Words are a powerful form of expression. How do we let creativity flow in a way that is authentic and truthful? It's not about the words themselves, but rather where they're pointing. In this episode, I'm talking to Max S., poet, filmmaker, and speaker, who understands how to make words flow in a way that moves people. I found such power and desire and truth in his poem about porn, titled A Wild Vessel, and knew I had to have him on the show. Max shares his creative process, his journey with sexuality and eroticism through the influence of porn in his youth, and how he learned to reclaim his sexuality and physical intimacy in adulthood. What's in this episode: How poetry (both what it is and is not) influenced Max's work The importance of removing the ego from creativity His porn poem, A Wild Vessel How going with the flow can take your original idea to new and unexpected heights How to not limit your creativity to what you think it wants to be The energetic synchronicities between love, art, and god Why community is important to championing one's truth Advice on how to fully accept yourself (hint: live your truth!) This vision started fairly recently and developed into having their 1st event only 6 months later. There were a lot of people that wanted to get involved and help with it. Elana felt that she was in desperation of help because of how big it was becoming. She was watching herself get lazy and allowing other people’s ideas to guide the way. Find out what happened next by listening to the podcast. Following - Elana was in a place of not trusting her no, and allowing other forms to take control. She ended up cutting that chord to her life. She ended her relationship, she moved out of her apartment, she moved out of LA, and stopped both of her businesses. She did all of this so that she could ask herself, “Who am I in my full self expressed ‘yes’?”. Find out the rest of the story by listening to the podcast. Adore this woman. Jeez... 28th and a wild child, listening to her body's wisdom, getting the deliciousness of our sensuality and creativity that's not about sex or penetration... yet VERY sexy and empowering. She's the founder of Wild Vessel and just listened to Kali embracing Fierce Love to move out on her own. She walks her talk, sharing vulnerably about her journey, reminded that if it's not wobbly, you're probably not living ;-) YES! There were so many profound moments in this interview... one particularly about when we make our own pleasure and being supported our priority (I think she worded it differently... please listen xox) that only THEN can we be a beneficial overflowing resource to all... I like to say it, When mama's happy, everybody's happy. Yet it's the same thing... when we can let go of the fear, tension, shame and hesitance and really ask and RECEIVE what we desire, then from our fullness we are the hugest contribution to all that we love. Yet OMG that takes courage doesn't it? And humility. It's takes our full embodied selves. And it's what's being called for on the planet.
