THE AFTER PARTY IS BACK. And on this one we feature the new girls of Cincy Street. They tell about their bartending journey to Cincy Street, give us their latest relationship tea and our boy Gee asks them some crazy questions! Follow us on social media @AaronScenesAfterParty
Angel "Julito" Diaz grew up on Creston Avenue in the North Bronx — the youngest of six kids, watching his mother run the block before he ever touched a drug. By the time he was 12 he was selling crack after school. By the time he was a young man he was running his own operation — hundreds of pounds of their signature Mango Piña weed a week — eventually becoming the shot caller of the infamous Creston Avenue Crew whose takedown became one of the most notorious drug cases in Bronx history. In this episode of Locked In with Ian Bick, Julito tells the complete story — the story that Reggaeton star De La Ghetto portrayed on Netflix's El Ganador. Nicky Jam and Daddy Yankee were part of his Bronx operation before they were famous. He opens up about the betrayal from his own childhood friend who put out a murder contract on his life, the robbery case that sent him to state prison, and the federal case that gave him 17 years total. When 22 people around him cooperated with the government — Angel kept his mouth shut. He served 11 years and never snitched on anyone. _____________________________________________ #prisonlife #BronxStory #TrueCrime _____________________________________________ Thank You To CASH APP & RAYCON For Sponsoring This Episode: Cash App: Download Cash App Today: https://click.cash.app/ui6m/6pao71et #CashAppPod Cash App is a financial services platform, not a bank. Welcome to the Gnar Couch Podshow, where mountain biking meets middle school humor, and none of our intros ever go according to plan—thanks in advance, Rob. This week, we welcome the one and only April Zastrow to the show: former pro motocross racer, mountain biking content creator, surfer, and the kind of human we'd totally trust around our children, if we weren't such bad influences ourselves. We saddle up and ride through April's “mutt life” of action sports, her journey from nearly getting lapped in pro moto to inspiring future shredders (including Rob's daughter), and why bigger jumps aren't as scary as small ones. We also plunge into the gnarly reality of being a woman in the MTB world, how she handles haters (spoiler: better than JP handles whiskey and the Old Rampate Site), and the science of bike squeaks, especially when Ryan Rodriguez is nearby. Of course, things get off track: there's talk of “dump trucks,” debates over whether Rob can leave his house without spilling beer, and our patented EXT/TRP appreciation rant. If you love deep dives into gear AND deep dives into our own self-esteem issues, you're in the right spot. If not, just stick around for the part where we try to figure out if May June is a better name than April. So tune in for bikes, bad jokes, a little self-deprecation, and a solid chance you'll hear something about mayonnaise, wieners, or at least a brake lever pulled with someone's pinky. It's the Gnar Couch Podshow. Cumb for the chaos, stay for the dumb, and leave with fewer brain cells than you started. Guest info: April Zastrow Check out our store for sick shirts. Got to our Patreon and give us money. We've added old episodes, downloadable songs, and give you early access to raw, uncut shows for only $4.20/month. We all ride TRP brakes. They're the best. In this episode of our podcast, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Carlos Hernandez, a talented bilingual comedian and musician, who has been making waves in the South Florida entertainment scene. We kicked off the conversation with some light banter about my music duo, Oro Fresco, which recently earned the title of Miami New Times Best Latin Act for 2024. I shared insights about his unique sound, blending genres like Dembow, Reggaeton, and jungle music, and even teased us with a snippet of his song "Nubes." As we transitioned into deeper topics, we discussed the realities of aging and the physical challenges that come with it. Carlos, at 31, reflected on how he started feeling the effects of aging, while I shared my own experiences of turning 40 and the unexpected aches and pains that come with it. We both agreed on the importance of maintaining a positive mindset and staying active, even as we joked about the struggles of getting older. The conversation then shifted to our journeys in comedy. Carlos recounted his early days in improv, inspired by iconic shows like "The Office" and comedians such as Steve Carell and Louis CK. He explained how he transitioned from a stable job in cybersecurity to pursuing comedy full-time, emphasizing the importance of believing in oneself and taking risks. We discussed the challenges of performing outside of Miami, where audiences may not be as familiar with his material, and the necessity of adapting to different crowds. Throughout the episode, we touched on the behind-the-scenes work that goes into comedy—how comedians constantly refine their material, deal with self-criticism, and navigate the pressures of performing. Carlos shared his experiences of performing alongside comedy legends in New York, highlighting moments that made him pinch himself in disbelief. This episode is a celebration of creativity, resilience, and the vibrant comedy scene in South Florida. Carlos's journey is a testament to the power of passion and hard work, and I hope our listeners find inspiration in his story as much as I did. Tune in for an engaging conversation filled with laughter, insights, and a glimpse into the life of a rising star in the comedy world.

“My biggest Pivot is when I set out to do something and people doubt me. I like to have my back against the wall, that's something that makes me.” Norega What happens when a rap legend trades the stage for the mic, and then turns that mic into a cultural movement? Ryan, Channing and Fred sit down with N.O.R.E.—once frontman of the Queens duo Capone‑N‑Noreaga, still a platinum-selling solo act, and now one of hip-hop's most trusted voices behind the mic. We get to know N.O.R.E behind the fame and see him as the family man who loves being a grandpa, building wealth with his wife, who wakes up at 4am to embark on training for the NYC marathon, the guy in the group chat who is always motivating you and the friend who reaches out just to check in. In this wide-ranging conversation, we cover his journey through music, from his early days in Queens, going from jail to how meeting NAS changed his entire perspective on life to being one of the originals to boast Reggaeton to shifting into podcasting, co-founding the hit show Drink Champs with DJ EFN to becoming constant presence in hip hop culture. He takes the guys behind-the-scenes of hip-hop's biggest names, the compliment from 50 Cent that impacted his legacy to Kanye West naming his first child after him to the unexpected collaborations to the “you wouldn't believe” stories to his regret with Michael Jordan and how he's continuing to shape culture in a forever changing society. N.O.R.E shares how he developed a "whatever it takes" mentality to stay relevant as he's seen the culture he's helped build evolve three times over—on the mic, in the studio, in media. This episode is filled with raw energy, unfiltered truths, sharp humor, and the kind of storytelling only someone who's lived it can deliver. Whether you grew up riding the “Super Thug” beat or you're discovering N.O.R.E.'s impact for the first time, this episode is a bridge—between then & now, between rap and media, between the grind and the growth and where we are headed next. Tune in for a conversation that reminds us- a pivot isn't just a change—it's a choice and a continuous movement of evolution. And when you've seen it all, it's what you do next that counts. Reggaeton is full of myths and legends, but this story is true: El General arrived in Brooklyn in the mid-80s and began performing in the dancehall scene, which was booming. He began working with Jamaican producers who were recording and promoting Panamanian artists. Around the same time, a Spanish-language hip-hop revolution was also taking place, as mixtapes flew back and forth between NYC and Puerto Rico. New York became the crossroad that made Reggaeton possible. Listen to a special episode from our own Futuro Studios hit show LOUD: The History of Reggaeton hosted by Ivy Queen.
