This method is a non-dual guided visualization of the Divine Mother. Called by many names like Sophia, Shakti, Devī, Goddess, etc. - the Divine Feminine is typically expressed as the active or dynamic principle in spiritual ontology. In this meditation though, we take a specifically femininist lens in expressing the nature of the Absolute itself as Mother. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/methods/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/methods/support

Jai Deva Sing notes at the end of Dharana 1 that there is an important interpretation of the Dharana still to be considered- that this is the essential teaching of the breath meditation practice “Ham Sah”. The recitation of Ham Sah is an exploration of the ceaseless pulsation of the Goddess Shakti in our lives, a way of observing the pulsation of reality. The meaning of the mantra can only be discovered by listening, by letting the breath move naturally as Shambhavananda and Muktananda teach, which we are taught is the path itself of this practice.Jai Deva Singh (commentary on Dharana 1): “There is another important interpretation of this dhärana. In inhalation, the sound of ha is produced; in exhalation, thesound sah is produced; at the junction point in the centre thesound of m is added. So the whole formula becomes 'Hamsah'.The paradevi goes on sounding this formula or mantra ceaselesslyin every living being.”Swami Lakshmanjoo commentary on Dharana 1:When you take your breath inside, the recitation of ‘ha' will end in ‘ṁ'. When you take it out, [the recitation of ‘sa'] will end in visarga–‘saḥ'. And, in these two starting points, if you concentrate, you will become one with Bhairava because of its fullness.”Swami Muktananda from his book “I am That “This is what we also need to understand. Hamsa is not a mantra that you merely repeat. What you have to do is become established in the awareness of the mantra going on inside you, in the goal of the mantra, in the pulsation which exists in the space where the syllables arise and subside…”Sri ShambhavAnanda on the practice of breath awareness: “Instead of forcibly trying to control your breath, develop the ability to experience and witness it. Follow your natural breath flow and attach it to the mantra “Ham Sah”. A person breathes approximately 26,000 times a day. If you can be aware of your inhalation and exhalation, you will make progress in meditation. When you can control your breath, you can control your mind. But first you have to become aware of the breath. Don't use any forceful practices. Make friends with your breath and be aware of what it is doing in different situations. When you have a certain experience such as fear, anger, or bliss, you will find that your breath will concentrate in a certain area. If you start to pay attention, you will gain some wisdom.”

A new star has arisen in the horizon and its name is now Omicron. Did you know that Corona, Delta and Omicron are actual names of the islands in Antarctica? Worrying part is there are many other islands left yet to lend their names to the fiasco we are facing. Omicron has grabbed the attention, of the population already suffering from attention deficit, most of which is engaged in screens of various sizes. The IT revolution had imposed upon us a great responsibility of finishing our daily quota of 2 Gb data.

In our previous class we took time to introduce the concept of Dharana as a method of concentration, as well as to reiterate that this focal point is meant to merge us with a state of being that is beyond the focus of our eyes or mind. Each dharana is a stepping stone to our state of being. We took time to sit with Paul Reps' translation of the first Dharana, which is always so succinct and useful for meditation. His translation seemed to emphasize the practice of keeping our focus in the heart as we noticed the inhale come down and in, and then the exhale go up and out. Radiant one, this experience may dawn between two breaths. After breath comes in (down) and just before turning up (out)—the beneficence.”Let's practice that now for a moment…We will continue to work with each of Paul Reps' translations of the Dharanas, but there is also rich soil to uncover in the less abridged translations of Jai Deva Singh, as well as the commentary's of Swami Lakshmanjoo. These translations showed opened the door to a few subtle details to the text— for example, that the visarga, the “:” notation in Sanskrit that indicates the addition of breath after a vowel sound, actually represents the two focal points of our breath, the heart and the dvadashanta. The point the exhale ends is specifically called the dvadashanta, an invisible point in space meant to represent the distance your breath travels outside of you. You can find this point, the text tells us, by measuring 12 finger widths from the tip of the nose. Be sure to measure with the angle of your nose, slightly downward, and you'll find that this point is 8 or so inches in front of our physical heart. When you breathe out with a little bit of force, you can easily feel this as the end point of your exhale. As the breath moves back and forth between these points, life is projected and created, which is why the word Visarga means projection or creation. As Shakti is literally the projected or created universe, this verse describes the nature of Shakti as the same as Visarga, as an ceaseless oscillation between these two points, specifically in the form of the inhale and exhale. “Para devi or Highest Sakti who is of the nature of visarga goes on (ceaselessly) expressing herself upward (ürdhve), from the centre of the body to dvdasanta (or a distance of twelve fingers), in the form of exhalation (präna) and downward (adhah), from dvadasanta to the centre of the body, in the form of inhalation (jiva or apâna).By steady fixation of the mind (bharanat) at the two places of their origin (the center of the body in the case of prāna, and dvadasänta in the case of apâna) there is the situation of plenitude (bharitästhitih which is the state of parasakti or nature of Bhairava).”Let's try that practice now for a moment…We will continue to explore this practice today, and describe its relationship to our breath meditation practice, Ham Sah. It should be noted that Swami Lakshmanjoo and Paul Reps were contemporaries, and that Jai Deva Singh was Swami Lakshmanjoo's student. As the Zen saying goes, each one is best. Paul Reps, of course, was a dear friend of Sri Shambahvananda, our living teacher. Sri Shambhavananda also met with Swami Lakshmanjoo in India, and speaks highly of him as well. I mention this because it is so special to be able to study these texts and know that they are tied to the fabric of our lineage in a way— and that they are approved by Sri Shambhavananda for study. Today, this is a commonly overlooked aspect of spiritual practice, but for Shambhavananda Yogis, it is important to know the yogi behind the words you are reading. We open our hearts in this class, and trust these individuals in a very deep and subtle way— being able to trust the text is of paramount importance for my own work. “The outgoing breath is called prana, and the incoming breath is called apana. Apana is also called jiva, the individual soul, because only when the apana enters the body can it be said that the soul is in the body. If the prana goes out and the apana doesn't come back in, then the body is nothing but a corpse.” (I Am That)The Dharana continues: By steady fixation of the mind at the two places of their origin (viz., centre of the body in the case of prāna and dvadasänta in the case of apâna) there is the situation of plenitude. It can be misleading to think of these as two separate points, though, as if one were the beginning and the other the end. For the Yogi, inside and outside, Shiva and Shakti, are simultaneous, as light and a flame are simultaneous. We may begin our practice by moving back and forth between these two points, but the teachings of this lineage point to a another stage in the practice where the two points merge into one— an experience of the pulsation of our very being. As Swami Muktananda describes it:As you watch the breathcoming in and going out,you will become aware that when it comes in, it comes in to a distance of twelve fingersand merges. The place where it mergesis called hridaya, the heart. The breath merges here, and then it arises againand goes out to a distance of twelve fingersand merges in the space outside. That outer spaceis called dvadashanta, the external heart. Here, the heart does not mean the physical organ. The heart is the place where the breath merges, inside and outside. In reality, these two places are one.But as we have seen in the preface, this experience takes practice— only when the inside and outside dissolve can “a sense of non-dualism” dawn in us. So we watch the inhale, then we watch the exhale, back and forth, trying to keep our awareness surrendered in order to feel these “two places as one”, to experience the greater pulsation that is occurring between them.

