We are back with another fun episode with our loved wives as the all time favorite “Wives Month” is coming to a close. Steve is the caboose in this train as he is the last to present but we always need to save the best for last so here we go!Another fun band to check out as everyone (but Kevin?) takes a trip down memory lane and has a great time discussing this band and their music. This is what this podcast is all about! Friends hanging out and listening to music that they love and when a band comes up that we all know, then the joy increases. The other side of that though is showing your friends music that you really like hoping that they will also like it. This episode is the definition of that so sit back, relax, and most of all enjoy! We are closing out wives month and heading into the holidays. For those of us who have been listening for awhile knows what that means! That is right, 12 Days of CRUSHmas is returning! So be on the lookout for that. Other than that, check out all of our links to social media and to our patreon page. We are truly thankful for all of you who tune into this podcast. Hello to all of our friends out there! Welcome back to another CRISP November Monday morning and thank you for joining the Music Crush Monday Podcast! We are in week number 3 of wives month and Kevin is up this week to play a long time favorite of his! So check it out!In the previous wive month episodes, Kevin has played a pretty significant band in his life and this week is no different. Although, he doesn't seem to talk about this band as much as he does of previously played bands such as Emery and Twenty One Pilots. This week's band was instrumental in introducing Kevin to so much more music as they combine multiple styles. They were instantly recognizable to all of the hosts this week, how about you? Were you able to guess this band? If you were into this band, are into this band, or never got into them, make sure you go check out the links below to follow and support them! Speaking of supporting, also don't forget to check out the Music Crush Monday Podcast patreon page! For as little as $1 a month, you can get access to more content. Happy Monday to you all! This week we are back with the second episode of Wives Month and Sara is leading the way with a band that she wants to share with the world. You may recognize Sara from previous episodes with the wives but also on the Cocktails with Steve and Sara episodes! In case you didn't know, Sara is one that helps with a lot of our artwork on this podcast so be sure to give her some kudos for that as well!It is always a fun time when we get together to record these episodes to see where we all are currently at in our musical journey or where we were in the past. Sara went with a newer discovery for her (at least in the last year or so) that she discovered through another one of her favorite artists (that MAY have been featured on a Cocktails with Steve and Sara episode). It is cool that even when an artist is out there doing all they can to build a fan base, they also share music that they love to listen to as well. Be sure to come back next week when one of the gentlemen (process of elimination) present some more music in this fun month of November for wives month. We would love to welcome you back to another installment of the Music Crush Monday Podcast! This week we are back on the A-Side and Kevin is hitting the play button. Going back to the “golden” days of music and being at that age of discovering who you are, it is fun to listen to the bands and albums that helped shape who you are. Going back to the rock scene and playing a band that had some quick success and then seemed to fade away just as quickly. Never a huge main stream band selling out arenas but call it the right place and right time maybe? There are not a whole lot of “radio rock” that made the podcast list but this band just stuck out for Kevin at the time and will again for nostalgic reasons put on the album to remember those days in his life. If you are into the music this week, go check out the links in the show notes! The exciting time of year is coming up where we switch things up in November and December! Starting next month we are bringing back the wives for Wives Month! You heard it here first and we are so excited to have that back for you all. A lot of fun things ahead so stay tuned. Hellooooo and welcome back to the Music Crush Monday Podcast! We do regret to inform you, for the first time ever in the history of this show, we had to scrap an episode! We had some technical difficulties and could not salvage what we recorded. Hey, it happens! So to recover and re-do what we did already, we decided to make this a splitsies episode. I know, I know, this isn't the month of November when we usually do our split episodes but consider this a treat to you all. So in case you don't know how this works, we each show a band in one episode, just one song each. Could be something new we are listening to, something older that we re-discovered or just want to give a quick spotlight on the band. Helloooo and welcome back to the Music Crush Monday Podcast! This week Kevin is up and bringing you another band from his past! Something he was really into at one point and listening to them brings him back to his days in High School. Normally on this podcast we try to bring music that represents the band well in case there is a new listener out there, you want to give the band a well rounded try for new ears to hear. Well, this week Kevin openly admits the songs he chose are not the best for this band and he was very selfish in the song selection. You know what? He doesn't feel bad about it! Especially that first song, it is a flash from the past and not a popular song for this band. What is kind of interesting is all of the different guest vocals this band has featured so Kevin went with the oddest pairing of them all. We hope you enjoy this week's band and music just like every other week but there is a strong suggestion that if you are into this style of music, please do go check out more from this band because there is a lot to offer! Hello and welcome back another fun, fast paced, and exciting episode of the Music Crush Monday Podcast! This week, Steve is letting Spotify pick his band for him off of his created playlist and we'll see what happens! Did Spotify make the right choice this week? Ultimately, that is up to you to decide but what does Kevin think? It has been previously discussed on this podcast before that sometimes you come across those bands that are just so good at setting a scene or telling a story. Even if the music isn't your first choice to listen to, it is fun to sit back and just immerse yourself in the story. It is another one of those fantastic things that music can do for someone. Check the calendar, it is Monday and we are back with another new episode! This week Kevin is showing yet another band and is ready to go with two songs. So much preparation this week! Tune in to find out what you think of the band and hear Steve's thoughts as well. Going back to a heavier band this week, this is one that has some mixture of heavy vocals, clean vocals, breakdown riffs, and even electronics. It seems adding some synth to heavier music is the modern “Metalcore” sound. Going way back to the beginning of this podcast the whole “genre” discussion comes into