Hey Tanner Fans, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today, in honor of Bob Saget's (Danny Tanner) Heavenly Birthday, I am covering Full House S4E15: Ol' Brown Eyes, which aired January 11, 1991. In this episode Danny feels uncool when DJ turns to Joey and Jesse instead of him. I enjoyed this episode, it being one I don't really watch in my regular rotation. Danny thinking he was going to surprise DJ at this fundraiser she put together for her school by singing the song "My Generation" was ridiculous. Even Jesse, Joey and Becky try to talk him out of it and thankfully DJ catches him ahead of time when she walks into the livingroom and sees him singing this song dressed in a metal holed black leather jacket and leather pants with a grinning skull t-shirt. I would be embarrassed and uncomfortable too if I were her. Thankfully he comes to his senses. Why does it matter if DJ thinks he's cool or not. It seems like Danny is always trying to compete with Jesse for his kids attention of thinking he's cool and hip and with it. Michelle and the Hot and Cold game with Joey was hilarious, seeing him get so frustrated with her to the point where he is crawling around on the floor following her as she retraces her steps. Join me in June when I cover for the Father's Day Series, Full House S5E4: Where Oh Where Has My Little Girl Gone?, which aired on October 8, 1991. In this episode After snooping in DJ's room and finding out that a bad rumor about her has been spread around school and she refuses to talk to him about it, Danny worries that their father-daughter bond is fading. I hope you enjoy the podcast episode and have a great week everyone! To EMAIL The PODCAST GO TO: omhcfhfhpodcast@gmail.com

Hey Tanner Fans, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today, I'm kicking off the new series Tanner Girls In Love for February in honor of Valentine's Day. First episode of the series is Full House S2E16: Baby Love, which aired on February 24, 1989. In this episode Michelle develops a crush on Rebecca's nephew. It's sad that Michelle is two and Howie is the first child her age that she has come in contact with. I can now understand why she developed such a close bond or infatuation with him. Danny really should of had Michelle in a play group before age 2, so she could have had the chance to interact with someone her own age, I mean she's surrounded by older kids and adults all day long, how is she going to develop the social skills and form friendships if she doesn't interact with another little kid? Maybe if she had, she wouldn't have been so emotionally crushed by Howie leaving, I mean she would still be sad, but it wouldn't have been as devastating for her. Also Stephanie watches the horror movie The Wolfman (the black and white version)and has trouble sleeping. When I was young I was scared of some movies that weren't actually horror movies, Little Shop Of Horrors, The Burbs, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, and The Witches. But the movie that gave me nightmares for what felt like years was a tv movie called Love, Lies and Murder. I think a lot of it had to do with the actor Clancy Brown, he just looked so frightening. I got over that once I saw Pet Sematary 2 as a teenager. Jesse and Rebecca get into a baby name argument. We know going forward that Dustin (Jesse's Pick) and Prescott (Rebecca's Pick) and not the names they choose for their twin sons. Then again Jesse and Rebecca haven't even been dating for three months yet, what do you think is the appropriate dating time to start naming your future children? 6 Months? A Year? Join me next week when I cover the next installment in the Tanner Girls In Love Series Full House S8E17: Dateless In San Francisco, which aired on February 14, 1995. In this episode Michelle gets a boyfriend for Valentine's Day, while Joey gets a secret admirer. When Jesse helps Danny plan an elaborate date with Claire, Rebecca feels neglected. Have a great weekend everyone! Please continue to be safe and use precautions! To EMAIL The Podcast Go To: omhcfhfhpodcast@gmail.com

Hey Tanner Fans, Angela Bowen, here the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today, I conclude the Grandparents Day series with the final episode Full House S7E17: The Last Dance, which aired on February 8, 1994. In this episode during his visit to San Francisco, Jesse's beloved grandfather, Papouli, dies in his sleep. Jesse and Michelle are both devastated as they try to come to terms with his death. I'd put off recording this episode for as long as I could, I wanted to wait until I was emotionally ready and could handle watching it again. I remember watching this episode when it first aired and realizing the promo that aired days before this episode was correct, this was an episode you shouldn't miss. For the first time we were seeing the Tanners/Katsopolis and Joey openly grieve someone who had passed away. Granted the two most affected by Papouli's passing where Jesse and Michelle. I loved the close relationship shared between Papouli and Michelle with learning a Greek dance and baking in the kitchen and his wise stories, there had to be a bond