Having the ambitious wish to propel the entire world into a melodic vortex, Marquis of Vaudeville emits an extraordinary sound that spirals listeners on an utterly imaginative, musical merry-go-round. One never knows what moodswung journey they’ll embark upon once these musical highwaymen hijack their consciousness. With imagination at its core, the theatrical flair and intriguing nature of their songwriting has grasped the attention of music lovers from the most critical of music elitists to the average radio listener. Although performing frequently at festivals and pop culture fandom, goth/horror, & steampunk conventions, the musical menagerie is widely known for their own extravagant Vaudevillian inspired sold-out spectacles such as 'A Clockwork Wonderland: Through Aether & Mysterium' (whose live video for 'Utopian Playland' won 'Best Performance Video' at Radio KSCR's Music Video Awards),MOV has composed and licensed music for a variety of film projects & television shows such as the syndicated series 'Charmed' & Showtime Network’s hit series 'Dexter'. They've also been featured in such publications as Alternative Press, Buzzfeed, Huffington Post, Race Point Publishing's book 'Anatomy of Steampunk' as well as 'Gearhearts Steampunk Glamor Revue'.

On the Geektown Radio podcast this I'm joined by the Matt from Entertainment Talk, to chat through the usual tv, film and gaming news, plus a look at the next week on tv. Additionally, we have an exclusive interview with 'Preacher's brilliant Costume Designer, Jill Ohanneson.Jill Ohanneson has been the costume designer on 'Preacher' since Season 2, so we had a chat with her about all the weird and wonderful garments she has got to create over her 3 Seasons on that drama. However, she is also was the original costume designer on a little show called 'Firefly', so as the creator of the "Browncoats", I really had to ask her about her work on that series. If that wasn't enough, she was also the costume designer for the original and iconic 'Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure'!In addition to those series and movies, Jill has worked on ABC’s 'Revenge', Showtime’s 'Dexter', HBO’s 'Six Feet Under', and many many other shows. Her latest project, which we also touch on in the interview, is Ronald D. Moore’s alt-history space drama for Apple TV+, 'For All Mankind'. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

We're back to a normal show this week after the craziness of not one but two Comic-Cons over the last couple of weekends! I'm joined by the lovely Bex Trista of TristaBytes again to chat tv, film and gaming, plus we have 2 interviews this week - The first is with 'Riverdale' star Lochlyn Munro, aka Betty's dad Hal, and the second is with 'Lucifer' star Aimee Garcia, aka loveable lab geek, Ella Lopez.Whilst most #LuciFans will know Aimee Garcia as Ella Lopez, LAPD's relentlessly upbeat forensic scientist in 'Lucifer', she is also extremely well known for playing Jamie, younger sister to Angel Batista in 'Dexter' and nanny to the serial killer's child. She's also popped up in a multitude of shows including 'Hawaii Five-0', 'Bones', 'Supernatural', nearly all the 'CSI's' and 'Family Guy'.Lochlyn Munro stars in 'Riverdale' as Betty's father Hal, who had an extremely interesting storyline this season (I won't go into any detail in case you've not watched it yet!) On tv, he played Jack Sheridan in 'Charmed', and has popped up in a huge number of shows such as 'Arrow', 'Bones', 'Supernatural', 'Smallville', and 'Lucifer'. On film, he's appeared in 'A Night at the Roxbury', 'White Chicks', 'Unforgiven', 'Freddy vs. Jason', and can soon be seen in 'The Predator', the fourth Predator movie due in UK cinemas on 14th September 2018.Also On This Week's Show:Bex joins me in the co-host so we chat about tv shows and films we've been watching since she was last on. We take a look at all the latest tv & film news, including the latest renewals & cancellations, ‘The Walking Dead’ cast turnover, casting news in general, and Bryan Fuller's status as the Littlest Hobo of the showrunner world. We're back, and once again Geektown is chatting with some of the best composers working in US film & TV right now. Last week I got to have a video chat with composer Dan Licht, the man behind the music of serial killer tv show 'Dexter', medical drama 'Body of Proof' and also provided additional music for 'The Blacklist. Dan has also worked on a number of films, including  'Children of the Corn II' and 'Hellraiser: Bloodline', along with video games such as the 'Silent Hill' franchise, and the excellent 'Dishonored'. Over a long and varied career, Dan has travelled the world collecting weird and wonderful instruments, as well as finding new and interesting ways to play more traditional ones! He's recently completed the Soundtrack Album for Dexter Season 8, and is currently working on the second season of The Red Road, starring Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones, Stargate: Atlantis) For more about Dan and his music, click here.