I have to be honest, I had a couple of meetings and the one meeting I was looking forward to was the interview with this amazing guest that has an energy that will get you out of your chair and car. She is something else. I got no way for you to meet her. I'm talking about Kimberly Lucht, who is a business coach and energy healer based in New York City. She helps women make bank and magic doing what they love. She has been featured in many major publications, including Business Insider, Greatist, Money and many more. Let's introduce her because she is here. How are you, Kimberly? I'm so good. That intro was a fire. I took that from your website. Kimberly and I met because it was a mastermind plus course plus coaching. It was a hybrid of every single thing. I was reviewing the website for this offering. I saw Kimberly's testimonial. I started seeing her in all the calls. I was like, “I need to connect to this beautiful soul.” Your energy is something else. We connected via Zoom. I went to an event in New York and I shamelessly asked Kimberly to stay with her. She was kind to allow me to stay with her. Thank you so much for that, Kimberly. It was a pleasure and such an honor to host you. It is a reflection. All of the things that you are saying about me, I felt about you. It is this vibrant energy radiating off of the screen on Zoom and in person. I was like, “We have to be friends.” We have the same frequency. I needed to bring you to this show so more people from my audience get to know you. Where are you from originally? Where do you live? I said, “New York City.” Tell us a little bit about yourself. I was born in Gemini Skies in California. I love California. It is my soul state. It is that part of the world that I feel like it is super expansive, uplifting and all these things. Throughout childhood, I moved all around the Midwest, even Texas. I know you live in Texas near where I used to live. Background-wise, my dad is from Ohio. He is a Midwestern American-type dude. My mom is from Matamoros, Tamaulipas in Mexico. I have always had this duality in my life. That has primed me for being in business, spiritual space and any context because I always see there are two sides to everything and you can be everything. Everybody is so multi-dimensional and fascinating. There are many parts to ourselves embracing all of that. It is something that has become core to who I am as a person. You come from American and Latin background. I love that combination. She is very Latin. I love how you include some words in Spanish between the English. I'm like, “That is something I got to practice.” I speak a lot of Spanish too but you do it in a cool manner. Sometimes a Mija comes out of me. That is super bad. I went to my abuela's house and that was cool. We can't forget that reggaeton, Love of My Life. When we were in New York in that Uber, you had that cell phone blasting that Uber with reggaeton. I love it. Some of my friends make fun of me because I don't know any new reggaeton songs. I remember all the old-school reggaeton songs. How did Kimberly start her career? How did this evolve to being a business coach to women? I'm curious. I love how it evolved because if you had told me when I graduated college or even high school, that is what I was going to start to do eventually. I would have been like, “Huh.” I was not at all interested in business as a study, like going to business school. My university at the time had an amazing business school. I took classes in the department right next door to the psychology department. I was always right by the business school and it never called to me. I was like, “You guys have to take Econ. No thanks.” You study Psychology. I studied psychology and got a different array of minors in dance and international studies. I was all over the place. I was a Gemini in her element doing all the things. I ended up landing a job as a program director for a nonprofit that had international locations and eventually was promoted to take over operations because the founder wanted to go back to school herself. I took over this entire international non-profit based on the premise that dance education should be available for all. I hope everybody reading knows that there are interesting business models. There are for-profit and non-profit. Throughout my time there, I was like, “This business model is limiting. I wonder what could be possible if I started my business and made it for-profit.” I started to get those little signs even from my body. I remember having random things popping up, health-wise, while I was in that position. I live in San Francisco and Panama for that position. Panama, the country. It is not PTY for Panama City in the country. There is PCB or something, Panama City Beach for Florida. I have been to a lot country in Central America. I noticed all this stuff is starting to pop up. I was like, “What is going on with my body? Why am I getting pink eye randomly?” I would get these awkward spasms that would take me to the floor. It is almost like a seizure but a little less intense but intense enough for me to be like, “What is going on?” My body was calling to me and it was like, “You need to get out.” I had no idea what it looked like on the other end but I was like, “I got to do my thing.” I knew it wasn't part of my journey to jump into a different career in a setting where somebody was the boss of me because even though I had so much ownership over what I was doing with the nonprofit, it still wasn't mine. I wanted full ownership over whatever I was dedicating to my day-to-day. I knew that was part of what I wanted in the future. I was 25 when I hosted my first coaching workshop. It was an array of people. There were about fifteen people there in this aerial dance studio that my friend owns. It was the perfect setting for that. We were all sitting in a circle and talking about our dreams. I was like, “This is exciting.” Eventually, that evolved. You left a non-profit and made an event to attract people. I have had my business for several years out of corporate. How did you gain the courage to believe and make it happen? What was the mindset needed to get there? I had inspiration from my former boss, who is the founder of this nonprofit. He founded it at 25 and I happened to be 25 as well. I was like, “If I don't do this now, when am I going to do it? I'm 25. I got to do something. Let's put up a website or do this. Let's see all that stuff.” The workshop was the first thing that was my actual offer. It is something that people pay for. I was on a deadline. I'm like, “Before I turned 26, I'm doing something.” I set that goal for myself. I didn't have time to think about or ruminate on if it was going to work or not. I was like, “I have a deadline. I'm not going to be 25 forever.” If someone is listening, they are like, “I'm 35, 45, 55 or 75.” Maybe you feel something similar, like if not now, when? Be like, “By the time I'm 76 something is going to happen.” My body was pushing me out. I could almost feel that if I kept going that way, my health would decline even more. It wasn't even at the point where I would necessarily think there was something dire happening but I was like, “This is not optimal.” When our body is sending us signals like that or when we have things happen that the doctor can't explain, we have to go to the doctor a lot or other things that we're like, “I have to take medication or pills,” I don't love to do, mostly. I'm homeopathic and more about the nutrition end of things myself. If you notice that you have to do certain things and get sick more often, that is a sign from the body that something is off. Whether it is physical, that can be the case but for me, I knew it was energetically and emotionally that I felt like I was not doing the thing that I was meant and born for. I know you feel that too. Everyone knows how that feels. I didn't even know what a panic attack was. I had it in a similar context. I was in a job where I wasn't feeling fulfilled. It was very high stress. It wasn't aligned with my values. I kept pushing until one day, I started getting these chest pains and my left arm went to sleep. I thought I was dying. It wasn't at that moment that I made a decision to start aligning with my entrepreneurial aspirations. This was back in 2014. I still stayed in corporate but from engineering, I moved to supply chain, which was more aligned with the people aspect, the relationship and the negotiation. It was because of that panic attack and it was also a lesson for me to not wait again for a crisis to make a decision that I know is aligned with me. I love your story. It reminds me of that moment in my life. It is powerful because your body is speaking to you. It was begging you to shift. Sometimes those signs are a shift or a pivot like a small one. Sometimes it is a complete rehaul. The idea is to take it into account and listen. My word of the year is listen. It came to me. I was like, “What is my word of the year?” It dropped in like, “Listen.” Listen to