Nikki DeLoach heads to the Greek island of Corfu, co-inherits a property with a stranger, and discovers the only way to finalize it is to marry him. We break down whether The Greek Aisle pulls off a premise that has no business working as well as it does. And yes, we have strong opinions about that final kiss.• The moment a cat named Cassandra walks on screen and the fake-marriage premise suddenly has a genuine sense of humor• The electricity bill collector scene and why Andrea had to rewind to catch the punchline• Why Nikki DeLoach and Apostolis Totsikas somehow save all their chemistry for one final kiss in the canal, and whether that's enough• The dinner party scene where he tells the detective the truth anyway, and why that one choice made this movie different from most Hallmark films this year• Why the mom earned our character corner over every other performance in The Greek Aisle, and what separates her from every annoying matchmaking parent Hallmark has ever given us• Eric's 3.5-star verdict, Andrea's push toward 4, and whether Garage Sale Mysteries is actually coming backChapters0:00 - Welcome to Greece: Garage Sale Mysteries Might Be Coming Back4:30 - Christmas in July and the December Bride Debate8:00 - The Greek Aisle: Georgia, Corfu, and a Fake Marriage13:00 - The Cat Named Cassandra, the Cricket Match, and the Canal Kiss18:00 - Character Corner: The Mom Wins It21:00 - What to Watch: Murder She Wrote, Mamma Mia, and the Mallorca Files23:30 - Eric Plans a European Trip (the Movie Made Him Do It)Which Hallmark fake-marriage movie actually got the on-screen chemistry right? Did Elliot just invite his mother to her own death? We think he might have, and that parallel with Kat is not a coincidence. We're breaking down everything in S4 E8 of The Way Home, including the Sam bombshell at dinner, the tarot card the show quietly got wrong, why Evelyn's isolation has been foreshadowed since Season 3, and the Jacob and Abby "I love you" moment that was very, very Hallmark. What you'll see in this episode:• Why Kat and Elliot are practically the same person, and why that makes them both terrifying with a time pond nearby• Sam finally lets on that he knows about the pond, and what that reveal actually means for the final episodes• The Hermit tarot card from Season 3 that was drawn upright when it should have been reversed, and why flipping it would have perfectly predicted who Evelyn becomes• Fern and Elliot singing at the piano with Cliff in the room, and the moment Tessa walks in and says that's the song she would have sung to him• Why Jacob and Abby said "I love you" before asking a single practical question about their actual lives• Our biggest fear for the finale: too many unanswered questions, not enough runway to land them0:00 - Season 3 Rewatch Check-In and Season 4 Feelings4:30 - Episode 8 Breakdown: Tainted Love or Time After Time?8:00 - What We Liked: Tessa Reveals, Evelyn's Isolation and Cliff's Surprise Move12:30 - Sam Knows About the Pond (And What That Changes)16:00 - What We Didn't Like: The Most Hallmark "I Love You" of the Season19:30 - Standout Scene: Fern, Elliot and the Piano21:30 - What We're Expecting from the Next Episodes23:10 - Next Episode: Nikki DeLoachDrop your theory about Sam in the comments. On this episode of Filmjitsu, Mike decides he'd like to "extend winter" a little longer by assigning Jay the Netflix holiday rom-com Hot Frosty. A calculated attempt to exploit Jay's well-documented affection for romantic comedies, this weird take on Frosty the Snowman stars Hallmark Channel royalty Lacey Chabert and a magically animated snowman blessed with abs that could cut glass. Is it a surprisingly heartfelt holiday romance, or just another disposable entry in the ever-expanding streaming content machine? The guys dig in during the main review and then afterward, Mike and Jay count down their Bottom Five Hotties, a collection of movie characters whose scorching appeal can't compensate for their terrible behavior or general awfulness. Then it's time once again for Dueling Double Bills, where the guys attempt to build the perfect companion features for wildly different movies and, as usual, wander into unexpected territory along the way. Finally, the eternal cycle of cinematic revenge continues when the next assignment is revealed. So crank up your air conditioning, grab a mug of hot cocoa and join the podcast that wields films like deadly weapons as they contend with more icy-hotness than Mike's used on his forever-ailing back.

The third Haunted Harmony puts us in an Irish castle with a murdered ghost hunter host, a spirit who doesn't know he's dead, and a writer who reached out to us personally with secrets from the script. Andrea gave it a 3 out of 5. Eric ranked it the second mystery of all three. We don't usually split this much. What You'll Hear• Why Andrea watched the entire murder reveal scene with her laptop literally covering the dead man's face, and what that did to her read on the whole movie• The Clue movie homage Craig Wenman built into the secret passage scene on purpose, confirmed directly to us• What the victim's last name "Dempsey" means in Irish, and why it ties directly to why he couldn't cross over• Griff vs. Inspector O'Reilly: why three episodes in, the love triangle still doesn't have a clear winner or real stakes• Where to find more Ireland-set mysteries right now: Murder She Wrote's "Nan's Ghost," Harry Wild with Jane Seymour, Alicia Silverstone in Irish Blood on Acorn, and why it might finally be time to subscribeChapters0:00 - Ireland Is Back: Key to the Castle Overview4:30 - Andrea's Verdict: A 3 Out of 59:00 - Eric's Case: Why This Is the Best Mystery of the Three13:30 - The Mystery Breakdown: Red Herrings and the Reveal18:00 - Griff vs. Inspector O'Reilly: The Love Triangle Problem22:30 - Character Corner: The Ghost Hunter Who Felt the Spirit26:30 - Writer Craig Wenman's Secrets: Clue Homage and Irish Name Meanings31:00 - Hallmark and Chill: Murder She Wrote, Harry Wild, and the Case for Acorn36:00 - Next Week: Hallmark Summer Nights BeginsDid you catch right away that the victim didn't know he was dead, or were you also sitting there thinking everyone was just ignoring a very rude guy? The character Spats in that film witnessed the St. Valentine's Day Massacre. Al Capone is connected. The 1920s timeline suddenly has a lot more layers, and this episode is either brilliant or a little too ambitious. Eric and Andrea break down Season 5 Episode 7 with questions, theories, and at least one genuine concern. What You'll Hear• Why Eric thinks Sam is the "keeper of the pond" and what that might mean for Del's future with him, including the moment Del says "I love you" while concussed and who she was actually talking to• The "Some Like It Hot" Easter egg: how Spats, Al Capone, and the St. Valentine's Day Massacre connect directly to Nick's time travel story in the 1920s• Casey calling Alice selfish and why that mirrors exactly what fans have been saying about Kat for seasons• Elliot making a deliberate choice not to jump into the pond, and the "Big Fish" arrest photo that raises a huge question about where his arc is going• Fern and Cliff's steamy 1920s kiss, the key hidden in the piano, and what it all might mean with only three episodes left• The honest take on the Al Capone/Tessa direction: did The Way Home bite off more than it can chew?Chapters0:00 - Welcome + Where We Are in Season 54:15 - Casey, Sam, and the Keeper of the Pond8:30 - The "Some Like It Hot" Easter Egg You Missed13:00 - Tessa Calls Everyone Out (And She's Right)16:45 - Elliot's Big Fish Twist + The Al Capone Problem20:30 - The Key in the Piano, 11:11, and Final Theories23:23 - See You for Haunted HarmonyDid you clock the "Some Like It Hot" connection before Eric brought it up, or did that one slip past you? The pacing is sharp, the ensemble cast earns their screen time, and the camera work during the crime scene sequences is genuinely impressive. But when Eric and Andrea get into the actual mystery, they both land in the same place: the whodunit itself might only deserve a 2.WHAT YOU'LL HEAR• Why True Justice Eye for an Eye works as a movie even when the mystery doesn't fully connect the dots, and how it compares to the first True Justice• The VR break-in scene that was exciting and also almost certainly a felony, and the question neither host could answer: how did they get out of Kimber's house?