there between them just like Jesse had with his grandfather when he was a little boy to get that heartbreaking scene at the end with Jesse and Michelle, where they break down in each others arms, finally able to release that pain and hurt they had been holding in. Now I'd seen the episode a few times over the years courtesy of Hulu, but there were key scenes that were left out, that in watching this uncut DVD version, I was surprised helped piece some things together for me. In the beginning of the episode Danny and Joey are at the kitchen table preparing grape leaves and they're talking about going fishing when they were kids with Danny's father and how they dreamed one day when they were grown they would buy their own boat. One, I liked that we got a little tidbit of Danny and his dad because we don't know much about him and two this scene helped piece together how they ended up with the boat towards the end. The other scene I feel like I had never seen was with Danny and Michelle in her bedroom as she is asking her father why Papouli had to die, Danny just tells her he was old and time on this earth is short. He tells her to come to him with any questions and tells her they'll help each other through as a family. I thought the scene was ok, but honestly neither Bob Saget or whichever Olsen twin who was playing Michelle in this scene brought their A game to the table. I get it we needed to hold out for the powerhouse scene between Jesse and Michelle at the end, but this scene just fell flat for me and was kinda weak sauce. Overall, it was good to see this episode again in it's full unedited glory. Join me next week when I begin the new series for NOVEMBER, Back to School Part 2 Series, where I kick things off with Full house S2E17: El problema Grande de DJ, which aired on March 10, 1989. In this episode DJ gets a "D" in Spanish. Danny goes to try and find out what was going on and talks to the teacher. The teacher explains that DJ just wasn't trying. She comes over to the house later and labels things in Spanish. then she and Danny kiss. Dj and her friends come home and see them kissing and everyone laughs at her. Then Danny has to decide whether to continue to see the teacher or to respect DJ and her feelings. Have a great weekend everyone! To EMAIL The Podcast Go To: omhcfhfhpodcast@gmail.com

Hey Tanner Fans, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today, in continuing with the Grandparents Day Series, I covered Full House S3E5: Granny Tanny, which aired on October 20, 1989. In this episode we get Doris Roberts (Everybody Loves Raymond) guest starring as Claire Tanner or as I refer to her in this episode Claire 2.0. Newly divorced as well as retired from the stationary supply business and now residing in Seattle, Washington, NOT Tacoma, Washington like in Season 1. I had to correct myself towards the end of the episode. She's come to visit and looking for a sense of purpose with no more work and no kids to raise she needs something to fill her days. Danny senses his Mom is becoming depressed and has the family act like they can't take care of the house without her help. Claire jumps at the chance to take care of everyone, making them elaborate Thanksgiving sized meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. She picks out Michelle's beautiful pencil bed (which I am so envious of)since Michelle proved that it's time to upgrade from a crib to a big girl bed which honestly is the safe way to go to prevent possible future injury of her climbing out of her what would be today, an unsafe crib with bars. Claire takes the job of being the caretaker so seriously that she takes it upon herself to move in permanently practically shoving Jesse and Joey out the door, telling them to get on with their lives. The guys say no way this is my family, I don't want to miss out on these girls lives, so Claire suggests the guys share a room and get bunk beds while she takes over Jesse's room, trying to convince herself she can fit 6 rooms of furniture in that small space as she measures the room. Danny finally puts on his big boy pants as he spills the beans about the lies of them needing her to wait on them hand and foo including the I Love Brussels lie he's been telling for over 20 years. They settle on her she moving into an apartment in the neighborhood instead of living under the same roof. Join me next week when we celebrate Fuller House Elias Harger (Max Fuller, DJ's middle child)birthday with Fuller House S2E5: Doggy Daddy, which aired on December 9, 2016. in this episode A not so typical day involves a dance audition, a toddler play date, four chickens, and a vet emergency. Hey Tanner Fans, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today, I begin the first episode in a new series entitled Grandparents Day Series, Full House S1E4: The Return Of Grandma, which aired on October 9, 1987. In this episode an untimely visit from Danny's mom Claire, leaves them unprepared and the house looking uninhabitable. Shocked at Danny and the guy's unkempt ways she calls in reinforcements in the form of Irene Cochran (Jesse's Mom) and Mindy Gladstone (Joey's Mom) to help encourage the guys