Maxi Jazz & Robbie Williams).Desculpa qualquer coisa.
Ayalah Bentovim - known as Sister Bliss - is the woman behind Faithless, which she created in 1995 with Rollo Armstrong, Jamie Catto, and the legendary Buddhist rapper Maxi Jazz.Maxi died in 2022 and Ayalah talked to me about how she's managing to keep him as part of the show, as they prepare to go on tour for the first time in 8 years. We also talked about how she took her son Nate on tour as a baby and how he adapted so brilliantly to life on the road, with Faithless. Nate has just turned 18 and Ayalah shared with me how he still keeps her grounded even if she's about to go on stage in front of thousands of people. This is definitely something I can relate to!!Spinning Plates is presented by Sophie Ellis-Bextor, produced by Claire Jones and post-production by Richard Jones. Hosted on Acast. Jamie Catto is the director of the 2019 film Becoming Nobody, the quintessential portal to Ram Dass' life and teachings (BecomingNobody.com). He is an author and musician running transformational workshops and events to reclaim all the treasure we edited away into the shadows and facilitate everyone daring to be more real, more fallible, more tender, more intimate. His mission is to create a world full of ‘walking permission slips' where we all lighten up and enjoy the unpredictable human path together with humor, playfulness, and a healthy dose of irreverence. Jamie's workshops and 1-1s provide a refreshing approach to inner work with the right dose of playfulness and depth. Keep up with Jamie on his website or on Instagram.“So much of the treasure, creativity, lovemaking, parenting, laughing, dancing, the flow of the life is to be experienced when we allow ourselves to be moved and practice the qualities of Yin, which are curiosity, surrender, welcomeness, listening, spaciousness, all of those kinds of things where we let life live us and we become in the flow of the greater river of life.” – Jamie CattoSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
In this weeks Art of Alchemy podcast Jamie talks about film making with his spiritual teacher Ram Dass and how he desired to be anointed, wasn't his best self when making the film and yet how his heart was fully open whilst being in the creative process.Jamie Catto is a musician, teacher, writer and film maker (who also created the film ‘one giant leap').Whilst working in the creative industry Jamie soon realised that everyone was hiding huge parts of themselves which made it impossible for people to thrive and reach personal and professional success - it was this that led him to creating trainings and workshops around 'the shadows".Natasha and Jamie have a fun and engaging conversation about shifting perspectives and exploring the hidden aspects of oneself, often called the 'shadow', and why people have fears around exploring these shadows - and what gems are hiding in the parts of us we have edited, disregarded, rejected and ignored. They also discuss topics such as sexual kinks and the ‘king/queen' dynamics in a relationship and the mistreatment of women and the planet. They touch on shame, authenticity, and the desire to have a positive impact on the world. If you are interested in exploring the hidden parts of yourself Natasha has a 4 day event where she will be sharing 'shadow games'. You can find that info HERE. Jamie's workshops and 1-1s provide a refreshing approach to inner work with the right dose of playfulness and depth. He facilitates these professional, personal and creative breakthroughs by drawing from his own processes in ground-breaking film production, philosophy voyages and music career. Evolution and enlightenment happen a lot quicker and easier when we treat the whole process as entertainment instead of ‘working on ourselves'.“I've noticed longer lasting, healing trajectory changes happen when we curiously snorkel around the edges of our edges, not over-boldly plunge ourselves into deep cold water.Patient, caring and tending heals more sustainably than heroic pushing. I believe in making every step consensual with my fragile inner characters.I believe in the treasure of low-hanging fruit and heart-opening, playful intimacy, not stoic reverence and unworthiness before ‘more advanced beings' dressed as faux-humility.The huge, sexy river of creativity and wisdom is available to everyone in every moment - even this one right now - but it's through melting and opening not generating and do-ing. It's not a Yang act of will. It's our yielding Yin that allows us to be guided and filled by Life's Genius. The core of melodrama is based around something being 'at stake' but with our awakening there is literally nothing at stake. There's nothing to do but listen and open and be moved - our souls are plotting our pathways, and we are mostly passengers. That's what 'letting go' is all about. Trusting that river is real. Do you?Genuine healing changes happen when we remove the over-importance or agenda to transcend this glorious, messy human experience and instead, be thoroughly entertained by our fallible, slapstick genius, tripping over our heart strings and spilling the wine, falling on our arses again and again as a given and each time treating it as one of our most illuminating and liberating spiritual practices. This i