• Katherine McNamara's wig, which Eric calls the second-worst in Hallmark history, and why it was more conspicuous than any disguise should ever be• The True Justice 3: Lost Love listing that already exists on IMDb, plus Eric's prediction for when it actually airs• Trivia: Katherine McNamara's role as Mia on the superhero series Arrow, and writer Nikki DeLoach's personal nod to her home state of Georgia hidden in the script• Hallmark and Chill picks: Murder She Wrote Season 10, Episode 5 for a vintage VR parallel, and Darrow and Darrow starring Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Wendie Malick, and Tom CavanaghCHAPTERS0:00 - Intro: Did You Watch True Justice 1 Before This?3:30 - What Worked: Pacing, Ensemble Cast, and the Crime Scene Camera Work8:00 - The Wig, the Earpiece, and a Winter Movie Airing in May13:00 - Mystery Minute: Fun Movie, 2-Star Mystery17:30 - Romance Roundup: Four Couples, One Joey Porter Name Drop20:30 - Character Corner: The Courtroom Walk, the Dog in the Van, and the Well22:30 - Trivia: Katherine McNamara's Arrow Past and True Justice 3 on IMDb24:15 - Hallmark and Chill: Murder She Wrote and Darrow and Darrow26:00 - Next Week: Haunted HarmonyThe actual mystery in True Justice Eye for an Eye: would you give it a 4 like the overall movie, or is Eric right that it's really closer to a 2 on its own? Do you enjoy a good love story? I know I do! If I am completely honest, I am a sucker for the Hallmark Channel. I think many of us would admit that we want a happily ever after. We want someone to desire to be with us and love us unconditionally. Back in summer of 2017, I read a book called The Story; it is a chronological version of the Bible in one long story. I read it at the same time as I read, The Heart of the Story by Randy Frazee. Did you know that the Bible could be looked at as one good Love Story? No, it is not cheesy like the Hallmark Channel; instead, it is about a God who desires a relationship with you. He loves you so much that the entire book is about His love story of redemption. I highly recommend reading these books-- it would be a great summer read! I remember in 2017 it took me the whole summer, but it was well worth the time! I hope and pray that these books make the Bible come alive for you again and give you a fresh new perspective on the Bible. Jacob and Abby might be Casey's parents, Tessa just revealed she's running the whole smuggling operation, and Kat has once again made everything measurably worse for everyone around her.In this episode, Andrea and I break down The Way Home Season 3 Episode 6, and the theories we walk away with are bigger than anything we've had so far. Here's what we get into:• The Jacob-is-Casey's-dad theory: why the season two clues were staring at us the whole time, and what Casey saying “I don't know anything about the Goodwins” actually means• Tessa as the ringleader of the smuggling ring at the Cove, and why Andrea saw it coming while Eric did not• Kat's pattern across three seasons of steamrolling into situations and making everything worse, including her dad• Andrea's season two rewatch discovery: the psychic who kept calling Del and Colton, and whether there's a real connection to Tessa• Del's horse, Stormy, and why three seasons of screen time has to mean something• Alice skipping New York, Max's harsh take on small-town life, and why the show might be setting her up to repeat her mom's story• Elliot's reaction to seeing Tessa on stage, and why it felt off for a guy who's already met her before• What we still need answered before this season wraps, and our honest concerns about whether 12 episodes is enoughChapters:0:00 – Welcome and episode setup4:30 – The 1920s carnival, Del's horse, and the Stormy thread9:00 – The wildest theory yet: is Jacob Casey's father?13:00 – Kat makes everything worse (again), and why Fern and Thomas are the only ones who call her on it18:00 – The Tessa plot twist and Elliot's reaction problem22:00 – Alice stays home: the wrong call, or something bigger?25:30 – What we need from the final episodes, and why Hallmark canceling this show still stingsDo you think Jacob is Casey's dad? ThiHannah Swensen's 14th mystery delivers fun characters and some courtroom drama, but Eric and Andrea agree the mystery itself is weaker than fans deserve. The killer is obvious from the moment they appear on screen, there are no real suspects, and Hannah's character feels like she's lost some of that strong, independent edge from earlier movies. What You'll Hear:• Eric gives this one a 2.5 out of 5 — slightly better than the last Hannah movie but still missing what made the early ones work• Why Hannah's personality shift with Vic feels inconsistent compared to her dynamic with Mike in earlier films• The one thing that worked: Chad finally gets some backstory and actual courtroom scenes instead of just busting down doors• Andrea's favorite character was the killer — and why that's actually a problem for the movie• Their Murder She Wrote and True Justice recommendations if you're craving a better mystery• A preview of next week's True Justice: Eye for an Eye review (and why you should rewatch the first one before the new episode drops)Chapters:0:00 – Cold Open: Chocolate Cheesecake Opinions1:15 – Overall Ratings: 2.5 Out of 53:42 – What Happened to Lake Eden's Small Town Charm?7:28 – Mystery Minute: No Suspects, No Red Herrings11:05 – Romance Roundup: Married-for-10-Years Chemistry14:20 – Character Corner: The Killer Was the Best Part16:45 – Hallmark Trivia: Top-Rated Hannah Movies18:30 – Hallmark and Chill Recommendations21:10 – Next Week: True Justice Eye for an EyeDid you notice Hannah's personality shift with Vic compared to Mike? Eric calls this his favorite episode of the season so far, while Andrea is still only halfway into the pond. Nick time travels to the 1920s, someone wants Kat dead, and the tarot cards Tessa steals might actually mean something. What you'll hear:• Why Nick singing with the Augustine brothers at the speakeasy might be the best Nick moment of the entire series• Eric's take on why Kat and Elliott's relationship feels more like siblings or toxic friends than romantic partners• The tarot card breakdown: Knight of Cups and the Empress, and what they could actually mean for Tessa's future• Del's concussion visions of Colton, and whether she and Jacob were both running parallel delusions• Andrea's standout scene: Evelyn showing real compassion when Colton tells her about the miscarriage• The drowning scene cliffhanger: Kat was the target the Augustine brothers were told to "get rid of" — but by who?