Watch the full coverage of the live stream on The Emily D Baker YouTube channel: https://youtube.com/live/i7IdKgUQoDUAfter Karen Read was acquitted of the Murder charges on June 18, 2025, Michael Proctor, The Alberts & McCabes attended video interviews.Michael Proctor was Interviewed by 20/20. He addresses his strong negative feelings and derogatory comments about Karen Read, stating they developed as the case progressed, but admits they were regrettable. Proctor denies planting evidence, calling it a ridiculous accusation. He believes the negative perception from the public is a "loud minority" and maintains he would do nothing differently in the investigation, attributing any issues to the "crazy crazy so-called conspiracy" online rather than acknowledging any potential flaws in his own work. There was a lack of remorse from Proctor for potentially tainting the investigation and no apology to Karen Read. He believes he was unfairly fired for personal texts and that his union rep took his uniforms.Brian, Nicole and Chris Albert were interviewed together with Jen and Matt McCabe by ABC's Nightline. Brian Albert's lack of curiosity and inaction given the situation, especially as a Boston police officer, despite not being Canton PD. Brian's response essentially was, "Why would I go out there?" Brian Albert also describes Jen McCabe barging into his room early in the morning but there was no mention in their recounting of the morning about wrangling the dog. Ultimately, the families felt like they were not protect by the judicial process and told the audience to think twice before becoming a witness in a trial. That is not sound advice as there are consequences for not cooperating with a subpoena. There was a lot of frustration with the clipped nature of the interviews and the perceived lack of accountability or self-reflection from the interviewees. The witnesses seem to be focusing on the "straw man" of public conspiracy theories rather than addressing odd behavior or a poor investigation, leading to unanswered questions.RESOURCESThe Alberts & McCabes Interview from ABC Nightline – https://youtu.be/yIrVOSbx9gMDid Proctor Plant Evidence? https://youtu.be/qZDx1lCJFZY Michael Proctor Wouldn't Change Anything - https://youtu.be/oiuKayU6UQoThis podcast uses the following third-party services for analysis: Spotify Ad Analytics - https://www.spotify.com/us/legal/ad-analytics-privacy-policy/Podscribe - https://podscribe.com/privacy

What makes a serial killer? Why are we interested in knowing? We cannot predict whether someone will become a psychopath, but when someone is discovered to be a psychopathic killer, you can often trace it back to their childhood. The case of the Boston Stranger predates the so-called golden age of the serial killer and still confounds us today. In the early 1960s, a rash of murders terrified the city of Boston. Women were being found brutally killed across the city, and the region. There was no clear pattern though, some shared the same hallmarks. The Boston Strangler case gripped the city of Boston between 1962 and 1964, when 13 women aged 19 to 85 were murdered in their homes. Most were sexually assaulted and strangled, often with their own clothing, and the killer left no signs of forced entry—suggesting the victims may have willingly let him in. The crimes were initially believed to be the work of a single person, and the two intripid female reporters began to connect the cases, dubbing this unknown assailant “The Boston Strangler.” Public fear surged, and women were arming themselves for protection. In 1965, Albert DeSalvo, a man already in custody for unrelated attacks on women, confessed to the murders. Why he confessed, whether for notoriety or something else, like immunity from prosecution in those crimes, his guilt was in dispute for decades. It has been a long held belief by investigators and case experts that not all of the 13 victims were killed by the same person. Because of the varying ages and circumstances of each victim, the patterns in each case didn't quite add up. Even some of the surviving assault victims did not believe Desalvo did not believe he was their attacker, Though never formally charged with the killings, his confession and knowledge of crime scene details led many to believe he was the one responsible. However, doubts lingered for decades due to inconsistencies in his statements and lack of physical evidence.A player in another high profile case has a connection to the Strangler case. The Boston Police Sergeant and Surveillance Expert who followed nephew, Tim Desalvo, to his worksite and retrieved an item for DNA would help break the case of Mary's murder, Boston Police Sergeant Brian Albert, of the Alberts who formerly resided at 34 Fairview Rd in Canton, Massachusetts. It was due to this where, in 2013, that nephew's DNA was insturmental in definitively linking DeSalvo to the final victim, a 19-year-old woman new to the city from Cape Cod. While many had ruled out Mary Sullivan as an actual Strangler victim, DNA evidence came back with a match, providing the strongest forensic tie to the case. Still, some experts believe multiple killers may have been involved, leaving the truth of the Boston Strangler murders a mystery. Mary Sullivan's case