John and I continue reading and commentary on the old revolutionary text, Rule for Radicals.
Underneath the "cuddly" rhetoric of the Democatic Socialists there lurks admirers of some of the most evil men in history. And, says our guest Tal Fortgang of the Manhattan Institute, they are also poised to take control of the whole of the Democratic Party. There's also some hockey talk (USA! USA! USA!), the State of the Union and Gavin Newsom's SAT scores.

After Dark with Hosts Rob & Andrew – Radical politicians prioritize illegal immigrants over citizens, fueling fierce debate about voting rights, crime, and national sovereignty. Activist judges resist enforcement while lawmakers reshape policy. Supporters warn the nation risks weakened borders, compromised elections, and declining justice unless leaders defend laws and restore accountability now for future generations and stability...
From the beginning of Galileo's career, well before the publication of the Sidereus Nuncius, his contemporaries took pains to shape his reputation and fame. They were fully aware that their efforts would shape the course of his career; they also knew that they would profit from helping him. With Galileo's Fame: Science, Credibility, and Memory in the Seventeenth Century (U Pittsburgh Press, 2025), Anna-Luna Post offers a welcome new perspective on the volatile dynamic between early modern fame and science in Italy, shifting the focus from the recipient of fame to its brokers. Galileo's contemporaries knew his rise to fame was not a matter of course. Not only were his discoveries highly contested, he also was not the first to observe Jupiter's four largest moons. Yet, of the three men who did so between the summer of 1609 and the winter of 1610, Galileo is the only one who achieved both widespread fame and posthumous glory. Post convincingly argues that fame is, rather than the direct result of merit or extraordinary achievements, shaped through human intervention. Guest: Michael Vorenberg. To undercut radicals, Johnson followed Seward's advice to declare the insurrection ended by executive proclamation in 1866. Vorenberg notes this "official" peace ignored realities like the New Orleans massacre. Simultaneously, Senator Doolittle was misled by General Carlton regarding the mistreatment of the Navajo at Bosque Redondo during his peace commission tour.1880 GAR BUILDING
Guest Larry Behrens, Power the Future, joins to discuss latest announcement from EPA and Trump administration on de-regulations, policy reforms, and energy in the private sector. Discussion of energy demands, energy reserves, and inflation. Economy starts off strong in the new year with record low inflation and wage growth. Are we seeing the beginning of the "Golden age"? Government goes back into a partial shutdown over Homeland Security funding. How do we get out of it, and what will funding of ICE look like moving forward?
In a timely episode (hey, I planned it that way!) I'm sharing my conversation with Frida Berrigan, a peace activist and author, who shares her experiences growing up with activist parents, navigating tensions between parenting and activism, and raising her own children. We discuss the importance of engaging in activism while maintaining joy, the struggle of balancing multiple responsibilities, and the impact of ordinary acts in making a difference. Frida also emphasizes the significance of moral cheerfulness and acting within our capacity to contribute to positive change. As you'll hear in the podcast, Frida grew up in a family of famous peace activists and she wrote about her experience and how it inspired her own parenting decisions in the book It Runs in the Family: On Being Raised by Radicals and Growing into Rebellious Motherhood. You can also read her essays at WagingNonViolence.org and I recommend you start with her wonderful essay, Nuclear Weapons Ruined My Life (And I Wouldn't Have It Any Other Way).00:00 Welcome to the Tell Me It Will Be OK Podcast00:52 Introducing Frida Berrigan: Peace Activist and Author01:20 Frida's Family and Activism Background01:59 Parenting Through Activism02:46 Interview with Frida Berrigan Begins03:09 Frida's Children and Parenting Journey05:51 Balancing Caregiving and Activism07:27 Frida's Unique Upbringing and Education18:30 Navigating Tensions and Choices in Activism27:22 Parenting Decisions and Sharing Information29:47 Taking Action with Kids31:11 Impact of School Shootings32:11 Helping Refugee Families36:26 Balancing Effort and Outcome41:54 The Role of Ordinary Acts49:02 Moral Cheerfulness and Joy53:38 Accepting ImperfectionThanks for listening! In this episode of Purposely, I'm joined by Craig Pollard, Founder and CEO of Fundraising Radicals, to talk about what it really takes to build high value funding partnerships that actually last.Craig brings three decades of experience working alongside civil society organisations and funders in more than 100 countries. He's seen what works, what fails, and where organisations quietly undermine themselves in the pursuit of money. We talk about why high value fundraising is not about slick pitches or chasing the next grant round. It's deliberate. It's strategic. And it starts with being clear about your purpose and the role you want to play in the wider ecosystem.Craig shares his thinking on trust, alignment, and why the best partnerships are built on shared values rather than financial need. We explore what it means to design for long term value instead of short term wins, and why uncomfortable conversations are often part of building something stronger. There's also a challenge here for leaders and trustees. Are you clear on what “enough” looks like? Are you building partnerships, or just securing income? If you care about moving beyond transactional fundraising and building relationships that genuinely resource impact, this conversation will give you plenty to think about.
Peter Quinones is the host of the “The Peter Quinones Show” which was formally known as “Free Man Beyond the Wall”. If you don’t listen to Peter but he seems familiar to you it may be because he was one of the founding members of the “Unloose the Goose” group. A sort of podcasting supergroup I helped found back in 2020. Peter reached out to me on Facebook about coming on the air to discuss “community organizing” from an liberty view point. I think this may merge quite well with my prior shows like Rules for Radicals for the Right … Continue reading →

