Understanding the Hadith of Jibril: Insights into Islam, Iman, and IhsanPraise be to Allah, and may peace and blessings be upon His Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The Hadith of Jibril (Gabriel) is one of the most profound teachings in Islam. It encapsulates the core aspects of the faith: Islam, Iman (faith), and Ihsan (excellence). This famous narration, recorded in Sahih Muslim, provides a comprehensive understanding of Islamic beliefs and practices. The Story of the HadithThe Hadith of Jibril is narrated by Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him). One day, a man in immaculate white clothes approached the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) while the companions were gathered. Without any signs of travel, he asked about Islam, Iman, and Ihsan. The Prophet answered, and the man confirmed each response. After the man left, the Prophet revealed that it was Jibril, who came to teach the companions their religion. (Sahih Muslim, Hadith 8a)1. Islam: The Five PillarsThe Prophet (peace be upon him) explained Islam through its five pillars:Testifying that there is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is His Messenger.Establishing regular prayers.Paying Zakat (charity).Fasting during Ramadan.Performing Hajj (pilgrimage) if capable. These pillars form the foundation of a Muslim's practical obligations. (Sahih Muslim, Hadith 8a)Reference:"Certainly, Allah's only Way is Islam. Those who were given the Scripture did not dispute among themselves out of mutual envy until knowledge came to them. Whoever denies Allah's signs, then surely Allah is swift in reckoning." (Quran 3:19)2. Iman: The Six Articles of FaithThe Prophet defined Iman as believing in:Allah. His Angels. His Books. His Messengers. The Last Day.Divine Decree (Qadr), both good and evil. These beliefs form the spiritual and intellectual foundation of a Muslim. (Sahih Muslim, Hadith 8a)Reference:"The Messenger firmly believes in what has been revealed to him from his Lord, and so do the believers. They all believe in Allah, His angels, His Books, and His messengers. They proclaim, 'We make no distinction between any of His messengers.' And they say, 'We hear and obey. We seek Your forgiveness, our Lord! And to You alone is the final return.'" (Quran 2:285)3. Ihsan: Excellence in WorshipIhsan represents the highest level of faith, where a believer worships Allah as though they see Him, knowing that even if they do not see Him, He certainly sees them. This level emphasizes sincerity and devotion.Reference:"Establish prayer, and pay alms-tax. Whatever good you send forth for yourselves, you will certainly find its reward with Allah. Surely Allah is All-Seeing of what you do." (Quran 2:110)4. Signs of the HourJibril also questioned the Prophet about the signs of the Day of Judgment. The Prophet mentioned signs such as:The slave woman giving birth to her mistress. The barefooted shepherds competing in constructing tall buildings. These predictions signify social and moral transformations that will precede the Day of Judgment.Reference:"Indeed, Allah alone has the knowledge of the Hour. He sends down the rain, and knows what is in the wombs. No soul knows what it will earn for tomorrow, and no soul knows in what land it will die. Surely Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware." (Quran 31:34)Final ThoughtsThe Hadith of Jibril serves as a cornerstone for Islamic learning. It reminds Muslims to adhere to the pillars of Islam, strengthen their faith, and strive for Ihsan in all actions. May Allah guide us in understanding and practicing our religion sincerely.May peace and blessings be upon Prophet Muhammad and all his companions. Ameen.

1 At that hour the disciples came to Jesus, saying: Who thinkest thou is the greater in the kingdom of heaven? In illa hora accesserunt discipuli ad Jesum, dicentes : Quis, putas, major est in regno caelorum?  2 And Jesus calling unto him a little child, set him in the midst of them,Et advocans Jesus parvulum, statuit eum in medio eorum,  3 And said: Amen I say to you, unless you be converted, and become as little children, you shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.et dixit : Amen dico vobis, nisi conversi fueritis, et efficiamini sicut parvuli, non intrabitis in regnum caelorum.  4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, he is the greater in the kingdom of heaven.Quicumque ergo humiliaverit se sicut parvulus iste, hic est major in regno caelorum.  5 And he that shall receive one such little child in my name, receiveth me.Et qui susceperit unum parvulum talem in nomine meo, me suscipit :  6 But he that shall scandalize one of these little ones that believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone should be hanged about his neck, and that he should be drowned in the depth of the sea.qui autem scandalizaverit unum de pusillis istis, qui in me credunt, expedit ei ut suspendatur mola asinaria in collo ejus, et demergatur in profundum maris.  7 Woe to the world because of scandals. For it must needs be that scandals come: but nevertheless woe to that man by whom the scandal cometh.Vae mundo a scandalis! Necesse est enim ut veniant scandala : verumtamen vae homini illi, per quem scandalum venit.  8 And if thy hand, or thy foot scandalize thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee. It is better for thee to go into life maimed or lame, than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into everlasting fire.Si autem manus tua, vel pes tuus scandalizat te, abscide eum, et projice abs te : bonum tibi est ad vitam ingredi debilem, vel claudum, quam duas manus vel duos pedes habentem mitti in ignem aeternum.  9 And if thy eye scandalize thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee. It is better for thee having one eye to enter into life, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.Et si oculus tuus scandalizat te, erue eum, et projice abs te : bonum tibi est cum uno oculo in vitam intrare, quam duos oculos habentem mitti in gehennam ignis.  10 See that you despise not one of these little ones: for I say to you, that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.Videte ne contemnatis unum ex his pusillis : dico enim vobis, quia angeli eorum in caelis semper vident faciem Patris mei, qui in caelis est God's love for us was not satisfied with giving us His Son, Jesus, for our Redeemer, and Mary for our Advocate; He has been pleased to give us also His Angels to be our guardians: "He hath given His Angels charge over thee: to keep thee in all thy ways" (Ps. 90. 20). These holy spirits and princes of heaven are always present with us, and assist us in all our actions. And on this account, out of regard to our guardian angles, we ought carefully to refrain from every action which can displease them.

