Richard Sherman provides a comprehensive review of an eventful Week 18, beginning with the Seattle Seahawks securing the NFC’s top seed after a commanding defensive victory over the San Francisco 49ers. He highlights Mike Macdonald’s defensive scheme, the effort disparity between the teams, Christian McCaffrey’s late drop, and Sam Darnold’s inconsistent performance. Sherman explores all key NFC playoff scenarios—such as the 49ers possibly facing the Eagles, the Rams clinching the 5th seed to face the Panthers, and the Packers versus Bears Wild Card matchup—along with reactions to Matthew Stafford’s MVP contention, the Lions’ dramatic win over Chicago, Michael Wilson’s emergence in Arizona, and the Falcons-Saints result that sends Carolina to the playoffs. He also discusses the AFC outlook, covering Houston’s rise, Indianapolis’ quarterback dilemmas, Jacksonville’s AFC South championship, and the upcoming Bills-Jags matchup, analyzing how each team approaches the postseason. For an in-depth analysis of the Seahawks, 49ers, Rams, Eagles, Packers, Bears, Texans, Jaguars, Bills, and more, this is the complete Week 18 and NFL playoff preview. Don't know how or can explain how this team is consistently winning these 1 score/close games.. but done trying to figure it out-call team of destiny? It appears something is going to happen at some point to get them to the winner's circle late in ANY given football game this season.
"I'd rather the Texans play the Steelers in the wild card round rather than the Ravens"? "Matthew Stafford lost the MVP last night in Rams LOSS to ATL Falcons"? "Ole Miss is the ONLY team you'd be surprised to win the National Championship this year in the CFP"?
Whoever was in the camp last week that Texans WR Nico Collins was the MOST important & vital piece the Texans can't lose on this roster.. You've looked good the last 2 weeks; 7 rec, 116 on 13 targets-that's just one part of the story.. His Impact in the 4th quarter with either catches or drawn PI's have been YUGE for these Houston Texans-Nico's presence was & IS a huge impact on this Texan Offense scoring TD's
Tape Drop … CJ Stroud was not good. Talked about the 2 big TD Throws in 1Q vs Chargers on Monday, Clint says that's where the good stopped OH MY.. The 2 interceptions are going to have a lasting impact-bad decisions by the QB, but the timing had to be painful for DeMeco..

NFL No Huddle: Randy and Abe discuss the myriad of fantastic games we got to witness during the holiday weekend, and what to look forward to in week 18.
Send us a textIn this episode of Brewstilled, I'm recapping week 17 for the 2025 NFL season. For week 17, we're one week away from the end of the regular season with the playoffs coming. The Detroit Lions lost to the Vikings as Detroit has now been eliminated from playoff contention. The Cowboys, despite being eliminated from playoff contention, defeated the Washington Commanders on Christmas Day. Yet, the Cowboys are now facing what could be a soap opera-style offseason. The Ravens won against the Packers, but their playoff chances are still slim. Will the Ravens trade Lamar Jackson? The Jaguars won against the Colts as they look to secure the AFC South. Tampa Bay lost again as they now face a winner takes all game against the Panthers set to take place in week 18. I'll be recapping it here on Brewstilled with a Christmas style coffee from Starbucks as the coffee pairing.

Munaf Manji and SleepyJ talk NFL Week 17 player props. The NFL regular season is winding down, and Week 17 presents a complex betting landscape shaped by playoff positioning, player motivation, and late season incentives. On the latest episode of RJ Bell's Dream Preview, Munaf Manji and SleepyJ broke down how those factors are influencing player prop markets across the board, with an emphasis on discipline and game script rather than chasing inflated narratives. They noted that with many playoff seeds already decided, sportsbooks and bettors alike are gravitating toward incentive driven props, which can cause numbers to move quickly and lose value. As a result, both stressed the importance of identifying matchups where motivation and opportunity align naturally rather than forcing plays based on headlines. One early focus was quarterback props, starting with Geno Smith under his passing yardage total against the Giants. SleepyJ argued that Las Vegas has little incentive to open up the offense, especially with Brock Bowers sidelined and Smith dealing with lingering injuries. A conservative, run heavy approach or even an early exit for Smith made the under appealing. Manji agreed, adding that the Raiders' broader organizational incentives point toward limiting risk at quarterback. On the other side of the spectrum, Trevor Lawrence was highlighted as a strong over candidate against Indianapolis. The Colts' secondary has struggled badly in recent weeks, and with the AFC South still at stake, Lawrence is expected to shoulder the offensive load again, making his passing yardage line attractive. In the running back market, SleepyJ took a contrarian stance with Chuba Hubbard under his combined rushing and receiving total, citing likely negative game script and a shifting backfield rotation that favors Rico Dowdle in passing situations. Manji countered with Chase Brown over his rushing yards against Arizona, pointing to a Cardinals defense that has consistently allowed explosive ground production and a Bengals offense capable of playing from ahead. Wide receiver props followed a similar pattern of value hunting. Romeo Doubs was identified as an over play due to his low yardage number and his established role as a downfield threat in Green Bay's offense. Manji expanded on the incentive angle with Stefon Diggs, who is chasing significant contract bonuses tied to receptions and yardage. Against a depleted Jets secondary, Diggs' receiving yardage over was framed as both situationally and statistically sound. At tight end, SleepyJ continued his season long strategy of targeting Indianapolis with opposing tight ends, backing Brenton Strange over his reception total as a reliable option for Lawrence. Manji stayed in a high total environment with Trey McBride over his receiving yards against Cincinnati, citing the Bengals' ongoing struggles defending the position and McBride's strong road splits. The episode's featured best bet centered on Saquon Barkley over his rushing yardage against Buffalo. Both hosts emphasized the Bills' vulnerability against the run and Philadelphia's recent commitment to feeding Barkley, making the over a straightforward play despite a marquee matchup. Together, the discussion reinforced a clear theme for Week 17, focus on matchup driven edges and realistic game flow rather than crowded incentive narratives, a disciplined approach as the regular season reaches its final stretch.