She continued her exploration by attending Authentic Movement, Contact improvisation, Rebirthing, Trance Dance, 5rhythms, BioDanza, and Grief Counselling courses. A candid conversation with my good friend Jamie Catto about being human, not pretending, traversing painful moments and not taking ourselves too seriously so we can truthfully express ourselves with freedom in ways that connect. Building communities that feel good and do good is something important to Jamie, his new 6 month exploration Game Changer is just that. Bringing lightness, entertainment and realness to the often too-serious/righteous game of healing is one of Jamie's specialities. Taking pieces from 1:1 friendships with some of the most influential leaders in the field of human consciousness, Jamie tells it like it is with an irreverent wit and truthful flavour that is nothing short of genius. If us humans are exceptionally good at anything, it's overcomplicating life and our existence. We are experts at thinking too much, adding meaning where there is none, taking offence where none was intended, becoming confused, befuddled and utterly discombobulated in the process. And the harder we try, the more we complicate things. The result is that we become misaligned with our values and our identity, and further away than ever from living a life of fulfilled potential. The French poet Guillaume Apollinaire famously stated that “now and then it's good to pause in our pursuit of happiness and just be happy.” Could it really be that simple? Could the secret of being – and being well – just be about letting go and stopping to simply be? In my latest podcast I spoke with author Jamie Catto, who was a founder member of the band Faithless, and who directed the Ram Dass documentary, Becoming Nobody. Jamie runs workshops, retreats and mentoring programs that aim to encourage us to lighten up and have personal breakthroughs that lead us to more fulfilled, gentle and human experiences. We talked about learning to sit in acceptance with who we are and how we feel, and how to just be. Enjoy our conversation, and for more information about Jamie and his work visit www.jamiecatto.com.

“WE ARE EACH OF US A WISE GURU IN CHARGE OF A MENTAL PATIENT” I had an incredible talk with highly-respected creativity catalyst Jamie Catto! It was an absolute honor to speak with him one-on-one! His book: Insanely Gifted is one of my favorites of all time and has changed the way I coach and interact with the world. It taught me many aspects of awareness based creativity and most importantly, gave me insight. He believes in play, creativity, shadow work and intimacy. It really opened my eyes towards the concepts of repression, authenticity and being kind to oneself. He's very blunt and his sense of humor is sly. He speaks the truth and it reverberates loudly. His advice of keeping a trigger journal will help a lot of individuals. I hope you watch this episode and gain extreme value from it! This is the explicit and uncensored episode and so proceed with caution. BECOMING NOBODY represents the core arc of Ram Dass’ teachings and life: whether as Dr. Richard Alpert, the eminent Harvard psychologist, or as Ram Dass who serves as a bridge between Eastern and Western philosophies, he has defined a generation of inner explorers and seekers of truth and wisdom. Through his turns as scion of an eminent Jewish family from Boston, rock-star Harvard psychologist, counter-culture rascally adventurer, Eastern holy man, stroke survivor and compassionate caregiver, Ram Dass has worn many hats on his journey, the narrative of which is revealed in this film. His ability to entertain and his sense of humor are abundantly evident in a conversation that brings us around to address the vast question of ultimate freedom. In BECOMING NOBODY, historic clips balance an engaging conversation with director Jamie Catto. We come to understand how our old roles and disguises become increasingly burdensome. The film captures a loving man full of joy, wit, honesty and wisdom, at ease in conversation while sharing his considerable pains and pleasures. The life experiences that have freed him from the attachments of his ‘somebody-ness’ have transformed him into the radiant soul who now inspires a new generation. Producer Raghu Markus joins us to talk about the life and times of Ram Dass, his transformation from Richard Alpert and what it means to love, serve, remember. About the Producer - Raghu Markus: Raghu Markus spent two years in India with Maharaj-ji and Ram Dass. He has been involved in music and transformational media since the early 1970s when he was program director of CKGM-FM in Montreal. In 1974 he collaborated with Ram Dass on the box set Love Serve Remember. In 1990, he launched Triloka Records and Karuna Music in Los Angeles, California. Triloka established itself as a critical leader in the development of world music and for 17 years was home to such artists as Krishna Das, Hugh Masekela, Walela, and Jai Uttal. He produced transformational media projects that featured Ram Dass, Deepak Chopra and Les Nubians. He is the executive Director of the Love Serve Remember Foundation. In 2016, he co-founded the Be Here Now Podcast Network and hosts Here & Now with Ram Dass as well as his own Mindrolling podcast. For news, screenings and updates go to: becomingnobody.com The documentary will open at the Rubin Museum in New York, at the Laemmle Royal in Los Angeles, as well as theaters in Bay Area, on September 6. Schreib mir gerne an: coaching@how2unblock.me. Dir gefällt mein Podcast und die Übungen? Dann empfehle ihn doch gerne an deine Freunde und Familie weiter! Alles Liebe, Susanne
