Thinesa Sri is a Canadian-born indoor volleyball standout and fashion model, most recently taking her athletic talents to the pro beach scene. Cutting her teeth on the indoor scene at York (along with players like Melissa Humana-Paredes, Brandie Wilkerson), all the way to a stint with the national team, she has attained team and individual accolades worthy of future promise. A fashion model for 30+ clients in ads and runways including Wilson and Shea moisture - and a curiously-avid enthusiast of MMA - "Tin" is the total package of brains, braun and beauty. She is currently training and playing with Mercedez Vaughan. Tune in, as we chat up skills that were easy to bring to the beach from indoor (as well as challenges), getting good coaching on the beach, Brandie Wilkerson, Mark Burik, Dylan Maarek, Jeff Alzina, Coaches who use what you have vs coaches who change what you have, not crossing your goals with your expectations, players finding ways to build their brand, UFC and upcoming mixed martial arts events, the rival of Khabib Nurmagamedov and Conor McGregor, Khabib wrestling bears, training with Mercedes Vaughan, celebrity matches being good for the sport, and MORE!
With a mixture of trepidation and a very obnoxious sighing, Simon (@simoncross3) has to take another chance on watching the shoot-style pro wrestling of the late 80s and early 90s that was a prototypical presentation of what would eventually become mixed martial arts. This time it's Akira Maeda's debut RINGS show. The fall of the Iron Curtain saw an influx of Russian wrestlers, many of them trained in the sambo style that eventually would bring Khabib Nurmagamedov to the UFC. Volk Han, also of Dagestan, literally wrestled his first match and within the year was one of the most popular foreign workers in Japan. Let's see if the LMTYS boys are also as taken on first look. https://patreon.com/lmtyspod https://twitter.com/lmtyspod https://facebook.com/lmtyspod lmtyspod@gmail.com

#NFL #NBA #UFC This is a really fun breakdown of the Halloween weekend in sports. The NFL has reached the halfway mark despite the global pandemic and the out of control Covid crisis. There have been positive tests but the NFL just keeps chugging along. It was fun to discuss all of the division rival games and being on the eve of the trading deadline we had deals to break down, We briefly talked about the NBA and specifically about the hiring of Mike D'Antoni to be the assistant coach of the Brooklyn Nets. Steve Nash had Mike as his coach in Phoenix when he was the two time MVP of the NBA and he returned the favor by hiring him. It was a great move and we both agreed it was going to be fun for the team and league. The UFC had another card and another retirement of one of the G.O.A.T.'s of the sport. Last week it was Khabib Nurmagamedov and this week it was Anderson "The Spider" Silva. The 45 year old living legend finally is appearing in the Octagon for the last time. We brokedown the entire card from this past weekend and the upcoming one. Enjoy, Take care, Love yah, Bye for now!

Happy Friday everyone! Phil showed up to Deans place way too high and made Dean drive his car to the studio today. Classic Cannabis Phil. After yesterdays stories about Dean and Daren's' men's league, the DeanBlundell.com hockey game is officially canceled. Where did Stonehenge come from? Aliens? Do they exist? Is Daren on the Truman show? We get real trippy today folks. Dean does his best Steven Hawking impression and thinks he was full of shit. Students walked out of classrooms under protest of the Ford government yesterday, Dean opens up about Doug Ford and his administration and holds nothing back when addressing his bull shit. Dean has two words that could take him down. The always hilarious Jimmy The Prince joins us over the phone to discuss the Conor McGregor tweets about Khabib Nurmagomedov. Was it racist? Jimmy breaks it down. If this whole podcast thing doesn't work out, Dean is going to be an online doctor for Web MD, he's really good at it. Danny got a ticket needs X-Coppers' services or his wife may kill him, he explains. Have a safe and happy weekend beautiful humans. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
