On the Going All In Podcast, we, Kyle and Allie Hammers, press record and dive into real life problems and topics ranging from something we recent learned in our faith walk, to experiences we have just in life itself. We have a few different passions so you never know what we may end up talking about, but we will do it all for the glory of Jesus Christ.Â
In this episode, we talk about our recent experience at Passion Conference, sharing out faith through social media, and the surprising push back from both sides that come from it (and how you should deal with it). This episode was really fun to record. Hope you enjoy!!
What happens when you have to go through something hard? Do you get stressed, anxiety, fear, etc.? In this episode we talk all about how to engage when things get hard or busy. I am definitely practicing what I preach on this podcast. Be encouraged, and go all in with Jesus today, tomorrow, and every day to come!!!
On this episode of the podcast we dive into our last year and reflect on all that has happened! It is amazing the things you can learn from your last year just but sitting down and bullet pointing some key milestones and remembering the events that have happened. We had a lot of fun reflecting and we are so excited for this reflection to launch us into 2023!
On this episode of the Going All In podcast, we dive into what we are learning and how it applies to our walk with the Lord. Allie has been discovering some new information while reading James Clear's book, Atomic Habits. Specifically, we dive into how we can implement atomic habits to our strengthen our relationship with Christ. You'll also want to stick around til the end as we dive into what Kyle has been up to in his readings and get a hint on a future episode. We hope you have a great week!
There is no doubt that God's word is important. We know that we need His word to thrive, but are we actually making the time to spend that time with him daily? Even if you are in a busy season, I challenge you to make the time even if it is five minutes! Listen to this episode as we dive into the impact scripture has on our lives in this busy season.
On this episode of the Going All In podcast, we share a way that we just saw God move in a powerful way. For years, we have longed for stories with God. Often times we hear stories of God moving in powerful ways from other people and we miss that he wants to show up in our lives in the same way. All God requires is someone who is willing to take a risk and sometimes, a leap of faith. Our goal in this episode is to give God all the glory and praise for the great things he has done and the GREAT GOD THAT HE IS!!
On this weeks episode of the going all in podcast, we go all in on an old journal entry! We spend time in an old journal dating back to July of 2021 which was all about what we had been learning after one month of dating. This episode is timely, as it is exactly one year from the day we got engaged.
On this episode of the Going All In Podcast, Allie gets the week off, and Kyle uses it to jump around all over the place. He covers topics ranging from the importance of going all in, how to keep going all in (and not getting burnt out), and lastly sharing Jesus. This episode is built on a foundation of what Kyle is learning and what he experienced this past week.
In this episode of The Going All In Podcast, Allie shares her experience over the last few days at LO Sister Conference! God showed up and showed out and IT WAS AWESOME!! We dive into some of the most fruitful moments and impactful messages from the gathering in West Monroe Louisiana. To wrap it up, we give some encouragement as most of us head back to school!
On this episode of the Going All In Podcast, we talk about how WHOSE you are is the most important thing when navigating WHO you are. So many times we make the mistake of letting what we do or what we have done speak into who we are. This is a tactic of the enemy whether it is finding our identity in something "good" like working out, being a good spouse, etc. OR shaming us into believing we are our worse mistake. We tackle all of this in episode 41. Stick around to the end to vote for best hat!
This episode is all about how God can use outward physical like training to accomplish an inner spiritual work. We dive into our personal experiences about how God has done exactly that in our lives. With the crossfit games taking place this past weekend, we thought it was fitting to dive into to talk about the sport we love and how God has used it for his good.
Today we get the privilege to share not only our responses to what going all in means, but sharing our friends' responses. Going all in with Jesus is not a one time thing. It looks like cutting out toxic people from our lives. It is choosing to know God has the best timeline in mind for us. What does going all in with Jesus look like for you? Are there some things or people that are hindering your walk with Jesus?
Perfectionism is a REAL struggle today for so many. How do we set an example without feeling the pressure of trying to be perfect? Leading at a local youth camp showed us that it is nothing that we can do, but what God can do through us. This is why leading with humility is so important. We aren't responsible for people's response to the way we lead, we are responsible for being obedient to God!!! If you struggle with perfectionism especially when it comes to leading in the church, this episode is for you!!