Schreib mir gerne an: coaching@how2unblock.me. Dir gefällt mein Podcast und die Übungen? Dann empfehle ihn doch gerne an deine Freunde und Familie weiter! Alles Liebe, Susanne
Jamie Catto on Creativity and Relatonships Jamie Catto was a founding member of British Electronica band Faithless, and he was creator, producer and director of the multi-award winning One Giant Leap films and albums. He now leads transformative workshops on creativity and relationships all over the worldwide and his film about spiritual teacher Ram Dass is due out in September 2019. This episode was actually recorded about a year ago while I was still busy creating The Love Challenge, an online course about dating and relationships and we jumped into the conversation there talking about the keys to healthy relationships. Jamie Catto is kind, wise, open, boundlessly energetic, optimistic and passionate. I adore him. — Stephen Fry Note that there is some more swearing than usual in this episode! Episode Highlights: [On success] "A few people just manage to hit the mark every time, but most people they get there by being prolific." "when you go into a relationship with someone really you are agreeing to become if not the parent of their inner child, you're certainly agreeing to become the stepparent of their inner child." "If you haven't got that [perspective of] being kind and loving and finding your constant failure adorable, and not having any agenda for you to evolve one inch and just totally loving you as you are, if that's not switched on you're not going to have a very nice life. It's going to be agonizing." "One of the very, very, very few ways we have any choice to be powerful on this planet is we can choose which filter we look through life, which channel we look through life on." "I've done some projects unexpectedly that in a half day made me half a million pounds. I've had other projects I've spent four years on that still owe me money. It's not like you can predict." "[On creative blocks] - One it's not up to you if it's great or not. Two, you have to put out some great and some medium stuff. Even if you're fucking Bjork, Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon, they put out a lot of shit songs. First of all, let what's come through, come through. Don't pre-edit. That it's so fucking important. That everyone thinks you're great, is not (important). They're looking at their phone. They don't give a shit." "On dating - Don't come as the groomed, normal, Chino jeans wearing, sort of Gap homogenized version of a being. It's actually, when you fall in love with anybody it's because of their uniqueness." "The actual you is uniquely, valuably, amazingly hilarious, with all your dark humor and all your silly ways and self deprecating ways, you talk about your vulnerability and everything else like that. It's a breath of fresh air. The actual you is a breath of fresh air, is the truth. You just being honestly you, about how you feel, what your needing, how crazy you were yesterday. Then everyone can be, "Ahhh. I can be real too. What a fucking relief."" Wow. What a year it's been! Incredible to think Inner Truth only launched to friends and family in January this year and now we stand at 58 episodes with tens of thousands of downloads. It's hard to believe that somehow I ended up interviewing some of my favourite artists (Nick Mulvey!), writers, and most inspiring leaders in the conscious field. Most of all its been amazing to start conversations in this area, build a wonderful audience, and connect with so many amazing souls along the journey. Its always the reflections that you have on the episodes that light me up and its incredible when people are inspired to take action from something they've listened to on the show. So to say thank you in some small way, I put together a Best Of Inner Truth 2018 highlights show. Its bumper length (2 hours) and packed with some of the best wisdom shared over the year from everyone including Shaman Durek, Jamie Catto, Ruby Warrington, Nick Mulvey + more! I hope you love it! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Listen to an intimate conversation with Jamie Catto, founding and former Member of Faithless and Director of the double Grammy nominated Global Music and Film Collective, “1 Giant Leap”. He shares his own path of self-healing and the incredible tools that helped him turn dependency into vigorous self-care. He also elaborates on how there is so much intelligence in our pain. We are in fact perfectly capable of embracing uncomfortable feelings, the moment we decide to step beyond our comfort addiction and pro-actively turn towards what needs healing inside of ourselves.

