Every generation is entrusted with a sacred responsibility: to pray for, train, and model faith in Jesus Christ for those coming behind. In today's episode of the MY Devotional Podcast, Dr. Michael Youssef turns to a sobering warning in Judges 2:10–11. Joshua's generation saw God's power firsthand and remained faithful—but after them arose a generation that “knew neither the LORD nor what he had done for Israel,” and spiritual drift turned into open rebellion. What happened? Dr. Youssef explains the danger of slow, subtle compromise—small concessions that seemed harmless at first, but eventually became the normal air the next generation breathed. When parents and leaders stopped telling the stories of God's deliverance and stopped modeling wholehearted devotion, their children became easy targets for the enemy's snares. Yet this message also carries hope. Just as God repeatedly rescued His people in Judges when they cried out to Him, He still meets repentant hearts today. Even in a culture that has largely turned its back on God, we can still pass the baton of victory—by returning to uncompromising faith and discipling the next generation with urgency. Prayer: Lord, show me how to lead my children well, that I might pass on a legacy of faith to the next generation. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen. “One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts” (Psalm 145:4). Learn more in Dr. Michael A. In this episode, Mark Gillmore reports from Uganda, where the gospel is breaking through long-standing religious strongholds and transforming lives. Through the testimonies of Pastor Michael and Pastor John, we see how God is raising up faithful men, establishing churches, and multiplying the truth across communities. Uganda is not just another mission field—it is a harvest field that is ready right now. Topics Discussed Pastor Michael's journey from religious compromise to biblical conviction The cost of standing for truth, including rejection and excommunication The early struggles of preaching the gospel in resistant religious environments The transformation of Uganda's spiritual landscape over the past 30 years Pastor John's vision for training men to plant churches and reach rural communities The multiplication model of ministry based on 2 Timothy 2:2 The role of radio ministry in reaching people trapped in false religion The importance of training local leaders in their own language and context The need to prioritize doctrinal clarity over mere religious activity The urgency of laborers entering a harvest that is already ripe Key Takeaways The harvest in Uganda is not future, it is present. God is already at work drawing people to Himself. Obedience to truth may come at a cost, but it is the pathway to real fruit. Gospel advance depends on training faithful men who will teach others also. Indigenous leadership is essential for lasting, multiplying ministry. Religious activity without truth leaves people lost. Clear gospel preaching is still needed. God uses simple, faithful efforts to break through even deeply rooted strongholds. There is a real and urgent opportunity to be part of what God is doing in Uganda today. Do you have a story of gospel advance or a burden for a specific people group? We'd love to hear it. Whether it's a few sentences or a detailed update, send it to gomission@theegeneration.org. GoMission, hosted by Mark Gillmore, is a monthly missions-focused program that introduces young people to the people, stories, and opportunities God is using around the world to build His church. In this episode of "In the Word, On the Go," Darryl Dash, author and pastor at Liberty Grace Church in Toronto, Canada, reminds us that God's plan has always been to pass along the gospel through ordinary people. Commenting on 2 Timothy 2:2, Darryl says, "Your life matters. Your simple, ordinary life can be used by God. The same message that's been given to you, pass along to someone else. God can use you." "In the Word, On the Go" is sponsored by the Christian Standard Bible (https://csbible.com/). Special Guest: Darryl Dash.
