In this episode, Craig turns our attention to an often-overlooked dimension of meditation practice: our emotional lives. We're often taught that the biggest obstacle in meditation is our thinking mind—our thoughts, beliefs, and judgments. But strong emotions can be just as impactful, and often even more so.When we sit to practice, we may be subtly trying to feel better, hoping meditation will deliver peace or bliss. But what happens when we stop trying to fix how we feel—and begin to fully feel without needing to react, interpret, or escape? In this episode, The Practice of Emotional Freedom, Craig invites us into a radical kind of contentment. One that doesn't come from avoiding our emotions, but from no longer being ruled by them.Together, we'll explore how to release preference, suspend interpretation, and rest in the deeper ground of being where true emotional freedom becomes possible. We encourage you to tune in at a time when you can listen without interruption. To access the full transcript of this episode and discover more resources, visit the episode page on MeditationChangesEverything.com. In this heartfelt sermon from Rev. Ryan Gawrych, the congregation is invited into the deep affection and Christ-centered joy the Apostle Paul expresses for the Philippians. Drawing from Philippians 1:3–11, Rev. Gawrych explores how gospel partnerships create lasting spiritual bonds marked by gratitude, prayer, and mutual encouragement. He emphasizes that Christian fellowship isn't merely social, but spiritual—rooted in our shared participation in the grace of God.Rev. Gawrych also unpacks Paul's confident prayer that God will complete the good work He began in His people. Through this lens, listeners are challenged to see themselves and others not as unfinished projects to be judged, but as beloved co-laborers in whom God is faithfully working. The sermon concludes with a call to pray for one another with affection, asking God to grow our love in knowledge and discernment so we may walk in holiness and bear fruit to the glory of Christ.

Ruth: Meditations on God's Kindness (Part 2)Ruth 1:8-22There is a common expression that asks the question, “Is the glass half empty or half full?” Someone who says the glass is half-empty is said to have a negative outlook. They only see what's missing or lacking, they have a generally pessimistic perspective. The other side is someone who looks at that same glass and declares that it is “half-full”. This view indicates someone who sees the potential, or what is already in possession. They are generally optimistic and hopeful, able to encourage and boost the morale of others. As believers we are equipped with God's own Spirit that enables us to perpetually see the glass as half-full. There is always hope, always a reason for joy and peace beyond understanding. But what about when life circumstances leave us feeling empty? When it seems there isn't any hope to be found? What do we do and where do we go? Tomorrow morning, come find out what truth God has for you and how you can find true hope when all else seems empty.
When George W. Bush created the PEPFAR program in 2003, it was celebrated by evangelical leaders and has saved more than 26 million lives in Africa from HIV/AIDS. So why weren't evangelicals outraged when Donald Trump killed PEPFAR, which has already resulted in over 75,000 deaths since January? Phil, Skye, and Kaitlyn unpack the arguments for and against PEPFAR, and how evangelical support for “small government” only applies to some programs. Then, Katilyn talks to Sharon Hodde Miller about what the self-esteem movement gets wrong about insecurity, and how we can recover the Christian virtue of service and self-forgetfulness. Venerable Robina gives a teaching on Attachment & Emptiness during the Lawudo Trek in Nepal. One way of presenting these levels of practice which are expressed in this packaging of Tsongkhapa's called the Lamrim, this gradual path, this course, that you graduate from as a Buddha, is in terms of understanding attachment. This is massive for the Buddha, way bigger than we can think because it's assuming even the way the world is, how we're born, the kind of bodies we have, it's got a much bigger framework than we can think of. So effectively the actual delusion that's the source of all suffering is this thing called ego grasping that the realisation of emptiness cuts, and all the teachings lead to that. But effectively in daily life we can say attachment is the main problem. This bottomless pit of dissatisfaction, the neediness, that causes the anger and aversion then causes all the other things, which cause us to harm others, which causes suffering rebirths, and so on. When we understand attachment is the main problem, then junior school is learning to control the servants of the attachment, which is the body and speech obviously. We're so caught up in our own world, in the modern world I'm this body, we so utterly identify with the body, “we make the body the boss” as Lama Yeshe says, totally completely absorbed in the body. This is me! If we do say words about my mind, we point to the brain. We learned that, we haven't experienced the truth of it, we've never studied the brain, most of us, we just believe what we're told. We think we're so intelligent, that we're scientific, it's just nonsense. Most of us haven't really studied math, science, botany, all the things some people have, we just say it's true because we believe it. We think we're scientific, no we haven't studied it. We totally identify with this body, the body is massive, the senses run the show and they're the servants of attachment, that's it. So obviously the first job, because attachment is so primordial, you've got to start controlling the servants of the attachment, which is the body and speech, which is our behaviour. Do what your grandma says - behave nicely, don't harm others. This is fundamental. By controlling the body and speech, the servants of attachment, you're naturally subduing attachment, it's very evident. Now you're really qualified to go to high school and get to the root of the problem, and begin to understand and unpack all the delusions, in particular attachment. You become your own therapist, this genius person, who can unpack and unravel the mind to this unbelievable degree, including getting this incredible concentration, inconceivable, unheard of in our modern psychology. It's just seen as religion, we throw it away as some kind of rubbish. We have no idea how astonishing it is, how sophisticated, how brilliant, and anyone if they worked hard could do it. It's all there, coming from these amazing Hindus thousands of years ago before the Buddha, these geniuses who mapped the mind internally. It's so mind-blowing. By this point you've got renunciation, you're incredible, which means two parts - one you know what suffering is and you're sick of it, and two bullseye you know the causes, karma and delusions, as Lama Zopa says “you've got renunciation when just the thought of another moment of attachment is so disgusting, it's like being in a septic tank”. That's way to go, that's pretty profound. How would you be so far - radiant, joyful, content, fulfilled, happy, you'd be an incredible human being by now. Lawudo Trek, Nepal, 31st March 2019. YouTube