No Salah is greater than the Fajr Salah offered with Congregation on Friday, I presume that whoever attends it will be forgiven (Tabarani). Mohammed ibn Serreen (rah), 2 Rakahs of Salaah is more beloved to me than Paradise, for Paradise is for my pleasure but the Salaah is for the pleasure of Allah SWT (Imaam Ghazali rah Mukaashafatul Quloob). The greatest favour for a bondsman in the world is for him to be given the ability to offer 2 Rakaah of Salaah (Tabarani). For the dwellers of the grave, 2 Rakaahs of Salaah are dearer to them than the rest of your world (Tabarani). Whoever prays 2 Rakaahs whilst alone and nobody sees him except Allah SWT and His Angels then freedom from the fire is written for him (Ibn Asaakir). As you might know, the full title of the first edition of Ellen White's book, "The Great Controversy" was "The Great Controversy, Between Christ and His Angels, and Satan and His Angels." By this longer title, we can see that the angels have taken either one side or the other. These two sides operate by two completely different sets of principles. Christ's angels are wholly and consistently devoted to His principles;—they don't live by His principles some of the time and by Satan's principles some of the time. And likewise, Satan's angels are entirely on Satan's side—they don't have partial union with Christ; they have no union with Christ. By becoming a human with the same flesh that we all have and overcoming every temptation while in that flesh, Jesus showed that it is possible to not let sin reign in our mortal bodies, as Paul said in Romans 6:12. If we think it's impossible to stop sinning, then we'll likely buy into the idea that we can keep sinning and yet be followers of Jesus. But the fact of the matter is that it is possible to stop sinning. And we need to stop sinning since sin is of the devil and so long as we sin, we are servants of sin and are giving in to Satan's side in this great controversy. But we don't need to obey the our flesh; we *can* obey the truth. To quote Paul again, "...as you presented your members as servants to uncleanness and to wickedness upon wickedness, even so now present your members as servants to righteousness for sanctification." Romans 6:19. By exercising faith - that is, trust - in Christ, we *can* do this and this is how we can play our part on Christ's side of the Great Controversy and help to bring the controversy to an end.   For more study please see: Are You Minding What Matters? https://www.bdsda.com/are-you-minding-what-matters/   2024 Sabbath School, Quarter 2: The Great Controversy – Week 1 A Branch Davidian Seventh-Day Adventist perspective on the Sabbath School lesson.  www.bdsda.com  Email us bdsdalit@gmail.com for comments and study requests. In the reading of the 91st division of the Book of Psalms, the Psalmist expresses the security of those who trust fully in God. It assures us that God will be our refuge and that we may seek His protection in times of spiritual and physical danger. He shall give His Angels charge over thee: God commissions angels to watch carefully over the lives and interests of the faithful. Nothing can happen to a faithful servant except by God's permission (remember God's faithful servant Job). There are times when the question arises; "Why do good things happen to good people?" There is no shadow nor turning that God does not already know about. The more fully we abide in Christ and His Word, we can trust in the "Almighty" as He emphasizes His power to confront and destroy every enemy. 1. “Most High” shows Him to be greater than any threat we face. 2. “Almighty” emphasizes His power to confront and destroy every enemy. 3. “The LORD” assures us that His presence is always with us; And 4. “My God” expresses the truth that God has chosen to associate intimately with those who trust in Him. The Divine Praises (Laudes Divinae) is an 18th-century prayer.  It is traditionally recited during Benediction - but can be used at other times, either in a group or individually. The prayer was written in Italian by Jesuit priest Luigi Felici SJ (1736–1818) in 1797. It is intended for making reparation after saying or hearing sacrilege or blasphemy / mis-use of the name of Jesus. It was expanded by Pope Pius VII in 1801, and at some point was translated into English, Latin (and likely various other languages) - the translator(s) are unknown.   The English version is sometimes just called "The Blessed be God". The prayer is traditionally said by having a leader say each line and for the congregation to repeat it - and in this manner,.no visual aids or printed text is necessary (except for the leader).  However other format can be used: the Divine Praises can by prayed individually, or used as the basis of group meditation supported by images and other aids - or in any other way.   DIVINE PRAISES Blessed be God. Do you believe that Jesus lived a SINLESS LIFE?Or do you, like 56% of so-called born-again Christians today, believe that Jesus did not live a sinless life, but rather committed sins during his life?Is that the kind of Jesus of Nazareth you believe in?A recent poll in which the well-respected George Barna, a Christian researcher, was involved, indicated that some 56% of all so-called born-again Christians believe that Jesus did not live a sinless life! That is so, no matter that Hebrews 4:15 states emphatically that Jesus lived a life without sin. Other scripture passages indicate the same thing. No matter, in this pick-and-choose spiritual Christian day and age, so many Christians are apt to interpret for themselves, ignore, or even deny any part of scripture, 66 books, which they do not like, or with which they do not agree. That, says George Barna, is even true of so-called born-again Christians. Scripture, the Holy Word of God is no longer believed by so many so-called Christians to be inspired, infallible, the perfect Word of God Almighty. So, when asked by these pollsters, the 2000 so-called born-again Christians interviewed had no problem indicating that they thought, in their infinite wisdom, that Jesus did not live a SINLESS LIFE.That, my fellow Christians, is the attitude and spiritual approach of this HE GETS US woke Christian approach. The false teachers abound, progressive, changing, spirituality is the rule of the day and Jesus needs to come to us, accept us, understand us, rather than the traditional biblical way of our coming to Him, understanding Him, and asking of Him, especially for forgiveness. So, they believe that our Savior, who went to the cross, did so as a sinful carpenter from Nazareth, subject to, and perhaps even yielding at times to such sins, the true Son of Man, and not the perfect Son of God, a flawed, sinful, human being perhaps in need of a blood-washing himself. That, to me, is shocking, heresy, blasphemy, and just plain dead wrong in every way.Again, do you believe that Jesus lived a sinless life? Or a life sinful like ours? There is no doubt that Jesus was tempted and tested like we are. But there is an enormous difference between being tempted, exposed to sin, and yielding to sin. There are three illustrations of that temptation. The spirit led our Lord into the wilderness, where he was subjected to fasting for 40 days and nights, and the tempter, the tester, Satan himself, came to Jesus in this weakened physical-human state, knowing HE was hungry and thirsty. So said the devil, turn these stones into bread. Jesus told him to back off, for all humans should live from the bread of life, every word out of the mouth of God.Satan, undeterred, led Jesus to the highest point of the holy temple in Jerusalem, and said JUMP! Cast yourself down and nothing will happen to you, because His Angels, your angels will watch over you and protect you. Jesus rebuffed him again. And yet, a third time Satan tried. Our Lord was led to a high mountain where there was a view of all the Kingdoms of the world, and Satan promised to give all of them to him if Jesus of Nazareth would worship him. Again, he refused and Satan, defeated, departed. There was no way that Jesus would worship and serve the tempter, the evil one.So, that eliminated the potential sins of power-hungry, ego, pride, and greed. Tempted, yes. Tested, yes. Sinful, NO!But the Christ haters never give up. They claim Jesus was guilty of violating the commandment that all should honor their father and mother. They say he rejected his own father and mother, encouraged children to leave their parents, dishonored his mother by refusing her requests, and claimed that his followers were his father and mother. Commandment broken, they say. But, not so, for his intention was for all children to live the life which God Almighty had ordained for each of them. Still sinless was the Son of Man, the Son of God.But, they say, HE was guilty of the sin of anger. He angrily treated the money changers with contempt and even violence as he threw them out of the temple. Wrong again. That was nothing more than the right attempt to protect the integrity, the purity of the Temple of the Living God. So, that spotless, sinless record was still intact. But, these anti-Christians say, Jesus used curse words, first-century curse words, calling religious rulers, the Pharisees, VIPERS, snakes, and poisoners. He swore at them, they say, by calling them white as sepulchers, hypocrites, dead and deadly. But in reality, there was nothing more than describing them as they were. Sinless record still intact. Then comes Gethsemane, where they say that Jesus, in temptation, was a quitter. He asked out of His mission, His purpose in coming. He knew the horrific ordeal which awaited him, a Roman crucifixion on a wooden cross, and with sweats of blood, He asked the Father to let him out, to let this CUP pass from me. Not once, not twice, but three times. But, at the end of the third request, He knew what He had to do, what He came for, and that it was the will of the Father to be done, and not his will. The human side of our Lord was tempted to quit, but for the good of the world and all of us, He knew He had to fulfill his divine mission. To the cross our Lord went, SINLESS, and that SINLESS BLOODSHED was the greatest act of redemption in human history.Do you believe that Jesus lived a sinless life? Do you accept the truth of Hebrews 4:15 which states emphatically that he did live a sinless life? Let it be known that I surely do, and I hope and pray that you do as well. If you don't you had better have some incredibly strong, powerful, convincing evidence to the contrary. I hope you are not like 56% of 2000 so-called born-again Christians interviewed who, in their infinite wisdom, believed that Jesus of Nazareth sinned and consequently lived at least to that extent a sinful life. Scriptures say that is wrong in every way.May the sinless but tempted LIFE OF OUR LORD be a source of joy, inspiration, and hope for all of us as being truly born again, we love and respect the life of our Lord, and seek to be like Him, LIVE LIKE HIM!