to clean up their act for the girl's sake or the mom's are moving in and it will really be a Full House. I enjoyed this episode. I was a lot of fun and who can forget Bubba the turtle. I can only hope that eventually Jesse released Bubba to his natural habitat or donated him to a zoo (ya know, like they did for Shorty the donkey in Season 8). I was rolling on the floor laughing (not literally) to Claire's reaction to thinking Michelle had turned into a turtle. (really, Claire?, too much jetlag, I guess) Join me next week when I dive into the next installment in the Grandparents Day series Full House S3E5: Granny Tanny, which aired on October 20, 1989. In this episode It's early Saturday morning and Michelle crawls for the first time out of her crib all by herself and gets a real big girl's bed from Grandma who comes on a weekend visit, and Danny learns a lesson. Hey Tanner Fans, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today, I present to you the third entry in the Full House Animal Antics Series, with Full House S6E21: Room For One More, which aired on April 6, 1993 where we get to meet Scruffy the pot bellied pig. In this episode Jesse discusses with Becky the possibility of having another baby, but he finds out he already has his hands full when one of the twins is sick, Joey's injured and Danny and the kids help with the radio show run from home while baby-sitting a neighbor's pet pig. I had a fun time covering this episode and towards the end of the episode, I delve into some pot bellied pig care and talk about some famous pigs from tv, to movies and literature, pigs have definitely made a name for themselves in the world and some I'd say have rooted their way into our hearts and I'd say Scruffy as well has added his name to that list of pigs we will not soon forget. Join me this Friday when i cover the last episode in the Full House Animal Antics Series, where we'll meet Shorty The Donkey in Full House S8E6: You Pet It, You Bought It, which aired on November 1994. In this episode Michelle buys a donkey from the petting zoo. Have a great week everyone and please continue to stay safe. Hey Tanner Fans, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today, I decided to cover Full House S2E4: DJ's Very First Horse, which aired on November 4, 1988 for the new Full House Series Animal Antics for August. In this episode D.J. and Kimmy buy a horse. Jesse strikes out in his attempts to date Rebecca. I had a fun time with this episode. In this episode, we have a very irresponsible stable hand who thinks it's totally fine to make business transactions with a twelve year old without parental permission, we also learn about cheese donuts (a cheese slice folded in half with a bite taken out), how CDs according to teens are better than cash, as well as a hairbrush and a unused math book can be used in lieu of $50 to pay for a horse's upkeep. Joey's chili is compared to the aroma of a horse as Danny takes a big whiff of (unbeknownst to him) a horse, as well as how a horse can go through three owners in the course of two weeks. Also a horse can be given more than one name, hense the name Buttercup for the tail that Stephanie owns. a different name for each body part. I'm surprised she didn't ask to own the mane. I go through George Michael's song list and decide the horses in the stable would love his song "Careless Whisper" because of its adult contemporary mello feel and the saxophone. I could totally see the horses shaking their heads in time to the music. Join me next week when I cover the next episode in the Animal Antics Series, Full House S5E18: Too Much Monkey Business, which aired on February 11, 1992. Hey Tanner Fans, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today, in honor of Full House/Fuller House Cast Member Lori Loughlin's Birthday, I'm covering Full House S8E13: The Producer, which aired on January 10, 1995. In this episode Danny feels humiliated and quits when Rebecca is promoted to producer of the show. I really enjoyed this episode as I do all the episodes when I cover them. Danny's behavior towards Becky in this episode was absolutely deplorable. Just because she was made producer of Wake Up San Francisco over him. That promotion should have been offered behind closed doors instead of in front of Danny and Michelle. Joey's dealing with his childhood favorite snack Vanilla Weasels being discontinued, is a sad reminder to myself of all the favorite foods I've liked, that had a temporary shelf life. (R.I.P. Meijer Seafood Cheese Dip,( I still can't believe it's been 9 years since it disappeared). DJ and Stephanie giving up sweets via bet, great idea for those needing something to give up for Lent. I once gave up pop (soda) for Lent, I went 3 months solid (haven't attempted a second time). Jesse the disciplinarian of Nicky and Alex as well as surprise, surprise Danny and Becky (spoiler?) Join me next week in August as I begin my new series Full House Animal Antics, to kick things off we have Full House S2E4: DJ's Very First Horse, which aired on November 4, 1988. In this episode It's D.J. to the rescue when she learns that Kimmy plans to elope with her new