In this episode, we explore a profound teaching from the Madhyamaka-Prasangika tradition of Buddhism: the Two Truths — conventional truth and ultimate truth.Conventional truth refers to how things appear and function in everyday life: emotions, objects, people, and experiences. These phenomena can help or harm us, so they exist — but only in a dependent, relative way. Ultimate truth, on the other hand, points to the emptiness of all phenomena — the fact that nothing exists independently or inherently. Things lack an independent self or essence; they arise in dependence upon causes, conditions, parts, and the mind that labels them.As His Holiness the Dalai Lama explains, this doesn't mean things are totally nonexistent (which would be nihilism). Rather, they exist, but not in the way they appear. Everything that seems solid or independently real is, under closer analysis, part of an interconnected web of causes and conditions. The concept of dependent origination is central. A tree, for example, arises from a seed, soil, sunlight, and water — and is made of parts like roots, leaves, and branches. Remove any of those, and the “tree” cannot exist. Even deeper, a tree is only called a “tree” because we label it that way. Its identity is not found in any single part. There are three types of dependence:Dependence on causes and conditions (e.g., how events or behaviors arise from past influences).Dependence on parts (e.g., how a whole object exists only because of its parts).Dependence on conceptual designation (e.g., how things are named and understood by the mind). These layers show us that what we perceive as independently existing entities are actually mental constructions. Much like a movie appears real on screen, the world appears real and self-contained — but is, in truth, a projection of causes and labels.Importantly, this teaching isn't just intellectual. It's a tool to reduce suffering. Our negative emotions — anger, fear, pride — stem from grasping at things as solid and unchanging. When we realize their empty, dependent nature, our reactivity softens. We're less quick to judge or cling.Emptiness, then, isn't a void — it's a liberating insight into how things really are: interconnected, ever-changing, and free of inherent identity. This understanding doesn't negate reality — it enriches it, making space for wisdom and compassion to grow.
Re-upload-A lot of people ask me why I say the things I say and why I keep saying to walk away from politics, the media, and religion. As hard as it is for anyone to understand, it runs really deep, deeper than you can ever imagine. The pure manipulation is so clear once you are reset. This is the one moment where everything changed for me and the reason why I started doing a podcast.Everything that you see with your eyes, is nothing more than just drivel to throw you off of your path. The way they have been destroying families, corrupting and abusing the youth, and subjecting billions of people to inhumanity, it's very clear to me why they are doing this, and it's immoral and wrong on so many levels. So take a dive with me as I give you a place in the dark.

Love to hear from you; “Send us a Text Message”What happens when you start defining yourself by your struggles rather than by your God-given identity? Deacon Gerald Marie Anthony tackles this profound question in a conversation that strikes at the heart of what it means to be authentically human in our confused modern world. The conversation delves deep into what Pope Pius X called "the synthesis of all heresies"—modernism—which teaches us we don't need God to progress. This mindset manifests when we put our ultimate trust in money, work, technology, or social acceptance rather than in our Creator. Through St. Faustina and the Divine Mercy devotion, we discover the antidote to modernism's emptiness. Whether you're battling pornography addiction, wrestling with unwanted attractions, or simply feeling lost in today's confusing cultural landscape, by placing our trust in Jesus rather than in ourselves or worldly solutions, we can experience true transformation. “There's perhaps nothing we can do that has as radical an impact on our consciousness as the meditation practice of completely letting go of the mind. Something extraordinary happens when we're willing to still for a period of time every day and have no involvement with our thoughts. severing our identification with the mind. Because we don't have to do anything when we're meditating, it gives us a rare opportunity to simply give up any involvement with thought.” — Craig HamiltonIn this episode, Craig explores the quiet power of approaching meditation—and life—with a “beginner's mind.”What becomes available when we stop relating to the moment through the lens of what we already know?As we move through life, we naturally accumulate knowledge and experience. But on the spiritual path, there comes a moment when all of our knowing must be gently set aside—so we can discover a way of being that meets each moment as if for the first time and open ourselves to the mystery that is always unfolding. Experiencing the spatial sense of emptiness, in a natural place, when there's nobody about, endlessly fascinates us. We built a high resolution immersive sound capture device to study it. We find natural places to leave it out recording alone, to capture quiet scenes in sound. Of time passing. We are all intrinsically hyper-attentive to the possible presence of people within our surroundings. Any movement that might signal another person in the vicinity, fundamentally changes our thoughts. It deflects our mind's eye from fully connecting with the place. This is why we always set out to record in largely uninhabited locations that are good sources of naturally occurring sound. Before Lento came about, the question of whether or not a falling tree makes a sound when there's no one around to hear it, proved puzzlingly difficult to argue in classroom discussions. If only we could send back in time this sound-scene of Shelve Wood in Shropshire, that we recorded last month. Yes, remote listening is a thing. Be there and yet not be there to hear the trees. Slow banks of shifting air, brushing softly, panoramically, through the firs. And every drop of rain, that finds its way down, between the branches, to land on the soft dry carpet of the forest floor. Shelve Wood has an acoustic that conveys space. A vast space. It is a space that, especially at night, murmerates with deep, velvety echoes. Hushes. Thousands of conifers and spruce, moving together, in natural sympathy with the wind. * This section of time is from a 12-hour overnight recording we made last month in beautiful Shropshire. The fir tree that held the Lento box was impressively tall, and peaceful.