We have had a several questions regarding fear in the aftermath of the Dadeville shootings on April 15, 2023. How do I know there the bad guys are? How do I know they are not where I am? What do I do if it happens to me? As a mom, you probably never thought you would be answering these questions. As a girl, you probably never though you would be asking these questions. We wanted to share with you, in one place, a few times the Bible tells us we do not have to fear and why. We can find rest in His Word, and even thank Him as we go out and about for His Word that says that He has given His Angels charge over us to protect us wherever we go. But the point is to not fear. And to trust in our God, and His Goodness, no matter what. We cannot think that we can live by a formula, and nothing will ever happen. But we are called to walk with Him, trust in Him, And rest and Him in all things. Read more on our website blog www.girltalkministries.info

The second article of faith to embrace is the belief in the Angels. The Angels are part of the unseen world; we cannot comprehend and prove it scientifically. You cannot see the Angels unless God allows you to and enables your vision. Muslims believe in Angels because they are mentioned numerous times throughout the Holy Quran and in the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, a body of work that Muslims call Hadith."The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, and so have the believers. All of them have believed in Allah and His Angels and His Books and His Messengers…" (Quran 2:285)God describes Angels' appearance, attributes, characteristics, and responsibilities in His Holy Book. We do not know precisely when the Angels were created, but they predate the creation of human beings. The Angels were created from pure shining light (Noor in Arabic). They are light-giving entities. Angels are generally more powerful than humans and travel at the speed of light. The Angels have certain specialties and capacities that humans do not possess. God refers to the Angels as honored servants."...Rather, they are but honored servants."           (Quran 21:26)In Arabic, Angels are called 'Mala'ika,' which means "to assist and help." Angels are Holy and exist in a constant state of worship and praise to God all day and all night; they do not disobey Him. They worship Allah constantly without growing bored or tired."They exalt Him night and day and do not slacken." (Quran 21:20)The sole purpose of the Angels is to execute the commandments of Allah. An Angel has no needs or desires for material goods. Angels do not eat, drink, sleep, marry, or procreate. The Angels do not die. The same Angels that existed when Prophet Adam, peace be upon him, was created still exist today and will continue to live until the trumpet is blown for the Day of Judgment.   "…And none knows the soldiers of your Lord except Him…" (Quran 74:31) The Angels have no gender; they are not female nor male. Angels are physically very beautiful, except the Angel guardian of the hellfire, who wears a stern expression and never laughs. The Greatest of these Angels are magnificent in size, far beyond our imagination. The largest and most significant is the Angel Gabriel (Jibril in Arabic), the Angel descended from Heavens to instruct the Prophets on how to teach and preach the religion. All Angels have wings; some possess two, three, or four pairs - or more. Angel Gabriel has 600 wings and is of a size so great that it fills the space between Heaven and Earth, blocking the entire horizon. You learn about the Angels to ponder, reflect, and reaffirm the Greatness of your Creator. The experience of having knowledge and belief in the Angels adds to the awe you feel toward God, in that He can create this great being and, indeed, can create whatever He Pleases and Wills. The awe and magnificence of the Almighty's creation reveal and indicate the Magnificence, Glory, and Majesty of the Almighty Himself. This should humble you and increase your God-consciousness, love, and fear of the Almighty. Knowing of the Angels also reminds you that your actions are continuously recorded by the Angels, hopefully decreasing your sins and increasing your good deeds.

Cast Your Net Toward Jesus The Lord says, within the Gospel, the Angels will separate the good from the bad . . . Do you understand? In the Gospel, as it is with today's passage, it is remarkable when the Lord asks a question. Often it is both the question and the answer that are remarkable. Often the is deeper than what appears on first glance. The Kingdom of Heaven is like a net cast out into the sea, says the Lord. The point of casting the net is to catch something. The net catches all. It catches the good. It catches the life sustaining. And catches the good for nothing. After brining in the bounty of the sea, one needs to separate this bounty. It is a process of holding onto what is good and casting aside what is not good. The Lord then gives this story a sense of ultimacy. The world is like the sea, says the Lord. Abundant with life . . . with human life. The Lord tells us that His Angels will cast the net across the world. Hear more within the Homily. The Lord tells us this . . . His disciples, not to threaten us. But He is saying what we do with our time and our choices has a great value. Hear more within the Homily. The Homily further explains the first reading (not included within this media) about the potter and how he shapes the clay into a finished product. There are some clay pieces that are fashioned directly into a good and final product. Others, the potter has to reshape. Hear more within the Homily. Hear more about Casting Your Net Toward Jesus. Is it an unfriendly neighbor … an oppressive government … a financial burden … or a relationship gone south? My friend, God is there … and He hears your prayer. Plus, He sees what you're going through. In this teaching we will discuss YOUR victory … the ANSWER from God. ___________________________ THE LORD IS THERE “ … and the name of the city from that day shall be: THE LORD IS THERE.”Ezekiel 48:35B NKJV My friend, God is omnipresent: he is EVER and ALWAYS present. But … YOU already know that. What you want to know is WHY doesn't God answer my prayer?! Here is your answer: YOU have just not SEEN the answer yet. In my book, Conflict Healing, I describe several incidents where people had opposed me in my ministry and what happened to them as a result: One lady drove her brand new yellow Cadillac through the back wall of her garage and into the swimming pool—could have drowned, but for God's mercy—and was on the front page of three large newspapers: Los Angeles Times Long Beach Press Telegram Orange County (previously Santa Ana) Register. One young man died of a brain hemorrhage in 24 hours. One lady's house was destroyed to the ground in 48 hours. These are just a few, plus several I did NOT include in the book. God is sending me to help you … to build YOUR faith … so that YOU will SEE the answer. Let me ask YOU a question: Are you in the place where the LORD wants you to be? There is a SPIRITUAL place of blessing … and a PHYSICAL place of blessing. Are you AT the geographical place YOU are supposed to be (where are YOU living)? Are YOU serving God IN the assignment of YOUR calling? If the answer to the above two questions is “YES,” then you can sit back and WATCH the LORD work in YOUR behalf. His Holy Angels are on assignment. The LORD is there … AND … so are His Angels. If the answer is “NO,” then seek God and make the proper adjustments! Whether going into battle OR facing daily challenges … confronting evil OR looking to the future ... call upon the Name of the LORD: YAHWEH SHAMMAH ~ THE LORD IS THERE. If YOU are living for God, He is in control of YOUR situation, but He is waiting for His Appointed Time to deal with YOUR adversary. WHY? Several reasons possibly: □ He wants to do the BEST for YOU at the RIGHT moment. He wants you to gain the maximum PROFIT from your investment (assuming YOU were listening to Him when YOU invested). If not, then “cut a deal” with God and make a contract as to how much you will offer to Him WHEN He turns the situation around! OR … □ He wants to drive the enemy out WHEN it will be most advantageous for YOU … and give God the glory! OR ... □ He is preparing YOUR enemy with a decision they have to make: to be helpful to YOU, or to reject God's proposal and be subject to His judgment. In Ezekiel 35 God explains what happens to those who try to possess what is His (including His People AND their inheritance). “Because you [descendants of Esau] have said, ‘These two nations [Israel and Judah] and these two lands shall be mine, and we will take possession of them,' although the Lord was there, therefore, as I live,” says the Lord God, “I will deal with you in accordance with the anger and envy you showed because of your hatred for them; and I will make Myself known among them [as Judge] when I judge and punish you.” [Verses 10-11 AMP / emphasis added.] The Edomites would NOT overpower the LORD's People … because the LORD was there! My friend, YOUR faith is NOT just for Heaven … it is for NOW! “NOW faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” [Hebrews 11:1 NKJV] If YOU can trust God to get you to Heaven … trust Him for the NOW situation. Allāh does not do “acts of worship”, however there is an instance in the Quran in which it seems that Allāh engages in an act which He orders His Angels to perform as well as those who believe – and that is evoking prayers of peace upon Prophet Muḥammad. In reality, when Allāh engages in this act, He is sending down mercy and peace; when He orders the Angels as well as the believers to do this act, He is telling them to make prayers for peace and mercy to be showered upon the Prophet – AND to submit to him unconditionally.

Many have unknowingly empowered and opened doors for demonic beings and have had their sinful nature, character and atmosphere to prevail everynow through evil communications with themselves, others and environments. Whatever one says is important because, its either brings life or guarantees death. Its either brings light or darkness, its either a spirited language of God's kingdom backed by His Power & carried out by His Angels or a satanic inspired language backed by devils and carried out by demons. We must always be very careful of our communications or things which communicate to us since they are instruments and pivotal in our Christian work. Fill your heart and mind with God's word, speak scriptural words, decree and confess as inspired by the Spirit of God and let God's Word be a lamp to your feet and everyday life. 2020 has been the most painful and difficult year ever. Along with a devout racist in the White House and Corona Virus, I've lost 5 cousins, my son and my sister all in a very short period. I don't ask why or question God's infinite wisdom, I just listen and allow Him to help me understand that he needed His Angels back. So as I've been bringing you the very BEST, deep, soulful House Music ANYWHERE, it's been done through a sad and heavy heart. But with His help, I stand strong for them all, I know they are watching over me, and I pray that they are teaching angels how to dance.

