Tim Key and Dan Antopolski rattle through the news with Alex Horne at the Helm. It's news but not as you know it. Mainly because it's barely news. It's the type of news that you find behind your sofa when looking for your phone. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
Rob Beckett and Dan Antopolski join Alex to discuss the news this week, although to call it news would be a huge disservice to current affairs. It’s neither current nor affairs driven. It’s like the news equivalent of the reduced section in the supermarket. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
In episode five the legendary Mike McShane talks about why Amnesty is important to him, Claire Sweeney tells us a secret about Bill Clinton, DeAnne Smith sings us a song about the things we all have in common and there is hilarious stand up from Felicity Ward, Jigsaw and Terry Alderton. Rich is considering getting run over by a bus to give him a show for next year's Fringe, after Tim Vine has rejected him as a gag writer and he's smarting from a weird, scary audience from last night's What Is Love, Anyway?, but luckily today's podcast audience aren't weird - well not in that way. Obviously they're deeply odd and there's not enough of them, but hopefully things will pick up so Richard can be financially rewarded for another slow descent into madness. Today's guests are Dan 'Sparkling Helmet' Antopolski and Nick Helm and there's an extra special appearance from Cliff who was once a contestant on Countdown. The identity of the mysterious cupboard puncher might finally be revealed after nine years of escaping justice and because Rich is tired there's a lot of talk of bodily effluent. The hour zips by - let's hope it's not Kenneth Kendall's last one.
Al joins Emily and Gareth once again. They talk Russian spies and things they haven't got round to. Stand up comedian Dan Antopolski is this week's guest.
Miles Jupp returns with another crammed half-hour of top-notch comedy. Spilling out of our green room are Paul Sinha, Craig Hill, Robin Ince, Sam Simmons, Dan Antopolski and cabaret act Bourgeois and Maurice