• Grayson Goodwin: good guy or bad guy? Now she's back with You're Killing Me, a cross-generational cozy mystery starring Brooke Shields and debuting on Acorn TV May 18th. And Brooke herself picked the two-female-lead concept over the traditional cozy mystery formula. What you'll hear in this interview:• How Robin went from forty years in the business to getting Mystery 101 greenlit at Hallmark — and why it was never supposed to become a franchise• The three concepts Robin pitched to Brooke Shields, and why Brooke changed her mind and chose the cross-generational female duo over the Moonlighting-style male-female tension• Why You're Killing Me breaks the cozy mystery rules by pairing two women instead of relying on romantic tension, and how Hacks and Gilmore Girls influenced the show's DNA• Tom Cavanagh's Detective Jack — the rare cozy mystery cop who's competent, amused, and doesn't dismiss the amateur sleuths• Kate Drummond (Flower Shop Mysteries) reuniting with Brooke Shields, and whether we'll see more of her friendship storyline in future episodes• The overarching mystery that runs underneath the six standalone episodes — and why Robin says the last episode is her and Brooke's favorite• What it's like managing from kindness on set, and the moment the grizzled boom operator told Robin he didn't think he'd like the show — until he couldn't stop laughing during the tree sceneChapters:0:00 – Who Is Robin Bernheim?4:12 – From Remington Steele to Mystery 1019:47 – Pitching Hallmark's Biggest Mystery Franchise14:23 – You're Killing Me: Why Two Women, Not Romance19:55 – Brooke Shields Picked the Concept Herself24:38 – Tom Cavanagh, Kate Drummond & the Founders Cove Cast30:15 – The Overarching Mystery You Didn't See in Episodes 1 & 234:42 – What's Next for Season TwoWhich cozy mystery formula do you prefer — the traditional male-female romantic tension, or the cross-generational female duo like You're Killing Me?New episodes every week — subscribe and hit the bell so you never miss a Hallmark deep dive.

There was a twist nobody saw coming, a boarding house dance that actually delivered, and a season-ending cliffhanger that one of us thinks is completely contrived. Season 2 is confirmed, but did this finale earn it?WHAT YOU'LL HEAR• The robbery twist: why Tom's former employee being the thief was a genuinely satisfying surprise — and why we were both convinced it was the British guy• The boarding house dance party: fiddles, prospectors and farmers mixing, and Rebecca showing up in a dress that screamed old money in a small frontier town• The love triangle reaches a turning point — Alexander tells Olivia to follow her dream; Clayton tells her to stay. Two very different views of what her life could be, and why the show actually played it well• Rebecca's arrest as the season cliffhanger: why one of us thinks it's silly and forced, and what the writers could've done instead• Bethany Joy Lenz and Benjamin Ayres in that final scene — why their "talking around it while talking about it" exchange actually worked• What we're hoping Season 2 brings: the coal mines arriving, Tom and Rebecca's relationship forced into high gear, and a proper Hattie episode with actual stakes• Oh — and we learned what a petticoat actually is. All's Fair in Love and Mahjong hit Hallmark with a cultural controversy before a single frame aired — and then Hallmark went completely silent. Eric and Andrea watched the movie, gave it four stars, and have a lot to say about both the film and the network's baffling decision to go dark when they could have controlled the whole conversation. What You'll Hear• Why the cultural appropriation criticism around All's Fair in Love and Mahjong spread so fast — and how Hallmark's silence turned a manageable moment into a full PR mess they never recovered from• The real woman behind the movie: producer Joel's wife Ronnie, whose life inspired the entire story — and why that context would have squashed most of the controversy on its own• Did you spot the real Ronnie's cameo? She's hiding in the book club scene as the “I want my bird” woman — and Eric has Joel's number to confirm it• Fiona Gubelmann's performance — Eric calls it her best Hallmark movie by a mile, with special attention to her non-verbal acting during the karaoke scene that felt completely unrehearsed• Melissa Peterman stealing every scene she's in, and why Eric suspects she was improvising lines that no writer could have scripted that naturally• What didn't land: the too-brief secondary romance between the two Chinese characters that felt tokenistic given the runtime, and a small business loan subplot that hit a little close to homeChapters0:00 – Intro & The Controversy Around All's Fair in Love and Mahjong4:00 – Hallmark Went Silent: How They Let the Narrative Win8:00 – What Worked: Fiona Gubelmann's Best Hallmark Performance Yet12:00 – Melissa Peterman, the Friend Group & the Karaoke Scene16:00 – What Didn't Work: The Loan, the Tokenism, the House19:30 – The Real Ronnie: True Story, Real Cameo & Mahjong Trivia22:00 – Movie Recs: Twelve Games of Christmas, Jumanji & Field Day23:55 – Up Next: When Calls the Heart Season 1 FinaleDid the cultural controversy around All's Fair in Love and Mahjong reach your corner of the internet — or were you totally in the dark until now? Eric gives it a 4 out of 5 and Andrea gives it a 4.5, but it's the moments neither of them expected that have both of them talking.• Why Odette Annable's nonverbal performance in Kentucky Roses had Eric completely reversing his skepticism — and the specific moments that made her feel genuinely, authentically real• The one line of dialogue that stopped both hosts cold: a bold character moment Eric called “elevated writing” for Hallmark (you'll know it when you hear it)• How the real Kentucky Derby — where a female trainer won for the first time in history — perfectly mirrored what was playing out in the movie that same weekend• What it means that Andrew Walker was executive producer of Kentucky Roses, and why male Hallmark stars are starting to take more creative control over their projects• The wildflower bush that was supposed to be a whole field of flowers (we love you, Hallmark, but come on)• Why Taking the Reins is the closest comparison to Kentucky Roses and worth adding to your watchlist right nowCHAPTERS0:00 – Intro + What We've Been Watching4:00 – Kentucky Roses: The Most Hyped Hallmark Movie of the Year7:30 – Andrea's 4.5-Star Case: What Worked11:30 – Odette Annable: The Performance Nobody Expected15:00 – Where Hallmark Still Can't Quite Do Sports18:30 – The Line of the Movie & the Romance21:00 – Standout Scene + Our Pick: Taking the ReinsCOMMUNITY ENGAGEMENTDid you think Odette Annable was the right fit for Kentucky Roses, or were you skeptical going in like Eric was? Episode 3, “Dust in the Wind,” is the most layered installment yet, and Eric and Andrea have a lot of feelings about it. Chief among them: Fern is not who she appears to be, and someone needs to talk about the Cassie theory. What you'll see in this episode:• Why Season 4 feels more focused than Seasons 2 and 3 — and the behind-the-scenes detail from a fan Facebook group that explains why• The near-proposal cabin scene between Kat and Elliot, and the kids conversation that comes out of nowhere and hits harder than expected• Why Eric thinks Kat absolutely belongs in that jail cell at the end — and why he's not wrong• Fern: the “tainted love” moment, the raid warning she ignored, and the growing theory that she may have drugged Kat• The fan-sourced Cassie theory — could she be Elliot and Kat's future daughter, and what would that mean for Alice?