A cosmic conversation takes place between Allah and His Angels when Allah informs his Angels that He will send man (Adam and his progeny) to be in the charge of the whole earth as His vicegerant. As a natural consequence of this there will be authority. The question is whether man will rule by the laws of Allah as his vicegerent or rule with his desires; one will lead to our ascension, the other our destruction. We as Muslims should try to see things from the point of view of all those prospective Muslim mayors, councillors and MP's and think about whether we are willing to compromise our Deen. If not, we should not vote for them to compromise on our behalf. If you were given authority, who's law will you implement? Will you wield authority in the way Allah wanted us, or will you become part of the secular democratic system? Surah Baqarah Ayah 30: "Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I will create a vicegerent on earth." This brief talk was based on the Tafseer of Ibn Kathir, Al-Jalalayn, Qurtubi and others. The lecture begins by mentioning how Allah says in the Qur’an that none testify to His oneness except Himself, His Angels and the People of Knowledge. The nobility of those with knowledge is that Allah approved of them personally: they are mentioned in a narration to be the inheritors of the Prophets and in the Qur’an Allah mentions that only they (the scholars) truly fear Him. Shaykh then expresses the importance of one having a regular input of knowledge in their life as sacred knowledge gives life to the beating heart and results to virtuous deeds being carried out. One can gain these benefits by either: joining to a full-time course, an online course, taking short courses or even by attending daily held lectures. Sacred Knowledge is the only asset that will swim with a person if they were to drown. If one is poor than it will be their riches. If one is wealthy than it will only be their adornment. For those who seek the Sacred Knowledge it is mentioned that Allah draws over them a special covering of love which stays with them until they continue to study. If the aspirant desires to leave behind a legacy and wants their signature to rest alongside the noble messenger (may peace and blessings be upon Him) then they must seek out this sacred knowledge and ask their Lord for sincerity and the ability.

Dawah; Calling & Inviting Others to Islam

The term Da’wah in Arabic translates to mean, ‘to call or to invite’. In the Islamic context, the word refers to the process of calling, conveying, inviting people towards the Message of Islam, towards God, towards the Truth, towards the right path prescribed by the Almighty for all of mankind. The call of Da’wah invites, inclines, and encourages people to voluntarily submit to the Will of Allah, by worshipping Him alone and following His commandments. Da‘wah, in essence, was the call of all the Messengers and Prophets of God. They were selected by the Almighty to call people to submit and worship Allah, following the path of Islam. They called people out of darkness into light by summoning them to worship the One True God and shun false deities. Prophet Muhammad is the last and final Prophet and Messenger of God sent to mankind. Without any more Prophets to guide us, it becomes a noble obligation for Muslims to convey the Message of God; guiding mankind to the truth. In Prophet Muhammad's final farewell sermon, he ended this powerful message with the words, ‘Let those who are present convey to those who are not present.’ God states in the Quran: "And let there be [arising] from you a nation inviting to [all that is] good, enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong, and those will be the successful" (Quran 3:104) The person who engages in spreading the word of Islam is called a da’ee. However, not all means of spreading the word of Islam would require specialized training to conduct. Whereas the act of preaching to a group of people would require some training, dawah can be given by any Muslim-- simply by living and following the teachings of Islam as an example. When it comes to dawah by speech, our prophet narrated, ‘Convey (my teachings) to the people even if it were a single sentence’ So, the act of calling people to the path of Allah is not meant only for scholars, rather it’s a general command to everyone to spread the message on a basic level. A Muslim most achieve four requirements to enter paradise, which includes having faith, performing righteous deeds, advising others to the Truth and righteousness, and being consistent and patient while doing so. Muslims are blessed and honored to possess God’s Revelation and are directed to present this Message to mankind with Hikmah (Wisdom) to clarify the meanings and explanations of this Message in effective ways. They tailor the Message toward the listener, in ways he or she can understand based on his/her individual capacity and background. "Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction and argue with them in the best manner possible. Indeed, your Lord is Most Knowing of who has strayed from His way, and He is Most Knowing of who is [rightly] guided" (Quran 16:125) The act of giving Dawah or spreading the word of Islam can come in different forms and is not delivered solely via speech, preaching, or passing literature. In fact, the most effective and significant way to demonstrate and teach Islam is by having a good character, strong personality, and kind manners, and by being kind, gentle, honest, truthful, and a good role model and living example. The caller of Islam must possess these characteristics, to effectively convey the Message. In fact, before a person or a community invites others to join Islam, certain good qualities must be established in them to prove their creditability and strength--like truthfulness, good morals, manners, character, reliability, etc.--so that their Message can hold strong and be taken seriously by others. Without these qualities, the Message one delivers would not carry weight; nor will it be taken seriously by others. One’s message would not be taken seriously if their character or actions is disreputable and not coinciding with their sermons. Listeners would not believe their words, especially if they steal, lie, or cheat. Our Prophet was known as ‘the truthful, the trustworthy’ among his community decades before he started preaching Islam. Dawah also involves helping and reminding other Muslims who may be lacking in prescribing to certain areas of their religion, by commanding good and forbidding evil. It should be noted that not everyone is intended to be a scholar or preacher and that dawah comes in many different forms. People can engage in dawah in many ways to benefit people and society. It is the duty of every Muslim to better his or her family, community and society to the best of their ability. A Muslim should be involved in and committed to the forefront of battles and struggles against racism, injustice, poverty, aggression, etc. A Muslim is one that gives back to his community and society and is not one that is selfish and only self-serving. A Muslim is one that serves something of value to others, making a positive change and impact on others; whether it comes in the form of volunteering, social work, helping local orphanages, helping the poor, counseling, political activism, building schools, or advising one’s peers or community youth. For example, a Muslim doctor should devote one day a week or month to give back to his community, by offering free services to those who do not have health care or volunteering at a free clinic. One needs to ponder and reflect over his or her own talents, unique skills, strengths, education, background, and personality, discovering those specific qualities that God has gifted them that can be used to benefit others. That gift can come in the form of teaching others, creativity, leadership, knowledge, etc. Our ummah (Islamic community) needs help and services from all angles. God’s last and final prophet stated: ‘The most beloved to Allah are the most beneficial to the people.’ Whereas a Muslim does not perform these deeds with the intention to show off to others, their display in public can become a good means of dawah to non-Muslims--or even, for that matter, to weak or non-practicing Muslims. One can become inspired by and curious about Islam when seeing a female Muslim doctor or nurse--with hijab on--representing Islam by volunteering and offering complimentary services at a free clinic. The one that engages in the work of da’wa needs to be patient and not surrender or lose hope. One does not know which of one’s words will be planted in the listener’s heart, growing and changing their life. The one that engages in the work of da’wa also needs to realize that he or she does not have the ability to transform anyone’s heart or mind. Rather, guidance can come only from God the Almighty. Allah knows who is worthy of and qualified for His guidance. God tells his Messenger in the Holy Quran: "Indeed, [O Muhammad], you do not guide whom you like, but Allah guides whom He wills. And He is most knowing of the [rightly] guided" (Quran 28:56) The job and duty of God’s Messengers and Prophets, as well as ours, is to remind others of the Message in clear terms and as kindly as possible. The rest is up to God. “Your duty is only to convey the message; and on Us is the reckoning” (Quran 13:40) The one that engages in conveying God’s message needs an understanding of the Islamic discourse, as detailed in the Quran and Sunnah, and should be knowledgeable about the issues he addresses. If one is discussing or debating people of other religions, he or she must have an understanding of these faiths; thus, allowing them to build common ground and talk to them about Tawheed (Monotheism—the Oneness of God), which they might be neglecting in their religion. The Quran instructs Muslims to give dawah to people of the Book (Christians and Jews) by emphasizing the similarities between the different faiths and establishing common ground—while reminding them that we should worship None but Allah (the One and Only Creator) and to not associate Any partners with Him. "Say, "O People of the Scripture, come to common terms between us and you - that we will not worship except Allah and not associate anything with Him and not take one another as lords instead of Allah." But if they turn away, then say, "Bear witness that we are Muslims [submitting to Him]" (Quran 3:64) When engaging in a dialog with people of the Book, our main goal is to present and invite them to join our beautiful religion; and not to necessarily talk down or prove their faith or book wrong as there is a time and place for that. Our goal is to prove that what we offer is the true word of God and that our religion is the only faith acceptable to God. The one engaging in dawah dialogue has a goal--not to win the argument--but to win over the person. Sometimes heated arguments serve only to distance a person from Islam. When giving dawah, one should not make the other feel worthless or denounce him. The attitude of the person inviting should be gentle, kind, and beautiful; the same one would offer if they were inviting them to their own home. It becomes imperative that one conveys the Message with softness and gentleness because an attitude of harshness could discourage and further people from the truth. In fact, God tells Prophet Muhammad in the Quran that if he was harsh and stern in conveying the Message to his companions, known to be the best of people that ever lived, they would disperse from him. "It was by the mercy from Allah, [O Muhammad], you were lenient with them. And if you had been stern and harsh (in speech and heart), they would have dispersed from you. So, pardon them and ask forgiveness for them and consult them in the matter. And when you have decided, then rely upon Allah. Indeed, Allah loves those who rely (upon Him)”  (Quran 3:159) God also instructed Prophet Moses and his Brother, Prophet Aaron (Harun in Arabic), to gently and softly convey the Message of Islam to the Pharaoh—despite his repute as the worst human being that ever lived, who proclaimed himself a god and killed babies and innocent people. "Go, both of you, to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. And speak to him with gentle speech that perhaps he may be reminded or fear [Allah]" (Quran 20:43-44) The success of Dawah is measured by one’s intention and effort, and not necessarily from the number of people they convert. One might give dawah for years and not convert a single soul. In fact, Prophet Noah preached the Message of Islam for about 950 years and witnessed very few conversions. It’s important that one continues to constantly remember the intention of his work, which is all and always for the sake of God. For those that feel they don’t have the time to spread the word of Islam, they must realize that those currently spreading the word are themselves busy people who make time in their hectic schedules for Dawah; an activity they see as an obligation. This is what God expects from them; something they do in exchange for the great rewards that await them. Additionally, God states that the best manner of speech one can utter in this world is those words of invitation that draw people to God’s religion; inviting others to grasp and comprehend the purpose of their creation. God states: "And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah and does righteousness and says, "Indeed, I am of the Muslims" (Quran 20:23-24) Additionally, for the ones that spread the word of Islam and teach others well, our Prophet narrated: 'Indeed Allah, His Angels, the inhabitants of the heavens and the earths - even the ant in his hole, even the fish - pray for blessings upon the ones who teaches the people to do good.' In addition, our Prophet narrated: ‘Whoever directs someone to do good will gain the same reward as the one who does the good.’ So, if someone accepts Islam from you, you will receive great rewards from God for the effort. On the Day of Judgement, non-Muslims will face Allah, the Ultimate Judge, and will be questioned regarding their faith. Your non-Muslim friends, colleagues, classmates, and neighbors can potentially incriminate you as the person who failed to give them the Message. This is why you must convey the Message of Islam, carrying it out in your daily life in speech and actions. God states in the Quran that He has made us a middle nation, so we can testify to all people. God has honored and chosen us to service humanity, guiding people back to God. Oh, my dear brother and sister, you need to carry the message of Islam in your daily life. It should show in your character, your dealings with others, your business transactions, and in your everyday tasks; otherwise, our Prophet may serve as a witness against you on the Day of Judgment, and you could potentially get punished for your neglect of this vital and important life task.

