Adrian Sherwood is known for his work as a producer, and while that term brings to mind those who simply put their often-subtle imprint on the recordings in which they’re involved, Sherwood’s approach is distinctive and heavily informed by the Dub music which he worked to distribute and to play as a DJ in London in the 1970’s. He has brought that sensibility primarily, but not exclusively, to electronic and electronic dance music, as well as many remixes of work by bands ranging from Depeche Mode, Sinead O’Connor, Primal Scream, Coldcut, and Skinny Puppy. His most recent solo record is 2025’s The Collapse of Everything. Sherwood will perform at the Big Ears Festival in Knoxville, TN in March of 2026. In this episode, he talks about how songs by Lee Perry, Mark Stewart, and Elvis Presley guided his musical development.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Send us a textWhat if everything you thought you knew about aging and health was wrong? What if your genes aren't your destiny, and you could potentially live a vibrant life well past 100 years old?Dr. Mark Sherwood, founder of the Functional Medical Institute and former SWAT officer, brings a revolutionary perspective to health optimization that challenges conventional wisdom. This eye-opening conversation reveals how the modern healthcare system is failing Americans despite costing $10,000 per family annually—more than any other industrialized nation with worse outcomes. The transformation from law enforcement to naturopathic medicine might seem unusual, but Dr. Sherwood explains both share the same core mission: protection and service to mankind. His journey offers powerful inspiration for anyone feeling trapped in their current career, demonstrating how to reinvent yourself by following your passions while maintaining laser focus on your goals. At the heart of Dr. Sherwood's approach are the eight pillars of health—four you control completely (nutrition, sleep, stress management, and movement) and four requiring expert guidance (genetics, hormones, peptides, and supplements). He dismantles the myth that genetics determine our health destiny, explaining that our genes have changed only 2% in 10,000 years. The explosion of chronic disease is primarily environmental, not genetic.Perhaps most revolutionary is Dr. Sherwood's perspective on human lifespan. While many Americans resign themselves to living into their 70s, both biblical texts and scientific evidence suggest humans should naturally live to approximately 120 years when properly caring for their bodies. This isn't theoretical—he references documented cases including Jeanne Calment who lived to 122 and a current Japanese individual who is 118.Throughout the conversation, Dr. Sherwood shares practical wisdom about becoming a "Hope Dealer," someone who spreads hope through small acts of kindness. This philosophy extends beyond physical health to encompass mental wellbeing, community service, relationships, and spirituality—creating a truly balanced approach to longevity.Ready to redefine what's possible for your health and lifespan? Veterans For America First (VFAF) representative Kimberly Moyers connected me to Harry to do this interview. His story is sad but he survived. Tragically, several of his neighbors did not. Forgive the audio as we were dealing with less than ideal conditions. As the National Ambassador for Maryland with Veterans for America First, it is my honor and privilege to help tell the stories of the hero helpers in Texas. As a result of our network of volunteers and God's angels, I was able to connect Mr. Sherwood to a philanthropist near Kerrville, TX who requested and got an RV camper donated to give to Harry for him to live in. Please keep praying for Texas and the victims and their families.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Today on Joe Untamed, we discuss the critical issues driving the national conversation—from intensified federal immigration enforcement to alarming policies reshaping America's schools. We begin with the Trump administration's planned 30-day ICE operation in Chicago, targeting criminal illegal aliens, backed by DHS and potentially the National Guard. As the administration emphasizes law and order, blue-state leaders like Governor Pritzker and Mayor Brandon Johnson are pushing back with lawsuits and resistance. What does this clash reveal about immigration enforcement, public safety, and the scope of federal authority in defiant cities? We break it down. Next, we shift to California, where troubling reports from the Temecula Valley Unified School District expose how girls are being coerced into citing mental health concerns to avoid sharing restrooms with biological males—a stark example of progressive policies clashing with parental rights and student well-being. We're calling it out. Later, we're joined by Dr. Mark Sherwood, a former SWAT officer, gubernatorial candidate, and renowned functional medicine expert. With his rare blend of law enforcement experience and health expertise, Dr. Sherwood delivers a fearless take on America's missteps. We explore the NIH's probe into SSRIs and their possible ties to mass violence, particularly in notable transgender cases in Minnesota and elsewhere. Dr. Sherwood also addresses the medicalization of gender identity in children, comparing it to other self-harming conditions society would never endorse. From the erosion of the nuclear family to the growing reliance on pharmaceuticals over lifestyle changes, his perspective is unflinching, grounded, and rooted in principles the mainstream avoids. In response to overwhelming audience interest, we're doubling down on the EPA's groundbreaking deregulation of diesel emissions rules—highlighting how these reforms not only boost passenger safety and reduce costs but represent a wider return to common-sense government under the Trump administration. You'll hear exactly how to make your voice heard in Washington with today's fax blast, pressuring Congress to support the 10-for-1 deregulatory strategy that's already saving American families thousands.

