooleries make their way onto the scene for an appearance before we dip into the playoffs. With those comes a chance for a major edge in the betting market and DFS, the latter of which we're here to prepare you for. Maybe we'll start a betting channel next year. Anyways, enjoy our breakdown of this 2-gamer! Recorded 1-4-24 around 9PM EST
We have the lowest total game of the week on TNF and the highest total on Saturday. We're covering them both here in a short 'sode before we dive into everything else tomorrow. While we hope you don't have to trust any Browns or Jets in your fantasy championship, it'll be a fun showdown. Meanwhile, Cowboys and Lions may propel your team to glory this week. Recorded 12-27-23 around 10PM EST
As the NFL continues to fill more than half of our days with football, we continue to adjust our recording schedules to cover as many games as we can. TNF features two NFC teams trending in opposite directions fighting for their playoff lives, while Saturday gives us a down and dirty AFC North game... and the Chargers. Recorded 12-20-23 at 8PM EST
We continue the Week 15 trek with our Sunday and Monday games... many of which look bleak. Offensive line injuries and weather are factors in a lot of these games, giving us some low totals and limited fantasy interest. There are some bangers in the 4pm window that we want to stack, so listen on to hear what our plan of attack is for the DFS main slate! Recorded 12-16-23 at 5PM EST
To kick off Week 15, we've got an episode covering just the Saturday games. With two of these games featuring backup QB matchups, we've got a wide range of outcomes tomorrow. We're going to be watching how Browning does vs. the Minny Blitz, how much Minshew keeps forcing it to Pittman, and how close DET will get to breaking a single-game rushing record. We closed out the episode with a tag-team DFS lineup build as well. Recorded 12-14-23 during the Chargers' funeral.
Normally these types of weeks are reserved for the first half of the season, but we have ourselves a major tomfoolery week ahead. With several cross-conference matchups and even more games tilted by injuries, a lot of these games are going to skew in weird directions. There are a lot of upsets we like (more than usual) and we of course broke down all the attack spots we identified. Listen to find out which dogs we're picking and who our sneaky RB of the week is! Recorded on 12-1-23 at 9PM EST
We are already to Week 13! The season is flying by and we're kicking off this week with what we believe may be a routing of a bird team. This looks to be a tough spot for SEA, but there are a few key matchups they may be able to exploit. Meanwhile, a few Cowboys are in major smash spots. Listen to find out who we think will carry your showdown lineups to glory! Recorded 11-29-23 at 7PM EST
We hope the spread at your Thanksgiving dinner is as large as the spreads in these games! None of these divisional matchups project to be particularly close, but there are avenues for the underdogs to be pesky. We also went over the Thanksgiving DFS slate before sharing Mozzy's misery for the Friday game. Recorded 11-21-23
Thank you for tuning in! My voice is a bit scraggly this week, but the takes are much stronger than my voice. Unfortunately, the Saints being on bye wasn't enough to cure my ailments. We have quite a few banger games this week, which is in stark contrast with the last two weeks. Let's hope they live up to expectations, unlike TNF (pour one out for Joey B and Mandrews). Recorded 11-17-23 at 9PM EST
Finally, a good primetime matchup! While it would be more exciting with Higgins in, we're still looking forward to this divisional clash. Things are lining up for Chase to smash and for the Ravens to keep on running, so who comes out on top? Recorded 11-15-23 at 8PM EST
It's 11/11, make a wish that your team doesn't crap the bed this weekend! We'll use our wishes on something else, though, since the Raiders and Jets are squaring off in primetime. Maybe we'll wish for another TB shootout! Or Murray Scurries! Or… maybe even… a normal game between the Saints and Vikings? Too much? We'll stick to the ones that won't take multiple genies. Recorded 11-10-23 at 10 PM EST
Welcome to week 9, where all the good teams are on bye or playing in primetime slots (if 9:30AM counts as primetime). While the day starts and ends with some bangers, we have a lot of low totals sandwiched in between them. Will DAL@PHI be the only good main slate game, or will we get some surprise goodness from the others? Recorded 11-4-23 around 9PM EST