• Jay from Coies and whether he might be connected to Sam as a “keeper of the pond” — and why the time travel rules complicate everything• What all four lead actors said in a recent interview about continuing the show if Netflix picks it upChapters:0:00 – Is The Way Home Season 4 Finally Getting It Right?4:30 – Episode 3 “Dust in the Wind”: What We Loved9:00 – Jay From Coies: Another Keeper of the Pond?13:30 – Fern Is Playing Everyone — And She May Have Drugged Kat18:00 – The Cassie Theory: Could She Be Elliot and Kat's Daughter?22:00 – Will Netflix Save The Way Home? We would love to hear from you. Send us your thoughts or suggestions. Eric and Andrea are back in Hope Valley — 1874 edition. Episode 6, "Common Ground," gives us a boarding house with actual curtains, a courtroom scene that lands, a horse that does not, and Rebecca finally hitting a wall. Literally. Two episodes left in season one and things are starting to come together. Mostly. What we liked: the boarding house is looking genuinely charming, Benjamin Ayres and that horse had a very short introduction, Alexander's courtroom ruling surprised us in the best way, and Hattie delivers the line of the episode by the lake. What we didn't like: the pacing is still the pacing, that flooded alfalfa field dried up faster than it had any right to, and a young girl speaking up in an 1874 courtroom required some suspension of disbelief even by Hallmark standards.Plus: the evil mother-in-law cliffhanger we had to rewind twice, a quick gold price history lesson (half an ounce was worth about ten dollars in 1874 — the writers actually did their homework), and a Minnesota Timberwolves update that snuck in because Eric is going to give you a Wolves update regardless.Next week: Andrew Walker in a horse racing movie. We have complicated feelings about horse racing movies. We have uncomplicated feelings about Andrew Walker.Subscribe for new Hope Valley 1874 reviews every week, plus Hallmark movie reviews, rankings, and the occasional detour into NBA playoffs territory.

We would love to hear from you. Send us your thoughts or suggestions. Young Fern showed up in 1925, called Kat “Kitty Cat,” and immediately became our favorite character in the entire series. This is The Way Home we've been waiting for.Eric and Andrea dive into Season 4, Episode 2 — “Blinded by the Light” — where Kat lands in a new era of Port Haven history and the mysteries are stacking up fast. In a role reversal from their usual dynamic, Andrea is all in, and even the show's biggest skeptic (Eric) has to admit: this season is delivering. What worked: Bianca Melchoir as young Fern is an absolute revelation — quick-witted, snappy, and hiding something beneath all that flapper charm. The parallel storytelling between the Roaring Twenties speakeasy and the 1970s hippie poetry crowd is clever and completely satisfying. The casting of Gabriel Hogan and Dan Jeanneret fits perfectly, and Norm is always a welcome sight on screen. And that final scene — where Kat pulls the time traveler card to get out of trouble — is pure gold. What didn't work: Cat refusing to let Grayson call her “Kitty” — when Fern calls her Kitty Cat the whole episode, come on, Cat. And the dramatic full-name drop of “That's my brother, Griffin. Landry.” — you could have stopped one word sooner, but we'll allow it.We also get into Del's torment and the secret she's been carrying, the photograph torn in two and thrown in the fire, and the big question on everyone's mind: who exactly is Griffin Landry, and does he have a history with Tessa Cooper? (If so… the implications for Elliot and Kat are very, very complicated.) Plus — could Sam actually be Griffin? Eric went down a rabbit hole in a Way Home Facebook fan group, and now we can't stop thinking about it.Standout scene picks: Eric goes with the newspaper office scene — discovering that Fern lived in the Landry house all along was a genuinely great reveal. Andrea picks the flask-and-time-traveler exchange at the end, with Chyler Leigh's perfect reaction shot stealing the moment.Subscribe so you don't miss next week — we're heading to Hope Valley to round out that season!⏱️ CHAPTERS00:00 Back in the Pond — Season 4's Final Season Energy01:15 Episode Overview: What to Expect in “Blinded by the Light”02:45 Bianca Melchoir as Young Fern: An Instant Series Favorite05:00 Flapper Fashion, Prohibition Vibes & Andrea's Grandmother's Hats07:30 The 1920s vs. 1970s Parallels Making This Season Work10:00 Casting Highlights: Gabriel Hogan, Dan Jeanneret & Norm12:00 Del's Secret & The Torn Photograph14:00 The Griffin Landry Mystery — Who Is He?16:00 Down the Rabbit Hole: Hallmark Fan Groups & Deep-Dive Theory Culture17:30 What We Didn't Like19:00 Standout Scene Picks21:00 Burning Questions for the Rest of the Season23:00 Coming Up Next: Hope Valley#TheWayHome #TheWayHomeSeason4 #Hallmark #HallmarkChannel #PortHaven #TheWayHomeReview #HallmarkMysteries #LandryFamily #Fern #GriffinLandry #KatLandry #HallmarkMysteryAndMoreFollow us on social media: Instagram and TikTok: @hallmarkmysteriesandmoreYoutubeOr visit our website. Join us on for an incredible conversation with the amazing Kat Barrell as we dive deep into her role in the Hallmark movie The Christmas Baby. Known to many as Nicole Haught from Wynonna Earp, Kat joins us to discuss the importance of representing established queer marriages, the realities of motherhood, and why normalized sapphic stories matter now more than ever.In this episode, Kat opens up about the unique challenges and joys of working with infants on set, including the adorable tricks used to keep baby Lucas happy during filming. We explore why it was so refreshing to play a character whose drama stems from life's big decisions rather than her identity, and how The Christmas Baby brings a much needed focus to adoption stories within the queer community. Kat also reflects on her ten year journey playing queer characters and the power of bringing inclusive storytelling to mainstream platforms like the Hallmark Channel.Whether you are a longtime fan of Nicole Haught or you just loved the heartwarming journey of Kelly and Erin, this interview is packed with behind the scenes insights and thoughtful reflections on the evolution of queer media. If you enjoyed this interview, please make sure to watch The Christmas Baby on Hallmark Plus and let the network know how much these stories mean to you. We would love to hear from you. Send us your thoughts or suggestions. Eric and Andrea are back to break down Episode 5 of Hallmark's new frontier drama — "Finally Home" — and they've got thoughts. Rebecca finally opens up to Tom about who she's running from (spoiler: it's complicated and it's 1874), Clayton and Olivia get a little steamy over some woodworking, Alexander is trying to keep his cool, and Hattie gets a safe cracker who really wants his full dollar. Plus, the kids get lost in the woods and encounter a wolf — and let's just say Andrea's reaction is... not what you'd expect. The hosts also dig into the bigger picture: Is Hallmark+ worth it? Is the Hallmark Channel going under? And where does this show fall on the spectrum between When Calls the Heart and Yellowstone? (Spoiler: somewhere uncomfortable for both of them.)
