We have had a several questions regarding fear in the aftermath of the Dadeville shootings on April 15, 2023. How do I know there the bad guys are? How do I know they are not where I am? What do I do if it happens to me? As a mom, you probably never thought you would be answering these questions. As a girl, you probably never though you would be asking these questions. We wanted to share with you, in one place, a few times the Bible tells us we do not have to fear and why. We can find rest in His Word, and even thank Him as we go out and about for His Word that says that He has given His Angels charge over us to protect us wherever we go. But the point is to not fear. And to trust in our God, and His Goodness, no matter what. We cannot think that we can live by a formula, and nothing will ever happen. But we are called to walk with Him, trust in Him, And rest and Him in all things. Read more on our website blog www.girltalkministries.info
PART 1 | We get lots of questions all the time regarding purity, pornography, boundaries, and the classic, "what is too far?" We cover it all and more on this two part episode with ministry leader and author of three books, including "Sex, Jesus and Conversations the Church Forgot," Mo Isom Aiken. GIRLS! Virginity might keep you from going too far but impurity keeps you from your true identity, true satisfaction, true fulfillment in the One Who made you, loves you and wants to give you all you need. Have you gone too far? You are not alone! You have a God Who wants to restore you and give you the satisfaction you are desiring in Him! Are you addicted to pornography? You are not alone! You have a God Who wants to show you the way out and restore your mind! Do you have questions about relationships, purity, how to say no, when to say no, what to do... you have come to the right place where we will point you to the Bible and what God says about you! MOMS! Pornography is not just a guy thing! Not talking to your children about sex isn't going to keep them from doing it, asking about it, finding out. Talk about it now, let them be the safe place they come to with their questions and their mess ups. If it's not you, it will be google, their friends or the latest tv show. You are not going to want this episode packed full with tips and conversations to have with your children, teenagers, young adults. The conversation can never start too young. The average age of pornography exposure is 9 years old, which means there are younger. Mo talks about a time she had to direct a conversation with her two year old. This conversation never stops because we live in a culture where every thing is sexualized. Join us for this conversation and get to know the basics, the conversations and the questions to ask to begin building this safe place. Girls, if you do not have a safe place, you can come here. We are taking this semester to answer your most asked questions, what you are talking about with your friends and what you are struggling with most! Every year, we start our Spring podcasts on Valentine's Day! This week, to celebrate Valentine's Day, we are talking about the most asked question, the hottest topic -- male validation vs. validation from the Lord. Both us grew up without our dads around, so we have a lot to talk about this week from experience and talking to moms and girls! Join in as we talk about how God is trustworthy and every thing we need and how finding validation, worth and security in anything but Him will let us down every time. Our healthiest relationships will be found after finding our worth in our Creator, our Daddy. This week we are talking about your relationship with the enemy! WITH WHO? Yes, we are talking about the enemy. Why? Every good team, every good company, every good soldier... goes into battles, onto the field, into the meeting... knowing the strategy, knowing the opponent's strategy, knowing the enemy's weaknesses in order to defeat them. We must know who the enemy is, what he is trying to do and who we are in Christ and the truth that defeats him. Join us this week as we take a look at Jesus' Words and the truth that has already defeated and will continue to defeat the father of all lies. CHECK BACK FOR SHOW NOTES

This week we're talking about relationships in the Bible!! We were made for relationships but when we love and trust God and we know we are loved by Him, that is what makes relationships work. Because we are secure in God's Love, we are able to go deeper with other people in relationships. We have to know who we are and Whose we are before we can go elsewhere. They want you to ask the hard questions! They want to know you care. They care!! Your prayers and what you are building from inside your closet, in your car, all those prayers… you are building Holy Spirit Power and Protection around your children so much bigger than your fears, so much bigger than the physical they face. Ohhh we wish we could see it! But it is there!!! Don't give up! Keep fighting! Keep showing up for your kids!!!! They want you there!