In this episode of the Going All In Podcast, Kyle and Allie sit down with Ethan Reed. Ethan is a great friend, brother, and he is a GO TO GUY for all things history. We specifically dive into some names that usually just get read over in scripture: Prisca and Aquila. Though this couple for Christ was briefly mentioned in scripture, their impact in how they ministered together was HUGE. We dive into the parts of scripture where they are mentioned, as well as what we can learn from the first christian power couple.
We are back! Married life has been wonderful and we are so excited to be back on the podcast again. Today's episode is all about cherishing and not comparing the gifts that God has given you. How many times do we look around us and want what others have? How many times do we think that they are more qualified than us because of what they have?
Hello friends! We are back on the podcast this week with a great episode about creativity. God is so neat in how he places specific gifts and desires within us. It is the core of who you are. If you love creativity and feel called to that place, we want to encourage you. Do you ever feel like God has placed desires within you but you don't have enough time to do them? What if we lived in the moment instead of dreading it, because we know that God is using us in every step and season that we come in contact with?
Allie is back with us this week on the podcast! I think we all desire to be happy where we are at, but we place our happiness in things, in money, in our looks, etc. What if we already had what we really needed? What if what we already had was enough for us today? If you are always wishing and wanting more of the world, you are never going to be satisfied. We already have access to the One who truly fulfills that desire, so choose to be content in Him today! Being content in Him allows us to have trust and confidence that we are right where he has us!
In episode 33 of the Going All In podcast, Kyle talks about Genesis 31 and 32, when Jacob ran for his life from his brother. God's eventually commanded Jacob to go back to the land of his father and his relatives, followed by a promise that God would be with Jacob. In the face of great fear, Jacob repeated God's promise back. Not to remind God...God never forgot. Rather, to remind himself. We can do the same thing in every fearful and sticky situation.
This may be my favorite episode EVER!! We get super real in this episode as we talk to you all about what we are learning in our relationship and what we are learning about each other. Not only are we learning and navigating through our relationship, but we are learning more about the love of Christ. We are not experts, but we do believe that our journey can be used to give God glory and lead others to Him. We hope you all are encouraged by this episode!!
Going all the way back to episodes 3 and 4, we discussed 4 P's: Prayer, Positioning, Purpose, and Peace. Over the last few months, God has shown us little nuggets, expanding on the some of these word. Recently, God has shined some light on the positioning part. You are the salt of the earth, the word says, and God has positioned you where you are for influence. However, He has done so not just for any influence, but for Kingdom influence. That is what we dive in on in this episode.
The Jesus Revolution occurred in the 1960s. This is where sin and lawlessness was running rampant, and people were asking the question, "Is God Dead?" Can you see the parallels in today's day and age? This gives us an opportunity to be bold and share what we know about Jesus. Tune in for a great reap of Saturday's YA Encounter night!
Do you ever have those days that don't seem to stop? The days that start when you wake up and don't end till late at night when you lay your head down? We all have those days. It is important to know "your why" , and who you are grinding for in these moments. A deeply rooted why will drive you to stay up late working on something. Beyond that, it isn't enough to have a deep why. We can take it a step further by asking what are we rooted in? Are we rooted in truth? In Jesus? This is the Grind for God.
Tyler Vaughn, owner of Pathology, and physical therapist, is our first guest on the podcast. He discusses the importance of suffering, and facing failure. We discuss how most of the time none of us want to suffer, or be put in an uncomfortable position. You can relate that feeling of suffering spiritually, or physically. We had a lot of fun in this interview! Make sure you stick around to the end for Tyler's answer on "What does going all in look like for you?" Use code "GOINGALLIN' for 15% off of your order on pathology.com!
When you turn left and right there is always something that the world finds division over. Jesus isn't surprised of how much division there is, because he lived it out in the scriptures!! Maybe you are experiencing it in school, college, family, etc., the only true unity you will experience is with the One who created it and lived it out.