I am so proud to be a Kansas Citian on this day and can't believe I have the privilege to share it with all of you through a microphone. The Royals have topped the Chiefs. Missouri has topped Kansas. Now, 2.5 million of us are all better for it. I am truly stunned our area gets so many things right now after spending decades watching cheap owners repaint and spend money on useless renovations. Hello Super Bowl! Hello Crown Center's golden era. It's time to shut up the complaining as the Royals did the unthinkable. The took less money than Kansas offered to stay in KC and do something great for our city. Quite a change from the David Glass and Lamar Hunt eras. Wow. A tip of the cap to Don Hall and the Hall family as it sounds like this was pretty much their idea. It keeps their family's legacy project and helps them to continue something we love. Hallmark cards are about connection with friends and family and Hallmark Channel is one of the last places that's truly good, old fashioned family programming from an age gone by. You see, some things are just too important to change. Way to go. We have a complete first round Chiefs draft preview for you including a red hot rumored trade between the Chiefs and an NFC team. President Trump now says Iran hates the blockade more than the bombing so he may stick with it awhile. And have you hear the wording of the question on the ballot that won in Virginia's gerrymandering change? You have to hear this.

We would love to hear from you. Send us your thoughts or suggestions. Kat and Alice both fall in the pond — and come out in two different timelines, face-to-face with Fern. That ending alone has us hyped for the final season of The Way Home.Eric and Andrea break down The Way Home Season 4, Episode 1 — the start of the FINAL season. Andrea is fully back on board and loved the premiere. Eric is more skeptical, and this episode didn't change his mind about Kat.What worked: the graduation flashbacks and the return of “Down by the Water” by Abigail Lapell from Season 1, the tender time capsule scene between Kat and Alice, young Fern showing up in what looks like 1925, and the incredible closing sequence of Kat and Alice landing in two different timelines, both staring at Fern. What didn't work: Kat pushing Elliot to dig into his birth mother's story the moment he says he doesn't want to. Eric speaks personally here as someone who was adopted, and Andrea shares her husband's experience with his own birth mom. It's the most honest conversation we've had about this show.Andrea's standout scene: Alice spotting Kat and Fern on the projector and slipping the reel into her pocket. Eric's standout: that two timelines pond ending. Plus, our continuing gripe about why nobody in Port Haven notices that these characters are walking around SOAKING WET after every trip to the pond.We also get into what we're hoping for from the rest of Season 4: more Fern (in both timelines), Elliot's mom storyline, Jacob potentially returning, the significance of the second set of books, and whether the 1925 timeline will be done better than Newport Mysteries handled its period setting.Subscribe so you don't miss the next episode, where we're covering A Philly with Love!⏱️ CHAPTERS00:00 Back in the Pond for the Final Season01:15 First Impressions of the first episode of season 402:30 What We Liked About the Premiere04:00 Graduation Flashbacks & “Down by the Water”06:00 The Time Capsule Scene07:30 What We Didn't Like: Kat Being Cat09:00 Elliot's Adoption Storyline (A Personal Take)11:30 Standout Scene: Alice & the Projector13:00 The Soaking Wet Pond Problem14:15 What We're Hoping For This Season16:00 Fern in 1925 & the Mystery Books17:15 Final Predictions & Next Week's Teaser#TheWayHome #TheWayHomeSeason4 #Hallmark #HallmarkChannel #PortHaven #TheWayHomeReview #HallmarkMysteries #LandryFamily #Fern #KatLandryFollow us on social media: Instagram and TikTok: @hallmarkmysteriesandmoreYoutubeOr visit our website. We would love to hear from you. Send us your thoughts or suggestions. A piano appears in the park. Nobody knows who put it there. And somehow this turns into one of the best Hallmark movies of 2026.This week we're reviewing A Little Park Music starring Lacey J. Malley and Beau Mirchoff. When a mysterious piano shows up in the town gazebo and interferes with city business, uptight City Manager Ali is forced to team up with by-the-book rookie cop Ryan to get rid of it — only to discover that music, and love, are a lot harder to remove than either of them planned. We break down why the leads absolutely crushed their roles, the surprisingly layered writing that actually explains WHY these characters are the way they are (a rare Hallmark treat), the stakeout scene in the back of the pickup truck that had us completely charmed, and the little piano mystery woven through the whole movie that we didn't see coming. We also have a full yoga corner moment — Andrea has thoughts on that instructor. IRC breaks down why Beau Mirchoff keeps showing up in Hallmark movies and consistently delivering.Plus — IRC is fully hooked on Frankie Drake Mysteries (despite having strong feelings about the hair change in Season 2), Andrea is loving All Creatures Great and Small, and we have a whole conversation about Murdoch Mysteries being edited on Hallmark Plus in ways that are… noticeable.⭐⭐⭐⭐½ Andrea: 4.5 Stars | ⭐ IRC: Loved itChaptersCalculated from transcript at 184.5 wpm against actual runtime of 20:35.0:00 — Welcome to Hallmark Mysteries and More1:03 — What We've Been Watching: All Creatures Great & Small2:46 — Frankie Drake Mysteries & Murdoch Edited on Hallmark Plus5:45 — A Little Park Music — Plot Overview6:05 — Andrea's Review: 4.5 Stars8:31 — IRC's Review: Endearing Leads & Small-Town Setting12:25 — What We Didn't Like (Spoiler: Nothing)12:35 — Standout Scenes: The Yoga Class & Beau Mirchoff's Understated Charm16:22 — Romance: Believable Chemistry & the Stakeout Scene18:52 — Similar Movie Recommendations20:13 — Next Week: To Philly with Love & OutroMovies & Shows MentionedHaunted Harmony — little mystery + music, recommended if you want more of bothSummer of Dreams (2016) — Pascale Hutton, Robert Gant & Debbie Gibson; former pop star + small-town music teacherThe Way to You — IRC's pick; unique and charming earlier 2026 HallmarkHidden Gems — Beau Mirchoff's first Hallmark appearance discussedFinish Line — Beau Mirchoff's second Hallmark appearance discussedAll Creatures Great and Small (PBS) — Andrea's current evening pleasure watchFrankie Drake Mysteries (Hallmark Plus) — IRC's current obsessionTags#ALittleParkMusic #HallmarkReview #HallmarkMovies #HallmarkChannel #LaceyJMalley #BeauMirchoff #HallmarkMysteriesAndMore #HallmarkPodcast #CozyTV #SpringMovies #HallmarkRomance #FrankieDrakeMysteriesFollow us on social media: Instagram and TikTok: @hallmarkmysteriesandmoreYoutubeOr visit our website. We would love to hear from you. Send us your thoughts or suggestions. The goats delivered. The humans? It's complicated. This week we're back in Hope Valley for “Trading Places” — the episode where Rebecca applies her medical skills after Nash breaks his leg, strikes an accidental bargain to plow a field for lumber, and somehow ends up doing the job of about six people at once. We break down what we loved (that field plowing scene, the dinner bet, the Tom and Rebecca dynamic quietly inching forward), what felt like filler, and why the goats were the undisputed MVPs of the hour.We also have some thoughts on Olivia's very sudden shift from Mountie Monty to rugged Clayton — and why that trope drives us absolutely crazy. Plus the conversation takes a legendary detour into Andrea's childhood pig show disaster at the county fair, complete with a runaway pig, a very unimpressed judge, and an answer to “name your favorite cut of pork” that her father has never forgiven. Is Hope Valley slipping into the same slow-burn rut as When Calls the Heart? We weigh in. We also make a case for why Lachlan deserves a Christmas lead, why Jill Hennessy is criminally underused, and IRC compares the whole time period to Doctor Quinn, Medicine Woman — which may actually be the better show.Eric is also heading to Napa for his anniversary, which naturally turns into a full ranking of every Hallmark vineyard movie ever made.ChaptersCalculated from transcript at 178.6 wpm against actual runtime of 17:26.0:00 — Welcome to Hallmark Mysteries and More0:14 — Trading Places — Episode Overview & What We Liked2:30 — Rebecca Plows the Field (In Real Time)2:42 — The Dinner Bet, Ben's Performance & Tom–Rebecca Dynamic5:36 — What We Didn't Like: Filler Episode Feeling6:19 — Olivia's Flip-Flopping Between Monty & Clayton7:34 — The Goat Scene & Andrea's Legendary Pig Show Story12:14 — Standout: The Goats & Jill Hennessy's Priceless Look13:00 — What We're Hoping For: More Action & More Lachlan14:19 — Final Thoughts & Doctor Quinn Medicine Woman Comparison15:57 — Outro: IRC's Napa Anniversary Trip & Hallmark Vineyard Movies Shows & Movies MentionedHope Valley — episode reviewed: “Trading Places”When Calls the Heart — compared as the slow-burn cautionary taleDoctor Quinn, Medicine Woman — recommended for same time period, possibly betterValentine/Summer/Autumn in the Vineyard — Rachael Leigh Cook & Brennan Penny trilogyMartha's Vineyard Mysteries — briefly mentioned, debatedTags#HopeValley #HopeValleyReview #HallmarkMovies #HallmarkChannel #WhenCallsTheHeart #JillHennessy #LachlanMacready #HallmarkMysteriesAndMore #HallmarkPodcast #CozyTV #PeriodDrama #DoctorQuinnFollow us on social media: Instagram and TikTok: @hallmarkmysteriesandmoreYoutubeOr visit our website. It was another packed week for Disney fans, and this episode of This Week at Walt Disney World had a little bit of everything. Greg checked out the 2026 Walt Disney World Easter Parade. Cinderella Castle continued its eye-catching repaint. Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord kept the Disney+ conversation going. Disneyland added more fuel to the May the 4th hype train. And, naturally, popcorn buckets somehow became part of almost every storyline. From Magic Kingdom traditions to Disney+ premieres, this was one of those weeks where Disney news felt like it was coming from every direction at once. That is exactly what made this episode so much fun. Easter Weekend Brings Classic Magic Back to Magic Kingdom One of the biggest highlights this week was Greg taking in the 2026 Walt Disney World Easter Parade. For longtime Disney fans, that kind of seasonal entertainment still feels special. It is the kind of offering that brings old-school Magic Kingdom energy back into the spotlight. There is something about Easter at Walt Disney World that always feels a little different. It is colorful, it is nostalgic, and it reminds you that Disney still knows how to make a holiday weekend feel like an event. That made Greg's Easter Parade visit one of the strongest anchors for this week's show. For fans who love traditions, this is the kind of Disney coverage that matters. It is not just about what is new. It is also about the experiences that keep guests coming back year after year. Cinderella Castle Keeps Stealing the Show Another major talking point this week was the latest Cinderella Castle painting update. The refreshed look has been one of the most talked-about visual changes at Magic Kingdom, and each new update has fans taking a closer look. What makes this story interesting is how much one color shift can change the feel of the park. Cinderella Castle is not just another backdrop. It is the image most people connect with Walt Disney World. So when the tones change, even slightly, fans notice. This week's update looked especially strong. The castle is starting to feel both classic and fresh at the same time, which is not an easy balance to strike. That is why this project continues to be such a strong conversation piece. Maul Brings New Energy to Disney+ Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord also made this week's lineup. The animated series debuted on Disney+ with a two-episode premiere on April 6, and it has already become a major point of conversation for Star Wars fans. That matters because Maul remains one of the most compelling characters in modern Star Wars storytelling. He is familiar, but he still feels dangerous. He is connected to the larger saga, yet his story can go in darker and more unexpected directions. That gives this series real weight for fans trying to keep up with where Star Wars animation is heading next. For Disney+ viewers, this is exactly the kind of release that can keep the service feeling essential between the biggest live-action premieres. Disneyland Turns May the 4th Into Popcorn Bucket Season The Disneyland May the 4th Foodie Guide is out, and yes, the popcorn bucket excitement is very real. At this point, collectible popcorn buckets are not just snacks with packaging. They are a full Disney subculture. This week's show leaned into that fun in the best possible way. Between the foodie guide hype and Greg apparently ending up with a stadium and a car full of popcorn buckets, the collectible chaos practically became its own segment. That is also what makes Disney foodie guide coverage so clickable right now. It is never just about the menu. It is about the limited-time items, the photos fans start sharing right away, and the merch-style frenzy that