your body and the guidance that you receive, whether from people that you trust or even ancestors that have passed on. My abuela is very present in how I make decisions in business. She started coming to me even more when I started my business because she was the first entrepreneur I had ever met. Abuela has been a part of this journey from the beginning. Abuelita es blanca rosa. White rose is what that translates to. That is my symbol for her. I went to an Egyptian restaurant site that was covered in white roses. I was like, “I will take you next time you are here.” If someone is feeling a little afraid or nervous about making steps to exit a career and do something passion-driven or whatever is coming through their soul, sit in stillness with your body and listen to the guidance you receive, whether that is testing different things out. How would it feel for me to stay? If you feel a little contracted and it doesn't feel good or if it feels expansive, go ahead and stay. Leave the job if that feels like everything opened up in my body. Your body is always sending you signals, whether they are subtle or in your face of crisis. Following through is having those difficult conversations. I had to have a difficult conversation with the founder. I'm like, “This isn't going to be forever for me. We need to figure out an exit plan and put the steps in place for that.” Approaching all of those conversations with a lot of love. It is not about them. This is about you and your soul's journey. The first thing that you end up doing for your business, project or anything else you are passionate about is to do it imperfectly. Do it as if it was something that you splatted on the wall and as easy as it is to paint a wall by splatting paint. You don't make it look pretty. Don't make it look perfect. Go splat and do something. When you're just getting started on something you're passionate about, do it imperfectly. Don't make it look pretty or perfect. Just do something. In entrepreneurship, we are still figuring out our way every single day. We are striving more for showing up instead of perfection. It is what builds that clarity and momentum so you can continue aligning. I love that you brought that. You did that workshop and had the conversation. I imagine she was like, “We respect what you want to do.” We are still good friends. She had a baby. I'm like, “You are an amazing founder-mama.” It is cool to have somebody like her. She is still an inspiration to what I do. After the workshop, I ended up taking some time off and traveling with my sister. We went all over Asia, Europe and Latin America. I had already done a lot of traveling. We went balls to the wall on that one. When I got back, I was like, “Let's do this.” I started taking on new coaching clients and pitching the media. I moved to New York. I was guided there. I did something that I called Dating Cities. I knew I could go anywhere. Let's see how I feel in each city that I visit. It ended up being New York for me. How was about that date that you were like, “This is the one for me?” I ended up often coming for different events that were women-focused. I love being around women. The nonprofit was very women-centric because dance tends to be a women-focused world overall, especially before professional dance and stuff like that. Pre-professional and educational dance tend to be 90% women. I have always loved being surrounded by women. The events that I went to was like one of the ones that we went to together, I noticed there were a lot of people who were like, “I lived down the street. I live in the upper Westside.” I'm like, “These people are used to events like this like another Friday. I want that.” In the fall of 2019, I moved here. It was during the pandemic. I ended up staying and it has been a fun ride. New York is an energy of expansion. New York is definitely an energy of expansion. You workshop one-on-one coaching clients and have your free masterclass. There are so many things that you are doing. I know you write and coach a lot on a money mindset. I read one of your articles and your wealth of knowledge. Someone who is in their corporate job, maybe they want to live and start their business or side hustle. It doesn't have to be living corporate or an entrepreneur who is starting out or later on. I feel this money blocks. We all have it at a certain length. What are the top three money mindset blogs that people have? How do they overcome it based on your experience? I have so many that I could talk about and it is different at every stage of entrepreneurship. You have the beginners, intermediate, people who have been in it for several years and experts that have been in it for decades and more. In the beginning, the thing that I see as the number one money block would be how can I charge for this? I love doing it. How can I do that? What do I charge? Landing on any number is going to be the best time that you spend in your first year of business. I don't particularly love to tell people to do stuff for free unless it is going to go to the masses. You don't have to put in your actual time on a one-on-one basis. Any price tag, pick a number, any number. I love to encourage people to double whatever number they first landed on. Especially women, usually in the beginning, we will tend to undercharge for what is an amazing service. I want everybody to know how amazing and credible you are. Whatever number you first thought of, maybe as I was speaking, double that. If you thought of $200, double it to maybe $500. Let's get crazy here. I had my first coaching certification in 2015. I have done one million training. I have coached people indirectly and informally. At my first client, the rate that I charged was so low because I didn't have mentorship, a coach or even an idea of what I was doing at that moment. I was charging so little that now it is more than five times what I charged the first time. We started. That is all that matters. Here is the beautiful thing about that. If anybody else has experienced something similar, put yourself on the back because at least they paid you something and something went from their bank account to yours. There was an energetic exchange that happened. Free coaching can work in some scenarios. I understand that it is not for everyone to start paid right away. I highly encourage you to think about how that would feel in your body to receive money on your first session, which I did. I'm glad that I put a price on my offer. It was like, “Yes, this is how you pay me.” Set it all up and be professional. I even had clients do Venmo. If you don't want to understand the financial background, I don't recommend doing Venmo forever. Start to do something. It can be imperfect. That will be the number one money block for people who are starting. The people who are maybe in the middle and got their client roster full see a lot of blocks around, “How do I make the same amount without spending all this time with people?” I love that my calendar is bare. I don't take on many clients. I have a group program that is fun for me. I love that and all the clients that I do have. At the same time, I don't want to be all over every single day. The reason why I started this is that I value freedom so much. Another block in the section on middle entrepreneurship is, “Can I make all that money without spending actual time doing it?” The answer is yes. A lot of people come from a corporate mindset, where you have a structured amount of time for your salary. Everyone follows the same formula of entrepreneurship. It is all about creation. You create your thing. With more experienced entrepreneurs or people that have successful businesses right out of the get-go, which I have seen happen and I love when it happens, it is so exciting, I find that the biggest money block is relishing and melting into the abundance that surrounds you. Having a moment to yourself to shut everything else down and relish the abundance. Appreciate it and use it for things that you want to invest in but stop running and give yourself a moment to appreciate how far you have come. Workaholism is a big thing in many different industries. It is not just specific to entrepreneurship. When we have been rewarded for hustling and grinding, all of that is beautiful. I encourage that to be the energy you start something with. Starting a business will require a little more of that energy. In the first few years, you will see what works. You got to try a bunch of new different things. As you grow, it will become a little easier for you. What we don't want to do is make it more difficult because you have been in the cycle of that. Everything has its challenges in hiring a team and all these other things. I want people to breathe into the abundance they have acquired. Breathe into the wealth, take it in and relish in it because it is such a gift. You worked your way to that and all these other things. You are relaxing into the energy of that if it is already here. Even if you are not at that level