boyfriend, hoping that marriage will solve all her problems. Joey gets an opportunity to meet the Queen of England. This was a fun time covering this one, from DJ reeling from her rejection from Stanford, to our first official meeting of Dwayne, Kimmy's new boyfriend repeating his famous catch phrase "whatever" , to Joey's wacky adventure meeting the Queen of England, his supposed assassination attempt by camera "nobody move, I just gotta get one shot" (horrible choice of words, Joey) as he pulls out Michelle's camera like he's got a gun tucked away in his suit and finally to the create your own wedding with Kimmy and Dwayne dressing up as Friday the 13th, but honestly the officiate performing the ceremony looks like a mashup of the three big horror franchises of the 80's Freddy Krueger (the striped shirt), chainsaw (Texas Chainsaw Massacre) and the mask (Friday The 13th or and this is because part of the mask has a piece missing towards the bottom, makes me think of Phantom Of The Opera). I also found out you can have a Create Your Own Wedding Theme. Depending on what you want, they range from $700-$1300. I also found instructions on what to do if you meet the Queen. I was also thinking how cool it would have been if Stephanie had brought up Prince William who was the same age as her and me, 13. Like "Hey Joey, see if you can find out what Prince William's favorite food is from his Grandma. Thanks to Stephanie's mention of the Clapper and my searching Amazon for it, we are now the proud owners (well, actually Jeremy is) of a Darth Vader Clapper. Hey Tanner Fans, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today, in honor of Father's Day and Danny Tanner, I'm covering Full House S4E12: Danny In Charge, which aired on December 14, 1990. In this episode Joey and Jesse take a trip to the great outdoors to get footage of a fox for a commercial they're working on for Fox Fax Machines, Danny is alone in caring for the girls for the first time and is being pulled in two by DJ and Stephanie who both have school events on the same day at the same time. What's a father to do? Honestly, it's quite simple, in my mind at least, since he's already seen DJ in a play before he should just go see Stephanie's science fair project, because I feel Stephanie gets the shaft a lot of the time as the middle child. Danny's always super focused on either DJ and Michelle, a prime example of this is in Full House S2E10: Middle Age Crazy. I enjoyed this episode, but felt DJ was being a total selfish brat this episode since she always has the spotlight on her with being the oldest and always has Danny's attention, c'mon and let Steph have this for once. Danny even tells the girls "Now you know, i love all my girls the same, right?" Danny, seriously, stops the lies, we know you favor DJ because she's your first born and also Michelle because she's the baby. All right, well, July is going to be all about cast members birthday episode dedications from Full House and Fuller House. First up, we have Andrea Barber (Kimmy Gibbler) and I will be covering Full House S819: Taking The Plunge, which aired on February 28, 1995. In this episode, it's D.J. to the rescue when she learns that Kimmy plans to elope with her new boyfriend, hoping that marriage will solve all her problems. Joey gets an opportunity to meet the Queen of England. Hey Tanner Fans, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today in honor of Mother's day and Pam Tanner, I decided to cover Full House S5E2: Matchmaker Michelle, which aired on September 24, 1991. In this episode Michelle and Teddy scheme to couple Danny with their kindergarten teacher. I liked this episode because we get to see a vulnerable Michelle coping with the realization of the loss of her mother, a person she never got to meet and doesn't remember because she was so young when Pam died, not even a year old. Teddy awakens this feeling in her when he explains how great it is to have a mommy and Michelle unknowingly sets herself up for hurt and disappointment when she tries to make a love connection happen between Danny and her elderly kindergarten teacher Miss Wiltrout after she sees them cleaning a table together as well as smiling and laughing. Jesse's searching for a new hard edge look for his band in order to get music execs to see his band Jesse and the Rippers as not "soft". I can't say I blame them when all you do are covers and ballads. DJ and Kimmy trade living spaces and identities for a weekend. Join me on June 21, Father's day for the first of two In Honor of Father's Day and Danny Tanner themed episodes. First up is Full House S1E6 Daddy's Home, which aired on October 23, 1987. In this episode Danny realizes that he misses special moments with his daughters and decides to take a family fun day - twice. Jesse's current girlfriend is in town. and the second episode, Full House S4E12: Danny In Charge, which aired on December 14, 1990. In this episode When Joey and Jesse take a trip, Danny is alone in caring for the girls for the first time. Today, I covered the next episode in the (In Honor Of Mother's Day and Pam Tanner Series)Full House S4E4: Slumber Party, which aired on October 