Stories of Grace. You have come through many of life's obstacles, pitfalls, traumatic experiences and setbacks, this space has been created with you in mind, a space to share your story of Grace.
So often we will push ourselves to the limit and then find ourselves asking questions like, "Why am I so tired"? "Why am I feeling so much anxiety"? If we sit with ourselves long enough, we'll more than likely discover that we have overextended ourselves. Contrary to what we want to believe about ourselves, we are not that strong to carry it all, our bodies are not designed for the load we sometimes put on it. Listen in as we talk about knowing how far to push ourselves. Scripture References: Psalm 139:23-24 Exodus 20:3 Deut. 5:7 and Exodus 34:14
The month of April is about "renewal", and "new beginnings". It's the season we celebrate the Resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ. His Resurrection signifies a "new life,", and a "new beginning, for all who are in Him. There's more, God has given us gifts to Glorify Him and edify others, renew your commitment to the gifts, ideas, and dreams He's given you. Scriptures: Romans 10:9:10 John 10:10
How many times have you compared your life or situation to someone else's and afterward wanted to just quit. Give up. Declare that you are a hopeless case. God has a purpose for your life, and it does not involve comparing yourself to someone else. What we see from others on social media, is usually a façade. It's not real, it's not as glamorous as it appears. Listen as I discuss ways to overcome comparison. Scripture used in this episode Ephesians 2:10 Philippians 1:6 Proverbs 18:16
We all have seasons in our lives when we don't know what's going on. We question "why" things are the way they are. I want to encourage you to know that seasons change, it won't always be this way.
Why do we want to believe that we can do it all alone independent of God? Why do we say we're okay, when we're not? It's usually because we have trusted in our own abilities, resources and others rather than on the one who made us and knows all about us.
Fear is one of the enemies greatest weapons against us.
For years we have been told about God, read the bible, been active in our local churches but yet we have not fully comprehended the presence of God in our everyday lives. We are fully conscious of many things, but are we fully aware of God's presence with us? God is ever present with us, always aware of our every move, our every thought, and our feelings. God Himself is waiting for us, His redeemed children to push in to conscious awareness of His presence.
We have been asleep, lulled to sleep by the enemy while he steps in and steals from us little by little. He is so subtle that we had no idea that we were being robbed, until it was nearly too late. He has nibbled at our families, our children, our marriages, our relationships, our joy, our hope and our peace. And then one day we are questioning, "what is that, where did that come from"? Take a stand against the enemy and become intentional about getting your stuff back. In this episode I give you three tips on what to "do next", once you have been awakened to the schemes of the enemy. 1. Repent, Pray and Fast 2. Be Intentional 3. Worship Scripture References: Daniel 9:3 Matthew 4:17 Joel 2:12 1 John 5:14 Matthew 6:18 Psalm 29:2
This giant will have us mad at the whole world. It will have us blaming others for the sins of our own heart like jealousy, envy and hatred. It will cause us to believe that everyone is against us, no one cares about us and so in turn we develop a mean and critical spirit. Bitterness breeds negativity. It will cause us to never find good in anything. If you're holding on to a grudge, if you're mad at someone, let it go. The longer you hold on to it, the more bitter your heart will become. God wants and expects us to love, be kind, be compassionate and have joy in our hearts. He does not want us walking around mad, neither does he want us blaming others for the sins of our own hearts. Bible Reference: Ruth 1
There are things that we just need settling in our lives. Things that seem small or insignificant, things that keep coming up to nag you even when you thought you were over them. God speaks to us in Isaiah 1:18 and gives us an invitation to Come to Him! He invites us to come and "Let's settle this". This verse reminds us that there is nothing too small or big that He is not concerned with when it comes to His children. Take Him up on His offer to "Settle It".
Sometimes our lives can be unexpectedly interrupted, interruptions come in many forms. Listen as my guest Alberta Lane talks to us about her life interruption and how she's moving forward in the midst of her life interruption.
