Everything You're Looking For - "God Is With Us" - Isaiah 7:14 God is with us—and He is for us. From the very beginning, when sin first separated humanity from the Father, God promised redemption. That promise is fulfilled in Jesus, the offspring who would crush the enemy and put an end to our powerlessness. In the incarnation, God showed up for us. Jesus came not only to defeat sin, but to walk with us—offering His presence, comfort, wisdom, and assurance every day. Whatever we face in life, we never face it alone. He is with us.
The presence of God threatens evil, but the presence of evil is no threat to God. Sermon 15:58

King Ahaz faces a complicated and difficult political situation. He doesn't need a plan, strategy, or powerful allies because God is with him. The answer to your prayers is not a gift tucked under a Christmas tree; it is Jesus himself, God-with-us.

The season of Advent is one of preparation and expectant waiting. But I wonder how our expectations of the season shape our experience of it. I wonder if our expectations might actually limit the joy and wonder of what God desires for us.Maybe instead of holding tightly to our expectations—for ourselves, for others, even for God—we are invited to trust in God's purposes. To loosen our grip. To surrender. Our best-laid plans may fall apart. But if we have prepared our hearts—if we have released our expectations and our egos—we just might discover the truth proclaimed to Joseph: God is with us.

Christmas is not about people trying harder to find God — it's about God coming to us. In this message, Pastor Mark Cummins unpacks truth from God's Word, guiding us to see that from the prophecy of Isaiah 7:14 to the fulfillment in Matthew 1:23, Scripture declares the heart of Christmas: Emmanuel — God with us.In this message, we explore how Jesus stepped into our world as light in the darkness (John 12:46) and how His presence changes everything. Because God came to us, we are offered more than a moment of inspiration — we receive a new identity, new ability, new community, and a new destiny in Christ. In this message, you'll discover: • Why Christmas is about God pursuing humanity, not humanity reaching for God • How accepting Christ gives you a new identity and eternal security (2 Corinthians 5:17; John 10:27–28) • How the Holy Spirit empowers believers with new ability and purpose (Romans 5:5; Ephesians 2:10) • What it means to belong to a new community — the family of God (Romans 8:14–17; Ephesians 1:5) • How Christmas points us toward a new destiny, not comfort, but Christlikeness and eternal life (Romans 6:23; Romans 8:29)This message also leads us into communion, proclaiming the finished work of Jesus until He returns (1 Corinthians 11:26), and invites us to respond with faith, generosity, and commitment to God's vision for the future.Whether you're new to church, returning during the Christmas season, or part of our church family preparing for Vision Sunday, this message will help you see Christmas through the lens of God's grace and purpose.
Today is the fourth and final Sunday of the Advent season, just four days before Christmas. We think about the joy that is ours in Christ Jesus our Lord. The worship choir presented a musical representation of the gospel message, followed by a brief message from Matthew 1:18-25. The preaching portion of the service is included here.

Some years don't end the way we hoped. Maybe you're closing out this one feeling tired, tender, or still waiting on something God hasn't yet revealed. But today's episode is a reminder that Emmanuel — God with us — isn't just present on the mountaintops. He's with us in the middle moments too.As we look back on the quiet, unseen parts of this year, we can trace His faithfulness, even in the hard parts. Because His promise was never “I'll fix everything by December.” It was “I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20)So take a deep breath, friend. The in-between is holy ground.Let's end the year resting in His presence, not striving for perfection.I'm cheering you on as you close this chapter — not with pressure, but with peace.SUPPORT BY WORDS: https://buymeacoffee.com/bywordsMy favorite Bible studies + devotionals - HANNAHHUGHES10 for 10% off: https://thedailygraceco.com?dt_id=300773 CONNECT:hello@thehannahhughes.comhttps://www.instagram.com/thehannahhughes

Nobody in the Christmas story fully understands what God is doing—and that may be the point. Jesus came to us and brought compassion with him. Sermon 17:23
This morning, Pastor Emeritus Lyle Mook invites us to consider the implications of the Incarnation - a word that describes the way that Jesus was a living, breathing person just as much as He is fully and completely God. In Jesus, the ultimate saving power that belongs to God alone comes to us as a gift. It is because of the incredible generosity and grace of God that we are able to become children of God by faith! But it is equally profound that the God show us this grace by understanding and experiencing firsthand the vulnerability and suffering that we experience.
Hundreds of years ago, before the birth of Jesus, the prophet Isaiah promised this... He said, “...Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means ‘God is with us').” Notice that last part? Immanuel means “God is with us.” For generations, people held onto those words, waiting for the day God would come. And then, on that very first Christmas, it happened. Jesus was born; God, Himself, stepped into our world—into history—because He loves us. You can pray with me right now: “Jesus, thank You for coming to be with us. I believe, I know that you're real. Will you be with me today?” Always remember, there is hope with God. radio.hopewithgod.com
