On Tuesday, Indiana held primary elections for the 2026 midterms. The state Senate primaries were closely watched after President Donald Trump supported challenges against incumbent Republican state senators in response to their opposition to a mid-decade redistricting plan last December. Six Trump-backed candidates defeated incumbent lawmakers, while another won an open-seat primary. Only one incumbent opposed by the president, Greg Goode of Terre Haute, has won their election. The Deconstruction of a False Perspective With Greg Goode

Send me your thoughts in a Text MessageIn this episode of Awakening Now, I speak with Greg Goode about self-inquiry and what is actually being seen through.Greg Goode is a nonduality teacher and author with a background in philosophy. He is known for his clear and structured approach to inquiry, guiding people to look directly at experience and question what seems obvious — especially the sense of being a separate self.In our conversation, we explore a simple but often overlooked shift: seeing is not about finding truth or adopting a new perspective, but about recognizing and deconstructing what is false. We look at how the sense of self appears, how it is reinforced through thought, and why it can feel so real even when examined closely. This is a grounded and practical conversation — an invitation to look, rather than to believe.More from Greg:https://radiuspress.org/greggoode/His latest book, Enlightening the Physical World, explores the nature of matter through both philosophy and direct experience:https://radiuspress.org/enlightening-the-physical-world-investigating-matter-with-berkeley-and-the-direct-path/Direct Path playlist with Terry Moore:https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLf0MTUdIZxcwgcyMSNTyeDHvwmaOg2w8KMusic by Valdi Sabev. In loving memory and gratitude for the music he shared.Support the showWebsiteshttp://ilonaciunaite.comhttp://liberationunleashed.com

Andrew Tootell's Ordinary Mind Zen Podcast

This talk is continuing our conversation about nonduality. One of the core dualities we are trained into is subject and object duality. The theme of this talk – recognising our essential self as awareness – and some of the experiential exercises are taken from a book called “Standing as Awareness” by the nondual philosopher Greg Goode. Last month I spoke about the Koan of the goose in the bottle. This represents “normal” experience of duality – the goose in the bottle is a description of the self-centred dream – we are trapped, or identified as, a separate body-mind self that is the activity of suffering. Practice can be described as shifting from our identification with the self-centered dream (the goose in the bottle) this limited body and mind which we take to be me, towards recognizing and establishing ourselves as being awareness itself. This is our journey from suffering in the self-centered dream to discovering our in freedom when we recognize ourselves as awareness (there never was a bottle in the first place) – is the journey to our home which we never left.

Pitṛpakṣa is a 16–lunar day period in the fall when we pay homage to our ancestors. The purpose of this tradition is to not just appease generations of our ancestors in another realm, but also to free ourselves of kārmic bonds. Ordinarily, even when we are aware of this tradition, our focus isn't on the internal freedom from ancestral patterns that keep us bound. In this workshop, we will explore the role of this tradition and how it can be used to turn inward and to learn to discard deeply held beliefs and patterns that keep us from experiencing joy, freedom, and lightness. I was really excited when today's guest, Kavitha Chinnaiyan reached out about sharing her new book with me, Shakti Rising. As many of you know I love studying archetypes and have a deep appreciation for stories and mythology about goddesses. As well, her big truth kicked off our chat with a bit of mystery, which I also always love. Her truth was: There is much more to life than what we see. From there we explored: -How we're all far more than our limited identities. -How yoga and spirituality stemmed from being men's practices and few spiritual paths are tailored for women, with those that are traditionally, being quite hidden. -We talked about her intentions for writing the book - to clarify conversations around the "Divine Feminine" and what The Goddess is. I loved this line she said, "There is nothing in existence that isn't her..." -We got into making your life your practice and navigating spiritual materialism and elitism along the way. -And she also shared some of the differences between her spiritual beliefs and her husbands and how they instill beliefs, practices and rituals with their kids despite any differences. I loved this chat and hope you do too! About Kavitha Chinnaiyan: Kavitha Chinnaiyan, MD, is an integrative cardiologist, meditation teacher and tantrika.