Shalawat Al-Betawiyyin Peace & Love To The Last Prophet of God Arabic Languange Version. Salawat is a special Arabic phrase, which contains the salutation upon the prophet of Islam. This kind of phrase is usually expressed by Muslims in their five daily prayers (during the Tashahhud) and also when the name of Prophet Muhammad SAW had been mentioned. Salawat is a plural form of salat (Arabic:صلاة) and from the root of the letters "sad, lam, waw" (Arabic ص.ل. و) which means "prayer, salutation, greeting and mercy". God instructs Muslims to send blessing (salawat) on Muhammad as it was revealed in the Quran as thus: "Allah and His Angels send blessings on the Prophet, O you who believe! send your blessings on him, and salute him a thorough salutation" --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/jannah-firdaus-mediapro/message

The second article of faith that a Muslim must embrace is the belief in the Angels. The Angels are part of the unseen world which we cannot comprehend and cannot prove scientifically. One is not able to see the Angels unless God allows for and enables the vision. Muslims believe in Angels because they are mentioned numerous times throughout the Holy Quran, as well as in the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad; a body of work which Muslims call Hadith. "The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, and [so have] the believers. All of them have believed in Allah and His Angels and His Books and His Messengers…" (Quran 2:285) God describes the appearance, attributes, characteristics, and responsibilities of Angels in His Holy Book, The Quran. We do not have knowledge of precisely when Angels were created, but they pre-date the creation of human beings. The Angels are created from pure shining light (Noor in Arabic). They are light-giving entities. The Angels are generally more powerful than humans and travel the speed of light. The Angels have certain specialties and talents that humans do not possess. God refers to the Angels as honored servants. "...Rather, they are [but] honored servants" (Quran 21:26)

