Joey Cadiz is a community leader from the island of O'ahu. He is a North Shore lifeguard, big-wave surfer, former University of Hawaiʻi football player, kalo farmer, and the founder of Lau Lau Solutions — a nonprofit taro farm rooted in sustainability, Hawaiian values, and feeding the community. Most recently when the devastating floods hit Waialua on the North Shore of O'ahu, he was one of the people on the ground helping his community navigate the damage and rebuild. Lahinch residents are demanding that Clare County Council prioritises water safety over budgetary matters. A woman was airlifted to hospital last evening after get into difficulty in the water at the north Clare beach while lifeguards were off duty. The incident occurred as temperatures were cooling down following a record-breaking day of sun in Clare. Shortly after 6pm, surfers spotted a woman who appeared to be unresponsive adrift on a board.

Warm weather over the weekend saw large crowds flock to the seaside for a swim. View the artwork here. Giacometti completed the sculpture in 1932 and used bronze cast. Dimensions are 22.00 x 87.50 x 53.50 cm (or roughly 8.5 x 34.5 x 21 inches). Lucy Flint writes that the human figure is treated brutally in Giacometti's piece, and the woman appears in insectlike form. Woman with Her Throat Cut "is a particularly vicious image: the body is splayed open, disemboweled, arched in a paroxysm of sex and death. The psychological torment and the sadistic misogyny projected by this sculpture are in startling contrast to the serenity of other contemporaneous pieces by Giacometti, such as Woman Walking." Frustrations have been raised that full time lifeguard monitoring of popular Clare bathing spots is 'later than we'd like'. Monitoring is underway at popular locations from the weekend of May 16th and will expand county wide from the beginning of June. Ennistymon Fianna Fail Councillor, Shane Talty, claims ideally, lifeguards should be instated from 'the minute the sun shines'. However, he says the council is hamstrung by availability shortages of lifeguards around exam season.

We've done it! We're made it to three quarters of four figures!