builds around certain releases. Star Wars season always seems to take that energy even higher. Greg, Dole Whip, and Peak Disney Show Energy Of course, no episode like this would be complete without at least one moment that sounds too ridiculous to make up. This week, that moment was Greg somehow ending up showering in Dole Whip. V.I.PASSHOLDER Summer Days Are Back Walt Disney World Annual Passholders also got something to watch this week, with V.I.PASSHOLDER Summer Days returning from May 1 through July 31, 2026. Disney has already started teasing limited-time perks, including merchandise, food and beverage offerings, discounts, and a new magnet. Because this is Disney in 2026, there is also another popcorn bucket in the conversation. At this point, that almost feels like part of the brand strategy. Passholder news always gets attention because it hits that sweet spot between practical and collectible. Discounts matter. Exclusive perks matter. But the items people can only get for a limited time are often what really drive the excitement. Hallmark Happenings with Holly Joins the Show This week also introduced the first Hallmark Happenings with Holly segment, with Holly joining the show to cover the latest Hallmark Channel news. Catch Up on This Week's Disney Stories This week's live show pulled together a wide mix of Disney news and fan conversation. From Easter at Walt Disney World to the latest Cinderella Castle update, a new Maul series on Disney+, Star Wars foodie hype at Disneyland, Passholder perks, and Holly's first Hallmark segment, there was a lot to cover.

An aspiring writer returns to sell her late grandmother's bookstore, rediscovers her voice and her roots, and finds herself falling for her childhood crush all over again. It's the old-school Hallmark comfort we've been craving — and it actually feels like spring. We break down why the chemistry between the leads is so believable, why the seasonal living themes hit harder than you'd expect, the surprisingly accurate yoga breathwork scene, the bookstore aesthetic, the cats, and the tire swing scene we didn't see coming. We also catch a quiet little continuity mistake no one else seems to have noticed (elderberry vs. elderflower — you'll know it when you hear it), talk through a missed cameo opportunity that could have been SO fun, and recommend the Hallmark movies to watch next if you loved this one. We would love to hear from you. Send us your thoughts or suggestions. Eric and Andrea are back in 1874 for Episode 2 of Hope Valley 1874, "All in a Dream," and things are starting to pick up. Rebecca gets resourceful when Tom shuts her down on lumber for the boarding house, Mounty Alexander steps in to mediate a rancher vs. prospector conflict, and we're getting our first real hints at what Rebecca is running from. The verdict? It's better than the premiere. Bethany Joy Lenz continues to carry every scene with her nonverbals and pure enthusiasm for the role, and the plots are finally developing beyond introductions. Benjamin Ayres is growing into the cowboy thing (Andrea says give him one more episode), Lachlan Quarmby is becoming a standout as Alexander, and the love triangle with Clayton and Olivia is taking shape. Eric has some thoughts on Rebecca's historically bold lipstick, the land ownership drama has the history buff in him hooked, and both hosts are intrigued by where Rebecca's backstory is headed.Plus: Is there any actual romantic tension between Tom and Rebecca? Team Alexander or Team Clayton? And would Eric even be watching this if Jill Hennessy wasn't in it?0:00 Intro 0:20 Episode 2 Recap: All in a Dream 0:45 First Impressions: Better Than the Premiere 1:30 Bethany Joy Lenz's Performance 2:30 Benjamin Ayres as a Cowboy: Miscast or Growing Into It? 3:45 Lachlan Quarmby as Alexander 4:30 The Land Ownership Plot 5:15 Tom and Rebecca: Where's the Romance? 6:30 The Love Triangle: Olivia, Alexander, and Clayton 7:45 What We Didn't Like 8:30 Standout Scene and Performance 9:45 What We're Hoping For: Rebecca's Backstory 11:00 Alexander Investigating Rebecca 11:45 Would We Watch Without Reviewing It? 12:30 Final Thoughts 13:15 Outro#HopeValley1874 #WhenCallsTheHeart #BethanyJoyLenz #HallmarkChannel #HopeValley #WCTH #LachlanQuarmby #BenjaminAyres #JillHennessy #HallmarkMysteriesAndMore #HallmarkReviewFollow us on social media: Instagram and TikTok: @hallmarkmysteriesandmoreYoutubeOr visit our website. We would love to hear from you. Send us your thoughts or suggestions. Eric and Andrea review A Royal Setting starring Jen Lilley and Dan Jeannotte, and this one didn't land. Despite two charming leads and an entertaining supporting cast, A Royal Setting checks every single royal movie box without bringing anything new to the table. Fake country, questionable accent, overbearing royal assistant, commoner gets sent away, commoner comes back. You've seen it before. You'll see it again. The highlight? The royal guard (Fred/George, as Andrea dubbed him), who stole every scene he was in. Jen Lilley brings her usual energy and charm, and the Xander/Jory friendship was a pleasant surprise, but the script never gives any of them enough to work with. Andrea gave it two stars, and Eric wasn't far behind. If you love royal Hallmark movies, this might still work for you. For everyone else, it's a tough sit.Plus: all the May 2026 Hallmark movie announcements, Mystery 101 April Fools chaos, Hannah Swensen and True Justice updates, and the Murdoch Mysteries streaming controversy.Follow us on social media: Instagram and TikTok: @hallmarkmysteriesandmoreYoutubeOr visit our website. It's trial day and Elizabeth insists on showing up to court to support him. Nathan, Bill, and Georgie meet early to talk through things and share a waffle. LJ hears about some of the boys going hiking and camping and he wants in. They tell him to ask his mom. Elizabeth is hanging up some harvest festival flyers when Lucas walks by. They decide to have a conversation for some reason. It's court time! Lee stands up and gives his opening statement. He talks about dreams and stuff. The electric company's lawyer stands up and says his statement is all hat, no cattle. Where is Christopher?! Nathan is called up for questioning first. They present all the evidence they have. The defense attorney points out none of that is hard evidence, coincidences prove nothing. Up next is Georgie. She talks about the map but once again....not super helpful in proving the case. Elizabeth finds out about the camping trip and says no way. LJ is peeved. Back in court, the tides turn. They use the Rosemary lie thing to their advantage. But the problem is, it's entrapment. The judge says he can't use it. Christopher