We all have giants that threaten to stop the plan of God in our lives. In this episode we're putting a name to the face so that we can gain victory and walk in total freedom for these giants. Are you brave enough to name yours? The Bible teaches us that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds. Make a decision to name your giant! 1 Samuel 17 2 Corinthians 10:4
Are you that person who overthinks almost everything? Do you find that overthinking hinders you from moving forward? Me too, so today we're talking with Shavawn Ragsdale and she's sharing how she is overcoming the urge to Overthink.
We have probably all had those moments when we just didn't get it. We couldn't understand why things didn't turn out the way we expected. In this episode I want to encourage you that even when you don't understand, God is God and "God Alone". Scriptures used in this episode: 2 Corinthians 1:3 1 Peter 5:10 Colossians 3:11 Isaiah 55:8-9 Names of God: Jehovah Rapha (Exodus 15:26) Jehovah-Shalom (Judges 6:24) Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6) Jehovah-Jireh (Genesis 22:8) Jehovah-Elyon ( Psalms 7:17) Jehovah-Shammah (Ezekiel 48:35) All and All (Colossians 3:11) Hope of Glory (Colossians 1:27) "I Am" (John 8:58)

There will not always be someone to pat us on the back, or encourage us to push forward or even tell us everything will be alright. In this episode I want to encourage you to "encourage yourself" in those times when there's no one around. I'm giving you four ways to encourage yourself, instead of waiting for people to affirm you.
This is a season you will not want to miss. Our theme is "A Better Me" plus bonus episodes of "Grace Stories". The first episode drops on August 12th. Subscribe to my email list at michelleclausell.com

Friends let us rest in the Lord while we're waiting for Him to set things in order for us. Let us rest in the fact that whatever God has told us we will do, we will do it in His timing. You, like me have seen God come through time and time again. We may have had to wait but many times we have tasted and seen that the Lord is good. Let us not be anxious but wait patiently for Him! Psalm 37:7
Our ancestors paid a mighty high price for us to be where we are today. Further along than we were but far enough away from where we want to be. We have a rich culture and heritage and it's our responsibility to teach it to our children. Freedom came for the African American in 1863 with the issuance of the Emancipation Proclamation but was delayed until 1865 for Texans when their slaveholders withheld the news that they had been emancipated. On June 19, 2021, let's celebrate the sacrifices of our ancestors and acknowledge the accomplishments of the African American.
Our past will keep us from moving forward to our future if we're not careful. Negative past experiences will keep us from experiencing all the good things God has for us. These negative experiences will hinder our progress, keep us from our destiny and cheat God out of receiving Glory from our lives. Recognize the things that hinder you from moving forward, release them and press on!
Life is hard, but it's also rewarding and gives us days of joy, love and peace. Sometimes we give way to much energy to the negative things we see or hear instead of focusing on the good things all around us, like our families, friends and beautiful sunny days given to us from God. Overall, our good days far outweigh our bad days, we just have to decide which one we want to magnify.
None of us like to wait. We become agitated, impatient and sometimes irritable. We sometimes throw our adult tantrums just like a little child. When there is something we're expecting or wanting, we want it quick, fast and we want it in a hurry. Waiting is not a type of punishment for you and I, it's actually a time of preparation while God puts all of the pieces together to produce something beyond what we ever expected.
Love is from God, Fear is from the enemy. We have all had those times of fear, when we were fearful of one thing or another. In this episode I want to remind you that "perfect love cast out fear" 1 John 4:18. Let's stand up in the face of fear and declare God's love, provision and grace over our lives. Scriptures used in this episode: 2 Timothy 1:7 Hebrews 13:5 1 John 4:18 Job 3:25 Identified Devotional can be purchased at www.michelleclausell.com
There is a Purpose that God has designed for you, and no one else can do it quite like you can. Listen with me as Adriane Woods talks to us about her journey to Living On Purpose. Renewed, Revived and Restored. These are three words that we all need to experience at some point in our lives. This episode will encourage you to turn to the one who is able to bring renewal, revival and restoration to your soul, that person would be God. Listen as Carla talks to us about how Worship brought her out of a state of depression and how God Restored her peace and gave her the confidence she needed to walk out her purpose. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
Purpose, Identity and Authenticity, these are the topics we're chatting about with Lady Toni Taylor. Many of us are familiar with not being our authentic self. Lady Toni has termed it "authentically fake", it's time for the "real you" to come forward. Let us who are mature be intentional, authentic, and transparent by telling our stories, so we can be about the business of mentoring this next generation. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
We can sometimes tell ourselves stories about ourselves that are negative, most times we are our own worst critic. In this episode we're going to get down to the bottom of our negative thoughts, and the lies we have believed about ourselves and replace them with the truth of who we are in Christ. Ask yourself, "Is the story I'm telling myself the truth, or have I bought into the lie of the enemy"?
