The Corona Virus has rocked many of our lives, so I hope you are washing your hands, staying inside, drinking your water, and hopefully, you have checked on all your people. That's what I've been up to, hence why this took a week and a half to get out. I did want to share this episode and let y'all know, this may be the last episode for a bit. We all are just playing it by ear at this point, but I love y'all this has been a great fourth season, and I will be back as soon as I can with more amazing guests, do not fret.In the meantime, I did want to give you one parting episode and guess what, it's all about great music and two great shows that you can watch during this time of social distancing. Also, it's with one of my favorite people and podcast host, Christina Utley. Christina runs a podcast called Recaps and Receipts (Apple & Spotify) all about the first episodes of tv shows you should be watching, so go check that out.Today's featured shows and albums are:Hoax by Kevin Garrett (Apple & Spotify)Black Cat Neighborhood by Fallulah (Apple & Spotify)On My Block (a new season just dropped on Netflix so you're welcome!)Please Like MeLet us know if you love these shows or albums too and what you are watching listening to during this small bit of isolation. Go check out Christina's personal writing on her Instagram and her blog Christina from the Midwest as well. This episode didn't have my usual Eyes, Ears, Heart section, but do not fear here they are!Eyes: I just finished the Brene Brown special, The Call to Courage, and if you haven't seen it yet on Netflix, I NEED YOU TO FIX YOUR LIFE! It is so good, and also is very connect to this topic.Ears: This month I have a whole new playlist for y'all! I am literally in love with all the new R&B that is coming out this year so here is another playlist with my favorites on it like Ari Lennox and Lucky Daye.Heart: Vulnerability and putting myself out there have obviously been something I am studying and unpacking so they have been heavy on my heart but also the way women's reproductive health is being controlled and politicized is so absurd right now. People shouldn't be policing peoples bodies and if you are going to be pro-life there needs to be some consistency so when you see schools getting shot up and police brutality you cannot be silent and say you are pro-life. We need to make the world safer all around and eliminating something that will happen regardless is not only cruel but shows the lack of concern you have for peoples lives.I hope you have an amazing week and I cant wait to hear what you thought of the episode.