Do you ever question why you are going through a hard season? Maybe asking God, "Why?" There is hope. There is purpose in the ups and downs. On this week's episode we discuss the purpose that God has for us even when we feel like there isn't purpose in our current situation. God can turn it for good. He can turn what you are going through around for His glory! We are all on this constant journey towards God, and sometimes it gets hard, but find comfort in knowing that He has a perfect plan for you.
Happy late Valentine's Day to all of you!! We thought we would celebrate by talking about the origin of true love and what that looks like for us. It doesn't matter if you are single, or dating, this episode is for everyone-because ultimately, our relationship with God flows into every other area to our lives.
Another week, another episode! Happy Tuesday friends! This week we share an encounter we had with a believer over the weekend. Have you ever felt like there were no other believers where you live? We discuss what we have found relevant and encourage you in progressing towards fellowship.
What a week it has been since last Tuesday! On this episode we are just sharing what has been our hearts lately with the college life group. I hope this encourages you to dream big and go all in for Jesus. Paul encourages us to be lights in the world, holding firm to the word of life! Let's be lights in the world all for His glory!!!
Are you a dreamer, or do you desire to pursue a calling, a degree, a career, etc? In this episode we talk about the journey of pursuing a dream and what it really means to go all in. Dreams can sometimes feel like a weight, not because they are, but we feel like we have to reach for perfection when pursuing them. That is the opposite of God's WORD! If you are in the middle, or at the beginning of this dream, don't be discouraged! Tune in as we encourage you for what has helped us in dreaming for Jesus!!
I know I have said this ALOT- But this may just be one of my favorite episodes! Are you struggling to find the boldness to share the gospel of Jesus with others, or find it hard to defend your faith? Let me be the first to tell you that your own ability does not make you capable! God's power working THROUGH you makes you capable of sharing and defending your faith. Kyle and I get real about an experience we had during Passion 2022 and it has increased my boldness and faith- I hope it does yours too! Be bold and GO!
We are back with our first episode of 2022!!! What better way to start the year than reflect back in Passion 2022 with you all? Even if you aren't a college student we talk about the importance of being around like-minded believers, our favorite moments of passion, and overall experience. If you are considering attending passion in the future, this is your confirmation to GO, or listen to all the sermons on YouTube!
Welcome back to podcast! We hope you all had a great Christmas. Now it is time to look forward to the new year and all that God is going to do in 2022!! We are diving into Hosea and Psalms in this episode. Open your bibles and look to scripture with us as we talk about the call to repentance, obedience, and trusting God!
Last Friday night Kyle and I had the opportunity to volunteer at our church's middle school lock in. There was so much we learned from the kids, and we thought we would share our experience. It went from a night we were dreading to a night we won't forget-simply because God showed up. These middle schoolers were bold! We hope you are encouraged by our reflection of what happened last weekend!
Have you ever had to make a decision where the answer from God wasn't all that clear? Maybe it seemed like He was leading you to choose one or the other. Those can be the toughest decisions to make because they are in a grey area. When we understand the blessing depends on Him, and not our own understanding, we can walk in freedom and confidence to pick a line and GO!
On this week of the Going All In podcast, we are leaving you with a short episode to solely challenge your perspective of what it truly means to give it all up for Jesus. Though it is short, we encourage you to think about this for the rest of the week! What does it truly mean to give it all up for Jesus?
Have you ever read the parable of the talents in the book of Matthew? Three servants were each given a certain amount of talents. Two of them were faithful with what they were given, but one hid what they were given. What are you doing with what you have? Each of us are so unique, completely crafted in the image of God. He has given us gifts, characteristics, abilities, and opportunities to further His kingdom! Lets be faithful with what He has given us.
IT's almost the NEW YEAR! Although it's only Thanksgiving week, have you thought about your word for 2022? Maybe it's not a word, but something God is calling you to pursue! Either way, we want to encourage you to take some time to think about the new year ahead and the fresh start we are given!! What is your word? What is God putting on your heart for the new year? If you don't know, take some time to ask God what it is!! Thank you for listening and happy thanksgiving week!