How would one know the role and life purpose of existence unless one receives clear and practical instructions of what God wants and expects of him or her? Here comes the need for Prophethood. Thus, God has sent thousands of Prophets and Messengers to humankind. Every nation on Earth received a Prophet. God states in the Quran:   "And We certainly sent into every nation a messenger, [saying], "Worship Allah and shun False Gods, and among them were those whom Allah guided, and among them were those upon whom error was [deservedly] decreed. So, proceed through the Earth and observe how was the end of the deniers" (16:36)   They all preached the same general message that there is only one deity worthy of worship. He is the One and Only God, without a partner, son, daughter, or equal. All other gods are false and are only creations of God and not the actual Creator. All the Prophets and Messengers came with the same purpose, to lead humanity to God. Muslims believe that God communicates His guidance through human Prophets. Belief in the prophets who God relayed His Message to humanity is a required article of the Islamic faith. God states:   "The Prophet (Muhammad) believes in what has been sent down to him from his Lord, and (so do) the believers.  Each one believes in God, His Angels, His Books, and His prophets.  (They say,) 'We make no distinction between one another of His prophets..." (Quran 2:285)   The Prophets seek nothing for their personal interest in this world. Instead, they seek things for the public interest by warning their people against what may harm them. God sent Prophets to humanity for several reasons, for instance, to guide humanity from worshipping created beings and to worship their Creator, the Creator of all things. The Prophets came to guide humankind to build a relationship with their Creator, to know Him and to love Him. The Prophets taught humanity that life is only a test where the successful will enter Heaven eternally, and the unsuccessful will enter the hellfire. Prophets and Messengers were sent to teach humanity about righteousness, morals, ethics, and how to purify their souls from evil.   They were also sent to teach about the unseen world which exists beyond our ordinary senses and physical universe, such as the existence of the Angels. God sent Prophets and Messengers to stand as witnesses on the Day of Judgement to the ones that will claim they never heard the message.   Muslims believe, respect, honor, and love all Prophets and Messengers of God, starting with Prophet Adam, including Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Jacob, Moses, and Prophet Jesus peace be upon them all, all who invited people to worship God and shun false gods. Muslims believe in many of the Prophets found in Jewish and Christian traditions.   Muslims also believe in God's final Testament to man, which was revealed to the last and final Prophet; Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, who was sent to the last and final nation, our nation. God states in the Quran:   "Muhammad is not the father of any one of your men, but he is the Messenger of God and the last of the prophets" (Quran 33:40)   Out of the Infinite Mercy and Love of God, God continued to send Prophets and Revelations to guide humanity. Each Prophet and Book was sent down to different nations and people. There were over one hundred thousand Prophets and Messengers sent to all of humanity, to all nations and races, in all corners of the world. Some Prophets were superior to others. The best among them were Prophets Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Prophet Muhammad peace be upon them. God states:   Islam states, all the previous Prophets and Books other than the Holy Quran and Prophet Muhammad were sent down only for a particular nation and a specific group of people and were only meant to be followed for a particular period. For example, Muslims believe Prophet Jesus peace be upon him was one of God's mightiest messengers of God who was sent down with the same general Message of all the previous Prophets but was only sent to the Children of Israel as their final Prophet because they were veering away from the laws and disobeying the commandments of God. Prophet Jesus’ mission was to confirm the Torah that was previously sent, to make certain lawful things that were previously unlawful to ease their lives and to proclaim and re-affirm the belief in One God. Prophet Jesus peace be upon him was not meant for the non-Israelites.   God states in his final Revelation in the Holy Quran that He would teach Prophet Jesus peace be upon him the Torah, the Gospel, and the Wisdom.   "And He will teach him writing and Wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel" (Quran 3:48)   To spread his message to the Israelites, Prophet Jesus peace be upon him was taught the Torah, and he was provided with his own Revelation from God, the Gospel (Injeel). God also bestowed Prophet Jesus peace be upon him with the ability to guide and influence his people with signs and miracles to prove he was sent down by God. The miracles were proof he wasn't an imposter. All the wonders and miracles that were granted by Prophet Jesus or any Prophet of God is only done with the permission and power of God and are usually in the field in which his people excel and are recognized as superior at the time and place of the Prophet.   People of later generations disoriented all the earlier Revelations of God. As a result, pure Revelation from God was polluted with myths, words of men, superstitions, irrational philosophical ideologies, and idol worship. The religion of God was lost in a plethora of religions.   Later, when humanity was in the depth of dark ages, God the Almighty sent his last and final Messenger Prophet Muhamad and his final Revelation, the Holy Koran, to redeem humanity. The Koran and the final Messenger peace be upon him affirmed everything that was revealed to all the previous messengers in the past.   Since past Revelations were meant for past nations, The Holy Qur’an and the way of Prophet Muhammad abrogates all the previous laws. By the Wisdom of God, He did not allow the teachings of the earlier prophets to remain preserved in an entirely undistorted manner. There will be no Prophet, or Book after The Holy Koran and Prophet Mohamad peace be upon him. Prophet Mohamad was not only sent down to the Arabs or Muslims, rather was sent down for all of humanity till the end of time. The Quran states:   "And We have not sent you (O Muhammad) except as a bringer of glad tidings and a warner unto all humanity, but most people know not" (Quran 34:28)   God chose the best among humanity to deliver His Message. Prophethood is not earned or acquired thru certain practices or higher education. God chooses whom He pleases and thinks would be the best fit for this purpose. The Prophets and Messengers were best in morals and manners and were mentally and physically fit for the task and were protected by God from falling into major sins. The Prophets were the best in their community morally and intellectually so they can serve as good role models for their followers. Their personality was one that attracted people to accept their Message rather than drive people away. They did not err nor commit mistakes in delivering the Message. All of God's messengers preached the same general Message. They preached there is Only One God; one should love Him with All his heart, Worship Him to his or her best ability & praise Him and Follow His Laws.   The Prophet's Messages came with glad tidings and a warning. The glad tidings were for those who believe informing them that their past sins will be forgiven, and a generous reward of Paradise will be awarded to them. The warning is for those who disbelieve informing them that if they continue their evil ways, their final destination will be the hellfire. The Quran states:   "Verily! We have sent you with the truth, a bearer of glad tidings, and a warner. And there never was a nation, but a warner had passed among them" (Quran 35:24)   and the Quran also states:   "Verily, those who fear their Lord unseen, theirs will be forgiveness and a great reward" (Quran 67:12)   Prophet Muhammed was sent with a Message in the language of the people he was sent upon. So, they can easily understand the Message, apply it in their lives, and then convey it to others. If he had not carried the Message in their language, they would not have understood him. Since Prophet Muhammad was sent to the Arabs speaking plain Arabic, they had no excuse but to hear his message. God states in the Quran:   "And We never punish until We have sent a Messenger (to give warning)" (Quran 17:15)   Prophet Muhamad's Message was certainly not limited to the people of his time. Instead, Prophet Muhammad was sent to all of humanity. This is stated repeatedly in the Qur'an. Whereas Prophet Muhammad was an Arab, only 4 of the 25 mentioned Prophets in the Holy Qur’an were Arabs. The Arab Prophets were Prophet Hud (Eber in English), Prophet Saleh, Prophet Shuaib (known in the Biblical literature as Jethro) and Prophet Muhammad peace be upon them. Prophet Muhammad is only mentioned four times in the Koran by name. The most mentioned Prophet in the Quran is Moses. Prophet Moses peace be upon him is mentioned in over 70 passages.   Prophet Moses was the most mentioned Prophet in the Quran because he was the most similar to Prophet Muhammad and his nation was the most similar to our nation so we could learn and benefit from their mistakes. In reading and learning what happened to the Israelites and their errors, our nation can avoid making the same mistakes they made. One-way God delivers his guidance to humanity is through giving examples of past nations, their stories, and their mistakes, so people now can benefit, not make the same mistakes, and live their lives accordingly. The Almighty states:   "There was certainly in their stories a lesson for those of understanding. Never was the Qur'an a narration invented, but a confirmation of what was before it and a detailed explanation of all things and guidance and mercy for a people who believe" (Quran 12:111)   In each story mentioned in the Quran, there are many lessons. People went to extremes with the Prophets that were sent from God. Some Prophets were rejected and accused of being sorcerers, madmen, Forgers, Plagiarizers, Magicians, Poets, soothsayers, imposters, and liars, even though they came with miracles and Books beyond the power of humans, to prove they were sent from God. For instance, Prophet Jesus peace be upon him, son of Mary, was rejected by the Jews and they refused to consider him to be the Messenger they had been waiting for. The Jews rejected Prophet Jesus and Prophet Muhamad, even though their Book spoke about an upcoming Prophet that will come 'I will establish a Prophet for them from among their brothers, like you, and I will place My words in his mouth; and he shall speak to them all that I shall command him' (Devarim 18:18). This Prophet was no other than the Prophet Muhamad peace be upon him.   The Christians also rejected Prophet Muhamad. However, Muslims believe in all Prophets sent from God starting with Prophet Adam to the last and final Prophet, Prophet Muhamad. Muslims accept all Prophets and Messengers of God who brought guidance to humanity. However, the Revelations which the Prophets before Prophet Muhammad brought from God have been tampered with by men over the years. Since the Bible was sent down for a particular group of people and a particular period, God did not feel it fit to preserve the Bible. It is now mixed with words of men and contains hundreds of scientific errors which prove it's no longer in the same form as it once was when Prophet Jesus peace be upon him was present.   Since the Holy Quran is meant for all of humanity as a whole and is intended to eternity. God made sure he preserved it from being tampered with. The Quran is the only Book of God that remains untampered, untouched, whole, standing the same form as it came down over 1400 years ago. God states in the Quran:   "Indeed, it is We who sent down the Qur'an, and indeed, We will be its guardian (guard it against corruption)" (Quran 15:9)   While some took the Prophets as a joke and rejected them, some, on the contrary, turned Prophets into gods by giving them divine powers or declared them to be children of God like with Prophet Jesus with the Christians. Prophets are to be loved and respected, but no form of worship is to be directed towards them nor are they to be treated as demi-gods or intermediaries between mankind and God. However, Christians appointed him to divine heights that he was not entitled to. Jesus' Message lasted in its original purity for some time. While the Israelites and the Roman authorities rejected his Message, there were a group of people that accepted and believed in his Message called his disciples. Soon after God elevated Prophets Jesus soul and body to Heaven.   The early devoted followers of Jesus tried to maintain the purity and clarity of his teachings; that he is only a Messenger of God. Jesus' Message lasted in its original purity for some time, but the Scripture he received was slowly altered and his original Message of the absolute Oneness of God. Soon later, in the next few centuries, different beliefs about Prophet Jesus developed amongst some early Christians. They claimed that he was divine, calling him the son of God, which eventually became the dominant Christian belief.   Six centuries after Jesus, God sent His last and final Messenger Muhammad to mankind with His final scripture, known as the Holy Quran. If Jesus claimed to be God then there would be many verses in the Bible which would have mentioned so, however, there is not a single verse in the entire Bible that states Jesus said 'I am God' or 'worship me' Furthermore the Bible itself calls Jesus a Prophet: "When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred and asked, Who is this? The crowds answered. This is Jesus, the Prophet from Nazareth in Galilee" (Matthew 21:10-11). How could Prophet Jesus be God and God's Prophet at the same time? That wouldn't make any logical sense. Jesus never claimed he was God, or he should be worshipped. Jesus never claimed divinity. All Prophets and Messengers were created human beings who had no divine attributes, power or any divine qualities of God. They were the best slaves of God that walked the Earth; who ate, drank, slept, and lived normal human lives.

