In the world of art, nothing compares to the size, scope, and majesty of Wyland’s life-sized whale murals. Spanning the sides of skyscrapers, sports arenas, and structures throughout the world, these landmark public murals captured the imagination of millions and helped inspire a new generation to become better stewards for our environment. For more than forty years, the murals have served as a reminder to communities around the world that we all share a special connection with our blue planet. The Wyland Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is dedicated to promoting, protecting, and preserving the world’s ocean, waterways, and marine life. The foundation encourages environmental awareness through education programs, public arts projects, and community events. Join bUneke Magazine as we talk with Robert Wyland, the founder and the artist behind the iconic name. In this week's episode of the Por Favor Podcast, Mike & Gary are joined by Sweet Suzie as they discuss Thanksgiving. Gary had the Rhode Island crew over to his Westerly Compound, while Mike and Suzie took off to property. They had a drink at Martha's Vineyard Lounge at Disney's Beach Club Resort before having dinner at Cape May Cafe. What did the two of them think? Do they wish that they went to a sit-down as opposed to a buffet? After dinner, they tried to walk off their calories around the Beach and Yacht Club Resorts. They hit the gift-shops and hung out at The Solarium at Disney's Beach Club Resort. They then ventured over to Disney's Boardwalk Inn to walk around Wyland Galleries to look at art and finished with a tour of Disney's Boardwalk Inn's DVC. Thanks for listening, Mike & Gary