yet, relaxing into the energy of, “I have $1 million in my bank account. It is already here.” That energy is what we want to be doing business with. Those are the three that I see the most. At the beginning of my business, I realized that I was changing. I felt a certain attachment to the outcome. When I had a clarity call, which was a call where I understood the client's challenges and we determined if we were a good fit, if it was a no, which I have had plenty of noes because that is what entrepreneurship is, I felt defeated. Something that I realized is an attachment to the outcome is stock energy. If you think of something attached to something, it doesn't move and it is stuck. As I progress through this entrepreneurial journey, I'm showing up giving my best to the highest intention of the person on the screen to add value to them. If it happens, great. I did my best and I believe I added value. If it doesn't, it is for the highest intention too. I have seen myself in that money mindset. It is incredible to tap into that energy and this takes me to spirituality. What I love about your business is that you integrate this energy healer that you are with business coaching. Two are tied to it because they are all together. Tell us to talk about this energy. It is so funny that you mentioned your clarity calls because I was editing a video that is a meditation for sales calls. It is like intro calls or discovery calls. I said those exact words. I will send it to you. All that attachment to the outcome, all other things and how it feels in the body to connect with this person. I know we are in sync. The reason why I agree with you and have made it a big part of who I am and how I should do business and in life is that we are the embodiment of Shakti and Shiva's energy. Shakti is that creation energy, the vibes of the juicy yumminess that carries all of us through life and that keeps us alive. If we didn't have lymph, like the liquid that helps our lymph nodes, if we didn't have blood, fat, muscle and other tissues, how would we walk through the world at all? Shiva is the manifestation energy of the things we want to create and the action that we take to create the things that are going to become into form. We are an embodiment of both. Whether we relate to one over the other, more or less, it is still part of who we are as people. We all have elements of both. What I do is a perfect blend of soul and strategy of like, “I'm not going to tell you that this is the exact right way to do X, Y, Z because I know that this is a way and your soul is going to guide you to either morph that into your way, take that way or discover a new way.” Having guidance that is clear, direct and strategic, along with somebody who is reflecting your soul back to you, I cannot think of a better blend for anything at all. I love what you said about guidance because that is what a coach is. A coach guides you to access your inner wisdom within yourself because we understand there is not one perfect way to do things. We are projecting as coaches. We are still human beings. We have our filters but we have the tools, questioning skills and everything to guide you there. I love that you mentioned that aspect of coaching. Coaching is not mentorship. There can be a blend of mentorship but it is mainly guiding you on how to access those answers within yourself. Sometimes it is stuff that cannot be said. I find that you have this element to yourself of this healer-type energy. We have intuitive hits about what is going on and what they need to hear. We are also being guided as the guide. It is this cyclical process of everyone being guided all at once. The divine and our ancestors are involved. The beautiful part is the energy behind all of this is sometimes unspoken and at times, unconsciously the wall between you and what you want. I did a podcast interview with somebody who started her podcast. She decided, “It will be fun if we do a demonstration of energy healing.” I love energy healing for entrepreneurs specifically and business coaching falls into that when it is time for that. I feel there is resistance to an outcome. We feel like there is a limitation on the money that they think they can make or they are upset about something a client or colleague did. I feel like there is stuck energy. I will usually ask them, “Where do you feel that in your body?” We will dive in together. As a practitioner, I have different techniques and all these other things to help them get it out of their system as fast and lovingly as possible. We are not trying to like, “Out of here.” We are trying to soothe the nervous system and make sure that any energy that is not serving you is replaced with energy that is. We have all felt moments where we have been so light in the body, open and expansive. Everything flows better when your channel is open. For this particular podcast host, it was interesting because it was there. I didn't want to let go. After twenty minutes with her, I have a feeling it is right on the brink. It went to her throat. She was like, “It is in my throat.” I'm like, “Open your mouth. Let's take it out.” Energy moves in ways that are so interesting and subtle but when we tune in, it is simple. If you put your hand on top of your head a little bit above and not touching, you will feel a cool breeze or heat. If you feel a cool breeze, your channel is open. What do you feel now? When your channels are open, your body will feel so light, open, and expansive. Everything seems to flow better. I feel something dense. There is something there. In terms of temperature, I feel cooler. Not warm. I love all the energy stuff. The ways that we can make it tangible is when we put it into practice for our daily lives and business duties. Going back to this blend and duality, that is where the magic lies. When you feel like, “I am magnetic. My energy is off the hook,” and nothing is blocking you from where you want to go, that is the best feeling in the world and what we are always going for. When you are in that moment, what I feel is that I start observing more synchronicities or signs of communication like, “You are on the right path.” I love googling the numbers. All the numbers stay the same. Your spiritual guide is telling you that you are on the right path. No matter what the number is, that is my conclusion. Keep going. You are on the right path. I feel motivated. What are your go-to daily practices? It is funny that you started talking about that because I was thinking that I was going to ask you that. We are fully connected here. As a daily practice, I move my body in some way every day. This does not have to mean I never go to the gym. It just doesn't call to me in the way it calls to other people. Some people love the gym. My sister loves the gym. She loves weightlifting. I look at the machines. They are all gray and boring to me. You dance well. She is a dancer. You need to follow her Instagram. She is dancing on the floor and top of the ceiling. That is why I feel so deeply connected to my body and how I move it. The things that have worked best for me are things like dance. It is free-flowing, like stretching, yoga and cardio, that gets me excited. I don't even know that I'm exercising-type stuff. I love going to the discoteca and bouncing into parejo. I am into that. I will get a ratchet on a dance floor all the way. That is the best practice. It is open except for Daybreaker but that is every four months. It's like your own dance party or your movement practice because there are many different ways to move it and get unstuck if you feel like you are in a rut or you're not quite sure what is going on, you are not getting what you want or things are not going quite the way that you want them to. It is a great way to move energy, as well as sound, movement and energy healing practices with a practitioner. Breathwork is going to be great for activating all the different nodes and channels in your body. The sound is amazing when you have throat stuff happening. A lot of times, my mom is feeling off. She has some stuck energy in her throat. Sound and voicing things out, whether that is singing, yelling or anything that gets the sound and the energy moving through your body using your whole diaphragm because that will help to clear the energetic channels. Movement is one thing I do every day in some way, shape or form because our bodies are meant to move. It gets the blood flowing through the body and the blood carries energy. That is what carries a lot of the energy in our bodies anyways. Orgasm is when there is a lot of blood flow to that specific region. All of a sudden, it will lift and leave the region. Apparently, that is orgasm. That is what is happening on a physical level. That is the case not just for root chakra orgasms but also for energetic orgasms. I have had an energetic orgasm in my heart chakra and it felt the same. I'm like, “What is going on? This is an advanced energy.” It is a total energetic release. You open up and take a deep breath