ICE is shattering records with a surge of new applications as law and order makes a comeback and Americans step up to defend the rule of law. On today’s episode of Stinchfield, Grant breaks down why more people than ever want to serve just as deranged leftists spiral into chaos across the country. Portland erupted into riots over the weekend. Los Angeles saw unrest flare again. Minneapolis remains on edge as the disorder drags on. Grant exposes how this coordinated madness is meant to intimidate, distract, and undermine enforcement at the border and inside our cities while hardworking Americans pay the price. Then comes the moment Democrats did not want you to hear. Senator Chuck Schumer says the quiet part out loud. They want illegal immigration to maintain political power. Grant connects the dots and explains why the surge in ICE applications is the most powerful rebuttal yet to the radical left’s agenda. https://TheMaverickSystem.comhttps://GrantLovesGold.comhttps://www.EnergizedHealth.com/Granthttps://www.PatriotMobile.com/Granthttps://Twc.Health/Grant with code “Grant” for 10% offhttps://VRAInsider.com See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

When the threshold of 55% blocks signaling for bip110 in a single window (2016 blocks) has not been reached, any block that is not signaling for BIP110 after August 1st will be rejected by the activation client, basically splitting themself of, or even coming to a complete halt if there's no hashpower.
Radicals & Rogues: The Women Who Made New York Modern (Reaktion, 2023) is the story of a group of women whose experiments in art and life set the tone for the rise of New York as the twentieth-century capital of modern culture. Across the 1910s and '20s, through provocative creative acts, shocking fashion, political activism, and dynamic social networks, these women reimagined modern life and fought for the chance to realize their visions. Taking the reader on a journey through the city's salons and bohemian hangouts, Radicals and Rogues celebrates the tastemakers, collectors, curators, artists, and poets at the forefront of the early avant-garde scene. Focusing on these trailblazers at the center of artistic innovation—including Beatrice Wood, Mina Loy, the Stettheimer sisters, Clara Tice, the Baroness Elsa von Freytag Loringhoven, Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney, Marguerite Zorach, and Louise Arensberg—Lottie Whalen offers a lively new history of remarkable women in early twentieth-century New York City. Posso entrar? Este episódio é a versão expressa do Café Brasil. Cato Institute's Travis Fisher joins Rep. Crenshaw to cover the current state of climate science vs climate alarmism. They unpack the new Department of Energy climate report that surveys the latest climate models, the impact of CO₂, ocean acidification, and hurricane trends. They look at the impact of a 2009 EPA regulation called the “Endangerment Finding,” which has had a massively negative impact on American innovation and prosperity. They also discuss the path forward towards energy realism: reliable, affordable, and secure energy paired with innovation-driven, commonsense environmental progress. Travis Fisher is the director of energy and environmental policy studies at the Cato Institute. He has nearly 20 years of experience in energy policy, including leadership roles at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the Institute for Energy Research, and the Department of Energy during the first Trump administration. He most recently served again on a detail to the Department of Energy under Secretary Chris Wright, where he managed the development of the new climate report. Find him on X at @ts_fisher and read his research at Cato Institute.
