In this study, we now meet a man by the name of Simeon who was promised by God that he would not die until he had seen the Lord's Messiah, that is, Jesus as a baby. The Holy Spirit was upon him. This man also blessed God with a song. His song revealed that this child, Jesus, the Lord's Messiah, would be a light for revelation to the Gentiles and for the glory of God's people Israel. Our Lord is the focus of his song. Does your song focus on and feature the Lord Jesus preeminently? It blesses God who is our audience. Not only Simeon but also Anna, a widow, came into the temple and giving thanks to God, began speaking to all those around her about this Jesus.Let's turn to Lk.2:25 with Dr. Mitchell on the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast.

Our studies in the Gospel of Luke resume in chapter 1 beginning at verse 67. Luke provides us an inspired account of both the birth of John the Baptist and of Jesus Himself. When John the Baptist was born, his Father Zachariah filled with the Spirit prophesies. He refers to God's fulfillment of His Word through the former prophets by the birth of his son John the Baptist. He also speaks that his son John would be a prophet of the Most High to provide four things. 1st, He would go before the Savior to prepare His ways. 2ndly, to give knowledge of salvation to his people by the forgiveness of sins. 3rdly, to give light to those who sit in darkness4th & lastly, to guide our feet in the way of peace.Let hear more about John, Luke 1:67, on the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast with Dr. Mitchell.
At the end of his life, Jacob gathers his 12 sons for a final family meeting. Pastor Dan uses three words to describe what is happening in Genesis 49: blessing, poetry, and prophecy.

Continuing our series "No Other Gospel," this message from Galatians 3:1–22 shows us that the gospel doesn't just save us — it's also how we grow. Paul challenges the Galatians (and us) not to begin by faith and then drift into striving, but to remain anchored in the truth that God's blessing comes through belief, not human effort.
As we wrap up our Post-Easter series, we move toward a final blessing Jesus makes. Nail pierced hands will lift and bless His disciples. Knowing they were stepping into an unknown future, Jesus reminds them they would not go empty-handed. His blessing was the assurance of not only what happened, but a new strength in whatever came next. Do you believe that Jesus wants to bless you? What is He inviting you into next? Listen in as Pastor Dom reminds us of what happens when Jesus blesses us, and why that matters for what's next.
What happens when God doesn't wait for you to become the right person before showing up? Join us as we explore how God's grace precedes His transformation and why the hardest "detours" of our lives (the Harans) are often where He is building something beautiful for the future.Be sure to follow 614 Church online:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/614_church/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/614church/Website: https://www.614church.orgTo support our ministry, https://614church.org/give/To fill out a contact card so we can stay in touch, click the link below!https://614.churchcenter.com/people/forms/283193Until Everyone Knows Jesus.

Series - ABIDE: Growing a Life That Bears Fruit - Pastor Russ Atter
The Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast continues in the Gospel of Mark. We are in chapter 10. We continue on from our previous lesson where Jesus had been confronted by the Pharisees as to whether it was lawful, e.g. legal for a man to send his wife away, e.g. divorce her. It concludes with Jesus welcoming little children.Jesus speaks of God's original purpose for man and woman to be joined together and to become one flesh no longer being two but one flesh.Jesus pinpoints the reason why divorce occurs. It's simply because of hardness of heart. Hardness of heart is a compound word meaning a ‘shriveled heart', dried up and without any feeling, hardened, without any affection. Note this hardness toward the marriage partner is first of all, the result of a hardness against God and His Word. Here's Dr. Mitchell, Mark 10:1-16.

LESSON 37My Holiness Blesses The World. This idea contains the first glimmerings of your true function in the world, or why you are here. Your purpose is to see the world through your own holiness. Thus are you and the world blessed together. No one loses; nothing is taken away from anyone; everyone gains through your holy vision. It signifies the end of sacrifice because it offers everyone his full due. And he is entitled to everything because it is his birthright as a Son of God.There is no other way in which the idea of sacrifice can be removed from the world's thinking. Any other way of seeing will inevitably demand payment of someone or something. As a result, the perceiver will lose. Nor will he have any idea why he is losing. Yet is his wholeness restored to his awareness through your vision. Your holiness blesses him by asking nothing of him. Those who see themselves as whole make no demands.Your holiness is the salvation of the world. It lets you teach the world that it is one with you, not by preaching to it, not by telling it anything, but merely by your quiet recognition that in your holiness are all things blessed along with you.Today's four longer exercise periods, each to involve three to five minutes of practice, begin with the repetition of the idea for today, followed by a minute or so of looking about you as you apply the idea to whatever you see:My holiness blesses this chair. My holiness blesses that window. My holiness blesses this body. Then close your eyes and apply the idea to any person who occurs to you, using his name and saying:My holiness blesses you, [name].You may continue the practice period with your eyes closed; you may open your eyes again and apply the idea for today to your outer world if you so desire; you may alternate between applying the idea to what you see around you and to those who are in your thoughts; or you may use any combination of these two phases of application that you prefer. The practice period should conclude with a repetition of the idea with your eyes closed, and another, following immediately, with your eyes open. The shorter exercises consist of repeating the idea as often as you can. It is particularly helpful to apply it silently to anyone you meet, using his name as you do so. It is essential to use the idea if anyone seems to cause an adverse reaction in you. Offer him the blessing of your holiness immediately, that you may learn to keep it in your own awareness.- Jesus Christ in ACIM

November 3-9As the Restoration of the Fulness of the Gospel continued to unfold in the early 1840's, one revealed doctrine thrilled the Latter-day Saints beyond imagination. Yes, there were some references to this doctrine in the Holy Bible, but no Christian denomination at that time understood it, and none practiced it. When the Prophet Joseph first made public this amazing truth on Saturday, August 15, 1840, many of the Saints present were so excited, they immediately ran to the Mississippi River to begin the practice. And what is this doctrine? Baptism for the Dead. Today we'll talk about this glorious truth in detail.

Started off talking about the passing of Russell Nelson, the 17th prophet of the LDS Church, and talking about the succession crisis in Mormonism, as his successor, Dallin Oaks, is 93 years of age. Then we looked at the newly installed Archbishop of Canterbury, a wild-eyed leftist woman, who truly seems to mirror the denigration of the UK in general, and the Church of England in specific. Finally, we looked at a bad week for Pope Leo, including the really weird blessing of "the waters" via a block of ice, and the unrolling of a big long (sorry, but it looked to me like a) slip-and-slide that the people in the audience (including Arnold Schwarzenegger!) then lifted up and down to make it look like flowing water. It was truly that bad. We talked about how Leo is truly the continuation of Francis, and how given his younger age and evident health, could present a long pontificate during which to confirm Francis' plans and change of direction of the Roman Church.