that you didn't take in. It came through you, this breath from the divine and it opens your body up. It feels like ecstasies. We think of sexual energy when it comes to orgasms but many spiritual practices seek to develop that orgasmic energy. We are going to advance here. Even in men, there are many spiritual practices where men don't have to ejaculate to have an orgasm. It is what you explain orgasm is. It is that energy that gets there and leaves. It is wild to think of. That is one way that energy felt extremely great for people. People feel that. Many people haven't explored that energy of joy and happiness in an orgasmic way. It is relevant. The more you access that, the more you can attract abundance in a financial and everything way, every single thing. It is becoming orgasmic in many ways. It is like a money orgasm and a food orgasm. It is a pleasure that you get. I tell you, that Egyptian restaurant with all those white roses, when I put that food in my mouth, I was like, “Orgasm.” When we are able to feel pleasure in our bodies in various ways, this could be a sensory pleasure. Even massages and drinking water is pleasurable when we take the time to sip and be like, “I love my H2O and listening to music.” I know you have been hyped about Shakira. If you haven't listened to the Shakira song, BZRP, it is strong. It is empowering that way. These are strong words. I have never seen Shakira that way. I'm going to assume some things happen that we don't know. I love when we are surprised by artists or anybody. I didn't realize this was a part of what you did and that is when I realized I needed to be a lot more public about what I did with clients in private or on my own in private. Linking back to the journey, whatever people feel like they might be, “That is a little weird or taboo. I'm not sure I should say those things.” I have said things that people have had reactions to. Even the word witch, which roots back to the phrase that means wise woman. All that you want to do whenever you are speaking of taboo things is bring wisdom through you. People who are open to it will hear the truth, whatever truth that is for them. I believe everything can coexist like religion, spirituality and non-spiritual. All things coexist because here we are. We are alive on the planet. Who knows how we got here but we are here. We are living, breathing souls. There are beautiful elements to all of these practices and rituals. Anything that you feel is meant to come through you like Shakira and this different dimension of her artistry. Whatever you feel is meant to come out into the world and surprise people, please, whatever you do, whether you are in business for yourself or not, keep surprising yourself and others with the things in your soul. I know for a fact if you are reading this and you are in Yanet's world that you got so much to offer and you have much different fun. I'm wearing this rainbow sweatshirt thing. What we are here to exemplify for everybody is making sure that we don't cut any parts of ourselves off because we don't think it will fit. That is such a powerful way to conclude this episode. Kimberly, I need to bring you back. We need to talk about more topics because we can have an episode for a year between you and me talking. I appreciate you being here. I always conclude with a rapid-fire question to all my guests. I ask you whatever comes to mind and the first thing that comes to mind. What is your favorite book? The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran. “It is an ancient teaching, copied and recopied countless times, and from it Lakshmanjoo has made the beginnings of an English version. I transcribe it eleven more times to get it into the form given here.”Shiva first chanted it to his consort Devi in a language of love we have yet to learn. It is about the immanent experience. It presents 112 ways to open the invisible door of consciousness. I see Lakshmanjoo gives his life to its practicing. Some of the ways may appear redundant, yet each differs from any other. Some may seem simple, yet any one requires constant dedication even to test it. Machines, ledgers, dancers, athletes balance. Just as centering or balance augments various skills, so it may awareness. As an experiment, try standing equally on both feet; then imagine you are shifting your balance slightly from foot to foot: just as balance centers, do you.”A Dharana is a focal point, a method of practice. We use a dharana to find our center, but our center is not in the dharana, our center is in our own state of being. That's why the preface to the Vijnana Bhairava took so much time explain that techniques are just the doorway, not the destination. It may be helpful to look at Patanjali's explanation of the word Dharana as well, to see the transition we make from focal point to experience:3.1-3.4Dharana, or concentration, is the act of fixing the mind on one thing. Here there is a perceived separation between the object and the practitioner. Dhyana, or meditation, is when the focus of dharana becomes a steady, uninterrupted flow of attention. Here the separation between the practitioner and the object dissolves. Samadhi is when, in the practice of dhyana, both the practitioner and the object of focus dissolve into the Self. Then there is no such thing as practitioner or object, only absorption in the Self. These three limbs are grouped together because the difference between them is very slight, they may not all happen in a clear sequence, and they may intermingle. Together they comprise a practice called sanyama (integration). So once again we see the path we must tread, from an outer object of focus, to an uninterrupted flow of awareness, to our state of being. This recalls the original question from Shakti/Devi at the start of the preface, what is the path we must tread to our enlightenment? And after 8 classes together, Shiva answers quite simply— Energy is the path we must tread. These techniques are ways of helping us work with energy— they may begin on the horizontal level, but ultimately they exist to guide us on a vertical plane. With this we can begin the Dharanas themselves, via Paul Reps translation:“DEVI SAYS: O Shiva, what is your reality? What is this wonder-filled universe? What constitutes seed? Who centers the universal wheel? What is this life beyond form pervading forms? How may we enter it fully, above space and time, names and descriptions? Let my doubts be cleared! SHIVA REPLIES: (Devi, though already enlightened, has asked the foregoing questions so others through the universe might receive Shiva's instructions. Now follow Shiva's reply, giving the 112 ways.) 1. Radiant one, this experience may dawn between two breaths. After breath comes in (down) and just before turning up (out)—the beneficence.”Para devi or Highest Sakti who is of the nature of visargagoes on (ceaselessly) expressing herself upward (ürdhve) (from the centre of the body to dvdasanta, or a distance of twelve fingers, in the form of exhalation (präna) and downward (adhah) (from dvadasanta to the centre of the body) in the form of inhalation (jiva or apâna). By steady fixation of the mind (bharanat) at the two places of their origin (viz., centre of the body in the case of prāna and dvadasänta in the case of apâna, there is the situation of plenitude (bharitästhitih which is the state of parasakti or nature of Bhairava). This Dharana has points that we will unpack together:Shakti is the nature of Visarga and expresses herself in two points, the center of the body and the dvadashantaBy steady fixation on these two points there is an experience of plentitudeThis practice is known as Ham SahPara devi or Highest Sakti who is of the nature of visarga goes on (ceaselessly) expressing herself upward (ürdhve) (from the centre of the body to dvdasanta, or a distance of twelve fingers, in the form of exhalation (präna) and downward (adhah) (from dvadasanta to the centre of the body) in the form of inhalation (jiva or apâna). We begin by seeing a term that may be new to you, ‘visarga' which is used in the Dharana to describe the nature of Shakti, of manifestation, as well as the movement of our inhale and exhale. Visarga is a Sanskrit sounds, a breath that is inserted after certain vowels and before certain consonants. For example, when we repeat the mantra Om Namah Shivaya, you've probably been taught or have noticed that there is a breath after the Namah, which I sometimes pronounced Nam-aha. That breath is an example of a Visarga sound. In Devanagari, this is represented by two dots, like a colon. These two dots are more than just a method of writing, but actually refer to the energetic destination points of the inhale and the exhale in our physical and subtle bodies. Yet another reason Sanskrit is such a profound language— it is born from the practice. The bottom dot represents the inhale, known as Apana, because it ends in the heart. The upper dot represents the exhale, known as Prana, because it ends outside the body, slightly above the heart.

