In this episode, the Trulls continue their deep dive into Horny Goddesses of the Forgotten Realms with Loviatar and Beshaba (with a little bit of Tymora sprinkled in for extra flavor).
Loviatar is a goddess and reigning queen of the icy, dark Finnish north. But she's also a mother to nine disease-carrying children. And she has no qualms about sending them away from the nest to wreak havoc on humanity. Learn more about your ad choices.
MetalSucks Podcast hosts Petar, Brandon, Jozalyn and Sylvia go all out to celebrate the art we loved in this trying year of 2020. We let the music do most of the talking as we play a track from each one of our collective 15 favorite albums of the year, and we share in the celebration by chatting with the artists that made that music: Barney Greenway of Napalm Death, Brittney Slayes of Unleash The Archers, Madeleine and Rickard of Eleine, Jamie Graham of Viscera, Johanna Sadonis and Nicke Andersen of Lucifer, and JP and JD of Loviatar. Enjoy and celebrate some of the songs, bands, and artists that made this year unforgettable for the right reasons as we count down from 15 to our number 1 album of the year. Stream the episode below. Welcome back listeners to another episode of World Forge! This week we're talking about spooky cults and murder clubs! Right at the top here I want to point out something I'm sure you'll all notice right away, we had some weird audio issues this week. Due to issues we've since addressed, my mic wasn't picking up properly, and Piper's mic was coming in a bit hot. It's not the worst but we apologize for the dip in audio quality, the problem was fixed after recording so next week we're back to our normal standards! But even with our audio issues, we have a really great episode for you this week! We talk about the logistics of running, and being in a cult, what it's like to worship a god that constantly fills your mouth with spiders, and our favorite Annie Lennox song. We also take a look at a really cool supplement called The Compendium of Forgotten Secrets, put together by our friend William Hudson King over at Genuine Fantasy Press! It's an awesome collection of Warlock patrons, spells, and subclasses, if you're looking to branch out into new fields of dark magics, this would be a great place to look for inspiration! You can find Genuine Fantasy Press on twitter @PressGenuine, or at www.genfantasypress.com! If you enjoyed our guests, be sure and check out their show Wizards and Wine, and look out for our guest appearance soon where we talk about adapting our creations into Melinda's game world! You can find Wizards and Wine on twitter @WizardsandWine or anywhere you get your podcasts! Picture of Loviatar: https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Loviatar Our theme music was put together by the amazing Jakes Duke, who can be found at jamesduke.info. If you enjoyed this episode please consider leaving us a review on Apple Podcasts or your podcasting app of choice, it's a great way to support the show for free that helps promote our content and get us new listeners. We would also love to hear any feedback you have on twitter @worldforgepod or at worldforgepod@gmail.com. We would be over the moon to see any fan art, fan fiction, or fan mail you have for us. Thanks for listening, and we'll be back next week!
The party splits and tackles both a nameday party at the Crommor's for Grimm's brother, and a war between the merfolk and a young Bronze Dragon in Waterdeep Harbor! The party missteps and gets whipped by a cult of Loviatar! Dax joins a new guild, and Manu loses a gladiator fight. After all that, the party rejoins and raids the Gralhund manor! Do they get to the Stone of Golorr, and survive the Zhentarim and Gralhunds?
This was the Zine that I believe started off the big Zine craze in 2011, 2012, 2013. Since there seems to be a resurgence of interest in Zines now, due mostly to that big Kickstarter thing, I thing it's important to understand some great underlying principles that Christian explained he was trying to adhere to when publishing this Zine. He sets out an ethos, a way of going about it, that we could all learn from. Here's to Christian, Patron Saint of OSR Zines. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/joe892/support