Surrender is central to every spiritual tradition. But what does it actually mean to surrender—and how do we begin to practice it in a real and grounded way?In this episode, Craig invites us into a direct exploration of that question. Rather than approaching surrender as a lofty ideal, he points us toward a lived experience—something we can discover for ourselves through conscious attention. The episode includes a short guided meditation to help you step into this deeper orientation and see what unfolds when you stop trying to control the moment. To access the full transcript of this episode and to discover more resources, visit the episode page on MeditationChangesEverything.com. We spend our lives being seduced by the outside world, believing completely that happiness and suffering come from “out there.” But “everything we experience is our own karmic appearance,” says Lama Zopa Rinpoche. “Everything is made up by our own minds.” By understanding emptiness — that everything occurs in dependence upon causes and conditions (in other words, karma) and that, crucially, there's nothing intrinsic in anything that makes it what it is — we can slowly loosen the grip of ego-grasping and begin to develop our marvelous potential for clarity, contentment, love, and the other qualities that Lord Buddha says are innate within us.

The real meaning of spiritual healing without substances—how Rapid Rewire accesses non-dual states naturally. Eight pillars of self-love and why most people fail to embody even one. Ancient yoga texts call it sama-darshana—equal vision. It's the ability to see the soul in every being, regardless of their body, background, or even behavior. And according to the sages, it's not just a lofty idea—it's the very foundation of a life well-lived. Here's the twist: it's not just the moral thing to do—it's the key to happiness, peace of mind, and, ultimately, a graceful exit from this world. In contrast, the pursuit of material fulfillment becomes a path of emptiness. Listen in as Raghunath and Kaustubha reflect on the yogi's mindset: to live in a way that places no one else in difficulty, and to love in a way that clears the heart of all fear and resentment. Key Highlights: • Sama-darshana—the yogic practice of seeing beyond externals • Why a life of non-harm and kindness clears the path to liberation • “My name is King Yayati, and I'm a sex addict.” • How material desire drives us to harm even those we love • How spiritual vision helps us let go—without fear or bitterness • And how chasing sense gratification will make a goat out of us.
Gatorade-stained beard? Check. All-night emergency room visit? Check. Spiritual wake-up call in aisle 12? Double check. But behind Raghunath's dizzy spell and collapse on the floor of Home Depot lies a far more universal theme: our desperate urge to avoid silence, stillness, and the terrifying weight of our own inner emptiness. Drawing from Blaise Pascal's haunting insight—that “all of humanity's problems stem from man's inability to sit quietly in a room alone”—Raghunath and Kaustubha explore how distraction and diversion keep us from doing the inner work that leads to peace, purpose, and awakening. Also: a peaceful garden walk devolves into a warrior princess throw-down. Key Highlights: • Is that spiritual ecstasy… or dangerously low blood sugar? • Why we flee silence—and how it sabotages our spiritual evolution • Pascal meets the Bhāgavatam: diversion as the disease of our age • When status, envy, and petty revenge collide—ancient wisdom, high-school drama • Level up before the universe has to shove you down
Unshakeable: Redefining Success on Your Own Terms In the pursuit of success, many individuals find themselves chasing external markers—such as wealth, recognition, or status—believing that these achievements will bring them happiness and fulfillment. However, as discussed in the podcast episode, true success, or "elegant success," is fundamentally about creating a life that aligns with your personal values and brings genuine satisfaction. Host Tonya Leigh explores the concept of elegant success—success that is rooted in personal values, alignment, and ease, rather than societal pressures to do more and be more. Tonya shares her reflections on the importance of creating a fulfilling life that feels good on the inside, as well as the challenges many are facing in today's uncertain world. Drawing from her personal experiences, including navigating her own emotional landscape during difficult times, she emphasizes the significance of managing one's nervous system and internal world to cultivate resilience and peace. Tune in for insights that challenge traditional definitions of success and encourage listeners to redefine what it means to thrive. "Elegant success is creating the life you desire without abandoning yourself in the process." "I've encountered so much peace by just accepting that it's going to feel elegant and then it's going to feel messy again." "You cannot evolve and expect everyone to come with you."
