Shame and stigma around sex work and sex workers has always been prevalent in society. Sex workers are treated as second class citizens, often unable to secure a bank acount or housing simply because of their profession. In today's episode, I'm chatting with Sinnamon Love, a veteran sex worker, who is a fierce advocate for sex workers' rights, particularly within the BIPOC, queer, and trans communities. She is also the founder of The BIPOC Adult Industry Collective, a human rights organization whose goal is to provide sex workers of color with financial and community support.   Sex workers are largely to thank for the fact that society is becoming more sex positive. Sex workers affirm that you can be a good person and a sexual being; the two are not mutually exclusive. Words are a powerful form of expression. How do we let creativity flow in a way that is authentic and truthful? It's not about the words themselves, but rather where they're pointing.
