On this edition of Political Breakfast: Democrats are calling it "Brian's Blunder." That's referring to a campaign ad for Republicans to unseat Democratic U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff in 2026. In it, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp is supporting former University of Tennessee football coach, and political outsider, Derek Dooley. The ad blames Dooley's opponents who already have power in Washington for the longest government shutdown in U.S. history: Republican U.S. Representatives Buddy Carter and Mike Collins. Democratic strategist Tharon Johnson and Republican strategist Brian Robinson delve deeper with Lisa Rayam, into why state and national Republicans are criticizing Kemp.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Join Jim and Greg for the Wednesday 3 Martini Lunch as they applaud ICE for rescuing 30,000 migrant children that the Biden administration lost track of, Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett absurdly accusing several Republicans of ties to Jeffrey Epstein, and lefties in Maryland pushing a $25 minimum wage that would make the cost of living even worseFirst, they welcome Border Czar Tom Homan's revelation that the Trump administration has located 30,000 of the 300,000 migrant kids the Biden administration lost and never tried to find. Jim also highlights a Pulitzer Prize-winning 2023 investigation showing migrant children being forced into labor for major U.S. companies. Why is there so little political or media outrage?Next, they laugh and fume as Rep. Crockett accuses GOP lawmakers of taking donations from Jeffrey Epstein, only for it to be exposed that none of the contributions came from that Jeffrey Epstein. If Crockett runs for U.S. Senate in Texas and wins the nomination, it will be one of the greatest gifts the GOP ever received. Finally, activists in Maryland want a statewide referendum in 2026 to impose a $25 minimum wage through a constitutional amendment. Jim and Greg explain why the policy would worsen the cost of living and argue that if a higher minimum wage were truly the path to affordability, why not raise it much higher? Please visit our great sponsors:Cancel unwanted subscriptions and reach your financial goals faster with Rocket Money at https://RocketMoney.com/MARTINI Give your liver the support it deserves with Dose Daily. BT & Sal dissect the Jets' latest ugly win, secured by special teams and a disastrous performance by the opposing offense, with Justin Fields throwing for only 54 yards. Sal slams the offense as "unwatchable" but praises the defensive effort and the culture being built under Aaron Glenn, particularly the trade of Sauce Gardner. The biggest gripe, however, is the shocking mid-season hike of parking at MetLife Stadium to $100, which Sal calls an "absolute joke" and a "unique exchange" with an embarrassed attendant. The hosts also get into a fiery clash with a caller who suggests benching Jaxson Dart to prevent injury, which Tierney vehemently labels a "soft, weak loser mentality." Finally, Sal recounts a fun (but socially awkward) Friday night bar event that forced him to confront his preference for a quiet life, leading to a hilarious debate about whether the purpose of a night out is still to "mix and mingle."

Alan Dershowitz's defense of Prince Andrew's settlement with Virginia Giuffre reads less like legal analysis and more like a PR smokescreen dressed up as intellect. Dershowitz, himself a controversial figure tied to the Epstein saga, has claimed that Andrew only settled to avoid embarrassment and spare the monarchy further scandal — not because of guilt. But that explanation collapses under the weight of its own irony. If Andrew truly believed himself innocent, why not fight for exoneration? Why not take the stand and defend his name under oath, instead of wiring millions of pounds to a woman he insists he's never met? The idea that a royal prince with endless legal resources had no choice but to settle is laughable; what he really had was too much to hide.Dershowitz's framing — that Andrew “could have won on legal grounds” — ignores the brutal truth: a deposition would have been a public execution. His credibility had already been obliterated by the Newsnight interview, and a sworn testimony would've exposed even more inconsistencies, documents, and witnesses. The settlement wasn't a tactical misstep; it was a desperate escape hatch. And Dershowitz defending him is rich, considering his own denials of involvement with Epstein's victims. Both men relied on the same playbook — deny, deflect, and claim persecution by the media — while conveniently sidestepping the question of why their names appear in the same grotesque orbit. In the end, Dershowitz's “legal strategy” argument feels less like reasoned commentary and more like damage control for a club of men who mistake settlements for salvation.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

Todd and José share their thoughts on the match, discussing topics such as: Tai Baribo scoring his first goals since August 23rd and what that means for his confidence, whether the three-week break is an advantage or disadvantage, the momentum shift after Andre Blake's penalty save, and what deserves credit for the Union conceding only two goals from open play in their last six games. Most Montana homeowners should see a drop in property taxes after sweeping tax reforms go into effect this year. Renters, however, could see the cost of living rise after lawmakers made a mistake reforming property taxes.
The Spinoff editor-at-large Toby Manhire joins Duncan Greive this week to discuss a very unfortunate case of journalistic mistaken identity. Former Herald reporter Bevan Hurley had an explosive exclusive with former Bill de Blasio, in which the former New York mayor critiqued Zohran Mamdani, the current mayoral candidate he had previously strongly endorsed. Or so Hurley thought – he had in fact been talking to a wine importer by the name of Bill DeBlasio, who holds very different views to his near-namesake. It blew up into an international media storm, which the pair break down, along with a confession from Toby's past at the Guardian. Also, the succession situations at Morning Report and TVNZ's 6pm bulletin – what are the risks and opportunities for those two big dogs of our news media? And finally, a word on Juggernaut II – the sequel to our hit 2024 podcast which launches next week. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

