The Bottle Rockets, Brian Henneman, Eric "Roscoe" Ambel, and me.
Kip Loui has made music in his hometown of St. Louis for years. He's a co-founder of the annual music festival Twangfest, an event that's brought music performers from all over the country to St. Louis for 24 years now. Kip has played in some great bands. Belle Starr, The Rockhouse Ramblers, The Transmitters, The High Dives, In recent years, Kip has teamed up to play and record with Diesel Island, a band whose often rotating lineup has featured Brian Henneman, Mark Ortmann and John Horton, all formerly with The Bottle Rockets. He's also released solo albums, often with his wife, JJ on vocals, guitar and harmonica. I've known about Kip for years, but it was only recently that I realized he lives just a few minutes away. So on one fine evening, here in the outskirts of St. Louis, we had a great talk. The music of Kip Loui can be listened to and purchased here at Bandcamp.Photo by Blackburn PhotographyBuzzsprout - Let's get your podcast launched! Escuchar audio