Just when we think we're wearing all the hats well, we realize we're not. We need Jesus to hold our entire life together, this includes family, relationships, finances, ministry and so on. Our muscles are not as big as we think they are, and we are not as strong as we want to believe, we need Jesus to hold it all together.
"Heart Work" what exactly does that mean? Well today we're talking to my guest Latasha Ferguson who distinctly heard God say to her "Are you finally done"? We all have issues of the heart, Jeremiah 17:9 says "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; Who can know it? Blaming and looking at others is not the answer, the answer is surrendering to God and allowing Him to work in our hearts. We can all agree that it won't happen overnight, but there is a process to this "heart work". Latasha shares some great nuggets with us on how she surrendered and is now seeing the fruit of her surrender.
We don't understand the mystery of Grace, only that it meets us where we are but does not leave us where if found us. You remember that season in your life when it was just hard. If you were like me, you didn't recognize God's Grace during the difficulty because you were so focused in on the struggle. But looking back I realize that Grace is what carried me and help me show up everyday! God's Grace was with me during those hard days and He's with you in whatever season you find yourself in.
We have all probably had times in our lives when God needed to break some things off our lives. Times when He needed to refine our character, instructed us to walk away from some relationships or help us with some heart issues. Well today I'm talking about my own "Breaking". I realize now it was for my good, and to bring Him Glory! Don't be afraid of the "breaking", take it from me, He can be trusted. He will do it with grace, gentleness, kindness and love!
We all have dreams and visions we want to see fulfilled in our lives. What are your dreams, what has God gifted you to do? Today we are chatting with Danielle Ardoin-Brown, host of Deeper with Danielle, where we are diving into the importance of Vision, obstacles that hinder us and how to overcome them. It's understandable why the world is divided, but why is the Church divided? There is no doubt our Nation is divided all because of our political views. We must come together and realize that the issues we fight about are all wrong in the eyes of God. As Christians we must become a part of the solution and not a part of the problem.
Why do we do the things we do? Why do we react to situations the way we do? Could there be a “Root to The Matter”? Getting to the “Root” of any issue will prove to be beneficial for us.
We don't know what tomorrow holds, but we know the One who has gone before us. He has already prepared a path for us!
My special guest Sherian Brown talks to us about living through COVID19. She inspires us with her wisdom and insight as we all walk through these uncertain times.
These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you will have peace. In the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, “I have overcome the world”. John 16:33
It's Easter weekend and no matter what it looks like around us, God gets the Glory and Jesus is to be Magnified.
Although we are not in exile as mentioned in Jeremiah Chapter 29, we have been cut off from our familiar way of living. But can we still prosper here? I believe we can. Listen to the different ways you can prosper even in this season.
Life is anything but normal right now. We are such creatures of habit. We've never questioned if it was safe to bring our kids to the park or meet up with a friend for coffee. But in the wake of COVID 19, we're living a “New Normal”.
In all that we are having to walk through, please know “God is Our Keeper”.
Coronavirus has not caught God by surprise. God has told us over and over in His Word “Do Not Fear”. We must be a light in the chaos that has hit our world. Let's let our Faith be bigger than our fear.
Pray for me. How many times do we hear this phrase and we actually do it? If I'm being honest, I don't always. Do you? I realize that when people ask for prayer they're not just talking, they really need it. Sometimes we just can't find the words, that's why we need each other. Come on in and let's talk about it.
We've all heard the scripture Romans 8:28 right? All things work together for good. If we're not careful we will think only the good will work together to produce more good. But what about the not so good things that come, could they possibly work together for our good? We're talking about it today, come on in! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
