Welcome to The Daily, where we study the Bible verse by verse, chapter by chapter, every day. And today's shout-out goes to Jay T Patterson from Verona, MO. Jay, thank you for standing with us through Project23. Your support helps deliver healing to people. This one's for you. Our text today is Mark 5:25-29: And a great crowd followed him and thronged about him. And there was a woman who had had a discharge of blood for twelve years, and who had suffered much under many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was no better but rather grew worse. She had heard the reports about Jesus and came up behind him in the crowd and touched his garment. For she said, “If I touch even his garments, I will be made well.” And immediately the flow of blood dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of her disease. — Mark 5:25-29 As Jesus walks with Jairus toward a dying daughter, another story unfolds in the crowd. A woman. Unnamed. Unnoticed. Twelve years of bleeding. Twelve years of suffering. Twelve years of disappointment. Twelve years of uncleanliness. She's spent everything she had—physically, financially, emotionally—and she's only gotten worse. By every account, she should have stayed home. She was considered physically and spiritually unclean. She wasn't supposed to be there. But faith doesn't wait for permission. She pushes through the crowd. Quietly. Carefully. She doesn't shout. She doesn't stop Jesus. She reaches out, thinking: “If I touch even his garments, I will be made well.” And in that moment—she is. The bleeding stops. The suffering ends. The healing begins. That's the power of quiet faith. It's not always loud or public. It doesn't always make headlines or draw attention. But it moves. It reaches. It touches Jesus. And Jesus responds. Sometimes, all you've got left—is a reach. But if you reach for the right One, that's all you'll ever need. What if the issue you're facing isn't about trying harder. But finally, reaching for Jesus? #FaithThatHeals, #TouchOfJesus, #Mark52529 ASK THIS: What have you been suffering with in silence? How have you reached for Jesus in your pain? What keeps you from pushing through the crowd today? Do you believe Jesus can respond to quiet faith? DO THIS: Push past the fear or shame today—pray boldly and reach out to Jesus with that one issue you've been hiding. PRAY THIS: Jesus, I come quietly but boldly, reaching for You with the pain I've carried far too long. Heal what doctors and efforts cannot—touch my life with Your power. Amen. PLAY THIS: “He Knows My Name” by Tasha Cobbs Leonard.

It Is Done | Christ's Victory, Our Hope – Stand Firm in Grace“It is done.” These powerful words spoken by Jesus Christ declare the fulfillment of God's redemptive plan—a victory over sin, death, and separation. In this week's Worship and the Word from Gospel Garage, we celebrate the risen Savior whose sacrifice on the cross reconciles us to God and invites us into eternal life through grace.Through the lens of Revelation 16:17-18, we witness the finality and triumph of God's justice. John 14:23-26 reveals the comforting presence of the Holy Spirit, guiding us into truth. 2 Peter 2:1 warns us to stay grounded in the Word, while Galatians 6:7 reminds us that we reap what we sow—let it be seeds of faith. And in 2 Corinthians 5:14-15, we're called to live not for ourselves, but for Him who died and rose again for us.

*This episode mentions suicide and may not be suitable for all listeners.* This week, we’ll hear from BeBe Winans, a celebrated figure in gospel and R&B music from the renowned Winans family, known for their deep-rooted musical legacy. Raised in a household steeped in gospel traditions and surrounded by the influences of Motown, Bebe experienced some of the ups and downs of the music scene as he and his sister, CeCe Winans, ultimately rose to fame as a beloved singing duo. Later in the episode, we’ll hear from Tasha Cobbs Leonard, a powerful worship leader, pastor, and entrepreneur. Raised in a faith-filled family, Tasha was encouraged by her father, a pastor, to embrace her gifts. A “divine setup” led to her first album, and she went on to inspire millions with songs like "Break Every Chain," which grew from her own battle with depression. All these years she had known that God had given her, her husband Jehoiada the high priest of the temple. The palace had been in uproar when she had chosen to marry below her station. Being a princess she had been expected to marry a prince or a King. But, Jehosheba had always felt that the palace was not the place for her. She felt closest to her God when she was worshiping at the temple. The connection she felt strengthened her soul. With her mind twirling with thoughts, she walked Adina to the extra bedroom and put her on the bed to sleep. She rang the bell and asked Hila to bring Adina a hot calming drink. Seeing her friend's fluttering eye lids, Jehosheba walked out the room and took a deep breath. The royal family was no more. Had Athaliah killed the wives and concubines that lived it he palace? Had she killed Ahaziahs wife Zibiah?  