As women and girls, relationships are a big deal. No matter what enneagram we are, our world and our lives are full of relationships. As followers of Christ, our relationship with Him reflects in our relationships with others. As an extrovert, you might even have relationships as simple as the same guy who makes your coffee at your local coffee shop. As an introvert, your relationships might remain more in the closest people that all of us have. No matter your personality or your enneagram, your every day is made up of relationships and every relationship is important to Jesus and can be used for His Glory. From the deepest relationship to the smallest, each one matters. So through our study, we will look at the different relationships we have, relationships throughout the Bible and ways to glorify God and honor each other in each one of them.
Join us this week as we walk through praying through the Psalms! With Psalms of worship, instruction, lament, rejoicing after protection and contentment, the book of Psalms gives us so many great outlines to pray through and use as our weapon to defeating the enemy and worshipping our Heavenly Daddy!
Next in our Prayer study we are looking at how to pray? Some of us might have grown up praying prayers and we don't know what they mean or some of us might not have grown up praying at all! For the rest of our study, we will be looking more in depth at Praying Scripture, praying through the Psalms and several other prays including the Lord's Prayer, The Tabernacle Prayer, the prayer of Jabez, Spiritual Warfare prayers and more! God gives us two powerful weapons- His Word and His Communication. When we pray His Word, we have His Holy Spirit Power. Join us this week as we talk about praying out loud, the power of our Words and a few Scriptures we love to pray as an overview of How to Pray! We love you!
What would you think if someone asked you about the power of prayer? Prayer has the power to exchange our realities for His Promises and Plans. Join us as we look at the way the purpose of prayer manifests into the Power of God in our lives and through our lives as we know Jesus and make Him known.
Prayer is the essence of our relationship with Christ. No relationship survives without communication. Prayer grows our own relationship and advances the Kingdom. Join us as we talk about the purpose of prayer and what it means to our lives as followers of Christ.
Have you ever thought about the answer to “what is prayer?” Many of us don't think about it much because we grow up praying “God is great, God is good” or reciting the Lord's Prayer in unison without maybe even thinking about the meaning or the fact that we are talking to the God of the Universe. Something that many people before us could not do without many rituals or going to someone else. This week, we are unpacking what prayer is and what it means to our lives as sons and daughters of the God Most High. We are children. When are perspective changes on prayer from reciting words to talking to our Daddy, we see the power He gives us in approaching His Throne of Grace with confidence.

This week we are asking YOU the question!!! How does your worship change your life and the lives around you?
Have you ever thought about The Power of Worship? Mark 5 tells us the story of Jesus casting out a demon. The demon possessed man could not be controlled by anyone, until Jesus. As soon as Jesus showed up, the demon bowed and the man was free. Even the demons bow down. Imagine the power, if the demon bows down and is casted out, what is the power of worship capable of doing in our lives? Join us this week as we look at where our focus goes determines the power of worship in our lives.
Who are you worshipping? Our lives tell a lot about what we put first. In Matthew 6, Jesus tells us "where your treasure, there your heart will be also." This week we are looking into the many ways our lives show who we worship. Do we worship ourselves by thinking only of us and what we want? Do we worship others by letting their opinion of us control what we do? Do we worship the world and culture, giving it the final say in all things we think and do? Join us this week and share with your friends, as we dig into all the questions of who am I worshipping?
What is worship? Worship is much more than singing songs in church. Throughout Scripture we see the example of worship as sacrifice and serving as we give God the glory for all He is worth. Join us this week as we unpack the true meaning of worship and how we can worship the Lord with all our heart, soul and mind!
In Week 2 of Worship, we are talking about being made to worship! Worship has everything to do with Who God is and noting to do with us. When we live in His Presence, we have fullness of JOY! Join us this week as we unpack our identity in MADE TO WORSHIP! All written resources for our study can be found in The Girl Talk App for $10 per girl!

Join us in March for Girl Talk as we talk about life, abundance and what feasting in His House looks like as daughters of the King! Today's Girl Talk Live is packed full with truth from Psalm 36, John 5 and Matthew 5, and Romans 12. Moms and girls can take away the fundamental truth of living life with Jesus.
Happy Valentine's Day! Join us today as we wrap up our first of many talks with Girl Talk's favorite guy as we talk about love, life, respect and romance! "Romance is valuing the other person. Not manipulating the situation to get what you want."
