In this inspiring episode, Pastor Karl takes listeners through the richness of Romans 8, a chapter he calls the "sparkle of the diamond" of God's Word. While setting the stage to cover verses 1-20 in depth this week (with 29-39 to follow next week), he weaves in key insights from the entire chapter. Beginning with the freeing truth of "no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus," Pastor Karl explains how Jesus liberates us from the law of sin and death, replacing it with a new life empowered by the Spirit. Through relatable analogies—like starving the old self and riding a bike uphill—he highlights the transformative power of the Holy Spirit and God's promise to work all things together for good, even our pain, for those who love Him. Touching on our adoption as God's children and the synergy of His providence, Pastor Karl invites listeners into a life of trust and freedom. Join him as he unpacks these profound truths, encouraging you to read all 39 verses of Romans 8 and reflect on what it means to live as a co-heir with Christ!Watch all our sermons on our youtube channel "Flipside Christian Church"Join us in person 9:00am & 10:30am every Sunday morning.37193 Ave 12 #3h, Madera, CA 93636For more visit us at flipside.churchFor more podcasts visit flipsidepodcasts.transistor.fm
"The Providence Of God" Acts 28:16-31 Brother Wade Cox 16 And when we came to Rome, the centurion delivered the prisoners to the captain of the guard: but Paul was suffered to dwell by himself with a soldier that kept him.17 And it came to pass, that after three days Paul called the chief of the Jews together: and when they were come together, he said unto them, Men and brethren, though I have committed nothing against the people, or customs of our fathers, yet was I delivered prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans.18 Who, when they had examined me, would have let me go, because there was no cause of death in me.19 But when the Jews spake against it, I was constrained to appeal unto Caesar; not that I had ought to accuse my nation of.20 For this cause therefore have I called for you, to see you, and to speak with you: because that for the hope of Israel I am bound with this chain.21 And they said unto him, We neither received letters out of Judaea concerning thee, neither any of the brethren that came shewed or spake any harm of thee.22 But we desire to hear of thee what thou thinkest: for as concerning this sect, we know that every where it is spoken against.23 And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.24 And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not.25 And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet unto our fathers,26 Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive:27 For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.28 Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.29 And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, and had great reasoning among themselves.30 And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him,31 Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.

A homily for the 2nd Sunday of Advent.
12/4/2024 StoryTellers Live is launching our 300th episode today (yes, you read that right!), and we're praising the Lord for what he's done through the ministry. All week long our team has been remembering the good while anticipating the great things to come. And this blessed rhythm of looking back and looking forward is just what you'll hear from Laurel Henson, of West Cobb, in her story about love after loss. When Laurel's first husband died of cancer, she became a widowed mother of three at age 36. Laurel was grieving but grinding, saying “I've got this” to God on the regular. As the Lord redemptively paved the way for new love, Ephesians 3:20 shone brightly in her world: “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.” Listen to Laurel and you'll breathe in the precious providence of God. After all, He is sovereign over not just the bitter details of life, but the sweetest ones, too. In this episode, you will learn: – The Lord is always working in your waiting. – He can redeem the hardships in your life and work them for good. – When we partner with God by trusting in Him, He will do much more than we think or imagine. In part two of our series called Absurdity of Generosity, Pastor Mel teaches how trusting in the providence of God is crucial to being generous. We can be generous with others because we know that God is generous with us. Generosity begins with the question, "What can God do with what I have in my hand?" Contentment is a key part of learning to be generous because if you're not content then you'll always be looking for the next gain. Preaching through Mark 6, Mel reminds us of the power of God's providence by unpacking the story of Jesus feeding the 5,000. This message includes a special surprise of radical generosity given to a service-worker in our community.

Chapter 9 and 10 show the natural response to the Goodness of God - celebration. We must celebrate the goodness of God and praise him for all he has done. You need not worry about what the enemy has planned for you. Just have faith that the reverse is going to occur. God influences others through your trials and impending victories.Motivation matters. Success is rooted in the Why. It's important to remember all that has been accomplished on our behalf. If God doesn't get praise for the good things in your life, then he doesn't deserve your anger either.
Message from Matt Ham on October 13, 2024
Esther continues to lay herself at the king's feet, this time for the rescue of the Jews. In Chapter 8 we see that God not only hears his people, and spares his people, but blesses his people. This is God at work to bring about the redemption of his people. that God's redemption isn't simply about removing bad but replacing it with better. In this moment, we see that faith builds.Occasionally, we must participate in our own deliverance. The proper response to witnessing the work of God is to rejoice.
Haman's evil deeds are brought to light. God's people will not be wiped out by the evil plans of others. Haman brought his destruction on himself, and again we see God's work from the beginning.Esther shows us the way in which we should approach the Lord - with humility and hope.God sees, he hears, and he moves.A lack of appreciation for our blessings leads to our destruction. Someone out there is praying for the family you take for granted. The home you wish was bigger. The job that pays your bills. We cannot let our sinful nature outweigh our blessings. What the enemy means for evil, God uses for good.
"And Naomi had a kinsman of her husband's, a mighty man of wealth, of the family of Elimelech; and his name was Boaz. And Ruth the Moabitess said unto Naomi, Let me now go to the field, and glean ears of corn after him in whose sight I shall find grace. And she said unto her, Go, my daughter. And she went, and came, and gleaned in the field after the reapers: and her hap was to light on a part of the field belonging unto Boaz, who was of the kindred of Elimelech. And, behold, Boaz came from Bethlehem, and said unto the reapers, The Lord be with you. And they answered him, The Lord bless thee. Then said Boaz unto his servant that was set over the reapers, Whose damsel is this? And the servant that was set over the reapers answered and said, It is the Moabitish damsel that came back with Naomi out of the country of Moab: And she said, I pray you, let me glean and gather after the reapers among the sheaves: so she came, and hath continued even from the morning until now, that she tarried a little in the house."