Can Billie Jeans torch the Steelers like he did the Dirty Birds? Or will he flame out against a team that can actually generate pressure? Will either o-line hold up? Listen on to find out who we think comes out victorious. Recorded 11-1-23 at 9:30 PM EST
We're about halfway through the old-length season and several teams are rolling out backup QBs this week. Several others are sticking with QBs of backup quality. We've got a few gross games where both teams fit those buckets, but a few potential bangers as well. Here at Mozzy and the Muscle, we give love to all of them. Recorded 10-28-23 around 2PM EST
Scampa Bay heads to Barfalo for a primetime matchup between two teams who really browned the bed last week. Baker has been a faker (not the cool gamer) the last two weeks, while Josh Allen was a raisin in the Halloween bag last week. Will both of them show up and give us a banger, or will we be looking at a gross and/or one-sided affair? Recorded 10-25-23 at 8PM EST
With six teams on bye this week, you're gonna need some gross streams. We've got you covered there, and of course we didn't forget about defenses and kickers. We have several games with totals of 40 and under, so the league is on board with the gross memo this week as well. We also covered the DFS slate (which may also be gross), who is overdue for touchdowns, and which matchups might provide some juicy stacks. Recorded 10-19-23 around 5PM EST
We both forgot to say that we are taking Jacksonville to win as long as Lawrence plays, so let me lead off with that. If it's Beathard... all bets are off. We both think this game will be gross overall, but there are a few spots where we can attack matchups and bank on regression. Recorded 10-18-23 around 8PM EST
Last week was tough and this week… might also be tough. We're at the point where we feel confident enough to dissect the player matchups, but teams as a whole still like to bamboozle us. Join us as we go through the week 6 slate and go through a slew of TE options, D/ST choices, and game stacks that we like. Recorded 10-13-23 around 8PM EST
Wow thank you Roger for putting the Broncos in yet another primetime game! Our favorite Thursday night losers travel to Arrowhead to take on a division "rival" that has beaten them 9 out of their last 10 matchups. Can Denver break the chain, or at least get close? Or will Mahomes and Co. smash this terrible defense into oblivion before Russell can say unlimited? Recorded 10-11-23 around 5 PM EST
Trends are forming, injuries are compiling, and coverages are busting. It's week 5! We have a lot of good matchups this week, including multiple bangers in the afternoon window, but we're a bit worried about some injury-induced tomfoolery in other games. Listen to find out where we see potential upsets (or at least covers) and who we think is primed for a good week. Recorded 10-7-23 around 8:30 PM EST
With almost a fourth of the season in the books, we're starting to get a grasp of who teams are. However, can anyone confidently say how good the Commanders are? Well, we at least think they're better than the Bears, who didn't look good until they faced the worst defense of the decade. Will we see Fields continue his hotness, or will Eberflus be on the hot seat? Recorded 10-4-23 at 8PM EST
With injuries piling up for several teams, the importance of depth is becoming prominent this week. We like a few upsets because of this, and OH YEAH Ekeler got ruled “doubtful” about a minute after we stopped recording. We've also seen several rookies shine to start the year, so we are eager to see if a certain under-used receiver finally gets more work. Recorded 9-29-23 right before the Ekeler news
We're back after a brief hiatus to kick off Week 4! We're blessed with a divisional matchup between two competent teams this week, which we weren't able to say often last season. Injuries are going to play a big role here, but we think Detroit is rightfully favored. Recorded 9-27-23 at 8:30 PM EST
It's overcorrection week! Enjoy your early victory lapping while it lasts, because half of your takes are going to end up wrong in week 2, as always. As we try our best to determine who is any good, we break down each matchup in hopes of pinpointing which teams will actually look the same as last week. Recorded 9-14-23 around 6PM EST