All of us have a place in our lives that relates to the disabled man. Jesus came to heal our hearts. “Do you want to get well?” Instead of wanting to get well, this man made excuses for why he was still laying there. Jesus wants to heal us, but do we allow Him to? When we make the decision to allow Jesus into our lives He calls us out, He rights our wrongs and He heals us for His Glory. “Get up, pick up your mat and walk.” He gives us everything we need to follow Him. When we say yes and invite Him in, He redeems us and heals our hearts. Because we know His Love, we know as He calls out our sin, He is calling us up to be better because of how much He loves. “See, you are well. Do not sin anymore, so that something worse doesn't happen to you.”
MOMS! Next month we are tackling the lies our girls believe and giving them the tools to beat the lies with truth. Join us in this episode as we give you an overview on walking with your daughters through the lies of the enemy and guarding her heart with The Truth of God's Word. We love you and we are praying for you!
After our Girl Talk Live podcast on Romans 12, I asked Lindsey how Romans 12 and her breakdown relates to moms. We talk about you as a mom but we also want to release the pressure for you to know you are more than "just a mom." Your struggles matter just as much for yourself as your children's struggles do. Sit back and hear how much God loves you for YOU. We love you so much and we are praying for you!
Join us for Girl Talk Live as we talk about Romans 12. A few weeks ago Lindsey unpacked Romans 12 for us in the coolest way and we could not wait to get to today so she could unpack it on the podcast! Moms and girls, whoever you are, you definitely do not want to miss our conversation today. It is a good one. Romans 12 is packed with practicality in Christ and every time we read it, Holy Spirit shows us something new. Let's jump in!
Join us as we walk through Romans 10 and the importance of knowing the Word and walking it. This is one of the most important truths we can learn as girls. As we walk as girls, memorizing, studying and sharing The Word can help us live the righteousness we were called to live.
This is one of the most important messages we could share. Pay attention to what your daughters are running to and be a safe place they can land. In this episode, we talk through coping, all the things being thrown at your girls and how your response can bring life into the situation. Maybe you are not always the first one she comes to, pray an army of warriors around you who are willing and able to love your girl with you, speaking only life into your relationship and coming alongside you to cheer you on and bring you together. This is absolutely one of our favorite discussions and a huge heartbeat of Girl Talk. Join us today as we talk about the failing coping mechanisms of today's society and how we are missing the fullness of God when we engaged in the world's disconnecting and isolation. We love you!
Join us for a highlight of all the feels in Romans 8! We love it so much. Read the chapter before or after you watch with us and tell us what God spoke to you through this incredible chapter. We love you!
Our culture feeds us the borderline truth/lie that "you will make mistakes." While it is true, all have fallen short of the glory of God. But we cannot stop there. If Jesus only died to save us from our sins, once we receive salvation, that would be it. As followers of Christ, we know there is more to life on this earth as salvation. We are here to make a difference for Christ. 1 Peter 1, Paul calls us to Holy Living. "Therefore, with your minds ready for action, be sober-minded and set your hope completely on the race to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. As obedient children, do not be conformed to the desires of your former ignorance. But as the one who called you is holy, you also are to be holy in all your conduct; for it is written, Be holy, because I am holy." Join us as we talk about the call to rise above "You will make mistakes" to live the standards of Christ that Holy Spirit gives us everything we need to live the life He has called us to live. We believe in you, moms! And we are here for you always. We are praying for you!
"The righteous will live by faith." Romans 1 Join us for Girl Talk Live today as we talk about Romans 1. We make a choice every day as to what we worship and what we consume. When we choose Jesus, we are given life, love, patience, kindness, the fruit of the Spirit. When we choose the world, we see the consequences unrighteousness has on our lives. Sit with us in the pretty room today as we look through Paul's words as he unpacked righteous and unrighteous living. We love you so much and we are praying for you!
This is one of our favorites! Moms, today we are talking all about the eternal. You have the incredible privilege to grow your daughter in Kingdom Impact. We have Holy Spirit power in us to demolish strongholds in our lives. The enemy wants us to be defeated, discouraged, depression, distracted but Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians we do not wage war as the world does. We fight with weapons not of the world. Join us today as we talk about Holy Spirit Power demolishing the strongholds in our daily lives. "For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." 2 Corinthians 10:4-5

Amen." 1 Peter 4:10-11
