Today, I will speak to the harvest and that of the perception of being alone in the storm. These truly are times that try a man’s soul. It was the best of times. It was the worst of times. But on any given day, they are the times. And clearly I cannot leave out the fact that Shift continues to happen. It is a fact of life and it is how we handle those facts that will either make us or break us. Our survival depends on it.

Today is Memorial Day. As I was out on my walk, I began to think of all the battles and conflicts dating back to 1776 to the present. A time to give thanks for all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice so that we can be, do and have all that we sometimes take for granted. I sit here today, on this Memorial Day Weekend at the age of 67, reminiscing and exerting a strong feeling of Pride and Patriotism. And I owe this to my Hometown rearing.

So many things to think about and ponder these days. Sometimes we allow ourselves to be blind-sided by our surroundings. Why do we hesitate to get a coach or to seek additional leadership knowledge & training? Do we leave everything to the Government? It’s time you knew what Soylent Green was all about…

I am sharing this with you, personally, because deep down within you lies a seed or thought that is seeking to be set free. This seed or thought for some of you has been bothering you because you are so close to the fulfillment of the happiness that it will produce within you. How can I be so bold, you may be saying to yourself? Well I can be so bold because when you are done reading this, some of you are going to change. I could start out this story with that Classic opening line "No kidding there I was..." and then I thought that for some of the younger generations that they might not understand that line. Of course, if you served in the military, you would know this line in your sleep. The reason it is classic is because it describes you being in a situation where you could end up with a hopeless, painful outcome... but I digress.

You were clearly born for a purpose. Now this may seem like a very profound statement and depending upon where you are in your timeline of life, be questionable. But the answer, the true answer is that you were indeed born for a purpose. While we would clearly like to think that we are going to be good in everything that we set our minds on, it would seem obvious that you are talented and gifted to do specific things well.