Sunday, 12 February 2023 Now when the people saw what Paul had done, they raised their voices, saying in the Lycaonian language, “The gods have come down to us in the likeness of men!” Acts 14:11 The wording of the NKJV does not give the proper sense of the verse. It should more closely read, “And the crowds, having seen what Paul did, lifted up their voice, Lycaonially, saying, ‘The gods, having become like men, came down unto us'” (CG). This will be used to evaluate the verse. In response to Paul's authoritative words for the cripple at Lystra to stand up straight and walk, the man did just that. With that, the crowds were obviously amazed. As such, Luke records their reaction, saying, “And the crowds, having seen what Paul did.” Paul was preaching the gospel to a crowd of indeterminate size. However, when people preach, there will be different levels of attention being paid by those in the area. Some may listen intently, some may be curious and listen while fiddling around with their children, and some may just be passing by without paying much attention. Therefore, the actual crowd in the area could have been larger than those closely heeding Paul's words. However, with Paul stopping his preaching, calling out to a cripple to be healed, and the cripple suddenly being healed, everyone would stop and observe what was going on. This is especially so because the healed crippled walked and continued walking, as the verb indicated. While doing so, every eye would be on him as he stepped and rejoiced, probably lifting up his voice with each step. In response to this amazing sight, the crowd followed suit, as Luke next notes, saying that they “lifted up their voice, Lycaonially.” The word translated here as Lycaonially is an adverb. To get the closest sense, this word was coined for the commentary. The point is that Paul was surely speaking in Greek. That can be inferred from the change to the native dialect. As they started shouting in their own language, it revealed a couple things. First, it is natural when suddenly amazed or stupefied for someone to return to his natural, default language. This is something seen anywhere one travels. It is how spies were identified during WWII. Those suspected of spying were tested in various ways, including suddenly surprising them to see if they reacted in their native language. Second, it made it more likely that those who didn't speak Greek would be able to hear and understand the magnificence of what they had to say, thus increasing the state of arousal of all in the area. For these, and whatever other reasons, it is evident that neither Paul nor Barnabas spoke in the Lycaonian tongue. This can be deduced from the delay in their petitions coming up in verse 14. As such, it explains what Paul was saying in 1 Corinthians 14:18, where he says, “I thank my God I speak with tongues more than you all.” The tongues Paul refers to were not supernaturally given for him to evangelize wherever he went. Rather, he would normally speak the lingua franca of the empire, Greek. The tongues he refers to in 1 Corinthians are the many languages and dialects that he had learned throughout his life. As for the ongoing narrative, Luke next continues, noting that the people were “saying, ‘The gods.'” Those of the crowds around them had either not heard Paul's speech or they had not paid attention to it. They were caught up in the belief that there were many gods instead of the one God that Paul proclaimed. Because of this, and because of the miracle that had occurred which they assumed had been accomplished by Paul personally, they thought he and Barnabas must be a couple of those many gods, saying, “having become like men.” The notion of gods assuming the form of man was not an uncommon theme in Greek writings, and it is found in many cultures of the world. Even today, the Japanese believe that their emperor is of divine descent. At the end of WWII, Hirohito had to give up his claim to divinity, but this does not mean that his line is not still considered divine. And more, there are people who follow supposed gods around the world elsewhere today. For example, Kumari, or Kumari Devi, is supposedly the Living Goddess. This is a tradition of worshipping a particular virgin as a manifestation of the divine female energy (Shakti) in Dharmic religious customs. Others claim to be the Messiah, the Mahdi, or other divine manifestations of a god. This has been the case throughout human history. As for those in Lystra, they believed that Paul and Barnabas were gods who, as they said, “came down unto us.” This is another aspect of the divine that is almost universally understood. The gods are above, and those on the earth are below. The symbolism itself permeates Scripture. There is the heavenly, which is above, and there is the earthly below. The gods coming down, then, is a part of the universal conscience of man going all the way back to the Garden of Eden where the Lord was in the garden with Adam and Eve. It is a state that is anticipated to be restored someday – “And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, ‘Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.'” Revelation 21:3 This is what those in Lystra believed had happened with the coming of Paul and Barnabas. They assumed that the divine gods had come among them, having missed the intent of the apostles' words that proclaimed the One true God. Paul and Barnabas had proclaimed Christ and they were His sent ones to bring them out of pagan darkness and into His light. Life application: The account of Paul and Barnabas here in Acts 14 gives a clear indication that the tongues (meaning languages) he speaks of in 1 Corinthians 14 are not supernatural gobbledygook supposedly spoken by charismatics today. These are false tongues intended to bring glory to self and inclusion in a body that is unsound in its theology. Their utterings are not “divinely inspired,” nor are they “the tongues of angels.” They are nonsensical gibberish that distract from the beauty of what God has done in the giving of Jesus for all nations, tribes, and tongues of the world. True tongues will always be a known language. At the time of the apostles, some were given divine utterances as a validation of the coming of the Spirit. With the completion of the Bible, these are no longer necessary. The record has been given, the details confirm the word, and we now must learn the language of those we intend to evangelize. Nothing else will do. If you want to know the biblical languages, get to work and study. If you want to be a missionary in a foreign land, you will need to learn the language of the land you go to. Again, nothing else will do. Lord God, there is a world full of people who need Jesus. Give us the desire and the ability to get the word out to them in a manner so they can understand that He is the answer to our deepest needs. May we be willing to expend ourselves to further this wonderful gospel message while there is time to do so. To Your glory, we pray. Amen.

Shakti is the face of Shiva, ie. we can only recognize Shiva by using our practice in the face of manifestation. When we feel a non-difference between these two, we acquire a state of Shiva, we enter the door of our true nature. “When in one who enters the state of Shakti, there ensues the feeling of non-distinction (bet-ween Shakti and Shiva), then that yogi acquires the state of Shiva, for inthe agamas, she (Sakti) is declared as the door of entrance (into Shiva) (Lit., Shakti is like Shiva's face)'”We work on our cushions, with our techniques, as preparation for our work in the face of manifestation, Shakti. We spend time looking inside so that we can look inside while we live outside. And vice versa, we go out into our lives in order to grow inside. Technique alone, meditation in a cave setting, or samsara alone, just going through the motions of life, are both missing the union of shiva and shakti, and it is in this union where growth happens. It is like a cooking flame and a kettle, they need each other to achieve their purpose. Together, they cook down our karma and extract the nourishment and growth. And it is this Union that is at the heart of this text, it is its title and its purpose. Shiva concludes the preface with an additional take on the metaphor given earlier, teaching that there is no shiva or shakti apart from one another, they are one in the same— “Just as by means of the light of a lamp, and the rays of the Sun, portions of space, etc, are known even so, Oh dear one, by means of Shakti is Shiva (one's own essential Self) cognized (i.e. re-cognized).”Jai Deva Singh helps us interpret this last line by looking at it from a few different perspectives:“There are three points suggested by this simile (1) Just as the flame of the lamp is not different from its light; just as the rays of the sun are not different from the sun, even so Shakti is not different from Siva…”This seems like an easy point to agree with and understand, but I feel there is a lot of work required for true recognition. When we are describing inert things like light, it is easy to agree that ‘this too is shiva', but when you have a misunderstanding with someone at work, and there is a lot of emotion, then it becomes much harder to find Shiva, a state of perfection, within what would otherwise feel very imperfect. This is because the ability to recognize Shiva within manifestation takes surrender, takes practice. When we apply our practice to all the various circumstances of our lives, only then, it seems, do we start to see all these circumstances as Shiva. As Swami Rudrananda teaches: “We must come to understand that everything is part of perfection and must be taken in in a state of surrender; it must be digested and transcended. Life must be consumed whole— with all its tensions, pain and joy. Only by surmounting a situation can we achieve the understanding, the nourishment, that that situation offers…My spirit grew by eating that which encompassed me.”(2) Just as through the lamp or the sun, objects of the world are perceived, even so through Shakti the universe is known. Point Two : This reiterates the earlier point that we recognize Shiva through SHaktik that Shakti is Shiva's face. The cooking flame needs the kettle, the kettle needs the cooking flame, they are two sides of one coin— the coin of digesting our karma and growing from it. (3) Just as to perceive the light of the lamp, another lamp is not required; just as to perceive the sun, another sun is not required; they are known by their own light. Even so, shiva is known by his Shakti who is not different from him.”The path of our practice, the path to the heart, is already within us. As Babaji said at the end of one of his satsang answers, “I am not giving you anything you do not already have. I am just making you aware of what is already there.” This path is more than personal, its our true nature. And it is the light of our own awareness that eventually illuminates this inner landscape— when the light of our awareness, which usually shines out, also shines back in. The Sutras and the lineage can point the way, can provide examples and direction, but the lights of this path are motion activated— only the footsteps of our practice can turn them on. We will eventually become enlightened not by someone else's work, but by our own work.