In this episode of the podcast, Kyle and Allie discuss grace and its role in us living holy, righteous lives, that are pleasing to God. At the end of the day, that is what we long for as followers of Jesus. We give some context to what holiness and grace mean. As the new year is right around the corner, holiness has been heavy on our hearts. Join us over these next six weeks in pursing the things of God and prepare the way for the great things He is doing.
In this episode, Kyle and Allie discuss the love language of quality time and how it pertains to Jesus. Not only do we talk about what quality time with Jesus is, but also what it does for us (a LOT) AND what our day to day quality time with Jesus looks like. Our encouragement is this: quality time with Jesus is really good. If you've fallen out of spending time with Jesus, we hope this challenges you to get back into it. If your Jesus time is on point, then we hope this was solid affirmation. GO ALL IN for Jesus!!
On this week's episode, Kyle speaks with Pastor Greg Stier, founder of Dare2Share ministries. They discuss topics from overcoming fear and sharing the gospel with your friends, to stepping out in faith from a 9-5 to full time ministry. Stick around for the end of the episode, to hear Greg's take on the staple question on the podcast, "What does going all in with Jesus look like for you?" To access Greg's platforms and resources discussed on the podcast, click the link below: https://gregstier.org/
A couple weeks ago we took a trip to St. Louis to see MAVERICK CITY live in concert. Not only was it a great worship session, but we were so encouraged to see younger people worshipping too! If you are following Jesus, it is harder to find people that want to pursue God with you. In this episode we talk about how friendships are so important when they are centered around God.
An earthly relationship should reflect the kind of relationship that we have with God, clear and intentional. If the person you are pursuing or is pursuing you isn't making their intentions clear, that is a red flag. Stating your intentions at the beginning of the relationship, allows there to be no room to guess. If you feel like you are constantly guessing how the other person feels, don't be hesitant to ask them where they want the relationship to go, and if you are not on the same page, you have your answer!
Because of boundaries being such a broad topic, here is PART TWO of boundaries. In this episode, we discuss accountability and the importance of having people around you call you out in love when they see you crossing the boundaries you have laid in your relationship!
We do not rise to the level of our goals, We fall to the level of our habits. AKA we fall to the level of our boundaries. If you desire purity, what are you doing NOW that is going to allow you to achieve that goal? Boundaries in relationships propel you for a freedom that others cant walk in because of the absence of boundaries in their own relationship with the other. Where are you drawing the line? Going all in for Jesus in relationships often goes against our human nature and desires, but we have to realize that His way is the best way!!!!
In honor of our engagement, we thought we would do a series on RELATIONSHIPS! In the first episode on the relationship series, we kick it off by establishing what foundation sets you up for a successful earthly relationship-Jesus. Without Him, we can't love another to our best ability. Who are you loving first? What actions are you taking to put him first?
Is your past holding you back? Lies from the enemy might be entering your mind when you want to go all in with Jesus. The battle with anxiety, fear, sin, or your past, is not a battle to be fought on this earth. The enemy wants to aim his attacks on your mind. Take the lie, strip it away, and place it with God's truth. You can go all in with Jesus. You are able to walk in freedom because of the God within you!
Last week's episode introduced the meaning behind the 4 P's. This week, we are going to go deeper into what prayer, positioning, purpose, and peace has looked like for us both in past seasons. When it comes down to it, God is the connection in all these areas of our lives.
Prayer. Positioning. Purpose. Peace. Listen to the convo we have as we talk about all things purpose and what it means to truly walk with God. Are you worried about your future? Are you wondering what your purpose in life is? Purpose isn't a destination, it is a position under God.
Are you going all in with Jesus? It isn't a to-do list, where you have to check off your tasks. It's time for a change. In this episode, we get super real in how to go all in. God is about to de-bunk a bunch of lies and stereotypes that are so common in the church. Going all in is simple. Just say yes to Him, and give Him your heart. He takes care of the rest!!!
In our FIRST ever episode of going all in, we discuss how to set an example in speech, conduct, faith, love, and purity. Kyle explains how he used 1 Timothy 4:12 in singleness and now our dating relationship. It doesn't matter if you are single, dating, engaged, or married, this episode not only dives deep into what you should be looking for in a person, but who you should strive to be. We are SO glad you are here for this.