is the only case of the Boston Strangler investigation with a forensic conclusion. The 12 other murder cases remain unsolved 63 years later.True Crime Podcast Festival is July 18-20 Tickets at truecrimepodcastfestival.com (use code ANNGELLE for 20% off passes)Oneline at crimeofthetruestkind.comFollow @crimeofthetruestkindSupport the show: patreon.com/crimeofthetruestkind Hosted on Acast. Why Did The Alberts Stay Inside While Police Swarmed Their Yard? What would you do if police and paramedics were investigating a possible death just feet from your front door? That's the question Tony Brueski poses as he and Bob Motta explore one of the most baffling parts of the Karen Read case: the silence from the Albert household on the morning of John O'Keefe's death. Despite the chaos unfolding in their front yard — with Read sobbing, paramedics arriving, and police combing for clues — not one person from inside the house came out. Why? Were they asleep? Unaware? Or was it something else? Motta doesn't make accusations — but he does point to how wildly out of the norm this is for police culture. These weren't just civilians inside — these were cops and first responders. If someone collapses in your yard, especially someone you know, you go outside. You check. You help. Unless you're trying to stay hidden. Tony challenges this by acknowledging that weird behavior doesn't prove guilt — but both men agree: the optics are terrible. They also discuss how the lack of initial investigation into the house compounds the problem. The cops didn't go in. They didn't ask to. And now the jury has to make sense of that silence — both literal and investigative. If the prosecution's theory is that Karen dropped John off and drove away, then why didn't anyone in the house see him? Or respond when he was discovered freezing and bleeding out in the yard? This episode dissects the psychological, procedural, and legal ramifications of inaction. Week 3 of the Karen Read trial was packed with twists; witnesses challenged whether Michael Proctor was even the lead investigator, and the courtroom was buzzing over solo cups, leaf blowers, and yet another butt dial. Witnesses began subtly (but noticeably) distancing themselves from the Albert family, casting doubt on previous alliances. Tensions are rising, timelines are being questioned, and this case is getting messier by the minute. We're attending the trial in person and live streaming it daily on my YouTube channel 10 to LIFE, with full recaps every Friday. Make sure to subscribe and follow so you never miss an update.

McCabe Holds the Line as Karen Read's Defense Spins in Circles The second segment of McCabe's testimony went deeper—this time focusing on how she handled the timeline and the events at 34 Fairview. The defense kept throwing curveballs, trying to paint her as inconsistent or rehearsed. But every time they swung, she let it sail by. Calm. Controlled. Not rattled. She doubled down that Karen was panicked, saying “I hit him” over and over. The defense tried insinuating she was covering for the Alberts or for herself—but no slip-ups, no cracks. If the goal was to cast doubt, they missed. McCabe vs Karen Read Defense: Guess Who Still Sounds Like the Truth Teller By the third round, you could feel the shift in the room. The defense was repeating itself, circling the same topics, hoping to finally get McCabe to trip. It didn't happen. She shot down claims of coordination with the Alberts, denied any script, and stuck to the simple truth—Karen Read said she hit John. McCabe didn't get cagey. She didn't lash out. She answered. And every answer made the defense look more desperate. If this was a credibility battle, McCabe walked away wearing the crown. Bible Reading: Isaiah 64:6-7; Ephesians 2:8-10 "All right!" Oliver exclaimed as his mom presented him with a pair of bright new sneakers. "They're just what I wanted!""I'm glad you like them," said Mom. "But let's try to keep them clean. Save them for school or when you're out with your friends. You have plenty of old shoes to wear when you're in the yard or playing basketball at the park.""Okay, Mom," Oliver said as he put on the new shoes. He did remember to be careful with them for a while, but one day when he came into the house, he left a trail of muddy tracks through the kitchen. "Stop right there, Oliver! Oh, your new sneakers--they're a mess!" Mom pointed to his mud-caked shoes."I'm sorry, Mom," said Oliver. "I forgot I had them on. Mrs. Alberts needed help in her garden, and I guess I went a little bonkers with the garden hose."Mom sighed, shaking her head. "It was nice of you to help her, Oliver, but in spite of your good deed, your shoes are still dirty.""Yeah." Oliver looked down at his feet and sighed. "They look pretty bad." Then he smiled. "It's kinda like the verse we learned at church last week. My teacher said it's easy to think that the good things we do can cover up the wrong things we've done. But the verse we learned says our good deeds are like dirty rags--or in this case, dirty sneakers. They can't make us clean.""That's right," Mom said. "Nothing we do can ever clean up the sin in our lives. That's why we need Jesus." She bent over to help Oliver pull off his dirty shoes. "Jesus promises that when we confess our sins to Him, He will forgive us and wash us white as snow." "Can you forgive me too, Mom?"Mom smiled. "Of course I'll forgive you, Oliver.""I'll try to be more careful." Oliver looked at his muddy shoes. "Will you make my sneakers clean again?" "Not as clean as Jesus can make your heart," said Mom. "But I'll do my best. Bring them over to the sink and I'll check the cleaning supply cabinet."