Lacking no oomph, the mixes of Amsterdam's one and only Mary Lake tick all the boxes of a quality hi-NRG set. Boasting a definite knack for those volatile hotchpotches of big-room-ready jack and a surgical DJing skillset, Mary treats us to a frantic whirlwind of paced-up machine funk and absolutely imparable industrial-inflected maneuvers. Cranking the heat one notch up with every bar, the Dutch DJ certainly knows how to bring dance floors to a simmer and keep crowds under her spell through wave after wave of an uncompromising floor-destroying exposé. No-surrender, adrenaline-stacked ripper of a mix thru and thru, consider yourselves warned for the tumultuous ride ahead. Hectic.

Join us for an insightful and heartfelt conversation with our special guests, Rick Costa and Cynthia Ruiz Lopez, as we unpack the complexities of emotional struggles in our fast-paced world. With a quick-witted story about the word "joy," Rick sets the stage for a deeper dialogue about workplace stress, personal challenges, and the blurred line between sadness and depression. “I'm just so busy.” It's something we all say, and it's something we all hear when we ask a friend how she's doing. There's something about our culture that makes us wear this “busyness” as a badge of honor. We're all supposed to be busy...or at least SAY we're busy. To be fair, there are some people who have extremely busy lives and very little free time after work and family commitments. Some of those women manage to have thriving friendships, and some don't. On the flip side, some people actually DO have a bit more free time after work and family commitments. And, again, some have thriving friendships, and some don't. So, what's the deal? Join me for a conversation with Stewanna Dasari to discuss what it is that has us all feeling so busy, and how we can stay connected with friends even when our free time is scarce. Next Steps: 1. Listen to the episode. 2. Leave a written review. 3. Repeat. NOTE: If you liked this episode, you'll love Episode 4 | How to Keep a Friend Forever - Be Thoughtful! - featuring Moira Ballard. Have you ever heard the phrase, "no plan survives first contact," or, "everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face"? These sayings might sound dramatic, but let's be honest, they ring true. Life has a way of throwing curveballs at us, especially when we're chasing our biggest, scariest goals. When that happens, we're often quick to rationalize, intellectualize, or make excuses for why we didn't follow through. It's human nature, but it doesn't have to be the end of the story. The real question is: how can we stay the course, even when the unexpected happens? Consistency is the truest measure of excellence and a life well lived. So, how do we tether ourselves to it? How do we make progress and avoid giving ground to the circumstances and stressors, both good and bad, that we inevitably face? In this motivational episode, we cover: The most important component of credibility and how to maintain it How to stay consistent in the areas of life where progress and growth are critical Building your own daily tracker to hold yourself accountable Avoiding the rut and keeping momentum alive, one small task at a time Have a topic or question you'd like us to tackle on the podcast?
