This year is all about going where the money resides. I do not know whether to be upset about the fact that unpaid internships are still, "a thing" or to just be appalled at the fact that there is still conversation surrounding being a part of an unpaid internship setting. The last time I checked, inflation was at an all-time high and the cost of goods and services keep rising. In this case, whether you are a recent college grad, a full-time student, or maybe in your senior year of high school, it is important to know, that YOU have value and you should apply to internships that compensate for your willingness to learn and contribute to their organization with some kind of stipend. Understanding your worth is crucial. One word of advice I have for us this year and I mean, anyone listening to this podcast is to treat yourself kindly and understand the value you hold. Most of 2021, I paid the price of fitting a narrative, that didn't serve me. I wont say I was a different person, but I was definitely not comfortable with how life was turning out. I'm happy I unravelled from things and thoughts that no longer served me, and found peace in the process. Intentional practices can change every day life.

I'd hope this episode inspires someone to stop for a second and reflect. Reflect on how far you've come and how far you see yourself going. I really have had to do a lot of introspection this year and I thank God for being able to guide me through this process.