–Nathan Runyon How About You?Do you ever feel like your life resembles a pair of dirty sneakers? Do you think if you do enough good things you can make up for the stuff you do wrong? The Bible says that good deeds are never enough. Only Jesus can cleanse your heart and replace your wrongs with His right. Confess your sin to Him today and be forgiven. On May 9, 2024, during the trial of Karen Read, neighbors Chris and Julie Albert testified about the events surrounding the death of Boston Police Officer John O'Keefe. Both recounted seeing O'Keefe and Read at the Waterfall Bar & Grille on the night in question, noting that Read arrived carrying a drinking glass, which they found unusual. While the Alberts did not attend the subsequent gathering at 34 Fairview Road—where O'Keefe's body was later discovered—their teenage son, Colin, did. The defense questioned the Alberts about potential conflicts between Colin and O'Keefe, suggesting a strained relationship, which they denied. Additionally, the defense highlighted the close relationships between the Alberts and key figures in the investigation, including lead investigator Trooper Michael Proctor, suggesting potential biases in the case.In the Karen Read murder trial, Jennifer McCabe, a friend of both Read and the deceased officer John O'Keefe, provided pivotal testimony. She recounted that on January 29, 2022, at approximately 6:23 a.m., at Read's request, she searched "how long to die in cold" on Google after they discovered O'Keefe's body in the snow. The defense, however, challenged this timeline, suggesting that McCabe conducted the search earlier, around 2:27 a.m., implying prior knowledge of O'Keefe's condition. McCabe denied this, maintaining that she performed the search only upon Read's prompting after finding O'Keefe.to contact me:bobbycapucci!protonmail.comBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

Interview with Max Porterfield, President & CEO of Callinex Mines Inc.Our previous interview: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/posts/callinex-mines-tsxvcnx-drilling-for-high-grade-copper-riches-in-manitobas-flin-flon-belt-6063Recording date: 24th March 2025Callinex Mines is developing high-grade copper and gold-rich VMS (Volcanogenic Massive Sulfide) deposits in Manitoba's Flin Flon mining district. The company's flagship Rainbow deposit, coming within 90 meters of surface and drilled to a depth of 900 meters, represents one of the highest-grade copper resources in North America.Led by President and CEO Max Porterfield, Callinex has submitted an advanced exploration permit that would allow development of a ramp to access Rainbow and extract a 10,000-ton bulk sample. This first phase of permitting, potentially approved by late 2025, could lead to full-scale production after obtaining an environmental license."If you're buying Calinex today for less than a $20 million market cap Canadian, you're getting exposure to just shy of 6 million tons of some of the highest grade copper mineralization not just North America but on a global basis," stated Porterfield. The majority of Rainbow's resource (3.44 million of 4.7 million tons) already falls within the indicated category. The company has consolidated over 10,000 hectares of underexplored land, creating a district-scale opportunity in what it calls the "Pine Bay camp."Rather than focusing on infill drilling at Rainbow, Callinex is shifting attention to growing resources through exploration at shallow historic deposits. Primary targets include the "Visionary" area containing the Leo deposit and the "General" area with the Alberts deposit. Historical drilling at Visionary intersected significant mineralization, including 8.5 meters of 3% copper in one hole and 3 meters of over 5% copper with gold credits in another.Callinex is the only junior mining company with a 43-101 copper resource in Manitoba and the only copper resource within 30 kilometers of Flin Flon. The company maintains a tight capital structure with no debt, positioning itself for growth as it pursues a two-pronged approach of resource expansion and permitting advancement. With copper prices rising amid projected supply deficits by 2030, Callinex's high-grade resources in a stable jurisdiction appear well-positioned. As Porterfield noted, "Being in Canada, being in a safe jurisdiction, being in close proximity to this infrastructure and being in a position to be able to fast track that as our leaders within Canada look to explorers like Kalinex to transition and be the next producers puts us in an ideal place."View Callinex Mines' company profile: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/companies/callinex-minesSign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com