Jamie Catto is a rare breed of individual. Starting life as a founding member of the DJ supergroup Faithless, he left to form the TV and film production company 1 Giant Leap which was double Grammy nominated for its films exploring interconnectedness and community around the world. Following his experience there he really started to look deeply into what it is that can hold people back from living out their full potential in life. Now he dedicates himself to running workshops that help people let go of their limiting beliefs and use playfulness and fun to unleash their full creative potential. As he likes to say, turn your ‘enemies into your employees’. In this talk we went deep into learning where our fears come from, why they actually help us, and how we can transform them to enrich our lives.
Where does true creative inspiration come from and how do we invite it in? In this episode Amisha sits down with creative catalyst, musician and mischief-maker Jamie Catto. Jamie seeks to serve as a ‘walking permission slip' for people he meets, giving permission for himself and others to express themselves more fully and authentically in the world. Together he and Amisha discuss the roots of suffering and melodrama in our lives, the influence of the patriarchy and how listening holds the key to all that we seek. We hear Jamie's perspective on the treasures that can be found in the painful experiences of life and how to use our suffering sustainably. He speaks candidly about his experiences of panic attacks, death and suicide, lets us in on his relationship to creativity and the muse and reveals where the true genius ideas come from. “Think of [creativity] as a unicorn. People so want to make money out of their creativity. You end up saddling your unicorn like a donkey to carry your self esteem issues up a hill and it is not its job.” ~ Jamie Catto Links from this episode and more at www.thefutureisbeautiful.co
Jamie Catto joins the podcast to talk about how we can transform our suffering with spiritual practice and a change of perspective.

R & D with Jamie Catto, film-maker best known for his iconic “One Giant Leap” global consciousness film. We enter into exploration of JC’s transformative films, workshops and lifestyle, which we trust will move listeners to check out his movies, so they too can create for themselves a quantum leap of awareness. Compelling conversation, definite food for thought...
A polite warning; prolonged exposure to Jamie Catto could blow your mind.… as seen recently in The Sunday Times Style magazine, Jamie Catto is the creative catalyst, producer and director behind the global philosophy and music project ‘1 Giant Leap’ (The first 1 Giant Leap was nominated for 2 Grammys in 2003, sold over 300 thousand albums, and won numerous awards globally.) The new movie and album, ‘What About Me?’ released in 2009, has recently won the Grand Jury Prize for Best Documentary at Red Rock Film Festival ... A musician and filmmaker, Jamie was a founding member of Faithless – the most successful name in dance music in recent decades, but is perhaps best loved for his landmark music and film project 1 Giant Leap. Exploring “the predicament of being human,” he and Duncan Bridgeman travelled the world recording the finest musicians and interviewing thought-leaders from different cultures, revealing “the unity within the diversity.” Combining his experience from projects such as 1 Giant Leap with a passion for personal evolution, Jamie began delivering workshops last year in places ranging from Devon to Berlin, Seattle to Thailand. “I think we’re living in a world where we’ve all agreed a massive compromise through the pursuit of approval,” Jamie says. “We get addicted to the ‘crack’ of approval very early on in life. Because of this, we edit ourselves incrementally until we’re these crippled 30% versions of ourselves.
Jamie Catto is the creative catalyst behind the popular philosophy/music/film project 1 Giant Leap and the author of the Sounds True music program Internal (with Alex Forster). In this episode of Insights at the Edge, Tami and Jamie discuss how to tune into our woundedness as a gateway to creativity, how our shadow material can become our life's “rocket fuel,” the meaning of Jamie's “Creativity Manifesto,” and much more. Plus you'll hear samples of three new tracks from Internal. (63 minutes)