Though there are many forms of fire, from a cooking flame to a heating element, from lightening to the light of your room, all of these forms of fire belong to the same energy of fire— in the same way all the different forms of Shakti that we see around us are all forms of Shiva, they are non-different from Shiva. The analogy becomes even more profound, though, when Shiva teaches that the purpose of all these different forms is to ‘enter into that state of fire', or to enter into the state of Shiva. We use a cooking flame to heat a kettle, or a light to illuminate a room— we don't just sit there and look at the flame or light on its own— in this same way, Shiva suggests, we use meditation techniques to enter into the state of our true nature, not to just look at it or think about it. We took time at the end of class to consider times in our life when we simply don't believe that ‘this too is Shiva'— when a crazy driver cuts you off, for instance, or when you are so tired in the morning and don't have the energy to practice. Hopefully the study of this verse gave you the inspiration you needed to grow through that challenge— and perhaps you had an experience of discovering that ‘indeed, this too is Shiva.'[Time for sharing and discussion]The teachings of “this too is Shiva” continue with us into Verse 20 where we see a new analogy helping us to understand the non-dualistic possibility of “all this indeed being Shiva”…Verse 20: “When in one who enters the state of Shakti (i.e. who is identi-fied with Shakti), there ensues the feeling of non-distinction (bet-ween Shakti and Shiva), then that yogi acquires the state of Shiva, (for) inthe agamas (iha), she (Sakti) is declared as the door of entrance(into Shiva) (Lit., Shakti is like Shiva's face)'”When we sit with a murti, we are practicing uniting Shakti and shiva. The murti is an external object, yet as practitioners we know it is also a doorway to an inner experience. So we look softly externally while feeling softly internally. It's not automatic, it takes practice to see both, but as the text says, when you can feel shiva while perceiving Shakti, you acquire the state of your true nature. To help visualize this we can consider the principles of Prakasha and vimarhsa, which are fundamental aspects of Kashmir Shaivism. As the intro do Kashmir Shaivism teaches, “Kashmir Shaivism constructs a pure monism which assumes a single Reality with two aspects, Prakasha (lit. light, the principle of self-revelation) and Vimarsha (lit. experience, the self-consciousness which brings about the world process).” p. 3Prakasha is the light of awareness that emanates from us, like the light that emanates from the sun. Vimarsha is the reflection of that light off of an external object back to us— the power of self reflection. In physics we know that when we shine light on an object, it is the light that reflects back to us that we see. For example, when driving on a rainy night it can be hard to see the road in front of you because the light bounces forward on the shiney wet surface, instead of reflecting back to you— sometimes you even wonder if your headlights are even on at all. Shiva without Shakti is like that— light shining out without anything to reflect it back within. Shakti, Manifestation, is what makes it possible to recognize Shiva, our true nature. But only if you apply your practice, the practice of seeing shakti while feeling shiva.

What is Shaktipat? It is a powerful, spiritual impartation that some yogis claim to be able to transfer to their disciples. According to Hindu lore, it is an instant awakening of God-consciousness. But what really happens and what does it have to do with the goddess Shakti? Furthermore, what does any of that have to do with Satan being celebrated at the Grammy Awards? There's a lot of Sanskrit mantras out there on YouTube, but one must be careful especially if they don't know the source of who's teaching them or where they are coming from, especially with love mantras. We never want to chant to manipulate or use another person as the object of our mantra.Sanskrit is a very powerful tool for self improvement. It is the Yoga of Sound.Sanskrit is the oldest language on the planet, called "Deva Lingua," the mother of tongues or the language of the gods. The Sanskrit alphabet has 50 letters, which is the same number of petals on the first six chakras, energy centers located along the spine. When we chant Sanskrit mantras many magical things can happen. We may feel physical healing in our bodies, illumination of consciousness and other sensations such as energy goosebumps, of "spiritual confirmation," or kundalini rising.Chanting mantras activate "Shakti," a Sanskrit term for the Divine Feminine life force. Shakti can be transmitted from Gurus or teachers to students and from healers to receivers.TO IMPROVE SELF LOVE:1) “OM EIM HRIM KLIM CHAMUNDAYE VICH”CHAE NAMAHAOm I'm Hreem Kleem Chah-moon-dah-yeh Vee-cheh Nah-mah-hah)2) SEED MANTRA “KLIM”Klim is the seed for the principle of attraction. The collective is calling us to remember our roots. The spiritual path can sometimes feel lonely and unsettling as your Spirit elevates to an expanded state of consciousness. The ego presents itself as resistance, and the activation itself is a divine dance of Shiva and Shakti, or the masculine and feminine weaving to bring yourself back to a state of equanimity. In the most memorable conversation to date I have had on this podcast, words cannot express the deep emotions I felt in connection with Rukmani and the essence of her pure soul. Since finding her serendipitously as a devout listener of her podcast, The Rise of the Feminine, I longed to be in her energy and get to know the woman behind her powerful voice. She has a way of connecting to your heart chakra and awakening your aura, where time and space boundaries are limitless, and you, the listener, can become a part of this Kundalini experience with us in conversation. In Rukmani's words, I exist, yet I don't, which asks us to question our very existence and aliveness on the physical + spiritual realms. To feel what it truly feels like to be held in the womb of your own transformation, and feel deeply supported by Mother Moon + Father Sun, in reverence. Come heal your heart, and release your ancestral and collective wounds with us, and experience a LIVE channelling session with Rukmani herself later in the episode! "It is an honor to witness and support other sisters as I had no real (physical) support when the Kundalini Awakening first happened. I had to figure it all out myself by surrendering to Source. I am glad I did though, so I can be the difference in others' lives; the difference I wanted to have when I struggled." - Rukmani KaurAbout Rukmani: Born and raised in Lima, Perú, Rukmani battled with anorexia, bulimia, depression and anxiety for a big part of her life. During the darkest moments when she was massively suicidal, that she found her light. It was then that she began to trust her being and the Energetic Realms fully opened up to her leading to a Kundalini Awakening. The Awakening led Rukmani through deep shadow work in order to remember her power and awaken.Highly intuitive and a Divine Channel, Rukmani guides sisters through their Spiritual Awakening Process in order to remember their power and story. She does so by connecting the Personal Consciousness with the Conscious Field to activate the Remembrance of who we truly are. This activation is what guides the Awakening Process to be more gentle and smooth since it is the unconditional love of existence itself. Rukmani uses different kinds of Light Languages and Divine Sounds as well as Shamanic Practices, Plant Medicine, Visualization, Meditation and Pranayama techniques, to mention a few.Connect with Rukmani: IG @ DivinePortalAlchemist https://www.instagram.com/divineportalalchemistEmail: info@rukmanikaur.com Website: www.rukmanikaur.comListen to her Podcast: The Rise of the Feminine hereBlog: Kundaliniawakeningsupport.comSupport the showConnect with me: Instagram @mozen_wellness, click here to DMExplore the Live Vibrant Sisterhood hereWebsite: https://bio.site/mozenwellness

