Happy Monday, Christmas Fanatics! And Happy President's Day to our American listeners! We hope you're all enjoying your long weekend! This week, the elves travel back to the land of Hallmark Channel Original Christmas movies to cover the 2015 Romantic Comedy, "12 Gifts of Christmas"! The elves have covered quite a few Hallmark movies at this point and their reactions always span the spectrum. How does this one fare? You'll have to tune in to find out. But we can assure you this is a really fun episode, helped in part by Anthony's hilariously evident disdain and bewilderment as he guides the conversation through the plot! Also discussed: returning TV shows, Ellie's Christmas-themed birthday party, and much, much more! This is one fun episode you want to be sure not top miss! So, settle back and enjoy! As always, thanks for your love and support, y'all! ❤️

Merry Christmas, Slackers!Christmas was so much simpler as a kid. All it really took to make you happy was that one big Santa gift. And boy, did the 70's & 80's have some great toys! This episode I recount some of my favorite toys from each year - I have a weirdly specific memory when it comes to Christmas - going from 1976 until about 1984. From Remco's McDonald's Playland (and figures), to the Millennium Falcon, to the King of Pop, those Christmas mornings were full of joy & gratitude, that somehow transcended the obvious consumerism on display. Sure, there may have been a year or two with no real “must have gift”, but even then the excitement of unwrapping even the most mundane of gifts (who doesn't like Christmas socks?), was palpable. At some point Christmas becomes so much more about the giving than receiving, but there is that odd time in your mid teens where the shine of the day is just a little less than it used to be. Having a house full of teens now, I can see it happening, and it is such a bummer. It is also a part of life and growing up - I just hope they recognize the cure for that is the giving! Now on to 2024!
Lead Pastor, Jordan Lumbard, closes out the series with a Christmas Eve message about Jesus is the hope of the world in the flesh, and how the closer we get to him the more joy we experience.

Sermon Notes
Are you already feeling stressed out by this holiday season? We all long for the holidays to be peaceful and joyful time for our family. And we know that instead, rough and faced with stress. We're faced with unrealistic expectations and of course, exhaustion. Eventually, we just feel awful and we just wish the holidays were over. But in the overwhelm, unfortunately, we often lose sight of what the real gifts are of this season. We feel let down and we feel disappointed by the holidays and we wish it could be like it was when we were kids. So what if we could create a Christmas season that was better than when we were kids and teach our children how to do the same thing for their family in the future, by modeling it. That is what we're diving into today. Creating lasting gifts for ourselves and our family that we can always cherish deep in our hearts. If you are ready to have the best holiday season you have ever had this episode is for you.XOXO,KatieP.S. Don't journey alone