Then like a lightning a name came into her mind. Baby Joash! Athalia had killed baby Joash! She gasped for breath and leaned onto the pillar of the temple. Her mind raced. What if the soldier's hadn't gotten there yet? What if there was a chance? She had to do something! Her heart trembled at the thought of facing Athaliah. She wiped the little wet droplets on her forehead. Why must she be afraid? She was no longer a young girl hidden in the shadows watching helplessly from her bedroom balcony as young girls were taken to be sacrificed to Baal. She was a woman now and she had her God. The God her mother had showed her. Her mother had been one of the concubines of her father but a God fearing woman. She had died from a sickness when Jehosheba was younger. How she missed her. The last time they had been together, her mother had prayed over her. The throne room was ivory in colour with elaborate carved pillars and shinny marble floors. Rugs of different colours and patterns adorned various part of the room and thick expensive drapery of purple and blue adorned the ceilings and hung to add elegance. The room was bright with lights illuminating from every corner and people dressed in their finest met her gaze and bowed as she walked down the pathway toward the throne. Music played as dancers twirled in one section of the room. The whole ambience made her feel warm and welcomed. Her eyes fell on the impressive figure ahead sitting on his throne. His elaborate tunic of blue with gold rips on the collar and hem glistered in the sunlight. His red cape was clasped with a golden brooch with the head of lion. His crown was short but adorned with jewels and his beard was trimmed neatly. He smiled at her and she smiled back. His eyes spoke kindness. When she arrived at his feet, she bowed low and watched as Jaleel inclined his head and kept in there reverently. Her maids had been escorted to another side of the room away from the throne. She almost gasped as the king stood up and towered over her. His physic impressive. He bowed and grinned. “Your highness Zaria of Sheba, welcome to Jerusalem. I am humble to have the honour of your presence.” He inclined his head again. Being anointed is often be seen as synonymous with a platform or a feeling you have after experiencing someone gifted, but it's much more than that. I got to have an amazing conversation with EJ Gaines about being anointed for business, and let's be clear...EJ IS an anointed businessman. Erik Justin (“EJ”) Gaines is the Senior Vice President of Marketing at Capitol CMG and Co-Executive Director of Motown Gospel, divisions of Capitol Records/Universal Music Group. An entertainment lawyer and former artist manager with 20 years of experience in the music business, EJ Gaines has guided the careers of GRAMMY Award-winning recording artists, producers and songwriters, as well as producers and talent in film and television. In his current role as Senior VP of Marketing, Capitol CMG/Co-Executive Director of Motown Gospel, EJ Gaines oversees marketing and commercial partnerships for over a dozen artists on the roster of the world's largest Christian music label, including Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Jeremy Camp, Newsboys, Tye Tribbett and Brian Courtney Wilson. Most recently, he oversaw the marketing campaigns for Harry Connick Jr.‘s award-winning project, 'Alone With My Faith', Tori Kelly's GRAMMY-winning 'Hiding Place', and Tasha Cobbs Leonard's acclaimed 'Royalty: Live at The Ryman'. In this episode, EJ dived into: How EJ prevents himself from wrapping his identity into his job The role his faith plays in how he operates in the music industry EJ's definition of anointed Why he believes he's anointed to do the work he does How embracing his anointing changed how he views his work How he prevents his career and purpose from overshadowing his relationship with God and the time he spends with Him Check out the show notes for this episode here: https://pavielle.com/116  Want to ask a follow up question to the episode? Hi Family! Welcome back to a new season of the podcast. On today's episode we are kicking off season FIVE with the incomparable and uber talented Tasha Cobbs Leonard. I'm excited to jump into today's interview and topic at hand. I'm sure you've seen or heard the phrase BossBabe or GirlBoss. Women are using the tags on photos that demonstrate their professional or personal strength, fearlessness, successes, and ambition, and desire to lift up others in the process. But something about those titles and ethos rubbed me the wrong way. It seems that by having to identify ourselves as GIRLBOSS and shouting our girl-ness and boss-ness from the hashtag rooftops that we're overcompensating for something – why not just show your success by being a good boss. Tasha could use the hashtag all day everyday of BossBabe, but instead she uses her entrepreneurial, pastoral, and creative prowess to SHOW not tell. I can't wait for you to get to know and love this beautiful and talented woman of God. Take notes and quotes and tag us @BiancaOlthoff and @TashaCobbsLeonard on social media so we can repost your learnings. I love when our guests know the impact they are having! I can't wait to see what you're learning and loving about this series. Love you, ??