play where you don't really want to pigeonhole a band for what they sound like but it is also necessary to describe what the band sounds like. Kevin also brings up this bands lead singer as he has a side project that is kind of worth checking out as it is very different from the band that he is in but his voice is great and hearing him do a different style of music is great.Check the links below to discover more on the band and to check out all of our contact links to social media. Helloooooooo! Its that time again! You know the drill by now don't you? If you don't, there is nothing to worry about because it is so easy! A certain band is picked, two of their songs are selected, but the mention of the band name is not revealed until after the first song is played. Why do we do this? We want you to take the opportunity to actually listen to a song instead of worrying about who is performing it and maybe, just maybe you'll find something you will enjoy! This week, Steve picked the band, he chose the music, and the guys have a great discussion about it. This week's band is one Steve has liked for quite some time as they made his ultimate list of bands to cover on this podcast. The fun question is always posed when what will the other host of the show think of the band and music? You'll have to tune in to find out!The band this week was signed to Myspace Records which is kind of funny to think that Myspace had a record label! You all remember Myspace right? No? Some of you might not be old enough to remember that. One funny tidbit that is pretty great is per this band's Wikipedia page, it says that the band was signed to Myspace records but announced their break up via Facebook. Oh the irony! Also, we wanted to take the time to thank all of the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice to their country as this episode is being released on Memorial Day. Hellooooo and welcome back to another episode of the Music Crush Monday Podcast! This week Kevin is up and playing a band that goes back to his “roots” a little bit. So come along for the ride and see what you think this week! The band of choice on this episode has become a household name in the rock world some way or another. Love em or hate em, they have accomplished some great things. Kevin discovered this band the same way everyone else did as their first single they ever released catapulted them into mainstream music. From there they have had some great success and continue to make music to this day. Going back to when they first came out they were with the times and the sound they had fit right into what was popular at the time. So of course Kevin was all over it. This week there is also a touchpoint on suicide and how terrible it is. Please remember, if you have ever felt those thoughts or feel alone, we would be more than happy to talk to you! Just reach out to us, you are not alone! Lets talk music or whatever else you want to talk about! Thank you for joining us this week and hopefully you found something you didn’t realize you might exist or you didn’t give a fair chance to. Welcome back to the Music Crush Monday Podcast! We only assume you are coming back to the podcast each and every week. If this is your first trip here then welcome and you have picked a great week to join in on the fun. This week Steve takes a chance with a shuffling of the ultimate playlist. What are we thinking? Well, tune in to see what happens! So this week the shuffle worked! It is a fun concept though of it being a totally blind episode for both hosts but nerve-wracking for Steve as he had NO idea what band or artist we would be listening to once he hit play. Steve ends up getting a band by chance that he has some history with and is actually pretty excited about it. Surprisingly enough, Kevin has a little history with this band as well. What are your thoughts on the music and this band? Reach out to us and let us know! What did you think of this concept? Would you want to see some more of this where it is a completely blind episode for all of us? Steve has quite the playlist to get through so this might be the avenue to take for a while so be ready for that! Happy Monday and welcome back to another episode of the Music Crush Monday Podcast! You know the drill at this point, listen to some tunes, form an opinion, and decide whether you would like to listen to this week’s artist more or not! Simple right? Oh and don’t forget to stick around to listen to Steve and Kevin talk some music as well! This week Kevin is showing us a personal favorite that has been featured on this podcast before. If you have been around long enough to hear the Christmas episodes, you may or may not have heard this week’s band. No spoilers on this end! Kevin does mention this week that growing up he was into a lot of Hip Hop and Rap and discovered this group along his journey and it was just incredibly refreshing at the time to listen to. It was kind of like a breath of fresh air and something that was different from what was normally spinning in his CD player. Although it was something new for him, this group was a massive inspiration to hip hop culture and to many of the artists you hear today. Has this week’s group been given away yet? Tune into the episode to see who it is and hear what they are about. Hopefully you enjoyed this week’s episode! Welcome back to another episode of the Music Crush Monday Podcast! This week Kevin is up and lets the generator pick for him this week because as you know we are extremely prepared at all points in doing this podcast! So buckle up and get ready to hear some tunes and some stories! It was an interesting pick as there isn’t much music out there on this artist but there is plenty of information out there and it was actually the start of a wonderful relationship Kevin started with a little ol band he may reference a few times on this podcast called Silverstein. This week’s selection is where it all began and it is a beautiful thing. It was fun listening to this whole EP together as the gracious hosts of this podcast decided to listen to all three songs. Which one did you like? Which one did you not like? Have you listened to these songs before? We have plenty of ways to chat with us about this week’s episode, any previous episode, and of course about any topic your little heart desires. Don’t be shy, use any and all ways to connect with us! Hellooooooo and welcome back to the Music Crush Monday Podcast! We have another exciting episode for you to check out, like you didn’t already know that?! Or else, why would you be here? I know, I know….sounds arrogant but the truth hurts!A few weeks back Kevin did an episode on a southern California band and it inspired him to stay on that path. The two bands came up together in the scene and Kevin was into both of them at one point. Also, the band image comes up AGAIN this week! What is up with that? Has there ever been a band you were into but their “look” kind of ruined things in a way? Let us know that story and who that band is! You know how to contact us, we only say it EVERY episode. Kevin does point out one small “flaw” in the look of this band, specifically the drummer that just bothered him. Should it be that big of a deal? Probably not….Nonetheless, the conversation is awesome, the music is jamming, and it is all in hope to kick off your week in a way that no one else can!