is their last chance. So Gowen goes on the radio and pleads for him to come and give his testimony. And it works. He comes in. Brings the transformer. And they win! The electric company is guilty! To celebrate, Nathan makes Elizabeth dinner. He's about to propose when Allie runs in. LJ is stuck in a tree! They get him down but he's pissed. Jacks joins us this week to continue our Season 13 viewing of the hit Hallmark Channel show, When Calls the Heart. ABOUT: WHEN CALLS THE SEASON (SEASON 13 EPISODE 10) Nathan enlists Allie's help for a top-secret mission and brings Charlotte on a heartfelt visit. Lucas and Edie grow closer from afar. Rosemary steps into a new role. AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR: WHEN CALLS THE SEASON (SEASON 13 EPISODE 10) March 8, 2026 | Hallmark Channel CAST & CREW OF: WHEN CALLS THE SEASON (SEASON 13 EPISODE 10) Erin Krakow as Elizabeth Thornton Kevin McGarry as Nathan Grant Chris McNally as Lucas Bouchard BRAN'S WHEN CALLS THE SEASON (SEASON 13 EPISODE 10) SYNOPSIS Elizabeth comes downstairs to see Charlotte. She asks if she wants to visit Jack's grave with her and LJ. Charlotte says hard pass, I'm busy. Nathan goes to talk to Ned. He locks the doors to make sure no one walks in as he shares big news;....HE'S LOOKING FOR AN ENGAGEMENT RING! Ned says he's happy to help but needs to know the ring size first. Nathan says he's on the case. Speaking of cases, remember the fire? Nathan, Bill, and Georgie are back on that case. Nathan comes up with an idea to prove the fraud - a "drip test". They're gonna spread some false information to one of the companies and see if it finds its way to the other. But they need a mole. Obviously, they ask Rosemary and SHE'S PUMPED. The plan is simple - Rosemary will meet with National Insurance to place a false tip that would exonerate Pioneer Electric. If that information gets to Pioneer, they'll come to the police with that info which will prove they're working together. After school, Nathan tells Allie the BIG NEWS! He asks her to help find the ring size. They need to get the ring so they can trace it. They have a couple ideas - baking, cleaning, etc. But no luck! Rosemary is ready to rock n roll. She goes into the meeting and gives the performance of her life and the dude wrote down some stuff in his notebook. Allie sees Mei and Mei doing pottery and that gives her an idea - throw a pottery party and get Elizabeth to come and she'll take off her ring. Lee and Lucas are talking over Benson Hill plans when Lee brings up Fernando. Naturally, that leads to him opening up about Edie. Lee gives him some good advice. Elizabeth and Charlotte talk again about the grave site. She opens up about how she's never been before. It's just too hard. At the pottery class, all the ladies take off their rings. Allie recommends everyone close their eyes and really feel the clay. Allie grabs Elizabeth's ring and presses it into some spare clay. So I guess that works. The head of Pioneer Electric arrives at the police station and tells Nathan that he's heard some stuff. So I guess that's good. Afterward, Nathan immediately meets up with Bill, Georgie, and Rosemary and tells them the good news. Bill claims that while it would be better to have Christopher to testify, this gives them a fighting chance in court. In the evening, Bill and Georgie walk through town together. While celebrating the recent success with the investigation, Bill leans in to kiss her. She stops him and tells him she thinks their time has passed, insisting she doesn't want their relationship to turn out like her others did. Bill insists it can be different for them, highlighting that the important thing is that they make each other happy. She admits he makes a good point, and agrees to try under one condition: total honesty. He agrees without hesitation and professes he has always loved her. They share a romantic kiss. Lee shows up to tell the students that he needs their help designing the new school. Lucas and Edie talk more about what to do and they get to work on writing up a proposal. Jacks joins us this week to continue our Season 13 viewing of the hit Hallmark Channel show, When Calls the Heart. ABOUT: WHEN CALLS THE SEASON (SEASON 13 EPISODE 8) Feeling the loss of her playhouse, Rosemary directs a silent film and gets the whole community involved. Lucas finds himself hesitant to open his heart again. AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR: WHEN CALLS THE SEASON (SEASON 13 EPISODE 8) February 22, 2026 | Hallmark Channel CAST & CREW OF: WHEN CALLS THE SEASON (SEASON 13 EPISODE 8) Erin Krakow as Elizabeth Thornton Kevin McGarry as Nathan Grant Chris McNally as Lucas Bouchard BRAN'S WHEN CALLS THE SEASON (SEASON 13 EPISODE 8) SYNOPSIS Rosemary sees a poster for The Mask of Zorro and hears Lucas talk about how the moving pictures are the next hot thing. She decides in that moment, she's going to make a movie! She tells Lee about her plans and he's all about it. She asks Elizabeth to write the script. She brings some ideas to Rosemary (and Opal, obviously) but they're hard to please. She ends up writing a script about a mountie falling in love with a school teacher. She brings the idea to Rosemary and she loves it as long as Elizabeth and Nathan play the lead roles. Nathan isn't thrilled but doesn't want anyone else kissing Elizabeth. Now for the serious stuff - Nathan, Bill, and Georgie are on the case. They have a new working theory - if the case settles as arson, National Insurance is obligated to pay out much less than if it were corporate negligence. They think that the insurance company and the electric company are working together. To help prove the case, Georgie brings up the fact that the electric company's map has no signature from the map maker, but recognizes the style of the compass on the map that Christopher had. The man who made the map is named Clement Scoggins. They wanna try to get info from him, so she invites him to town to "pitch a new map" to him and then start to grill him on the work he's done with the electric company. He runs out. Meanwhile, it's film making time. Nathan and Elizabeth are so bad that Rosemary fires them. She hires Fernando and Faith and the chemistry is off the charts. Georgie and Bill listen in on the phone and wait for ol' Scoggins to call the electric company, which he does and tells them that they're in trouble. Edie tries to hang out with Lucas but he just can't do it. He's too afraid of getting hurt again. So Edie ends up leaving town. The episode ends with Nathan telling Elizabeth that he feels like a failure for not being able to finish this fire case and her comforting him....cuz they have real chemistry.
