Shine!LDS AND MEDIUM PODCAST BACKGROUND:I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, or LDS for short. All my life I felt awkward and out of place, not because of my religion, but because of my spiritual gifts. It was hard to combine the idea of what first seemed like two separate worlds. So my whole life I have tried. I have learnt more about my gifts, and stayed faithful to my faith. But then I heard people left the church because it seems impossible to combine the two. So I am here, to try and mend the rift. To show that it is possible to be both LDS and to have, and use, our spiritual gifts. I am not alone on this journey, but my sister, who just is waking up to her spiritual gifts is by my side and she will also share her story.Jesus Christ, our older brother, was a healer. He asked us to love one another. So let´s follow in his footsteps. Please join me on this journey, let´s make a community of strong spiritual LDS, or whatever religion you belong to, and all work together to make this world a better place. If you like what I do, then you can find me here:https://linktr.ee/ldsandmediumIf you have words of support or stories that you anonymously want me to share please write me at ldsandmedium@gmail.com. Mark Matson Awakening to Grace (Lent 2025)
The greatest gift is God's gift of Love. One day Holy Spirit spoke in my heart that He gives good gifts in the midst of the bad. Many times we look at trials as bad when God sees something good that can come from it. What Satan meant for evil God will turn for our good and His glory.

4th Sunday after EpiphanyScripture Lesson: 1 Corinthians 13
Paul lays out his interpretation of love in a chapter that has blessed many an individual, many couples, many marriages, and many churches. Let it bless you!
We are re-engaging with the sermon series we started in September on 1 Corinthians to coincide with our school year theme of "Choosing Unity". You and I both know how polarized our world is right now and how much more fractured it can become in an election season. We have lost the ability to really listen to one another. We take sides. We take positions and, let's be honest, sometimes we forget why. Now more than ever the Church has a responsibility to be bridge builders and peacemakers in our community. When we reach the end of our lives, what we have left is love. May that be the motivator in our life together. Passage: 1 Corinthians 13 We have three worship opportunities for you to experience: 9:00 a.m. - Sanctuary Service 9:30 a.m. - Online Service 10:30 a.m. - Chapel Service Please consider joining us for one of these services. Welcome, Warriors, to another enriching episode of Aligning Today's World Within God's Word. Today, we delve into the heart of God's commandments, exploring how His voice of love resonates through our lives. Our scriptural foundation today is found in John 15:12.Our springboard for today's discussion is: John 15:12 - "This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you."In this powerful commandment, Jesus not only instructs us to love but also sets the standard by His own example of sacrificial love. This verse invites us to reflect on the depth of Christ's love for us and challenges us to extend that same love to others.Let's Start With:* Identify God's Voice in Scripture: Spend time meditating on scriptures that speak of love. How do these verses shape your understanding of how God loves you and how you should love others?* Listen in Prayer: As you pray, ask God to reveal specific ways you can show love to those around you. Be open to His leading, whether it's reconciling a strained relationship or reaching out to someone in need.* Seek Confirmation: When you feel led to act in love, look for confirmation through God's Word or the counsel of godly friends. Confirmation can reassure you that you are indeed hearing God's voice. Conclusion: Love is an active expression of our faith and a direct response to hearing God's voice. As we tune in to His divine whisper, let us be motivated to act with compassion and kindness.Question of the Day: How have you heard God's voice prompting you to show love recently?Growth Challenge: This week, make it a point to follow through on every prompting to show love, however small it may seem. Document these promptings and your actions as a way to recognize and celebrate God's voice in your life.Let's Pray: Lord, thank You for Your overwhelming love that guides and sustains us. Help us to hear Your voice clearly as You call us to love others. Give us the courage to act on Your commandments and the wisdom to see the opportunities You place before us every day. Amen.Remember, Warriors, love is not just a feeling—it's a command to be obeyed and a voice to be followed. Let's step out in love and make a real difference. Let's get to work!My Reasons To Believe is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber. This is a public episode. The Christmas season often feels like a blur of lights, gifts, and gatherings. But amidst the busyness, Advent invites us to slow down and reflect on the profound love of God. The theme of love isn't just sentimental fluff; it is the cornerstone of our faith and the most powerful gift we can give and receive. Let's explore why love is central to Christmas and how we can live it out using the timeless wisdom of 1 Corinthians 13.
Powerful Message by Pastor Blake Andrews
We often think about the sacrifice Jesus made in his death. This week we focus on the sacrifice he made in his birth. We also look at Vanstone's idea that love always takes effort and sacrifice, and the love of Christ is certainly evident in his decision to leave his father to go save his prodigal siblings.

The third week of Advent brings us to God loving the world that He must enter into it. The early church so manifested love that it drew the poor and sick in. Christmas is a wonderful season to reflect on God's movement towards us and not based on how we're doing personally.
Luke 1:39-56 Rev Rodney Henderson
Speaker: Sr. Pastor Richard Parks Scripture: John 3:14-17 Objective: John 3:14-17 emphasizes God's immense love for humanity, manifested through the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ, for the salvation of the world.
Pastor Luke preached about Jesus being the greatest gift to savor, save and share. He said, "Because Jesus came to us, we get to go and share His love with others."

This Christmas, let's embrace the greatest gift of all—God's perfect love in the Baby that was born long ago— Jesus! Let it fill our hearts so we can share it with others this season!"God showed how much he loved us by sending his only Son into this wicked world to bring to us eternal life through his death. In this act we see what real love is: it is not our love for God but his love for us when he sent his Son to satisfy God's anger against our sins." 1 John 4:9-10 (TLB)Read this devotional HERE!*Social media is so great, but do you ever feel like you want to be part of a space where you can go deeper with our team and other moms on the journey of motherhood? God gives us the most unbreakable, precious gift: His love. And we know the depth of his love because of the depth of his sacrifice: He gave us his one and only Son, even when we did not love him. We don't deserve his love, nor can we earn his love; God gives us his love simply out of his grace. All we have to do is receive his love.
