Degens Andy S and Brandon Bombay just got out after 28 days in lock up so they can talk about Sean Baker's Christmas classic, 'Tangerine.' To embody the freneticism of the film, Andy kicks things off with a story from his days of conducting illegal business at a Dunkin Donuts. Then the boys discuss a movie that originally gained buzz for being filmed entirely on an iPhone 5s, but quickly transcended that gimmick to become requisite degenerate holiday viewing. By using a mix of non-actors, unknowns, and a few adult film stars, the movie is able to not only nail the true inner-workings of streetwalkers, but also the day of an immigrant cab driver and other denizens of the Hollywood area. Starring two transgender performers who navigate their neighborhood with manic propulsion, Baker's movie stops for countless comedic moments that are snapshots into the lives of the marginalized people who occupy this area. The opening dialogue starts with "Merry Christmas, bitch," and the closing shot touchingly ends with an image that embodies the true spirit of the holidays.

Casper Police Department responded to a call for service regarding a disturbance. Officers spoke with the victim on scene, who made allegations that she was the victim of domestic violence. Officers attempted to make contact with the suspect, 26-year-old Trae Spurlock. The victim needed to re-enter the residence and officers accompanied her. Spurlock was sitting on the balcony with his rifle on the ground. Officers attempted to negotiate with Spurlock to step off the balcony and away from the rifle. Spurlock was being placed under arrest for domestic assault when he attempted to exit the balcony door towards the rifle. A taser was deployed but it failed; an officer fired seven rounds from his sidearm and struck Spurlock six times. He was later pronounced dead. Justin from Donut Shop podcasts teams up with former police officer Eric Tansey to breakdown this deadly use of force encounter. Season 03 : The American Southwest Episode 07 : Donut Shop Murders : Multiple States Small businesses are the backbone of the American economy. They fill the needs that some of the larger businesses can't meet, offering niche products or services in remote locations. These smaller shops can operate in less populated areas making them more attractive to criminals who are looking for a quick score. Many small businesses do their best to provide security to their employees using cameras and security systems, but at the end of the day, employees are told to just hand over the cash in the event of a robbery. Sometimes though, the employee is what is stolen.Check us out on YouTube at: https://www.youtube.com/c/SomewhereSinisterFollow us on social media:https://twitter.com/SomewhereSinhttps://www.instagram.com/somewheresinister/You can support us by donating a few bucks here:https://www.buymeacoffee.com/somewheresin

The podcast roars back with a belated celebration of everyone's favorite Donut-related fake holiday: National Donut Day. No donut-themed podcast would be complete without Glaze himself, the donut-named, self-proclaimed prince of donut town. Luckily this podcast does feature Glaze, and it also includes about a baker's half-dozen original "songs" about donuts. At some point Pete starts talking in a strange way about celebrity deaths and I left that in the podcast as well.

I spoke to Ian about how they started, how they built their business from a pop-up tent to a food trailer to opening up 2 locations (UCF and the Milk District). We spoke about his journey from culinary school to getting into BBQ. We talked about building their brand and how he started it with both of them having full-time jobs. We talked about the time-consuming process of smoking meats and BBQ. Adam and Dr. Drew open the show discussing Alex Berenson recently being reinstated to Twitter which quickly leads to his work from years past on marijuana and how his predictions are proving true today. They also discuss Gavin Newsom's proclamations that're now being viewed as wildly hypocritical as he himself publicly ignores them. They also speak to a caller who wants their opinions on Newsom's ads that he ran in Florida. As the show wraps up they cicle back to Alex Berenson's tweet that got him kicked off twitter and discuss the idea of what most people think when they hear 'vaccine' versus what it technically means from a medical standpoint. Led by a psychopathic patriarch and his cunning son-in-law, this Texas clan roamed the country robbing, kidnapping, and killing up to 20 people, most of them taken from donut shops. “Families Who Kill: The Donut Shop Murders” recounts the wild and deeply disturbing story of an unhinged American family and the terrible brutality they unleashed.
