Today, it's time once again to say goodbye to Halloween, and that's a bummer. However, I'm going out on a high note, as I'm joined once again by Patrick Monahan (@pattymo on Twitter, IG and Bluesky) to talk about FROM DUSK TILL DAWN. In this episode, we talk about how Clooney was a born movie star, the incredible supporting cast, which of the two halves is better, the great practical fx, the not so great CGI, and the oddball of a soundtrack. In game 7 of the 2003 American League Championship Series between the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox, Aaron Boone made his mark on one of the greatest rivalries in all of sports. On the first pitch of the bottom of the 11th inning Boone hits an absolute dinger to send the Yankees to the World Series and become the hero in game 7. Comedian, lawyer, and co-host of "What a Time to be Alive" Patrick Monahan (@pattymo) breaks down this home run, baseball curses, and creating a wrestler on N64.

A very special episode of Bath Time recorded at the Edinburgh fringe!Gemma Louisianna and Patrick Monahan discuss their weird and wonderful stories from their time at the fringe.
Yes ladies and gentlemen hell hath frozen over, as not a drop passed Lou or Sally-Anne's lips for this episode. As you know we've had plenty of guests who no longer partake in the devil's juice, but in a first, this week's visitor to the SOS bar, has NEVER drank any alcohol! Yes, despite what some people may think when watching him on stage, comedian and lover of Earl Grey tea, Patrick Monahan has never imbibed an alcoholic beverage... that however, doesn't mean he's bereft of stories of being taken-up in the drunken exploits of others.... hide the super glue!
Kristian Bush knows an outside song is the right one to record when even he thinks it sounds like he wrote it. That's what these two songs have in common - Kristian didn't write either of them.Episode three pairs new "52" song "World Ain't As Bad (As You Think)," written by Luke Dick, Ben Hayslip and Chase McGill with Sugarland/Taylor Swift duet "Babe," which Taylor wrote with Train's Patrick Monahan.Luke Dick is one of Kristian's favorite songwriters, and who doesn't love working with Taylor Swift? This week, hear the fun, inside stories on both!
In this episode, I talk to the brilliant comedian, PATRICK MONAHAN about his comedy career. On stage, Irish Iranian comedian Monahan has an exceptionally lively comic charm with hysterical and razor-sharp observational material. Winner of the 2011 ITV series, Show Me The Funny, the comedian has never looked back and is amazing with an audience. He is a regular performer on the comedy circuit appearing at festivals and comedy clubs. I have seen Monahan many times live over the years from Late ‘N' Live and Mervyn Stutter's Pick of The Fringe at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2009 and 2016 / 2017 to the 99 Club Comedy in 2017 and the Clapham Comedy Club in 2020 both in London. He is wonderful to watch and a highly acclaimed stand-up comedian. Thank you so much for listening to my podcast, if you like what you hear, please subscribe and I hope you enjoy the interview. Johnny Sack loves his curvy wife As a teenager, Johnny Sack was often teased by his friends for his attraction to girls on the thicker side, ones who were shorter and curvier, girls that the average (basic) stunad might refer to as “chubby” or even “fat.” Then, as he became a made man and started to educate himself on issues such as feminism and how the mafia marginalizes women by portraying a very narrow and very specific standard of beauty (thin, tall, no 90lb moles on their ass), he realized Ralphie Cifaretto needed to die. Hear all about it on the latest episode of Pod Yourself A Gun. Matt and Vince are joined by Patrick Monahan (@pattymo) from the What A Time To Be Alive podcast to discuss season 4 episode 4 of the Sopranos, The Weight. We are officially at the halfway point, folks. This is episode 43 of 86, and as discussed on the podcast, maybe a low point for the series. Still a watch-worthy episode with a great Furio shirt and the introduction of some hitmen who have a real elderly McPoyles vibe, but as Patrick points out, it’s the closest the Sopranos comes to making a Frasier style farce where everyone is saved by their own grace. It doesn’t make sense for these sociopaths. For these reasons, the episode receives the lowest grade the podcast has ever handed out - solid B+. Topics of discussion this week: the 2019 remake's big change from the book, the astonishing lack of outrageous Maine accents, would Wampler clone his beloved dog, Mad Max, if he had Streisand money and just what the hell was that zombie family's plan at the end of the movie.