The Arabic word 'Muslim' literally means someone in submission to the will and law of God. The Message of Islam has always been universal and meant for all people. Anyone who accepts this Message becomes a Muslim. One out of four persons on this Earth is a Muslim. There are 1.8 billion followers which equate to about 24% of the global population. While Islam is the world's second-largest religion, after Christianity, Islam is the fastest growing religion. Muslims are projected to surpass Christians around 2070 as the largest religious group in the world.   While much may associate the religion of Islam with countries in the Middle East, only 18% of Muslims are Arabs & 82% of Muslims are non-Arabs. Muslims represent the majority population in fifty-six countries. The Muslim population is a diverse community of believers spanning the globe. There are many Muslims who live in Europe, South East Asia, & in the West. Islam is not limited to one ethnicity or group of people. Muslims are made up of people from a wide variety of ethnic backgrounds, races, cultures, and national origins. Whereas there are more Christians than Muslims, the religion that has the most followers practicing their faith and its rituals is Islam. There is a higher percentage of Muslims practicing Islam than Christians practicing Christianity.   A Muslim is a person who submits his or her will to Almighty God, as he acknowledges that God knows what's best for him; so, he follows God's commandments for his own best interest. A Muslim is someone who lives to attain a higher purpose in life. A Muslim lives to better himself and the things around him. A Muslim lives following God's commandments so he can live a peaceful and happy life in this world, and so he can prepare himself for eternal joy in the next world.   In Islam, worshipping God comprises every act, belief, statement, or sentiment of the heart which God approves and loves. Anything that brings a person closer to His Creator would be considered an act of worship. It includes physical and external forms of worship like the daily ritual prayers that Muslims are prescribed to do, fasting, and charity. It also contains internal worship such as faith in the Angels, God’s Books, and His Prophets. Acts of worship also include the loving of God, gratitude, reverence, and reliance on God. God is worthy and entitled to worship by the body, soul, heart & mind.   In Islam, a Muslim is not someone who just knows the truth; a Muslim is someone that submits to the fact. A Muslim is someone that believes in God and Follow God's commands. Islam stresses belief does not just mean believing in one's heart, but also acting on the belief. Mere faith counts for nothing if not carried into practice. The purpose of Islam is not merely knowledge, it is the submission, and no belief or knowledge by itself can bring salvation. Even Satan believes in God as he has spoken to God. The Quran records a dialog between Satan and his Lord:   "He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected. [ Allah ] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved. Until the Day of the time well-known." [Satan] said, "My Lord, because You have put me in error, I will surely make [disobedience] attractive to them on Earth, and I will mislead them all Except, among them, Your chosen servants" (Quran 15:36-40)   However, Satan disobeyed his Lord and refused, stubbornly and arrogantly to prostrate when his Lord commanded him to which showed a severe nature of arrogance, self-admiration, and pride. The fact that Satan believed in the existence of God without rightful action, did not benefit him. Satan became amongst the disbelievers because his belief was canceled out by his pride, arrogance, stubbornness, and his poor behavior before his Lord. Belief in God and action complement each other and are intertwined. Love manifests itself in action and belief in the heart results in good actions. If a man truly loves God, he would show it in his obedience to God's commandments to earn God's pleasure.   Islam states that both inner beliefs, and outward actions, make up what is known in Islam as ‘Iman’ which translates to faith. When Muslims obey God's commandments, it does not deny them pleasures of this world. God made humans the successors of this Earth, God states in the Quran:   "And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I will make upon the Earth a successive authority..." (Quran 2:30)   Islam states humans have been put here on Earth by God and they are to use the material means to build a positive life in this temporary world which will eventually lead them to a positive eternal life in the Hereafter. God states:   "But seek, through that which Allah has given you, the home of the Hereafter; and [yet], do not forget your share of the world. And do good as Allah has done well to you. And desire not corruption in the land. Indeed, Allah does not like corrupters" (Quran 28-77)   Islam does not take the ability and the right to live well in this world. Instead, Islam teaches every experience one has in this world should be more than just that feeding moment. This world is much more than just living to entertain oneself and to accumulate material goods. A Muslim lives for a more superior and compelling reason. A Muslim lives to find purpose in his life and that purpose is to discover who created him, determine how his Creator wants him to live, and to build a relationship with him.   The opposite of a Muslim is a ‘Kafir.’ The Quran warns one against being a kafir. The word kafir occurs over 150 times in the Holy Quran. The word kafir refers to something that is covered up or concealed. For instance, a farmer is also called kafir in the Arabic language–because a farmer covers seeds in the earth. The Qu ran uses the word kafir to describe a disbeliever because a kafir is one that is insincere in their life; deliberately rejecting the truth which they covered despite knowing its truth. A kafir is also someone that refuses to question the beliefs taught to them during their childhood. They blindly follow their forefathers without thinking, reflecting and pondering over their beliefs. They do not search for the truth. The word kafir in the west is usually translated to an infidel which is not the proper definition. The word infidel means someone who does not believe in God, whereas a kafir is someone that denies, conceals, or refuses the truth. A kafir is someone that rejects the truth or knows the truth but refuses to act upon it. A disbeliever is also someone that is ungrateful; who lives, hide, or cover in the darkness of ignorance.   Islam does not teach to hate non-Muslims. Islam came to bring dignity to all human beings. The Quran explicitly states that the children of Adam are honored. God has given respect to all sons of Adam which would include every human. If God gives them respect, we certainly need to respect them. God States:   "And We have certainly honored the children of Adam and carried them on the land and sea and provided for them of the good things and preferred them over much of what We have created, with [definite] preference" (Quran 17:70)   The term 'Children of Adam' which God uses to refer to humanity, excludes any discrimination based on race, color, or gender. Human dignity is universal since all human beings are descendants of Adam. God also commanded His Angels to prostrate themselves in humility before Prophet Adam peace be upon him, the father of humanity, when he was created to elevate the status and honor of humanity. Also, God mentions in the Quran how He has honored the sons of Adams and made them noble by creating them in the best fashion and most perfect forms.   "We have certainly created man in the best of stature" (Quran 95:4)   God is very explicit in the Quran about treating non-Muslims poorly that even if one's parents are idol worshippers and forcing them to worship false gods, one should not worship those gods but should treat their parents with the utmost respect and love.   During the time of our Prophet, Prophet Muhamad peace be upon him was sitting with his companions when a funeral service passed in front of them. Prophet Muhammad stood up. Then, one of his companions ask him, 'why are you standing? This is the funeral service of a Jew' Prophet Muhammad replied, 'Was it not a soul?’ He was teaching his companions that all humans are valuable. Islam teaches that the only real criterion by which one surpasses another is that of piety, God-consciousness in actions, and righteousness.   "O mankind, indeed, We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted" (Quran 49:13)   A Muslim is someone that doesn't make wealth, health and power his or her ultimate aims of in life. Whereas Muslims use these to live; it's not their aim or goal. Muslims have a much bigger aim in life than the gathering of perishable material goods.   Since the life of Prophet Muhammad is filled with countless examples that show his status as a role model for humanity for all, including societies and individuals, one can find truths in Prophet Muhammad's life that make up an example for them to follow. His life was full of good manners, superior morality, generously, good habits, politeness, respect, gentleness, noble feelings and wisdom from God, all of which help mankind live a better, peaceful, and more comfortable life full of good.   Emulating the Prophet would also help one from falling into error or sin. Prophet Muhammad is the sacred model for humanity to emulate and follow his footsteps as he was sent by God the All-Generous as an example of how one should live his life to the best of his ability. Thus, Muslims study the Biography of the Prophet Muhamad which they call Seerah. Muslims believe the most accessible road to goodness, moral excellence, and success in this life and the afterlife comes through an emulation of the Prophet. Muslims emulate Muhammad's faith, behavior, attitude, manners, patience, compassion, piety, and even daily tasks like the way he ate, drank, slept, interacted with others, etc. The teachings of Prophet Muhamad acts as a mercy and a healing for all of humanity.   A Muslim is someone that continually tries to improve him or herself and tries to perfect his manners. Islam stresses the importance of ethical behavior. A Muslim is one that treats his parents, spouse, children, and family kindly. Islam forbids Muslims from mistreating and being unjust to their parents or family and made it compulsory for one to treat them with all goodness and mercy.   "And your Lord has decreed that you not worship except Him, and to parents, good treatment. Whether one or both of them reach old age [while] with you, say not to them [so much as], "uff," and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word" (Quran 17:23)   Islam incorporates a basic set of rules designed to protect the rights and freedoms of individuals and communities. The Islamic concepts of freedom, human rights, and the ability for one to live in a secure community are embedded in and granted by Islamic law called the Sharia. One of the greatest sins one can commit to Islam is intentionally taking One's life unless it's for a just cause.   A Muslim is one that gives charity, helps the needy, the poor, and orphans.  Giving to the needy is not just recommended by Islam; it is required of every financially stable Muslim. Zakat (alms-giving) is an obligation for those who have been blessed with wealth from God to respond to those members of the community in need. A Muslim is one that lives with humility and does not live with pride or arrogance. Nor is a Muslim boastful or vainglorious. Islam condemns pride and self-righteousness.   "And do not walk upon the Earth exultantly. Indeed, you will never tear the Earth [apart], and you will never reach the mountains in height" (Quran 17:37)   Islam teaches Muslims the best way to greet his fellow brother or sister is with the Islamic greeting of 'As-Salam Alaykum' which translates to 'peace be upon you' which grants the other for protection, safety, security, and mercy from evils and faults. The name 'Al-Salam' is one of the names of God in Arabic, so it also means 'May the blessing of His Name (God) descend upon you.' No matter what nationality, ethnicity or color a Muslim brother or sister may be, it is an obligation for one to greet his fellow brother or sister as a family since all Muslims share the belief in One God and the last and final Prophet and Messenger Muhamad.   Muslims are obligated to spread the word of Islam to others which is called Da’wah in Arabic. Da’wah translates to mean, ‘to call or to invite’. In the Islamic context, the word refers to calling, conveying, inviting people towards the Message of Islam, towards God, towards the Truth, towards the right path prescribed by the Almighty for all of mankind. The call of Da’wah invites, inclines, and encourages people to voluntarily submit to the Will of Allah, by worshipping Him alone and following His commandments.   "Call to the way of your Lord with wisdom and fair preaching, and argue with them in the best manner possible…" (Quran 16:125)   Whereas Islam states guidance only comes from God, and no one can embrace Islam except with the permission and will of the Almighty, Muslims are still obligated to convey the message of Islam according to their capacity and circumstance. Muslims also remind, re-educate, and motivate current non-practicing to become better Muslims. According to Allah the Glorious, no one has a better speech than those who engage in calling upon others to his religion and way of life of Islam. The Quran says:   "And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah and does righteousness and says, "Indeed, I am of the Muslims" (Quran 41:33)   There is no one whose speech is better than that of a person who calls people to the truth, for he is their guide to their Creator and Lord who removes people from their darkness of misguidance into the light of faith.