We're here to get you ready for Thursday night! With this being our first short-rest TNF game, don't forget how wonky things can get in these bouts. We broke down the matchup and who like for fantasy, as well as where we lean for bets. We also went over our Week 1 picks and calls, and Mozzy lit up a certain LA coach. Hint: it wasn't McVay. Recorded 9-12-23 at 8PM EST
It's finally here! Week 1 has arrived and we are stoked to be back. The first week of the season is always wacky as we navigate through the changes, but we're here to help. We've got upsets, we've got streamers, and we've got BANGERS! Listen on to hear who we like for each game and who we're picking for bets. Recorded 9-4-23 at 2pm EST
We are lower than consensus on this division, especially at the top. O-line woes and QB injuries loom across the NFC West, meaning Arizona may not be the only team in for some doom and gloom. We never wish ill upon any player, but we do kinda want Shanny to step on a lego. Recorded 8-27-23
As the lone respectable division in this conference, we were excited to talk about the NFC East. It looks like we're set to get three playoff teams from this division, so long as they don't beat the crap out of each other too much in the process. Recorded 8-27-23
The NFC South is a division in the National Football League. Recorded 8-27-23
Onto the NFC where anything can happen! We kick it off with the North once again, where it feels like it's anyone's division. All of these teams are relying on a lot of young guys to take the next step, but some of them may be slower to mesh than others. Recorded 8-27-23
We conclude our AFC previews with the most disappointing division in football last year: the West. This group is why I'm so wary of my AFC North predictions, but we will likely see some steps forward among all but one of these teams. You probably know which one I am leaving out. And it's not KC on technicality. Can McDan. Recorded 8-13-23
East? I though you said Weast! This division is going to make one of these teams look dumb, as all of them have a realistic shot at winning it. Health and chemistry will dictate the success of the AFC East teams, as we have questions surrounding new personnel, new offenses, and a certain offensive line. Recorded 8-13-23
We continue our trek through the AFC with the weakest division in the conference: the South. This division features 2 rookie QBs (albeit top-3 picks) and two teams who were scratching and clawing to get into the playoffs last season. The Jaguars looks to build on their success, while the Titans hope Henry can give them one more good year. Recorded 8-13-23
We kick the AFC off with the best division in football: the North. Will all of these teams hit double digit wins, or will the bottom fall out for one of them? Vegas predicts all of them to be .500 or better, so either we're looking at a historically strong division, or something's gotta give. Recorded 8-13-23
We did record this before Hopkins went to the Titans, btw. That being said, we still like our team. This was Mozzy's first Best Ball draft, so we had a few moments of calamity, but that's part of the fun. Let us know what you think of our team on Twitter (or is it "X" now) or tell us what you would've done instead. We are @MozzyandMuscle on the BirdX app.
We're back to go over ALL of the changes for NFC teams. That includes draft picks, major coaching changes, and players lost/gained in Trades or Free Agency. Veteran moves before the draft tend to get lost in the shuffle, so we like to include them when talking about the rookies so we keep our expectations in check. This one is a doozy! PS: this was recorded before Dalvin Cook was officially cut, but we did cover that scenario.

We wrap up our pre-draft rankings with a loaded Tight End class, which was a nice change of pace from our last two episodes. This group is STACKED! Whether you need a pass-catcher, a blocker, or both, this is a great year to be in need of a tight end. Multiple are projected to go in the first round, and the first two days could see ten or more go off the board. We went over our top ten in this episode. Recorded 4-26-23
Remember when 2023 rookie picks we supposed to be all the rage? Those days are long gone as we continue through a lackluster group of fantasy options in this RB class. Bijan is a blue-chip prospect, and there are two clear runner-ups after him. Past that, it's sort of like you're bobbing for apples... if apples were solid (but not special) running backs. Most of this class past the top 3 will find landing spots based on fit, and there are a few in particular we think could capitalize. Recorded 4-24-23