12, 1990. In this episode Stephanie feels left out when the Honeybees plan a mother-daughter sleepover. This episode really broke my heart for Stephanie all she wants to do is fit in and be as happy as the other girls who were with their moms at the party. Joey was sweet to volunteer but, he should have known he was gonna stick out like a sore thumb in a house full of mothers and daughters hence the title of the sleepover. Danny with his garage sale of junk at exorbitant prices was hilarious. Joey: "that's your life?, dead ants and a plastic sword" Danny: "ok, it's a sad life, but it's my life" Jesse and Michelle shopping at Hells Little Angels and she comes back dressed like Danny Zuko from Grease or a carbon copy of Jesse. Don't worry Jesse, soon you can do that with your own boys dressing them just like you. DJ and Kimmy's Crazy For Swayze Movie and Snack Binge Night ends with DJ and Stephanie going back to the sleepover and Kimmy on the couch with the guys trying to get them to join her in watching Dirty Dancing. Her line of "should we watch the lovemaking scenes first or start at the beginning. Here's a question I have, would DJ and Kimmy have understood that the character of Penny had an abortion or would they have just thought she was sick, when I saw this movie I was younger than them (I had an older sister) I just figured her character was sick? In this episode Danny develops a crush on the hive mother of Stephanie's Honey Bees. I enjoyed this episode, as it deals with Danny, a single parent entering the dating pool again and the emotional effect it has on the girls. DJ's angry, Stephanie's confused (thinking one date leads to a marriage proposal, granted she's only 5), and well, Michelle, she takes it better than all of them because she's a baby. I choose this episode because this is a turning point for Danny as he starts his journey of life after Pam and starts to move forward in the healing process by going on this date. Linda, the woman Danny's taking out is also a single parent (through divorce)and is so understanding and patient with Danny as he works through his feelings of am i ready to date?, am i not? Hey Tanner Fans, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today after learning of the passing of musical legend Little Richard, I decided to cover Full House S7E23: Too Little Richard Too Late, which aired on May 10, 1994 in honor of Little Richard. In this episode to help try and save the art program at Michelle's school, Joey runs for president of the PTA. Little Richard guest stars as Denise's uncle and performs at Joey's pre-election rally. I really had a fun time with this episode and hope you enjoy it too. Hey Tanner Fans, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today, I decided to cover Full House S7E6: Smash Club: The Next Generation, which aired on October 19, 1993. In this episode Jesse is surprised to learn that he has inherited an old night club where his band used to play. But he soon learns that reopening the run-down building for a new generation takes more than just good ideas. I had a fun time covering this episode. This was actually the first and only episode of Full House that I taped off the TV. I thought it would be a blast to cover it and it sure was from Jesse inheriting the Smash Club, to Princess Michelle reducing poor toddler aged Nicky and Alex to servants, having them fetch her fruit, and find Waldo(my gosh it's hard enough for an adult to find Waldo and she's wants her toddler cousin to attempt it and when she asks him "Hey Nicky, did you find Waldo yet?", he replies "No Waldo", she just tells him "keep looking, he's in there". No surprise when they boys revolt and take their revenge later on. Don't even get me started on Jesse, whoo boy, I have a major rant on him throughout this episode. and let's not poor Danny who Becky has no sympathy for after a Sumo Wrestler Segment goes wrong and ends up with Bozo Yoshi sitting on Danny, mind you this guy weighs 700 lb according to Danny. I hope Wake Up San Francisco is paying for Danny's medical bills when his back goes in traction. Join me next week when I cover the first episode in the new mini series In Honor Of Mother's Day and In Honor Of Pam Tanner with Full House S2E18: Goodbye, Mr. Bear, which aired on March 24, 1989. Hey Tanner Fans, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today, I decided to commentate on the recently released Full House Cast Full Quarantine Video. I also give my thoughts on what the individuals who were missing from the video might be up to during this quarantine such as Michelle, Aunt Becky, Nicky and Alex, Fernando, Jimmy, Jackson, Max and Ramona and also Steve. I totally forgot Matt, Gia and Rocky. I think Gia would continue to spend Matt's money on online purchases and Matt would be trying to diagnose his patients online, Rocky would be Skyping or Zooming with Jackson. What do you think the cast of Full House and Fuller House would be upto during this quarantine? Share your thoughts at: omhcfhfhpodcast@gmail.com and I just might share them on the next podcast episode. As always, Stay Home, Stay Safe, Stay Positive! We WILL Get Through THIS!
