Joining us this week on the Radicals & Revolutionaries Lab is Alexis Barad-Cutler, a writer, journalist, veteran of the children's publishing world, and founder of Not Safe For Mom Group. On this judgment-free platform, women can be honest about motherhood. Our host, Jillian Foster, speaks with Alexis about the reasons she first started the Not Safe For Mom Group and how, at one point, the portrayal of motherhood on social media warped her sense of self. This episode digs into that and more as Alexis shares what mothers in her group are most worried about, the importance of communication and support between partners, the implications of resentment, and more. Alexis' work and this conversation remind us that just because we believe we *can* do it on our own doesn't mean we need to do it on our own. Call your mom, people. Are you ready for some real talk? The kind that drops all facades and welcomes even the stuff that’s hard to talk about? But don’t worry, we’re throwing in some humor too, as we always do on the podcast! This month is a personally reflective month for Randi with her 40th bday just around the corner as well as some other monumental dates in her life. And with our upcoming retreat and live podcast event just around the corner, it felt like the time to go even deeper into conversations that move us to the next level. During October, we are stripping away the hesitation and the perfection and speaking from our hearts even more than ever. In this episode Randi reflects on the truths about getting older, observing the changes in her body, thought patterns, relationships and more. She also introduces the incredible interviews this month with three mamas who are challenging the predictable voices of motherhood: Founder of Not Safe for Mom Group, Alexis Barad Cutler, lifestyle expert, TV host and mompreneur, Pamela Pekerman and founder of Revolution Motherhood, Rachel Welch. These three women are uniquely different from one another, but their commitment to TRUTH aligns them as three of my favorite interviews of all time. Enjoy these episodes and let's dive deep into truth, soul-searching, and growth TOGETHER! Tune in!
