Welcome back everyone! I am so happy to be back with another episode in The Laura Strong Mom Podcast! It has been an amazing 2021 full of growth and learning in my journey! I also hope that this year brought a lot of peace, growth, and learning in your life too! The topic of this episode is: Forgiveness. This is definitely a challenging, yet vital topic in order to live a more peaceful and fulfilled life. Some key points from this episode include the following: · Resentment can arise when we don't choose forgiveness. I use the metaphor of “heavy chains” of pain and sorrow when describing how resentment felt for me in the past. · The irony of thinking forgiveness involves betrayal of ourselves and the relinquishment of our power. I found this as a false narrative in my journey and I explain reasons why. · I learned that forgiveness allows us to empower ourselves because we surrender things that no longer serve us. · Forgiveness is a sign of growth and freedom because we no longer are holding on to those “chains” of pain and sorrow through resentment. · I share my testimony and how I had a defining moment when I asked myself, “Who are you really living for? Them? Or Yourself?” I asked these questions to help me realize that using resentment as motivation was NOT sustainable or conducive towards having peace. · Forgiveness doesn't mean that we continue to tolerate our boundaries to be ignored. We can still forgive and set boundaries. · Forgiveness allows us to also seek the lesson rather than avoid responsibility for our own healing. · Forgiveness fosters self-awareness because we are applying the lessons learned through pain and sorrow. · Peace and growth are beneficial results from forgiveness. · Forgiving yourself and having grace with yourself is just as important as the same grace and forgiveness that you show others. Hello everyone! I am so glad to be back! I know it has been a while since the last episode, but I am so thankful to be back with this topic that is near and dear to my heart. It is HARD, but NOT impossible- I discuss how hard this program was with specific examples. 2. #75hard- How this hashtag on Instagram was super helpful for me to keep pushing through to complete the program. 3. Execution Over Emotions- How I pushed on and did every single task without compromise despite how I was feeling that day. 4.
