Welcome to OneTribe church Nairobi. Here you will find messages from past and present series. Enjoy!
In a culture that shouts “I can do what I want,” this message confronts the lie that freedom means being unrestrained — and offers something deeper, truer, and more beautiful.Drawing from 1 Corinthians 6:12–20, we explore God's design for our bodies: not as instruments of indulgence, but as vessels of purpose, beauty, and belonging.Whether you've wrestled with sexual shame, identity, or simply wonder how your physical body fits into your spiritual life — this message is for you.Because of Jesus:Your body has a better purposeYour body is part of something beautifulYour body belongs in a better storyYour body is not your own — and that's good news.
“Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.” - 1 Peter 1:8-9
Hope isn't the absence of trials — it's the presence of something deeper.Scriptures we're exploring:1 Peter 1:3-9 | Ephesians 2:8-9 | Romans 8:18-25 | Hebrews 6:19⠀⠀This week, we're leaning into a surprising kind of hope — one that's rooted in mercy, not performance… one that endures through hardship… one that lifts our eyes beyond the temporary.⠀⠀What if your current struggle isn't just something to escape, but something God is using to refine your faith? What if the weight you're carrying has an expiration date — and a purpose? Let's talk hope, trials, and the joy that refuses to quit.

Prayer is more than just words it's an intimate connection with our Father in heaven. When the disciples asked Jesus to teach them how to pray, He didn't give them a formula but a blueprint for a relationship. In this message, we explore Luke 11:1-4 and Matthew 6:5-15, uncovering what it truly means to pray as sons and daughters of God. Why did Jesus emphasize calling God Father? What makes prayer powerful, personal, and transformational?
The church is like a cell with life that multiplies itself.

Why are we here?❤️ To love and worship God
The whole congregation, and each individual Christian, should see their prayer as an extension of the prayer of Christ. Through them, Christ is present and active in the world, and they are called to bring the reality of Christ's intercession to others. Our prayers become the prayer of Christ for others, thus making the reality of His presence tangible. Dietrich Bonhoeffer

A healthy church is not a church that's perfect and without sin. It has not figured everything out. Rather, it's a church that continually strives to take God's side in the battle against the ungodly desires and deceits of the world, our flesh, and the devil. It's a church that continually seeks to conform itself to God's Word. We are called to love Jesus and His church, recognizing its role as a place of belonging and spiritual growth.

In the past, God spoke to our ancestors many times and in many ways through the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us through his Son. Hebrews 1:1-2
The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. - Col. 1:15-20

If you aim for Jesus when you read the scriptures, you get yourself thrown in; if you aim for yourself you get neither.
This sermon explores the protoevangelium, the first announcement of the good news found in Genesis 3:15. We delve into the promise that the seed of the woman will crush the serpent's head, signifying Jesus' ultimate victory over evil. As we embark on this new series, we aim to see Jesus in the scriptures, come to him for life, and point others to him. Evil Will Be Undone: Despite humanity's disobedience, God promises to intervene and overcome evil through the seed of the woman, ultimately fulfilled in Jesus. Victory Over Evil Comes at a Great Personal Sacrifice: The seed of the woman will suffer in the process of crushing the serpent's head, a theme seen throughout scripture and culminating in Jesus' crucifixion. The Thread of the Seed: The promise of the seed runs through the entire story of scripture, tracing genealogies from Seth to Noah to Shem to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, leading to Jesus. To be loved but not known is comforting but superficial. To be known and not loved is our greatest fear. But to be fully known and truly loved is, well, a lot like being loved by God. It is what we need more than anything. Timothy Keller