Expansive dub vibrations from the On-U Sound maestro. Adrian Sherwood has spent nearly five decades reshaping how dub is heard and felt. From absorbing reggae and funk as a teenager at the Newlands Club in High Wycombe to cofounding On-U Sound in 1979, he's been a restless force in British sound system culture. His debut production, Dub From Creation, signalled his instinct to twist the Jamaican form into bold, experimental directions. That spirit defined On-U Sound, where reggae collided with post-punk, industrial and synth pop to forge a catalogue still unlike anything else. Sherwood became a crucial bridge, producing for legends like Prince Far I, Bim Sherman and Lee “Scratch” Perry, while also working with Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails and Sinéad O'Connor. His RA Mix (yes, you read that right) arrives at a moment of renewal—RA.1001 is the first in a new era for the series. (After 1,000 editions of the RA Podcast, we're updating the name to better reflect what it's become.) Recorded at his Ramsgate studio, the 76-minute mix folds in cuts from The Collapse Of Everything alongside material from across the On-U Sound universe, plus collaborations with Panda Bear, Sonic Boom, Coldcut and Spoon. It's Sherwood doing what he's always done: stretching dub into endless new shapes. Find the interview and tracklist at ra.co/podcast/1019
The upcoming release of the new Robin Hood-themed tabletop roleplaying game, The Hooded Man, provides me the opportunity to indulge in some discussion about ttrpgs, a topic that I've been closely connected to for many years.Graham Rose, writer of The Hooded Man, joins me to discuss his game, his sources of inspiration, what he wanted to convey about what it would be like to simulate about being a medieval outlaw, and we go through the process of making a character for the game. A process that was both faster and more evocative than most other ttrpgs. What a battle! In 2015, X Games decided that FMX Best Trick was getting too gnarly, so they decided to tame things down and bring the Quarter Pipe Best Trick comp so hopefully no one would kill themselves live on ESPN.But that didn't stop Tom Pages, Josh Sheehan, Levi Sherwood, Jey Rouanet, Davi Johnson and Cam Sinclair from sending it hard with probably more crashes than we've seen in a regular Best Trick competition!I joined Clint Esposito on the Two Wheels to Freedom YT for a companion piece as we step back in time 10 years ago to when Quarter Pipe's were all the rage and some new innovation was coming thick and fast.

This episode features my conversation with Tom Sherwood, the owner and winemaker of BXT Wines in California. BXT is an exploration of Californian viticulture through the lens of traditionally made sparkling wine. The idea of “Bubbles by Tom“ (BXT) is to take a grower-Champagne mentality and apply it to hand-crafted sparkling wines from grapes grown throughout California, and Tom seeks out interesting vineyard sites to work with for producing his small batches of these wines. He started this project in 2018 inspired by grower Champagne, but he grew up in Australia where he says he stumbled into wine making when he attended Adelaide University and studied Viticulture and Enology. He not only discovered a love for this career but he also me his now wife, Britt, who also works in the wine industry as the Director of Winemaking for Lawrence Wine Estates in Napa, CA. Tom was not afraid to get a little nerdy while talking about the details of his grape growing and winemaking practices, and you'll appreciate his transparency during our discussion about wine pricing and the state of the market for domestic sparkling wine. You can visit www.bxtwines.com to learn more about the portfolio, and you can connect with Tom by following @bxtwines on Instagram.Recorded July 20, 2025
