Throughout this series, we've been learning from the Sermon on the Mount and how Jesus took Old Testament teachings and further revealed the heart of God. One of the most impactful moments is in Matthew 5:43 when Jesus teaches that it's not about “identifying our enemies,” but ensuring we don't become enemies ourselves. It isn't about drawing lines between who deserves love and who doesn't, but erasing those lines completely. By loving our enemies, we not only prevent ourselves from becoming what we hate but potentially transform both ourselves and our relationships.

God commands Israel to build the Tabernacle, a portable dwelling place for His presence. Every part of it points forward to Jesus, who would one day "tabernacle" among us. This moment shows us that God's greatest desire is to be near His people. His presence is not distant—He walks with us, even in the wilderness. (Exodus 25–40, John 1:14)

Each year we imagine new and improved lives, but for most of us our strategy is: "I Hope..." Hope without truth and action rarely amounts to anything more than wishful thinking. This is why our year often ends up different than we hoped for. What if this year, we did more than hope? What if this year we made some declarations to live by and put action to our hopes? James 2:17 Godly Grit: We have a tendency to give up when things get hard. What if something miraculous is just a committed next step away? As the trade deadline looms, catastrophe strikes teams across the league. Some are in a rare championship window and need to go all in on blockbuster trades to push them to the end of the season. Will they take a gamble? Or will they go all-in like Jerry Jones, and do nothing? Speaking of Jerry, the GM admitted in a roundabout way that Derrick Henry would have wasted his career with the Cowboys. Andy Dalton was in a car accident-- and speaking of absolute wrecks, despite the Jets losing even after the Devante trade, Aaron Rodgers still wants to believe this season.