CAGE FULL OF BIRDS “As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich. They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge,” (Jer. 5:27-28). BINDING AND CAGING DEMONS Cage all the demons asking the Father to loose His Angels and the Word in commanding prayer to send them to the feet of Jesus for torment before their time according to (Matt. 8:29), “And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? Art thou come hither to torment us before the time?”  “As a cage is full of birds (demons), so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich,”( Jer. 5:27, “And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird,” (Rev. 18:2). Father, In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I loose into myself and my family the angels of God to fight our battles in the heaven lies. Let them guard us from Satan and all his hosts who would have us believing and agreeing with lies. We bind all deception within us to prevent any more from getting through to us. Lord, minister to our needs.

16: Can honors and fame make me happy?

It is impossible for happiness to consist in honor. For honor is given to a man on account of some excellence in him; and consequently it is a sign and attestation of the excellence that is in the person honored. Now a man's excellence is in proportion, especially to his happiness, which is man's perfect good; and to its parts, i.e. those goods by which he has a certain share of happiness. And therefore honor can result from happiness, but happiness cannot principally consist therein.   ---   Objection 1. It would seem that man's happiness consists in glory. For happiness seems to consist in that which is paid to the saints for the trials they have undergone in the world. But this is glory: for the Apostle says (Romans 8:18): "The sufferings of this time are not worthy to be compared with the glory to come, that shall be revealed in us." Therefore happiness consists in glory. Reply to Objection 1. The Apostle speaks, then, not of the glory which is with men, but of the glory which is from God, with His Angels. Hence it is written (Mark 8:38): "The Son of Man shall confess him in the glory of His Father, before His angels." Man's happiness cannot consist in human fame or glory. For glory consists "in being well known and praised," as Ambrose [Augustine, Contra Maxim. Arian. ii, 13 says. Now the thing known is related to human knowledge otherwise than to God's knowledge: for human knowledge is caused by the things known, whereas God's knowledge is the cause of the things known. Wherefore the perfection of human good, which is called happiness, cannot be caused by human knowledge: but rather human knowledge of another's happiness proceeds from, and, in a fashion, is caused by, human happiness itself, inchoate or perfect. Consequently man's happiness cannot consist in fame or glory. On the other hand, man's good depends on God's knowledge as its cause. And therefore man's beatitude depends, as on its cause, on the glory which man has with God; according to Psalm 90:15-16: "I will deliver him, and I will glorify him; I will fill him with length of days, and I will show him my salvation." ST I-II, Q 2. A2 & 3. --- O Jesus! meek and humble of heart, Hear me. From the desire of being esteemed, Deliver me, Jesus. From the desire of being loved... From the desire of being extolled ... From the desire of being honored ... From the desire of being praised ... From the desire of being preferred to others... From the desire of being consulted ... From the desire of being approved ... From the fear of being humiliated ... From the fear of being despised... From the fear of suffering rebukes ... From the fear of being calumniated ... From the fear of being forgotten ... From the fear of being ridiculed ... From the fear of being wronged ... From the fear of being suspected ... That others may be loved more than I, Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it. That others may be esteemed more than I ... That, in the opinion of the world, others may increase and I may decrease ... That others may be chosen and I set aside ... That others may be praised and I unnoticed ... That others may be preferred to me in everything... That others may become holier than I, provided that I may become as holy as I should… --- www.pintswithaquinas.com
