We DECIDE TO FORGET our Divine Connection, but it is still there in blazing certainty when we are willing to restore our awareness of who we really are. God's Peace and Joy are mine, but I had chosen to forget them when I made fear, guilt and anger real. If we are not happy, then something is off. We decided to forget Pure Joy. Now is the time for us to remember our Self-Identity. This is free of all attack, fear, guilt, and negative emotions. This is the Self of Perfect Happiness. Let me remember I am ONE WITH GOD. All attack is off, because all attack is "self attack." When we attack ourself, we have chosen to "forget" who we really are, God's Daughter and Son. When we choose to remember, we can forgive ourself and restore our Divine Connection to our every day awareness.

Brandon shares on Persevering through our trials and challenges

In this episode, Gene McCabe, head men's lacrosse coach and assistant director of athletics for compliance, details how sports and childhood mentors launched his trajectory as an educator in athletics. He played both lacrosse and football at Bates College before a neck injury sidelined his football career but ultimately gave him his first taste to coaching at the collegiate level. As he heads into his 19th season as head coach, McCabe reflects on his most treasured memories with the lacrosse program, the challenges he witnesses student-athletes facing, the overall changing landscape of collegiate sports and the culture and values he works to cultivate on Wilson Field. We also discuss his efforts to marry sustainability with the athletic department, the pride he feels as a W&L alumna parent and the importance of holding onto those passions that feed the soul.

Who is our Friend? The appointed Friend is the Christ that God has given us to look upon our true Self. He is the Self we share, who never forgot his Holy Relationship with His Creator. He never fell out of His state of Divine Inner Joy.  This “Appointed Friend" is always here for us, but we seem to be endlessly distracted in the workings of the world, in which we are pursuing some kind of "nirvana" to replace this Friend. Can we drop all of that futile seeking that has brought us sorrow and disappointment in the end, instead of Divine Joy?  Can we accept the fact that the Christ is here for us? NOW. In the actions that did bring us Pure Joy, He was fully there. We make room to receive Him on the Throne of his Holy Home. In so doing we prepare a seat for ourselves in the Heaven of our present happiness that requires no more “pursuit." Our Present Happiness is our inheritance of accepting this “Appointed Friend" in our life. We give the Christ attention as the main pillar in our one and only Holy Relationship. This is transferable, then, to every Relationship we will ever have, or hope to have. 

There is only one problem in life we will ever have to solve. This is our "imagined separation" we think we have from our Source, from God, from the Universal Life Force. We think there is "death" in the midst of the truth of Eternal Life. I imagine an "alternative" to the Absolute Truth. LOVE has no opposite in truth, but we have projected all kinds of conflict and hate in a Universe that is Only Love.  In Truth and Beauty there are no "problems." This is the Heaven State in which we are created. This END of "separation" is the true UNION with the Universal Life Force, our Source, and our full realization of this fact.  Only in our "projection of thought" could we "dream up" a "hell” of “separation,” full of “problems." When we bring our "thought" to an end, we make contact with a state of consciousness free of all "problems." We extend the Will of our Creator when we act from the place of Pure Joy. This is “pure Consciousness”— “Sat, Chit, Ananda.” Then, the Action we do in Life coming from this Pure Consciousness would have to yield results of Pure Joy. There is nothing but Grace in this emanation from Truth. There is tremendous productivity and satisfaction in this State of Being free of all "problems." Our Actions produce Love, Peace and Joy—free of all projections of pain and suffering. Let us recognize our "problem” (of separation) has been solved. We are ONE with LOVE, and embrace a State of Being free of all problems of conflict and sorrow. 

Lollipop Chainsaw is back! Lollipop Chainsaw is back! FINALLY!  We're very excited about the imminent re-release of the game with the cheerleader, her mini-skirt, and all them zombies to slay. But we're also very interested to see if the discourse behind this game has changed in any way, because it was once a very controversial title indeed.  Elsewhere on the podcast we also discuss the inglorious fate of Concord and the seemingly inevitable decline of live service games. The market is demonstrating that it has firmly met its saturation point and it is almost certainly a case of diminishing returns for anyone that tries to do another one now. And of course, we talk through all the games releasing for the rest of September. There's A LOT.

Trials can produce perseverance and can lead to prayer, and can give perspective. The main idea was, "Enduring trials reminds believers to think eternally."

What are the conditions for Peace? The Holy Instant is the main condition in which Peace would be the result. It is what every situation should hold as its true meaning. The Holy Instant provides the meaning of every relationship, seen as a Whole. A situation of Perfect Peace is the result because we allow it to be exactly as it is. The Holy Instant is free of all fear, judgment, problems, and guilt or anger. Let TRUTH be what it is. This would have to usher forth peace and joy. Happiness is a condition for Peace. One cannot lack Happiness and be at Peace. What is in us that would attract anything less than Pure Joy? The correction of error is our responsibility. What is in us that needs to change? We can make this change happen swiftly, and clean up ourselves within, when we take responsibility 100% for our results. This is the place where the "conditions of peace" are met. FAITH, not "faithlessness" is what we use to allow the Holy Spirit's Purpose to be made manifest in us.

Hardships do not discriminate and trials come in many different shapes and sizes. When they do hit, remember that you possess the fruits of the Spirit. You have the gift of joy, which is essentially a superpower. You are equipped for the battle. God is for you. He goes before you. He will never forsake you. He will never leave you. His love is unrelenting and immovable. When your joy is challenged, draw near to God. He is the only one who holds all things together. Don't focus on the storm. Don't focus on the lack. The chaos. The loss. Instead, focus on the masterpiece that God is accomplishing and working in you and through you. Don't cling to crisis; cling to Christ. Mike Tyson once said, “Everybody's got a plan, until they get punched in the mouth.” Let's be honest, oftentimes life can send some unexpected blows that closely resemble a knockout punch. Things such as the diagnosis of a debilitating disease or health challenge, a crumbling marriage, loss of a job, a prodigal son or daughter, death of a loved one, financial woes, a deferred dream, and so much more can be flat out painful. Things don't always go our way or the way we wanted or expected them to. Sometimes hard times just keep stacking up on top of each other, and sometimes life just isn't the way it's supposed to be. However, I'm reminded of the words of James 1:2-4 which say, “Consider it PURE JOY, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. She also writes curriculum for her private middle and high school English language communication classes that focus on writing and speaking. Both of Shiela's and her husband Bruce's daughters attended private universities on scholarship and went on to pursue graduate studies in medicine and global business.