It can be felt on the pathless-path up the mountain, and once you reach the summit, you'll find that there isn't a 'you' feeling this Love, there's only Love. Only God. And in and AS That, you abide. Sex fascinates us. Whether we turn toward it, flushed and excited or away from it, tense and disquieted. Archetypal images of sex adorn the thresholds of ancient temples and inform most mythological systems. Shiva and Shakti, in their union, create the universe – she's providing all forms for his undifferentiated light. The gods beget gods as they mate, giving rise to infinite imagistic permutations of cosmic and personal qualities. These religious images of creation and pleasure inform our individual psyche granting sexuality a numinous intensity. Human culture shapes our initial attitudes toward sex. When infused with monotheistic religious feeling, sex is held as a sacrament subject to the rites and rituals believed to protect the couple from its overwhelming power and god's jealous monitoring of the behavior. Polytheistic religions generated a multiplicity of god-forms and related myths to reflect a wide variety of possible relationships to sex and its outcomes. Pan, the lusty fertility god of the rut, Aphrodite the mistress of beauty and refined passion, Anteros the god of love returned, and Pothos, the god of sexual yearning – the infinite diversities of sexual expression, were held by related images and protectively tended by their devotees. With the age of enlightenment that inevitably led to the current juggernaut of science and empirical attitude, we disposed of the archetypal images of sex, driving them into our personal and collective shadow. Defenses like shame and resentment keep the gods of sex at bay. At war within our bodies, they cause genital tissue to ossify and choke off requisite blood flow. Freud was foremost in the battle to understand and liberate trapped sexual forces. As a neurologist, odd cases of functional disorders came to his attention – a patient who mysteriously could not feel a limb or a loss of sight without organic cause. His rigorous exploration of symptoms and personal narrative led him to a theory of psychosexual development which clarified how sexual energy, when thwarted, could lead to a host of mental and physical suffering or neurosis. Jung expanded the theory, suggesting there were many kinds of psychic energy, in addition to sex, that produced symptoms when trapped by unnatural attitudes or traumatic interference. He accepted the creative reality of sexuality and was an early champion of sexual diversity and self-determination. As moderns, we have tried to liberate sex by reducing it to a transaction, making it subordinary and thus non-threatening. Kinsey championed the natural fluidity of sexuality by surveying and analyzing personal erotic experiences and publishing them – he tried to restore consciousness to the diversity of sexual themes, hoping it would broaden modern attitudes and cultivate acceptance. The chorus of explainers now spans widely from biopsychosocial researchers to evolutionary psychologists, gender role theorists, to social constructionists. Add to that list theologists, talk show hosts, and podcasters, and we can all agree – we can't seem to take our eyes off sex. Here's the Dream We Analyze: “I was running a marathon in the desert. First, I saw pueblos, familiar from an old dream. Then I saw a sleeping dragon, then a stack of rainbow-colored rocks. Finally, I entered a taqueria, and the man behind the stand gave me a sugar-covered tortilla. Then a woman with a veil came in.” REFERENCES: From Freud to Jung: A Comparative Study of the Psychology of the Unconscious by Liliane Frey-Rohn. https://a.co/d/63atnIv Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus: The Classic Guide to Understanding the Opposite Sex Paperback by John Gray. https://a.co/d/4ZWjSmW The Kinsey Institute, https://kinseyinstitute.org/ GIVE US A HAND! We can learn a lot about eroticism through our sexual nature but it is not the only way that we can experience Eros in life. If you think of your most exciting sexual experiences where you were just in your most vital, primal nature, where the rapture is so expansive and insatiable until you reach this moment of climax where you're meeting God, and everything feels like light is exploding all over the place, and your brain entirely turns off. If you think of those moments and you apply the same kind of idea to a regular moment that has nothing to do with sex at all, what kind of vibration are you inviting into a space if you're doing that? - Vylana Marcus Are You Stressed Out Lately? Power Quotes From The Show The Transmutation "When the energy has the permission to fully move in this full cycle where you're holding nothing back, what typically happens is that it unveils the sadness, and the grief, and the fear that anger is protecting. The energy of your tears is the transmutation." - Vylana Marcus Light And Dark Sides "I can stand here and look at you, and I have done the work to know so deeply who I am in all of my light and my dark, and I know who I am enough to set a boundary and say, 'No, I don't accept to participate in the world in this way against the patriarchy.' " - Vylana Marcus Being Of The Highest Service "How can I be of the highest service at this time, in this present moment? It's not a practice that's reaching, and grabbing, and trying to push forward, and make it happen. If you're really in that kind of energy, it takes away your ability to listen to the more subtle whispers. When you're pushing and being so active like that, the tendency is for it to come through your mind. There's so much more that we have available if we can slow down, listen for a moment, and actually ask for guidance through our heart." - Vylana Marcus Links From Today's Show Vylana Rise Of The Goddess (Film) Goddess Rise (Album) by Vylana 123 Aubrey Marcus: Own The Day Hawaiian Goddess Madame Pele Hindu Goddess Kali Ma Into The Fire (Song) by Vylana 437 Josh Trent | Death & Rebirth: Why I'm Saying Goodbye to Wellness Force… The Sofia Code by Kaia Ra 422 Ian Clark | 1,000 Days To Live: Using Nature's Wisdom to Turn on Your Wellness Epigenetics Rabbi Marc Gafni Layla Martin Pussy: A Reclamation by Regena Thomashauer 369 Paul Chek | All Is God: Three Part Series The Red Book by Carl Jung How To Prepare For True Love with Aubrey & Vylana Marcus | Aubrey Marcus Podcast Shop the Wellness Force Media Store breathwork.io PLUNGE – Save $150 with the code “WELLNESSFORCE" HIGHER DOSE INFRARED MAT - Get 15% off with the code “WELLNESSFORCE15“ Organifi – Special 20% off to our listeners with the code ‘WELLNESSFORCE' MitoZen – Save 10% with the code “WELLNESSFORCE” Paleovalley – Save 15% on your ACV Complex with the code ‘JOSH' NOOTOPIA - Save 10% with the code "JOSH10" Activation Products – Save 20% with the code “WELLNESSFORCE” NEUVANA - Save 15% with the code “WELLNESSFORCE” SENSATE - Save $25 on your order with the code "JOSH25" DRY FARM WINES - Get an extra bottle of Pure Natural Wine with your order for just 1¢ CHILISLEEP - Save 25% on Josh's favorite ChiliSleep products with the code "JOSH" ION - Save 15% off sitewide with the code ‘JOSH1KS' TOUPS - Save 15% with the code "JOSH" Feel Free from Botanic Tonics – Save 40% when you use the code ‘WELLNESS40′ Drink LMNT – Zero Sugar Hydration: Get your free LMNT Sample Pack, with any purchase BREATHE - Save 20% by using the code “PODCAST20” Essential Oil Wizardry: Save 10% with the code ‘WELLNESSFORCE' MY GREEN MATTRESS - Save up to $125 on your order with the code "JOSH" NEUROHACKER - Save 15% with the code "WELLNESSFORCE" ALIVE WATER - Save 33% on your first order with the code "JOSH33" M21 Wellness Guide Wellness Force Community Leave Wellness + Wisdom a review on Apple Podcasts Vylana Instagram YouTube Fit For Service ABOUT VYLANA MARCUS Vylana Marcus is a medicine woman, singer, Tahitian dancer, and Fit For Service fellowship coach.
