On this week's episode of The WON Podcast, I am joined by Nebula, arriving amidst the hype of his new EP, Isolationship Demos. Utilising his flair and skill with the pen and pad, Nebula is a rapper from the town seemingly full of creatives, Bedford, aspiring to put the town on the map in line elevating his music to new heights. Nebula has been writing and releasing music for the past 6 years, which has seen him drop several projects along the way, and more recently, Isolationship Demos, which sees Nebula switch up his style, exploring textures and layers within the production, whilst adding more personal insights surrounding the theme of the EP. Alongside his solo catalogue, Nebula is also not shying away from collaborating. Evident with the collective Tomb Raiders, Nebula has worked with the collective whilst residing in Nottingham, which has seen him perform and release songs with other artists within the group, whilst also working with artists from his hometown, Bedford, not conforming to a specific sound, and featuring on many subgenres within rap. Listen on to hear us speak all about the above, an experience with Cardi B and his time in the USA, what the future holds for Nebula and an exclusive listen to Nebula's new track, Small Talk. On this week's episode of The WON Podcast, catch me speaking to Singer, Songwriter, Producer, Elijah Miller. Fresh off the release of his latest EP, 'The Sugar Rush', Elijah has dropped some new music for the first time in a long while, and this is what we'll be discussing on today's episode, the new EP and the process behind it, what we can look forward to in the future, and an experience with Bon Iver that did not go to plan. Finding major success with his 2018 single, 'Alfred Benson', which has amassed over 300,000 streams on Spotify alone, Elijah has used that success to open more opportunities for himself, and constantly finding ways to perfect his sound, which can be described as, especially on the latest EP, having an acoustic tone to it, whilst reflecting on detailed perspectives and anecdotes. Hailing from Bedford, Elijah is also aware of other talents within the town, also touching on how Bedford has the potential to create it's own scene and how these other creatives and artists have the chance in today's age to create an impact within their hometown. So, listen on to hear us speak about all of the above and much more, including a surprise on where Elijah is hoping to take his sound in the near future, and for a chance to listen to a brand new track from 'The Sugar Rush' EP, 'There's Something Sacred About Soho'. This week's episode sees me speaking to up and coming singer/songwriter, Lily Agnès. Switching between London and Bedford, Lily has been writing songs for many years, and even taken it a step further by diving deeper into the writing realm by studying songwriting at The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance to really elaborate on her craft. With just the one official release, Lily has been focusing on fine tuning and perfecting her soon to released music, with even giving us a sneak peek at a new song, 'Boys Don't Cry', in this episode. Taking inspiration from her influences, Lily is looking to blend the styles of the traditional singer-songwriter sound alongside soul and indie folk. We also discuss where she believes her sound can venture into the future, and how she plans to expand it. So listen on to hear us talk about her music and future releases, what she has been working on in the past and at the moment, the transition from Bedford to London and much much more, whilst having a chance to listen to a snippet of her new song, 'Boys Don't Cry'.