World Series Game Six RecapLos Angeles Dodgers (93-69) @ Toronto Blue Jays (94-68)The Blue Jays come back home to Rogers Centre just one win away from their first championship since Joe Carter walked off Mitch Williams and the Phillies in game six of the 1993 Fall Classic. Vladdy Jr. continues his unbelievable playoff run, closing in on the single postseason record for hits. Toronto will have another boost, as George Springer returns to the lineup, though it is unclear how much he'll be able to do with his oblique injury. The Dodgers bats, on the other hand, have been mostly silent. Mookie Betts has struggled mightily this series, forcing manager Dave Roberts to shake up the lineup a bit. They'll need the future Hall-of-Famer to step up if they intend to extend the series. We should be in for another pitching duel for game six, as Kevin Gausman and Yoshinobu Yamamoto square up once again. The splitter heavy righties nearly matched one another in game two, but it was the Japanese ace who had the edge. With the season on the line, they both will need to bring their best. Could the race be a lot closer than we are expecting? 4:30pm- Remember when President Donald Trump called into the show on election night and joked that he hoped Rich's ratings went to zero because he wants the whole audience in line voting? Matt hasn't forgotten and he loves to play the clip out of context. PLUS, Rich commits a major bathroom blunder!

Reports paint Andrew's days at Royal Lodge as late starts, war films, golf and Call of Duty on a wall-sized TV, with rare rides out and growing loneliness. Friends say Sarah Ferguson faces “nowhere to go, and no one to go with” if the Lodge era ends. A Scottish refuge offer at Carbisdale Castle has been withdrawn after threats; talk of “exile” to the Castle of Mey persists, though commentators say Frogmore or even Abu Dhabi is likelier. Then a tech hiccup: Andrew's defunct website briefly reappeared — in Vietnamese — before redirect issues were fixed. Opinion writers argue his position is untenable and that the Firm's survival relies on decisive action.Check out "Palace Intrigue Presents: King WIlliam" here.

"If you're on a gravy train with biscuit wheels… why risk derailing it over a bag of weed?"In this can't-miss episode of The Ben and Skin Show, Ben Rogers, Jeff “Skin” Wade, Kevin “KT” Turner, and Krystina Ray dive into the bizarre and frustrating arrest of Mavericks guard Brandon Williams at DFW Airport for marijuana possession. The crew unpacks the timeline, the confusion around his travel plans, and the implications of his claim that his manager packed the bag.
BT & Sal lock horns over the news that Antoan Richardson, the Mets' first base coach, may leave after contract talks stalled due to his desire for an expanded role. Sal passionately defends Richardson, calling him the "best first base coach in baseball" and highlighting his historic 89% stolen base success rate with the Mets, a stat Juan Soto directly credited him for. BT, however, dismisses the hysteria, arguing that a first base coach is irrelevant to a team's success and calling the reaction "blown out of proportion." The debate also touches on whether Richardson's base-stealing genius is simply a temporary "exploitation" of the current defensive ineptitude and the larger issue of Carlos Mendoza being left isolated as the entire Mets' coaching staff shifts around him.

A weekend fiasco has thrown Britain's immigration and prison system into chaos after Hadush Kebatu, an asylum seeker jailed for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl in Epping, was mistakenly released from Chelmsford prison. He was meant to be deported to Ethiopia but was freed in error, sparking a two-day manhunt before his recapture in North London. Justice Secretary David Lammy faced MPs over the blunder, unveiling new mandatory checks for every prison release, but governors warn it's unworkable. Meanwhile, Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood has also been forced to respond as frustration grows over the Government's handling of immigration and the spiralling cost of migrant hotels.Tim is joined by Assistant Comment Editor Poppy Coburn to discuss Labour's latest headache, the collapse of Labour's grooming gangs inquiry, and they're also joined by Reform UK's head of policy, Zia Yusuf, for his take on both the prison fiasco and the controversy surrounding his own party MP Sarah Pochin, after she said adverts “full of black and Asian people” drive her mad.We want to hear from you! 3. Return of Exiles and Rise of Sectarian War American blunders included disbanding the army and Ba'ath party while returning exiles "frozen in time" whom Iraqis distrusted but Americans relied upon. Resistance began with nationalists like Hamid fighting to restore honor, recognizing danger from foreign jihadis flooding borders seeking Islamic state rather than preserving Iraq. Zarqawi facilitated sectarian quagmire but conditions were created by Americans, exiles, and jihadis, with Mahdi Army becoming death squads dumping hundreds of Sunni bodies at Sada dam.
Brendan Allen picked up the biggest win of his career in the main event of UFC Vancouver. But as impressive as Allen's performance was against Reinier de Ridder, the biggest story of the night was referee Dan Miragliotta in not one, but two fights — most notably, the co-main event between Mike Malott and Kevin Holland.
