This week on Trilogy Outdoors, we are joined by our good friend George Poveromo. George is most well known as the host of George Poveromo's World Of Saltwater Fishing television series. However, for over 35 years, George has been on the stage shairing his vast amount of fishing knowledge across the United States with his national seminar series. The National Seminar Series is held annualy from January through March. This informative series features some of the most well known captains across the US. We are excoted to have this series coming to our area in March to conclude the 3 months of smeinars on Saturday the 2nd of March. You can find more info and get your space reserved by visitng their website at www.nationalseminarseries.com. These information packed semimnars combine both the best in local captains as well as a mix of national speakers. This combination allows an opportunity for us to gain a wealth of knowledge and for many of us, it is the chance to straighten out the learning curve that this sport can throw at us.whether a seasoned veteran or a brand new angler, you will walk away with a lot of valuable information from these seminars. The cost is minimal compared to the plethora of information that is shared with seminar guests. You also recieve an awesome package from the many sponsoras when you register as well as the opportunity at thousands of dollars in items from some of the industry leading companies that are involved in presenting the series. George and Capt E talk a number of things in the show and that includes hearting some of George's experiences filming this seasons shows as well as a couple stories about some of his most prizewd catches. This includes a 142 poound wahoo he caughrt and several other big wahoo. With the SC Wahoo Series cranking up, George alsio shares some great tips for wahoo fishing and discusses the techniques that he feels work the best. The issues of increasing shark encounters for offhsore fishermen across the entire southeast Atlantic is dicussed as well. This has become a huge topic and concern for offshore fishermen. This is an issue in the crystal blue waters that surround the Bahamas and all the way up the coast of the United States. Something that George thinks that needs to be acted on quickly or we stand a chance at seeing some long term negative effects on ouir sport and the health of our fisheries. We hope you enjoy this episode and we hope to see you on March 2nd at Barefoot Resort for the seminar.
It's another week of one of our regulars, George Poveromo. This episode brings a different perspective as George's longtime producer, Rob Greene joins the show. It doesn't take long before we start shooting the shit and sippin' a glass of Papas. It seems that we touched on just about everything in this episode but there is one thing for certain.....Pink Floyd is the all time greatest rock band! #ConnectedByWater #Weareallconnectedbywater #PompanoBeach #Waypointtv #Papaspilar #neveraspectator #EatDrinkBeLocal #EDBL #Papasrawbar #olukai #Olukaisunglasses Learn more about your ad choices. As regulars on the show, Paul Castronovo and George Poveromo need no introductions. It was my goal to have a “Who's More Italian?” episode and we did just that. Paul and George both discuss their South Florida roots and “Italian experiences”. While no longer a South Florida resident, we also had legend Bouncer Smith call in to share his thoughts on the matter. Pour one up and enjoy! Learn more about your ad choices. I always love when my good friend George Poveromo stops by to share a glass or two of Papa's Pilar Rum. We always have the greatest talks. This time around I was proud to crown him as the ‘Most Italian Guest' we've ever had on the show. We were also both very happy to welcome back Karlene after taking time off for the birth of her daughter. Thoughts were shared on what more can be done by supporting the South Florida CCA chapters, among many other things. We also got a chance to take phone calls from Mike Myatt and Bouncer Smith which opened up the show to a ton of great stories. Papa would definitely be proud of this episode. | @georgepoveromo Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Papa would definitely be proud of this episode. We took full advantage of having our Papa's Pilar crew in town for the 2021 FLIBS boat show in true Hemingway style. Was a great time sitting with this room full of legends all at once. Bouncer Smith, Paul Castronovo, George Poveromo, Steve Growth, Mike Myatt, Karl Anderson and more! They all shared stories and we partook in the newest batch of Limited Edition Legacy rum. | @papaspilar @paulcastronovoshow @capt_ka @captbouncer @myattmike @georgepoveromo Learn more about your ad choices. The one and only, Capt Harry Vernon paid the studio a visit for his first ever and was joined by our show regular, resident fishing historian (yes, add that to the list) and offshore television host icon, George Poveromo. These two go back... waaaaay back. Some would say their stories are as deep as Poveromo Canyon itself. Although, from the perspective of three Florida natives we did get a little serious talking clean water conservation, the rum still flowed and so did plenty of gaffs. Uh, I mean laughs. | @georgepoveromo @captharryvernon @captharrysfishingsupply Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