We had the pleasure of interviewing Ziggy Alberts over Zoom video!Ziggy Alberts is no stranger to success, having built a dedicated global following through a combination of steadfast touring, captivating songwriting, and an independent ethos that has seen him thrive without the backing of a major label. An artist who has mastered the acoustic charm of busking and intimate venues to the electrifying energy of sold-out world stages - all as a solo act - Alberts is now entering a new phase of his artistic journey with his seventh studio album, ‘New Love'.From his early days busking on the streets of Australia's Byron Bay, Alberts has always understood the power of direct connection with his audience. His rise has been driven not only by his emotionally resonant folk songs but by his determination to bring his music to fans face-to-face. Now a decade into his career, he has grown his fanbase the old-fashioned way: by playing show after show, year after year, turning small rooms into sold-out venues across the globe. His touring record is as impressive as it is diverse. In 2024, as part of his 70-date New Love World Tour, he delivered standout performances, including massive headline sets at Bluesfest Byron Bay and a co-headline SummerSalt run across Australia's east coast with Matt Corby and James Bay. The world tour has taken him across his homeland, Europe, the UK, North America, and Indonesia, with debut shows planned for Mexico and Japan. Among the tour highlights are his biggest German shows, drawing over 3,500 attendees in Hamburg and Munich. He also achieved sold-out shows in Vienna, and both Amsterdam and Mexico City twice over. This remarkable run follows his prolific 2023 Rewind World Tour, where he performed for over 110,000 people at his headline shows, sold out London's Eventim Apollo, completed a packed-out capital city tour in Australia, and made his debut in Brazil, playing to a crowd of 15,000 people at the Floripa Eco Festival.Alberts' audience isn't just global - it's fiercely loyal, built on the back of his tireless work ethic and unfiltered authenticity. His brand of acoustic, sun-soaked folk has struck a chord with listeners worldwide, combining deeply personal storytelling with universally relatable themes of love, self-discovery, and freedom. Alberts' resume speaks for itself: his discography has garnered over 1 billion streams, with hits like "Runaway," "Gone," and "Love Me Now" racking up millions of listens - "Runaway" surpassing 100 million streams on Spotify alone. His 2018 album ‘Laps Around The Sun' achieved ARIA Double Platinum Certification, with several singles also earning ARIA Platinum and Gold Certifications, underscoring his enduring appeal. He's taken home two APRA Music Awards for Most Performed Blues and Roots Work in both 2022 and 2024, further solidifying his standing in Australian folk music. For Alberts, ‘New Love' is a return to simplicity - a reflection of his own personal growth over the years. It explores themes of second chances, choosing joy, and navigating the complexities of modern life, but always with an underlying message of adventure and magic. The first singles from the record, "New Love," "Outlaw," and "Where Does The Love Go?", reveal this connection, blending personal reflection with universal emotions, while the acoustic folk sound and enchanting melodies give space for the stories to breathe. The album's structure, split between a warm, folk-inspired Side A and a more expansive, rock-and-country- influenced Side B, mirrors the duality of life. Side A represents the light, or North, with songs that feel familiar and intimate; while Side B ventures into darker tones and broader instrumentation, representing the South. It's this balance that makes ‘New Love' feel cohesive, giving the album a sense of being made to be listened to in its entirety, much like the records that inspired Alberts early on in his career. The release of ‘New Love' and the ongoing New Love World Tour showcases Alberts at a peak of his powers as a seasoned performer who has mastered the art of connecting with his audience. His determined touring schedule has not only expanded his global reach but has created a fanbase that feels deeply connected to his music and his message. His live shows have become more than just performances - they are shared experiences where fans from different countries and cultures come together, united by his music. We want to hear from you! Send us a textBefore astronauts, there were monkeynauts. In this episode of Wildly Curious, Katy Reiss and Laura Fawks Lapole dive into the bizarre and often tragic history of the first primates sent to space—Albert I, II, III, and IV.The U.S. was determined to test the limits of space travel, and what better way than by strapping a rhesus macaque to a rocket? Unfortunately for the Alberts, early spaceflight engineering wasn't exactly foolproof (seriously, how hard is it to pack a working parachute?!). From launch failures to unexpected explosions, these monkeys became unwilling pioneers in the quest to understand weightlessness, high-altitude survival, and just how many things can go wrong in a single mission.Join us as we unpack the history, science, and ethics of these doomed primate test pilots. If you love space history, weird animal experiments, and questioning past scientific decisions, this episode is for you!Support the show
