Stranger Things Series Finale: Episode 378 - It all comes down to this. On this episode of Normies Like Us, we're heading back to Hawkins one last time to talk about the final stretch of Season 5 and the series finale of Stranger Things. The bikes are parked, the gates are closing, and a show that defined a decade of genre TV has officially come to an end. We dig into the biggest moments from the last part of the season, the emotional hits, the character send-offs, and whether the finale delivered on all those years of buildup. Who stuck the landing? Which arcs paid off? What surprised us, disappointed us, or completely wrecked us? We break down the themes, the nostalgia, the horror, and the spectacle—without pretending we aren't a little sad to leave this world behind. Did Stranger Things finish strong? Did it give the Party the ending they deserved? And where does the whole series land now that the Upside Down is (finally) behind us? Light the Christmas lights one more time and join Normies Like Us as we say goodbye to Hawkins.
Jenn talks about the True Blood series finale... no spoilers (even though the show came out years ago lol), but she does reveal some real life info on the actors that she's super happy about.

The guys are back to react to the latest teaser trailer for Avengers Doomsday that gives us our first look at the return of the X-Men. Find out why the guys think that showcasing Cyclops isn't merely just to show a cool shot but to show that Cyclops will be a central figure this time around, whether we could see Master Mold/Sentinels when the next X-Men films come around, the weirdness of the ongoing leaks of the Avengers Doomsday teasers, and more. Plus, the guys dive into the final episode of Stranger Things, were they plot holes or just story choices? Was the lack of a definitve more of a detriment or a cool homage to the shows DnD roots? The guys discuss those aspects, what worked for them, what was lackluster for them, and more. Then before they close out the show they get some surprising breaking news about The Batman Part 2. 2026 is almost here and here at Comicast a new year usually means a new predictions issue of the podcast but this year we want to know what questions you may have for Jong and Michael. Welcome to the series finale of Supernatural Music Extravaganza! In this episode, the Denim Wrapped Nightmares and In Defense of Fandom crews tackle the eternal question: "Why does my Supernatural sound different on {insert name of streaming platform}?!" Spoiler alert: blame capitalism! The hosts explain the wild world of music licensing, from the show's early "oops, we only bought DVD rights" days to the later "give us your songs FOREVER" era. Turns out those iconic needle drops cost serious upfront cash, which is why Season 1 Dean might be rocking out to "Generic Rock Song #4" instead of AC/DC. RIP original soundtrack, we hardly knew ye (unless you own the DVD).Featuring insights from Jensen Ackles on budget woes, a deep dive into why physical media matters, and heartfelt tributes to favorite Supernatural needle drops—from "Heat of the Moment" torture to Bob Seger brotherhood feels. Stranger Things has been a staple of Netflix for almost a decade. While the show has had its ups and downs, it is impossible not to mention it as one of Netflix’s biggest hits. The fifth and final season was easily one of the anticipated events in Netflix’s history. The final episode of the series was over 2 hours long, which should allow it to tell the final story in the Stranger Things world effectively. It's the "Series Finale" of the beloved segment "Pull Your Card," where BT and Sal open up packs of 1988 Score baseball cards and challenge each other to guess the player's team. The stakes are high, and the competition is fierce, as the hosts try to remember the teams of jobbers like Fred Manrique and stars like Wally Backman (Mets). Sal gets off to a slow start and is devastated by misses on Jeff Reardon and Rick Dempsey (who turns out to be a Dodger in '88, not an Indian). But in a twist of luck, BT gets a run of repeat cards (Fred Manrique, Ozzie Virgil), sealing a spectacular comeback victory. The segment ends with BT crowned the "Back-to-Back-to-Back Champ," leaving Sal licking his wounds and questioning if Hof orchestrated a sabotage!
